Turkuaz in Doncaster

First visit to Turkuaz and it won't be the last. Delicious grilled meats, attentive service and good value for money for the large portions you get, can't fault it although drinks a little expensive but you expect that in restaurants. A lovely evening, thankyou.

I booked turquaz restaurant for my wifes 40th birthday, Unfortunately due to my mistake I booked the table for 12 instead of 17 people!! I can't stress enough how attentive and accommodating the staff were here, They very quickly and calmly rectified my mistake so we could all make my wifes birthday meal a happy one!!! Honestly this is a restaurant with awesome food and perfect staff!! Thankyou turquaz

first visit here but found the music was so loud my wife and i couldnt have a conversation. the food was ok but pricey for the portion size. dont think we will return as its not for us.

Another Caesar salad accompanied by tzatziki and Turkish bread. A generous plateful that tasted absolutely outstanding and served with a glass of tea. A good price too.

Had the most amazing night and first class meal at this restaurant. Absolutely the best meal we have had in years. The staff are first class and the owner ensures that all guests are very well cared for . All food is freshly prepared when ordered and bread and mixed dishes are served while your food is prepared. This restaurant is an Absolutely excellent place to eat. Excellent value and service. Just go and see for yourself and can assure you that you will not be disappointed.

Absolutely fabulous meal. We have been a few time and never been disappointed. It was extremely busy but had no complaints about having to wait. The food was absolutely delicious and well presented. The cocktails were really nice as well. Will definitely be back.

Stopped on for a spot of lunch with my wife, we both had a glass of Turkish tea and a caesar salad. The salad had a generous amount of chicken in it and lashings of caesar sauce. Very nice indeed.

we had chicken shish kebab and lamb shish kebab from the main menu, some dolma sarma and we were treated to a number of very delicious sides and meze. I must say that all the types of food, we tried, looked and tasted delicious. we had heard that from friends and we experienced exactly same. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was absolutely to the taste. The restaurant was very busy at the time but the management was very professional and high standards. Most importantly the price was very very reasonable. A very nice experience alround.

Visiting my daughter who lives in Doncaster and we decided to treat ourselves to a takeaway. We spent over £100 and quite frankly, what we received was appalling value for money. They charge the same for a takeaway as they do to eat in the restaurant?? For starters we ordered Tzatsiki, Hummus and Ezme[?) - essentially 3 dips and we were charged over £18 for no more than 6 tablespoons of food! The mixed kebab had 3 small pieces of chicken and 3 small pieces of lamb. I could go on. Suffice to say that despite complaining about the quality and quantity we got nowhere. If we had ordered a Chinese meal, or an Indian from other local takeaways I know we would have got much better food for much less money. The owners need to visit Turkish restaurants in Wakefield to see how to provide quality food and service.

We were very lucky to get a table at Turkuaz on a Saturday night as we didn't book! The decor and feel of the place was great and the food was really amazing. We had great cocktails too. All the staff were friendly, especially Mustafa who was the icing on the cake for us. Definitelt recommend!

We had chosen this restaurant because it had a reasonably priced lunch menu on the website. We asked for the lunch menu but were told they didn't do one. The food was okay but we did spend more than we had planned.

We had the misfortune of choosing this restaurant whilst staying in Doncaster this evening This was a dreadful mistake! From the moment we walked in the young waiter could not have been more disinterested, as was the older man who was also front of house. Indeed, he was preoccupied with a table of 3 ladies, one of which had a birthday. We ordered a starter (lahmacun) which came out fairly promptly and was very tasty. We then had an extraordinary amount of time to wait for our mains. During this time, having drained our drinks, we asked for the cocktail menu. The young waiter rummaged around to find one and a “strawberry and cream daiquiri” was chosen. There was a 15 minute wait for the cocktail, during which time the young waiter could be observed Googling a recipe on his phone. He appeared to be slumped over the bar reading and trying to follow a recipe! Eventually what arrived had a head of spray cream and dried cranberries on the top. There wasn’t a hint of alcohol of any description. To be fair, he did offer to make another one but we were by this stage still awaiting our mains (and famished!) and mentioned this to him. The main arrived shortly after he prompted the kitchen. There was an array of grilled meats and no sauces offered whatsoever. We had to ask for these. The cubed chicken and wings had a hint of flavour, whilst the kofte tasted of stale meat, and everything else, including the giant bulgur, was flavourless. This was, frankly, one of the worst Turkish meals we have ever had anywhere. Ordering from a local kebab house may have been an infinitely better choice. We will never visit this place again, especially as there are other offerings in Doncaster. We left feeling robbed. I cannot believe this is acceptable on ANY level.

We have just got home from having Dinner. We were bought a Groupon as a Christmas Present from family as we visit Turkey at least once a year. My wife and I went for a meal here with her parents and our 3 year old daughter. We tried 4 of the meze starters, which were all delicious and good portions.We had a mixture of the lamb and chicken skewers for the main course, which again were all of very good quality. They had a very tasty marinade and the meat was very juicy and tender. It was all served with a good variety of sides that accompanied the meat perfectly. They provided a child’s menu for our daughter and accommodated our request for her main to come with our starters.The staff were very friendly and attentive and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. As a Turkish, this solves the only problem being in Nha Trang - Home Food - Sahin Usta and His Son offers variety of Turkish and Local dishes. Clean and delicious and great price. Recommended

The food here is certainly delicious and couldn’t fault it, however some of our orders were wrong despite having to pre order due to us being a large party. We were also crammed in with barely any room to move, and the waiters were very slow bringing out our bill at the end and had to be asked several times even though the restaurant was near enough empty at this point. Maybe our experience would have been better if we had dined on a quieter night.

Went with two friends for a meal tonight. Very good, varied menu. We had the special set meal for two, but added an additional main meal. So for £32 you get 3 starters and 2 main meals. We shared the starters of houmous and baked bread, halloumi and calamari. But we got some free extras including olives and tzatziki. The food was so tasty. We'd all been here several times before, and the reason we always come back is the excellent food and brilliant customer service. I have no photos because it was so nice, we snaffled it all before we thought to take photos. We will be back again!

Probably been here half a dozen times. Always great food and friendly staff. Hot and cold meze to start everytime! Minced lamb Adana kebab or the mixed kebab plate get my vote for the best things on the menu. Well worth a trip for some decent fresh food.

Visited late evening on a Saturday without booking. Given a table upstairs ......... slightly disappointed but probably can't complain as we did not book a table.

Stayed in the area to go to the races and tried Turkuaz after reading the reviews on trip advisor. Six of us ate, service was good, food was quick to arrive too. The starters were delicious, 4 thought the main course was lovely too but 2 of us were a little disappointed, I had lamb shank unfortunately it hadn’t been cooked slow and long enough as it still had a layer of fat around the outer and some running through the meat, was a shame as this spoiled the dish. Would try again if in the area but opt for a different dish as the majority of us really enjoyed it.

every effort is made to make you feel welcome and the food is great, small, cosy and brilliant, we have had more than 3 Christmas party's here and this is always the place our staff remember, the only thing stopping us coming back is the 6pm and the 9pm

Pleasant atmosphere (to begin with, and this was early eve), food good and service good. Restaurant wasn’t busy on our visit. All going well until they turned the music up almost full volume half way through the main course so that the ‘belly dancer’ could come out. Really wasn’t appropriate noise level and could have been more considerate. It actually ruined the visit. I like entertainment but the noise was too extreme. Sorry, but this let you down on this visit. You don’t need to do this to try and encourage business, it’s actually made us not want to return.

Just in town for night and found Turkuaz. Had the lamb liver starter and mixed grill. A glad of house white was good. Bread and three meze dips were free. Ample quantities and had to leave some... That is unusual for me!

What an experience! The food was great and the service was first class. We were treated to some traditional belly dancing and a few customers joined in, as you can imagine the atmosphere was great and everyone was having a great time. The prices are very reasonable and we had no difficulty parking near by.

I used to visit all the time, having moved out of town I hadn’t visited for some years however when I started to return the staff recognised me and they were so welcoming I started to make the trip across town for takeouts. We are always made to feel very welcome, the service is above and beyond and we love having a chat with Ken and Ali. The Iskender is to die for, soo tasty. Tried others and they just do not live up to the Turkuaz standard.

This was my first visit to Turkuaz, my friends and I wanted to go somewhere different to normal. The food was absolutely amazing and there was a wide variety of choice. The prices were all reasonable too. All the staff gave great customer service and nothing seemed like too much to ask. I would definitely be happy to return in the future.

Not our first time here but we keep.coning back for a reason. Great charcoal grilled food and friendly service every time. Hot and cold meze starter followed by the mixed kebab main would be my suggestion.

A large group of us went last night for a friends 50th. We had the room upstairs to ourselves. From start to finish it was fantastic. The food and drinks were amazing and the belly dancer got us all up dancing. Thanks to the lady who served drinks and sorted music for us, nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend

My wife and I love Turkish food, but we weren't fans of this place.

Called in on a Wednesday night, there were a few tables in and the welcome was warm and friendly, so I accepted a bottle of Efes and scanned the menu.

We were looking for somewhere to eat and we could smell the amazing smell coming from Turkuaz so decided to try it . I’m so glad we did , what an amazing place the food was out this world !! And the added entertainment of the talented belly dancer !!! This is our new favourite place to eat !!!! I can’t fault anything here . The staff were amazing and so were the prices !!
