We got hot toastie. They really was not the best. However they was ok to eat. And hot.

Arrived 15 minutes late and two of the items were incorrect. Shocking!

Really notice how Costa has declined in general now in terms of quality and service and this is very noticeable here. Service is at times rude, mostly tolerant and never buzzing or exceptional. Can’t make a vegan coffee to save lives! Didn’t froth the vegan milk enough which meant it was warm rather than hot and not particularly foamy.

no drivers available. waited over an hour for delivery. coffee had spilt all over the bag Inc food. Froth had gone from being on delivery so long and no tracking available 😕 not great!

I met a pal for coffee and a natter. This is clearly a local hub in Thorpe Bay. Pleasant staff, a good selection of cakes, pastries and biscuits. Our drinks were served at the table and hot as appropriate. Tables were kept clear and clean too (which is always a good indicator of caring staff). I recently visited this Costa Coffee Shop and was thoroughly impressed by the delicious plethora of food and drink. The atmosphere was lovely, and despite it being a busy time, the service was superb. A special mention must go to Jack (Moustache Man) whose charm and humour added to the experience. Additionally, I was pleasantly surprised by their exceptional understanding of nut allergy protocols. The staff were attentive and proactive in ensuring my experience was safe and enjoyable. From carefully checking ingredients to preparing my order separately to avoid cross contamination, they went above and beyond to accommodate my allergy needs. Their commitment to customer safety and satisfaction truly made a difference, and I left feeling grateful and confident in their handling of nut allergies. Highly recommend!

Got a cortado here and it might be the worst one I’ve ever had. The milk was frothed rather than steamed and it was hotter than the surface of the sun (burnt). With some training this Costa might be passable

Staff were lovely but one side of toasty was rock hard, the other side was like eating rubber. The large decaffeinated coffee with whole milk & an extra shot was so weak & tasted of vanilla, not pleasant.

Toastie arrived cold, hard and burnt and took an hour to be delivered

I had ordered 2×flatwhite with an extra shot of coffee and 2×cortados. I received four coffees that where more like cups of milk than anything which was received poorly to say the least

Always so friendly and quick! I go there most week day mornings for my coffee. Always remembers everyone's orders. Great coffee!

Great experience, Cameron was super considerate and after ordering soy mocha and soy hot chocolate asked if I would like chocolate powder but it contained dairy. That extra touch of kindness goes a long way especially with dairy intolerance. Thank you Cameron 😊

Went in for 2 T/away drinks about 3pm on a cold Thursday afternoon three lovely guys all very friendly and the drinks were made spot on ..Black Forest hot chocolate & gingerbread latte .. perfect !

This was my cappuccino less than half full . Delivery order . For what they charge expected to get a full cup at least .

driver could of done/been better, he was on his phone while delivering my order and shouting at the other person, I live in block of flats and disturbed a neighbour

The staff are great. The coffee drinks could be better. Generally the drinks are overly sweet and the flavours seem artificial.

I CANT BELIEVE THIS!!! I have waited 45 mins for a bumbaraasclart frappe and a ham and cheese toaster this is so… nvmd it’s here all good ❤️

One item was missing my white hot chocolate which I paid for and haven’t been refunded yet, and my vanilla latte turned out to be just a regular latte after I paid extra for the syrup.

Three ladies behind the not exactly busy counter, if they spent less time chatting and more time asking if the customer wants their coffee and sandwich to have inside or take away - then maybe the older one would’t feel the need to ask what was wrong when I was less than impressed with the take away cup and take away sandwich, seeing as I was planning on sitting in. And by asking, I mean shouting across the shop at me. Customer service, poor.

Gluten free option appears to have be removed from online allergy menu and staff just shrugged shoulders before eventually getting a folder which looked out of date from under counter

Hi there I ordered x 2 cappuccinos , 1 with a shot of gingerbread syrup. I’m not sure what I’ve received but we have x1 cappuccino and the other is completely different, it’s filled to the top with hot water , harder any foam and it barely taste of coffee or syrup. This is really disappointing as this was a father days breakfast treat for my husband

Twice i have ordered a chocolate muffin and twice i have been sent biscuits.

Great. Was mix up over the sandwich but it was all sorted fairly quickly and arrived all very nice . They rang to apologise about the mix up with the sandwhiches etc too which was really appreaciated. Food tastes great too, bubble tea really refreshing.

The sausage bap roll was cremated that you’d need a hammer and chisel to get through it! Inedible!

This is by far the best costa in the area, staff are always polite and friendly, we were served by Jordan last Saturday morning whose customer service skills are excellent , looking forward to our next visit

Don't normally write reviews for chain coffee shops. Came here for a take away coffee. What really stood out was the friendliness of the staff

Ordered two drinks both drinks had completely leaked through the bags also ordered a toastie which was put in the same bag as the drinks so couldn’t enjoy that either as was covered in our coffee

Revived my order, and the coffee was leaking everywhere when I received it plus my rocky road was also melted

Awful tasting coffee. More akin to what I imagine bath water to taste like after giving the dog a wash. Asked for it to not to be too hot but as with all Costas, recieved something that peeled the tip of my tongue off.

Look, its a Costa coffee place. Its exactly what you expect, clean, calm vibes, good coffee, pleasant staff, a wide variety of snacks and confections on offer, you know the drill.

Always running out of items but accepting order, when speak to manager extremely rude and have an oh well attitude, not our problem. Should not accept orders if can’t deliver

Massive thank you to George and Zamira for helping us stay cool with 4 customised Frappes - we know we were difficult with our requests and it’s far to ‘HOT’ to be messing around today. But, we were so grateful and they were soooo nice. Thanks for also helping to keep Milo (the dog) cool and hydrated with some fresh ice water and cream!!🐶😊

Drinks took a little bit longer to get here. Meaning both were melted by the time we got them. I understand it’s a hot day but the order time kept getting extended

Two times in a row they have not given the correct order for...THREE drinks...three. It's not exactly rocket science is it. Twice they have failed to check the delivery driver has all the items. When I called they said they couldn't do anything about it. Utterly ridiculous service.

Excellent quality of service. However the menu is extremely limited in what is offered: time after time items show unavailable. Not worth trying to buy food.
