I'll start by getting the negative bits out of the way - We booked last minute (no, not the website) so we were in one of the cheaper rooms in the 'annex' and the water pressure for the shower and the toilet wasn't great. There was also a mix up at dinner, but it got sorted. On to the good stuff... The grounds & gardens are amazing, picturesque and lots of places to find a quiet corner and chill. And there are newts in the pond. The pool is lovely, although it was a bit cold, but that's the British 'summer' for you... Fortunately the jacuzzi's there to warm you back up afterwards. The location is bang on! We did 2hour+ walks each day, both of which they gave info for on the website and they helped us discover some great new (not easy to find) bits of the Cotswold's, both will be used for our YT walking channel. The interior of the hotel itself is great, take the time to have a look around, especially the seats by the window at the top of the stairs on the second floor, great spot for the sunset. And then there is the restaurant - our evening meal was the best chateaubriand I've had, with an excellent Rioja (great wine list), then we had breakfast included and all the boxes got ticked. Their home made hash brown really was GOOD. Also special mention for barman Josh, who is not only a dab hand at the cocktails, but also knows his wine. Yes, we'll be back.

We booked a winter dinner bed and breakfast package for our wedding anniversary and were very pleased we chose the Burleigh Court. Wendy took our booking over the phone and from the warmth of her conversation we knew we would be looked after and not come away disappointed. The hotel is lovely and you feel as if you have arrived in a friend's house from the moment you arrive. The dinner was really lovely. Excellent food, beautifully presented and really well cooked. The stone bass main course was divine. Josh and Erin looked after us so well, and we were delighted to be presented with a congratulations desert plate for our anniversary, a really nice touch. The continental breakfast was just enough to set us on our way, and again the staff were exceptional. We cannot praise Burleigh Court enough, and would recommend it for a winter break. We cannot wait to return for another sojourn in the summer to enjoy the beautiful gardens and outdoor patios. A GnT on the lawn awaits!!!

We visited Burleigh Court for a 'Supper Club' at the end of February 2024; we know the hotel well, but this was the first time we had booked a taster meal. Guests, there were 8 of us, were sat around a large table separate from the main restaurant. This worked well as it allowed privacy, yet encouraged conversation between all the diners. Service was excellent with several visits from the manager, waiters serving food promptly and an appearance by the chef at the end of the evening. We enjoyed a five course meal; portion size was larger than expected but not over-facing. There was a choice of main course, but other dishes were the chef's choice. All were quality and there were empty plates all around the table. We will certainly return

Trying to be something it's not! Dated, and overpriced rooms. Scruffy and dirty. Yes, it's a period property but our room reflected the late 1970's early 1980's period! I did ask for alternative accommodation but they said "sorry nothing available enjoy your stay." Booked through PetsPyjamas who were absolutely appalling in my opinion. Update In response to your comment recently "refurbished." Please see attached photos. PetsPyjamas stated that it was your responsibility. Classic example of "passing the buck" to avoid resolution. Customer loses out again.

We were excited to come and after getting the app which looks very high class and professional. We arrived and the first thing was how awkward it was to get to the place the roads are dark and riddled with pot holes. The hotel offers free parking but this is compromised for paying guests because the restaurant is open to the public who take every space. There isn't any parking for disabled parking. I personally suffered a full Stroke and it would be helpful to a disabled parking space. The hotel in parts looks tired especially in the room we were in .It decorated in a kind of 1950 style it's OK but the decor let's it down. The hotel has a 4.5 star rating but I don't know why the rooms have no fridge ,no safes .The bathroom is very tired looking and the shower thermostat is faulty and the water fluxes from cold to red 🥵 hot .We won't be returning any time soon.It wasn't value for money 3 days cost £635.

You will need a car to reach this place. Really pretty hotel, very cosy with nice grounds. Shower was tiny if you require a larger shower. Breakfast was excellent. The staff are all are very friendly and obliging. Somewhat formal. Do not recommend the restaurant outside breakfast at all. Too pricey with tiny portions and not correctly described either. Better head to town for a decent meal, where there’s plenty of choice.

From the moment we entered the front door and we were met by Wendy, we knew we were in for special treatment. From reception to checking out, all aspects of our short stay and private dining were faultless. Our room was beautiful, as were the surrounding grounds. The selection of drinks was very good, although a real ale would have been welcome. The bar service to the cosy lounge was very good and the warm fire was very welcome. Our meal and private dining experience was excellent and the wine recommendations from Jonathan were well received. All the table waiting staff were charming, polite and very efficient. Hard to fault Burleigh Court in any aspect and I would highly recommend this quite fabulous establishment to anyone.

We had a quick one night stay with our 2 Goldens which was our first time taking our dogs with us to a hotel, so we were a little anxious as we would hate to disturb other guests or annoy staff. However, we were welcomed by Wendy and Erin and they made us feel extremely comfortable, but also, that the dogs were a highlight of their day and that Burleigh Court was just as much for Brie and Bishop as it was for us. Erin was very kind, attentive and clearly loved dogs which made our time even better. She was a delight to be around, and our dogs appreciated her attention especially. Wendy was lovely to chat with, couldn’t do enough for us and helped make our dining experience in the evening even better when she arranged so that us and another family with a dog ate in separate areas so the dogs could relax while we ate. It took that extra bit of stress off our shoulders and that meant a lot. The room and hotel was beautiful, comfortable and cozy, and the food excellent, but it was the customer service from the staff that made it stand out. (The only thing we wished for was a fridge in the room to keep our dogs food in, if we had that it would have been perfect.) A must stay if you’re looking to visit the area and have a fluffy family member with you!

Charming manor house style hotel. Love the coziness of the whole facility. Burleigh Court is intimate, with a convenient location that makes for a great hub for visiting all the towns and villages of the Cotswolds. Our room was on the third floor, and had a great view of the back of the property. We were too busy sightseeing to do anymore than coming home to have a drink, but the bar and its tenders made for a easy relaxing end of day. EV charger on far end of parking lot. Would definitely stay again. What a pleasure to be at Burleigh Court.

A massive thank you to all the staff who helped make my son and daughter-in-law's wedding on Saturday a success. We did thank many of the staff we saw on Saturday and Sunday morning but are aware that there are many more that we didn't see. So could you please pass on our thanks to everyone who helped make the day perfect, front of house and behind the scenes (kitchen and housekeeping, groundsmen etc.) - I know it would have been a lot of work for everyone. We were made to feel so welcome from the minute we arrived and staff throughout the day went out of their way to look after everyone, from the youngest (9 months old) to the oldest (94). The service we received from everyone felt so personal and it made everyone feel special, not just the bride and groom. The food was fantastic - massive compliments to the chef(s). Once again, thank you for helping make their special day perfect!

We booked dinner at the 2 rosette star restaurant… On arrival no one was to be seen, then we’re even ignored. Eventually we sad down to a very wobble central table at 6.35pm . On the table next to us there was afternoon left from previous diners … why was it not cleared away. Wine list was very poor not any white wines to choose from, however the Sancere was nice. We were offered bread 🥖 tiny roll size of a profiterole - we asked for 2 but we’re told as it’s a busy night we may run out 🤣… ok this was hilarious. My daughter had a long hair in hers. However thought we shall continue to make the most of our evening. Choice on the menu very limited . So the family of 6 decided on the cauliflower soup. It was simply watered down perhaps they did want to run out of it. It was truly tasteless not even salt and pepper could help. Other diners felt the same from seeing they facial expressions too. Main course oh dear salted cod was inedible truly salty and disgusting . Which again neither did I or my mother finish . My husband and daughter had a shared platter of beef which I tasted a little and was good - however the vegetables were again terrible over boiled and soft … why ? Personally roasted with fresh herbs would have been delicious. Another daughter has duck which was I believe ok. We all opted to skip dessert. Coffee was good 👍🏻 So £330 for 6 with no desert is truly appalling. This is a lovely little hotel with huge potential but there are clearly a lot of issues that need addressing .

The hotel has so much potential. The rooms deserve the 3 star rating so no complaints there. Running out of hot water in the morning was a nice surprise haha. The food was the main killer (Dinner) -- the steak was genuinely horrible. Chateu briand my arse. The guinea fowl was somehow dry. The salmon was flavourless mush. Breakfast was a nice surprise in comparison, we had 0 expectations after dinner. So in fairness we enjoyed the breakfast

1. Overly priced for the value it offers - Room had cobwebs all over the curtains and ceiling and the Shower unit had mould and the tower rails wouldn't heat up. 2. Mixed experience with the Staff - One of the staff was very unprofessional and while we could see 2 vacated breakfast tables and asked if we could be seated there to which she said they are occupied, just because she did not want to clean it. She asked us to move to a different room with no view. Asked another staffed a min later and she said, yes I can clean that for you. We chose to not have our breakfast there at all. That's said, other staff were polite and kind. 3. I wanted some milk in the room for my coffee and called the reception 4 times in intervals and no response, neither a call back. That's just unacceptable. We decided to celebrate a special occasion with them and it was a mistake to stay with them. You can certainly find a better value for money elsewhere.

Only reason for 1 less star is I was served heritage tomatoes straight out of the fridge for my starter (cold tomatoes taste of nothing) and my red wine jus for the steak was microwaved. We had booked the restaurant for dinner prior to arrival, disappointed that the chateaubriand had all gone so had steak instead, which was lovely with triple cooked chips! Nice lounge for pre-dinner drinks. Breakfast delicious too! The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is because the bed was awful. Could feel all the springs and hardly slept at all! Appalling lack of customer service. We bought three tickets for the foraging walk and lunch in July (@ £65 each). Sadly, we had to attend the funeral of the child of close family friends which happened to be on the same day. We were hoping that the hotel management would show some discretion due to the tragic circumstances. One of their directors wrote to us saying that they were sorry for our loss but "their system does not allow any refunds within seven days of the event". They sold one of the three tickets and gave us £65 back. A dreadful example of Little Britain's "Computer says no" and a shameful way to prioritize money over humanity.

A mostly wonderful experience, however needs some improving on a few points. We went for vegan afternoon tea and it was fantastic. We were sat in a side rooms where the views are beautiful but there’s absolutely no ambience/music and you could just overhear others conversation and vice Versa. And, while they were able to provide a high chair, there was no nappy change area. When I inquired about a baby change area, the manager stated that there wasn’t any and when I pushed to ask if there was somewhere I could change my daughter, he suggested the ladies toilet but there was no changing station. So, am I to do it on the floor? Surely not!!? I find it absolutely ridiculous and am saddened really that this is not accommodated for. While the vegan tea was lovely, I unfortunately dong recommend bc of the baby change.

Both our girls were absolutely distraught in tears. 3 members of staff just stood there. Rather than offer a solution - we can offer sandwiches & make hot chocolate with some biscuits /mince pies /slice of cake. They did nothing & told us it needed 24hrs notice. So we left with our children in tears. They then sent me a Facebook message, saying sorry you booked the wrong thing & blocked me off their Facebook page.

Had the vegan afternoon tea here, very good tea and scones with a large selection of cakes. Sandwiches were beetroot spread with avocado with lettuce on the day, they were all the same but half on brown bread and half on white. Very generous portions. Nice quiet atmosphere overlooking Stroud.

Fantastic place. Regal without the pretence. Excellent, friendly staff in a sublime location. Food is very, very good and the room was exactly what I was after. Remote and peaceful but the facilities and bar make it feel modern still. Can't wait to come back.

We had a family get together for a special birthday, staying overnight in 3 rooms, with Afternoon Tea, dinner, breakfast and Private Dining Sunday lunch. The Hotel is really lovely and cosy, despite going through some re-decorating currently - the lounge has been recently beautifully redecorated. We made full use of the cosy lounge on arrival for Afternoon Tea and had a nice meal in the restaurant/bar later that evening. The Private Dining Room was great for a family with 2 small children and worked really well and the Sunday Lunch was delicious (if too large for most of us). A few more child-friendly options on the Sunday Lunch menu would have been nice. The rooms were generally lovely (all in the Coach House), especially the Family Room which was huge. The staff were very helpful overall and responded really well to our many requests. There were a few glitches in terms of there being no hot water in one of the double rooms on the Sunday morning so it was cold showers all round, and the breakfast service was very slow but overall we had a really great time and will definitely return.

Absolutely adorable hotel. The ambience is warm and cozy. The staff are attentive and friendly. The rooms are so gorgeous and comfy at the same time. Dog friendly- our dog was pampered during our stay. The breakfast is next level- they have the continental items out (everything is homemade and local) and they take your order for hot food. I had the English one day and the veggie the next day. I can't wait to go back!

“Outstanding steaks and top-notch service!” Had an amazing experience at The Falcon Steakhouse in Wotton-under-Edge. The steaks were absolutely outstanding—cooked to perfection, tender, and full of flavor. The beer selection complemented the meal perfectly, offering a great range of quality options. Although there was a slight error on our order, the staff handled it with such professionalism and care that it only reinforced the high standards this establishment maintains. Hats off to Kirsty & Jim for their excellent customer service and commitment to quality. I would highly recommend The Falcon Steakhouse to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. Will definitely be back!

We are so glad we bumped into the BoHo collective at one of Milton End Farms Inspiration Evenings. We booked Boho for our wedding to form part of the dessert table alongside our wedding cake and we were so not disappointed!!! They provided some absolutely delicious brownies, tiffins and rocky roads that our guests were raving about. They have a great variety of options for example salted caramel or raspberry brownies and blondies as well as biscoff tiffins and rocky roads, all of which were delicious! They were also really inclusive of dietary requirements which meant we had lots of options for people who were vegan and gluten free- our guests really appreciated this! The team at Boho were so helpful and friendly and a joy to work with. From the moment we met them, they were enthusiastic and excited to hear all about our wedding plans. They were really flexible and nothing was too much trouble for them. They also made sure to save a selection of brownie treats for both of us and put some extra aside for parents so that if we didn’t get any on the day then it wouldn’t matter as much. We were very grateful as we didn’t even get close to the dessert table! The brownies made great day after treats and we even had some left to take on honeymoon which were delicious. We are so glad we booked Boho and would highly recommend them for any wedding or party!!

Gorgeous pub, with a lovely warm welcome. Cosy bar, with great choice of local beers. Excellent outside space, with heaters too, although would be superb on a hot summer's day. They weren't serving food on the night we went. I'd highly recommend parking up the top, as the road to the car park is extremely narrow and steep.
