I had the battered cod and chips, the batter was very hard and quite greasy. The meal cost seemed a little high so not in a rush to return. Waitress was very attentive though, and it's always nice to catch up with friends in amy case.

Absolute joke. Ordered dessert and waited 40 minutes, nothing. No one bothered to check if we had received our food. I decided to ask myself where our food was, the staff didn't have a clue. Not even an apology for making us wait 40 minutes. Order hadn't even been put through. Terrible customer service. Avoid this place.

Awful Sunday lunch - started off with the waitress getting the drinks order wrong. Starters were ok, nothing exciting though. The starter plates were not collected and mains were served, waitress was quite rude when we pointed this out. The whole party had a roast with different meats, and not one was edible. So disappointed and will not be returning

Visted this pub restuarant Saturday 26 Oct for an evening meal, we did reserve a table, but on arriving our table was occupied, we were informed there had been a booking error so we had to make do with an alternative in the corner. Not a good start, the young waitress asked would we like drinks, I enquired what ale's were available, she didn't have a clue, I had to walk to the bar to find out myself. The menu had changed and lacked variety from previous visits, the food was acceptable but not what you would expect at the prices charged. We would not be returning, it was suppose to be a birthday treat but all in all a dissapointing evening. The staff and AdminTeam need training on a number of issues to make this Restuarant work efficiently. RLT

This is a great pub if you want a tasty lunch or dinner! 🍽️ Me and the wife only found it early this year due to recommendations from family. The food is a great mix of pub classics with a fancy twist, but still with classic pub portions. Highly recommend! 👍 #foodie #pubfood #greatfood

Possibly the worse Sunday roast I have had in a long time, I don’t think any of it was freshly prepared, terrible potatoes and dreadful cold Yorkshire pudding. The beef was rare and covered in fat and gristle. The whole dish had a very strange smell about it. This place has so many staff standing around, however it takes ages to get served at the bar. Talk about go down the pan, used to be a decent place.

Me, my wife and my father in law came into the pub for a few drinks. We were kicked off our table because someone booked it online and "because we didn't reserve it, they could book it" regardless of the fact we were there before they booked. Utterly shocking system.

Great experience at the restaurant for Sunday lunch. Waitress was absolutely lovely - friendly to the whole party including the children and very attentive. Food was delicious and the portion size is great! Also the value for the 8 of us eating there was much better than at other places we have visited. Great accommodation of dogs and super close to hainault forest for pre/post walks. Bathrooms also kept well and clean. Would highly recommend and would visit again.

Great place to eat outside in a summers day especially during the week. Eating inside is usually great too but I don’t recommend Sundays as it’s rammed! But after visiting for the third time and each time have had service issues, long waits for food, food arriving at different times and mix ups with other table orders, I see this is clearly a lasting problem rather than a one off and puts me off going back. The portions of what we had were very small and the meals were not what we expected - I ordered the fish cake! Great disappointment - no taste and almost just enough to suit a child’s portion, the onion rings were not cooked properly and very greasy as was the garlic bread which was dripping with oil Overall not a good experience for food - but the venue itself comfortable Improvements need to be made before we come back again!

Having eaten and reviewed many pubs & restaurants throughout the years. The Two Brewers is easily the best for food I have tried !! I have Anniversary lunch with my Mrs here and the food not only tasted amazing but also looked great and obviously prepared by a great chef who cares about food. The Malaysian Curry and Crispy Beef salad were both exceptional. Twin this with perfect service with a smile, and this is a gastro pub getting it spot on. I ate here many years ago and thinking the food was great then, but this was even better. Thanks to the staff and chef for making our date a truly special one!!

So very disappointed with our meal today 28 July 2024. I ordered beef roast dinner. It was awful. Meat inedible, so tough and chewy. Yorkshire pudding cold. Roast potatoes just about warm and tasted like they were not fresh. Greens were mush and green beans hard. Whole meal tasteless. My husband ordered the Cod and Chips. His meal was no better. Fish dry and the batter hard. Chips barely warm. Again, absolutely tasteless

After reading the recent dire reviews on the way to the Two Brewers, thought we had made a real booboo coming...however we were certainly not disappointed, the food was absolutely delish, wine and beer ice cold and staff very friendly! Couldn't really go wrong with our choice of starters including squid, pate and peppers Padron, all came out quick, well presented, and the mains, salmon, fish and chips and braised lamb shoulder were also well cooked, decent portion sizes and tasty, so think the issue with the food and service might have been resolved now, fingers crossed! My only issue was being charged extra for the additional single slice of toast for the pate, ratio of pate to toast was definitely wrong in my humble opinion...but we will be back Brewers x

A Proper Local for a Weekend Lunch This cosy pub has become our go-to spot for a leisurely weekend lunch. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in a warm, inviting atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease. The food here is simply smashing. Whether you're in the mood for classic pub grub or something a bit more adventurous, the kitchen delivers brilliantly. Their dishes are prepared with the freshest ingredients and bursting with flavour. I'm particularly fond of their fish and chips - the batter is perfectly crispy and the fish is always flaky and moist. But what really sets this place apart is the service. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring your glass is never empty and your needs are always met with a smile. They make you feel like a valued regular, even if it's your first visit. On sunny days, the outdoor patio is an absolute delight. Soak up some rays while enjoying your meal al fresco and watching the world go by. But even on dreary days, the indoor dining area is bright and airy, with a lively ambience that's sure to lift your spirits. No matter what brings you here, be sure to save room for pudding. Their sweet treats are the perfect indulgent finale to a wonderful meal. In a city overflowing with dining options, this pub stands out as a true local gem. It's the kind of place that feels like an extension of your living room – warm, welcoming, and always leaving you eager to return.

Service was awful, my girlfriend’s food took over an hour and never arrived, they said that they had refunded us but the refund is still yet to come. Unfortunately our visit was very poor. Food was not what was expect from a ‘gastro’ pub. Service and resolving problems with the food was awful. We ordered the sardine tempura as it sounded different . It was very oily and not good. Batter was not a light tempura coating. The real issues came when we ordered 2 x steak sandwiches. The meat was so tough and gristly that we were unable to chew. When we returned the dishes we were told that they would take it up with the suppliers. We asked if there was any remedy and we were told no (no discount, apology, alternative option etc). So after spending over £30 on food that was un-edible we will not be returning to this pub with very average food.

Terrible service and worse food! Such an awful experience on a Sunday lunchtime. We had to return the pork loin because it was too dry to eat, and it was replaced with a portion very similar. The beef is advertised as “pink” and it most certainly wasnt, and the potatoes were all chewy. We booked a dog friendly table and despite lots of dogs coming through the bar area barking at our two frenchies, we were told there were complaints about our dogs barking and asked to leave, being stared at by staff while we asked for the bill, without even having ordered dessert - we were in fact not even offered dessert menus! When I complained about the food and treatment of us at the end, I was met with essentially a blank stare and told I would get an email which I course did not. Have been previously and had a lovely experience but this has put my whole family off for good! I will be contacting the restaurant for compensation as we didnt eat 4 of the meals due to how bad the standard was!

I pointed this out to them and they offered me another but I didn't have time to wait for another order. When they took my plate away they could see big clods of raw pastry so knew it was inedible. And they still charged me full price and added the service charge. So it seems they are quite happy to serve inedible food as long as they get all their money.

Dear Sarah and team, Wow what a fantastic day we had on Saturday on our wedding day - our new favourite place to be! Right from the start, you have been outstanding. You understood our requests and helped turn them into reality. You allowed us to have a say over our menu, catering for all our guests’ needs and the room looked amazing on the day. You helped us set up the night before and were so warm and welcoming. You have become a true friend to us since planning started. Sarah, you have the perfect balance of being professional, with a keen eye for detail but also warm and compassionate. You knew how important the day was for us and I could tell you made it your personal mission to make sure it was perfect. You even took in the flower delivery in the morning and laid out the table beautifully. You ensured we were given privacy on the day when needed for our speeches and yet always on hand if we needed it. The food was exquisite and everyone said it was cooked and presented to perfection. All of this was overseen by you and you even popped in to see us before your shift ended to say goodbye and wish us luck. I don’t think I have ever seen someone who takes such pride in the service they offer. The ambiance of the Two Brewers is second to none. It’s like a warm hug. All the lovely locals were wishing us well and saying how happy we looked. We truly were. Even the manager popped by to say last orders and check if we wanted anything. We felt completely at home all day. We could not have had a better time. We will be booking “our room” for all family events in the future and you have definitely gained some new regulars! We love you all for everything you did. Please make sure you pass this onto your supervisor, as you certainly deserve significant recognition for all you did. See you soon and sending you lots of thanks and hugs!

I recently had the opportunity to visit the Two Brewers pub on Mother's Day, but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The main issue I had was the exorbitant prices for their roasts, which exceeded £20 per serving. Upon receiving my meal, I was disappointed to find that it consisted of only two slices of beef and two un-roasted potatoes that lacked any crispiness. The beef itself tasted more like it had been boiled rather than roasted, which was a major letdown. The vegetables were acceptable, but nothing special. On a more positive note, the starters were quite enjoyable. However, the dessert menu was limited and underwhelming. Throughout our meal, I noticed a lack of interaction from the staff, despite being seated near the counter. We had to ask multiple times for drinks and other necessities, as no one bothered to inquire about our needs. Additionally, the cutlery was not replenished after the starters, and we had to request more. When ordering two roasts, we were not asked if we wanted mustard or horseradish, and once again, we had to ask for it ourselves. Overall, I felt as though the staff were not particularly concerned about our presence or satisfaction. The experience was mediocre at best, and I would not return to the Two Brewers pub. In comparison, The King Will pub up the road offers superior service and more reasonable prices, making it a far more appealing option. A meal for two, two courses and only 1 alcoholic drink was almost £100 - daylight robbery really.

Great pub, great atmosphere and dog friendly. Staff go above and beyond, had to lower the rating on food giving benefit of doubt as it was Mother’s Day, so I’m sure it was a stressful service, but chef was taking shortcuts to bang the food out, didn’t season the dish and it was all bland, when you pay £24 for a main you expect basic seasoning. Also the broccoli was rock hard and raw, coffees after were almost cold on delivery then they gave us the wrong bill which was twice as expensive than what we had, so close to being a great establishment, but if food is not up to scratch you sadly can’t come back, I would like to reiterate front of house A*, kitchen let’s them down!

Lovely looking building and cosy, waitress we had was fantastic but the food was just flavourless and overcooked pretty sure it had been sitting under a heat lamp for ages and for the cost being nearly £50 a head, could have got a better quality burger and fish n chips from the local chippy and at a fraction of the price, won't be returning. Great atmosphere but service was very slow. They told us there were no more sausage and mash and then turned up with some. Very confusing. Fish and chips should be relabelled batter and chips as the fish content was so small. Shame as it’s a lovely pub but service was very poor.

Went there for Xmas dinner. £95. Waited a hour for first course, stuck on a bench in the pub. There were 5 of us, but only got 4 crackers. The photos on website look beautiful, in reality, well what can I say. Would never recommend for anything special, maybe a walk through lunch.

Utterly disappointed with this evenings meal (boxing day) a complete contrast to previous years here. There was a bleak atmosphere, nothing felt special or welcoming. Then the food, which had been pre ordered, arrived, the camembert was lovely. However, the crab was grey paste on an uncooked crumpet, and the pate was also awful. Mains didn't get much better, the fish dish was almost inedible due to the vast amount of salt and seasoning, one had a scallop and the other had none. The beef appeared to have been kept warm, evident by the tin foil in the gravy, another great disappointment. The potato fondant also arrived on the plate disguised as an ice hockey puck. The dessert arrived, and I honestly can not describe the baked alaska any better than a splat of marshmallow on a plate, portion fit for a mouse. The chocolate trifle was actually a layer of flavourless gelatine with chocolate curls. All in all the child's meal was the best in ingredients and size. The bar was also closed whilst we were still eating and had arrived 40 minutes early. I would like to express that the waiting staff were lovely and this is no revelation on them. This is a review for higher management.

My favourite local Pub of 24 years is sadly slipping. Super service as always, but the ohhh so simple Bangers & Mash is one too avoid - tasteless sausages! And the Fish & Chips was also poor with the batter too hard backed 🫣. Please up your game guys.

Loved it. Nice polite staff. We got there earlier than booked, staff updated us on our wait and we were seated on time. The food was delicious and my bill for roast dinner and mini pudding with coffee was £30 Inc tip. Dogs allowed and they were in a separate area, and there is a doggy menu available too. Would recommend.

This is the 3rd time I've visited this last time the food was not as good. I was very disappointed hence my scoring the menu was not as good I had to use a variety of starters for my mains as no fish. I felt that it was rushed and I was given the last in the pot of the fish starterr I do like the place. Hopefully the Saturday menu will be better

What a lovely warm welcoming local village pub, the staff are very friendly and welcoming, plenty of different beers and ale to choose from the food was amazing, they are a pet friendly pub too, we had our dog inside with us and everyone that walked past acknowledge him like he was a person lovely atmosphere, they even have doggy treats on the bar so you can grab a pint yourself and a treat for you pooch, dog bowls for water just outside the main door, what a quaint lovely place. 100% recommended.

Poor overall experience from start to finish. Waited 1 hour 25 min for main courses (one of which was a salad) despite restaurant being half empty. Food very average. Toilets flooded wading through water to get to urinal. Wouldnt recommend or go back. Little choice for anyone lactose intolerant and in fact no dessert option at all

Had an average meal and got completely robbed. Went with a group of three and we all got £100 parking charge on our cars. Went at night when the signs were not marked properly and no staff mentioned the parking on entry. Ultimately this company got the bill paid plus an extra £100 per head on parking fees. I am happy to amend this review if they can make it right. If your reading this now you can assume the above never happened. Be careful of this place as you could leave like me.... Feeling scammed
