Turkish Kebab in Wycombe

I was welcome by two polite young gentleman and placed my order, but what I wanted wasn't what I got, I ordered a chicken donner wrap and got given just a box of neat with chips and salad not sure if the man misunderstood me, but not exactly the best first experience from this restaurant and I've heard a lot of good things about it, the food was good but like I said I expected a wrap for the price of £10

These people fly tipped their empty cooking-oil containers in Amersham, but unfortunately they didn't realise that they had left a big stack of their own menus with the containers. Clever boys. They are now called Uncle Sami. Reported to the police.

Went to collect a deliveroo and got threatened by a member of staff for not coming to the right collection point,he actually tried to threaten to smash my face and was abuse infront of customers, absolutely disgusting behaviour. This place used to be okay under previous owners but now the staff dont care.I think the guy with the braces should find another job and go see a dentist. I will be refusing orders from here and be complaining too deliveroo regarding this matter !!

I end up going down south on deliveries most weeks and one thing I've noticed down south towards London and the M25 is that there is an abundance of Turkish kebab shops, so I always try to visit one when I'm close to one as I'm a sucker for some good quality Turkish doner. This time Turkish Kebab in High Wycombe was the closest joint to my delivery in Prestwood Buckinghamshire. When I usually have a doner kebab I have it with pitta bread, which I was disappointed to see that Turkish Kebab do not offer, it's either chips, rice or Turkish flat bread which is served with the doner. I opted for lamb doner and chips with separate sauce and salad for £9 and £10 including a can of pop which is the most I've ever paid for meat and chips. All I can say is that every part of the meal was just exploding with flavour and quality, you could taste that the meat was high quality along with good quality fries, crisp fresh salad and the best Turkish chilli sauce I have ever tried. Worth every bit of the £10 it cost me with a drink!

Food is great, absolutely loved it. Great rang of quality turkish food. The portion sizes could be bigger though!

In Greece we have Gyros and these are like back home. Best ones I tried in High Wycombe. I recommend if going for a quick and tasty bite

Often get a take away from here. One of only 2 restaurants in town that serve a decent authentic kebab. The only negative is that there's often little mistakes, for example this week I was asked if I wanted chilli sauce on my kebab, I said yes but when I got home there was no sauce on kebab. Would recommend.

Absolutely delicious meal we had here tonight. The £20 meal for 2 was so much food, it was not like your usual kebab shops - it was freshly cooked and extremely tasty. The service was great and would definitely go back.

Very disappointed with the food and the quantity. Next time put pictures of each of the food up. Then we know what we are buying.

Food is authentic Turkish, cooked over hot charcoals. You have to try the lamb ribs. Genuinely nice food run by genuinely nice and humble people. I go there every week without fail.

I go there regularly with my family and love the food and kebabs,especially the traditional Turkish kebabs. The good thing is they prepare kebabs by themselves in the kitchen and not buying from the providers outside. So they are always fresh and tasty.

Polite and good service, the meat is excellent really high quality I travel from oxford to eat here..

Had doner and chicken kebab. Portions was average. Found the sauces weren’t adequate and tasty as expected.

Tempted by the Turkish set dinner for two people - it was huge! All very nicely cooked over a real charcoal grill and it tasted delicious. Sadly was just more than we could manage between us but they helpfully provided us with a box to take the rest home. Bit disappointed they couldn't serve us a Turkish tea because they were under-staffed? But despite this minor point, the food was very nice and I would like to come again next time we are in the area.

I had the best rice pudding ever tonight. Well done. I would be really happy if you would make more desserts in the future :)

Good Turkish food I would recommend. The shish and adana kebab is always highly recommended. Juicy and great tasting. I have been here a few times now and will go back. Only downside is that it maybe on the tad expensive and the seating area could be a little more accommodating.

I been there with my boyfriend after work late summer night , and we buys 2 larg chicken kebab and take it with us home, and home find the portion was so small , and really dry , everything was like 3 days old ,so i was really disapointed ,25£ - and hungry and tired to go there..... Guys i know something about food industry and food , im chef and know how much that portion was worth , not even 3 quid, thanksssssss

Visited restaurant with a couple work colleagues for lunch, ordered a falafel wrap meal expecting the falafel to be freshly cooked considering it only takes two minutes to fry up but unfortunately I was served cold falafel that had obviously come out of a packet, the chips that came with the meal were adequate but were served on a tiny paper plate so I had to be careful not to spill them all over the the table. The salad in the wrap seemed fresh and the staff and the restaurant were friendly and clean but overall it was a bland experience.

SHOCKING SERVICE!!!After phoning our order in at 8pm, I was told about 20 minutes for collection.Upon arriving, I waited another 10 minutes before someone asked if I being served.After taking my order and waiting 10 minutes, I was asked to take a seat at it may take while.After sitting for another 10 minutes, I got up and enquired about my order, (preceded by an irate father and two hungry children who had clearly been waiting much longer than advised)First Iwas offered someone else order, then I was asked again what I ordered, again I explained.After waiting for nearly an hour all in, I was told the doner had run out, the rice had run out and would I like three shish.I've been before and it was superb, but on a payday weekend (which is their time to shine) there simply not prepared for the onslaught.Best advice, sit-in don't take away, as you'll simply never get it.

Took my wife this time after trying their wrap as take away before which was fab.This time sat down in restaurant and food served was just as great. Owner served us, it was no fuss, no pretence to be posh, just excellent freshly grilled meat and freshly prepared salad. Bread and dip before order comes through was also fab, as dip was made on site, so I am told. Will be back again with children and friends.

For the best traditional kebabs you’ve got to try this place. Sammy the owner creates perfect meals, no elephant foot being served up here! Highly recommended.

Really great food in a relatively tranquil setting on a street corner. The taste was so good I had to come back again. I also enjoyed the large panoramic photos on the walls of the natural beauty of the Turkish landscape, particularly as an archaeologist

Lovely family run restaurant. Kebabs are cooked to perfection and served with huge amounts of rice/wrap.Portions are very filling.Friendly and attentive staff.Can definitely recommend for an affordable and good quality meal.

Good addition in High Wycombe eating sector. Delicious Turkish food is served with smile. Here you can taste the Kebab, not just chillies.

we went here tonight for a change as we were looking for a decent kebab shop in wycombe and hallelujah we have found it , it was delicious, top class and super tasty , home made donor kebab, the lamb shish was spot on and not chewy , chicken fab and the home made chilli sauce was the icing on the cake , so if your looking for a kebab look no further try it you wont be dissapointed trust me , a bit more money than your standard kebab house but worth it

Had a fabulous takeaway this evening. I ordered Halep special kebab which was excellent, my husband has since returned and found it is run by an ex chef of his. Will definitely return and become regulars.

Had 2 lunchtime takeaways, both mixed Kebab, Lamb and Chicken. It was perfect, great ingredients, authentic cooking techniques, great flavours and really charming staff.

We came out to eat here tonight with friends. Great food as usual. We've had the takeaways as well as eating in previously too. The food is excellent and proper Turkish. We've holidayed in Turkey so have had genuine Turkish food. The waiters are lovely and friendly especially when I use the Turkish phrases I still remember. Am a happy returning customer.

Stubbled across this new Restaurant while house hunting. Authentic & reasonably priced. Awesome food. Delicious!

Took the family to Wycombe for lunch, promised them a KFC if I couldn't find a Turkish or Lebanese in a quick drive round, got lucky ! Food was great, made fresh, so took a little time, which was fine. Starter was kisir, brilliant, mint tea, followed by a great chicken dish. Staff were very friendly. I knocked off a point as I thought it was slightly expensive, which makes me feel slightly mean as we will definitely go back.

It was the best kebab We had for a long time , tastes fresh and aromatic , chilli sauce is so so so nice , finally not the bottled one you usually get but home made . Very friendly staff , would recommend

Excellent service and food. Had the chicken shish that came with a lovely salad and rice, very filling. Soft drinks only until they get their licence. Will definitely return.

I have called in twice to ask for a takeaway menu. The first time was something like 3 months ago. I was told "sorry we're awaiting their arrival", fair enough they hadn't been open long. Then about a month ago I went in again, SAME answer. I just rang them (not wasting shoe leather) to be told basically the same thing. I asked if they had an agenda nline menu to look at, as I could not find one. What was I told? It's not gone live yet. Ffs, this is 2017 they should have all this in place for day one. I told the guy I spoke to, to change his printers and sort out an online website with menu. Obviously they don't want customers, or are they a front for something.

Most Turkish eateries I visit tend to serve high quality dishes. I have to say that this place was the exception. The food was very expensive and average ti boot.

Excellent food and really friendly staff. Had a delicious meze starter & all the fresh food in the counter looked beautifully prepared. Will definitely go again.

I am very lucky to live down the road from there. I came here first time. It was very busy and packed place. I ordered lamb with rice. All freshly cooked. The food was top-notch excellent food. I be coming back soon.

Met by rudeness then when waiting in car for food we watched disgusted as a man in a chef jacket with no shirt on underneath sweaty as anything wiped his face with his hands then went back and chopped salad. Watching him prepare food and not wash his hands made me convince my husband to drive off even though we had paid what we thought was an extortionate amount for a kebab. Sorry but I couldn't help but say something my husband is the only wage earner and I can't afford for him to get ill.

We had a quick meal for 3 on Saturday - lamb particularly good,but everyone as happy, attentive service and a great price - we'll be back.

We got a takeout from here. The food was freshly prepared the chicken and lamb were perfectly cooked. The rice was also cooked perfectly but bland for me. It all came with a generous portion of salad.

Lamb kebab was great first time, but service need speed and bit of focus. Second time today was shocking...poor service and cheap lamb doner instead of great meat like last time. Place need deep cleaning and training how to deal with customers. R.

I've visited a lot of Turkish restaurants and this on has quite a bit to learn. They have spent quite a lot of time doing the restaurant up unlike the previous owners and I would've thought they would have taken some time to think about service on the menu. I had high hopes for this restaurant given the investment but was disappointed when I visited on day two of their opening week. Service was ok but they didn't have enough staff working there and the menu wasn't fully ready and the food was very basic. On a launch week they really should have thought about how other Turkish restaurants serve. That aside I think the menu is overpriced for what you get and you don't get free bread, humous or olives at the start like many other places give. The mixed I ordered which was meant to be for 4 was sufficient for my 3 young kids (10 yrs old and younger) so was not that big for 4 adults and for £36 was way overpriced. The kebab roll is just full of onions and salad and may have had some aroma of meat added it to but no actual meat. I really think they need to step back and rethink the dish sizes and recipe if they want to succeed

They have a bit to learn yet about customer service - they are very friendly and polite here, but seem to lack a bit of experience with detail - we were happy to cut them some slack because they seem genuinely keen to please. Much of the menu wasn't available (grill items only on the hot menu), I don't know why. We had hummus to start and a lamb donner and a chicken kebab for mains, both of which came with salad and rice. Portions were enormous and well-cooked - next time I'll order the hummus at the same time. The restaurant is not licensed; I very much hope they will consider allowing customers to bring their own wine/beer in future as this would be the icing on the cake for me and would certainly encourage customers through the door - particularly if the management don't charge corkage. A Lebanese restaurant we love in Kensington (Alounak) allow this so it certainly can work. We'll be back, but no so often if we can't have a glass of wine... we'll be regulars if we can!
