Turkish Delight in Ipswich

Decided to try something new with hubby and baby, absolutely amazing food, succulent meat and fresh crispy fries and the perfect rice, my favourite thing was the salad! Fresh, crunchy and flavoursome! This is an honest review, we usually go for Caribbean food so you know the flavour was TT for us to give everything 5 stars, thankyou for being so welcoming and providing us with amazing food! I wish this business success and expansion!

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC... the best kebab I've ever had... currently eating it and if I could give it 1000000 stars I would.. ALWAYS GO HERE.... working in area and so glad I found this place

Really awesome food and good service. The restaurant is quite small and can get quite crowded as the tables are close to each other but the food makes up for this. The platters are definitely worth the money and good sized portions.

The restaurant's capacity to dine in is just 4-6 tables, so only if you are lucky to catch a table to dine. The food is great, I can say the best till now what I saw in Ipswich and the staff very friendly.

This is the best Turkish food I have ever eaten absolutely delicious trust me I had been recommended this by others but didn't try it but when I was invited to a bday there and omg I will not eat anywhere else now sooo tasty beautiful the food is top top drawer honestly the best ever thank me later.

We buy the T.D special which seems pricey at £45 but it is enough food to four adults easily. The food is very good 👍 quality. We have bought this many times when friends have dropped in to save having to cook lol. Definitely value for money. Would recommend 👌

Found this hidden gem by accident but blew us away! Friendly service, fresh, tender, moist and flavorful. Generous portion sizes and a reasonable price. The best around by far!

Visited on a Monday evening and it was very busy with friends and families eating which was a great sign. Owner was very friendly. When I got back to the hotel with my order the food was delicious. Really good job I no longer live locally! Would definitely use again.

I have ordered Lamb Chops and they are tooooo good, juicy, very tasty which I never had earlier. Couple of things to update from my further visits after above feedback, below are same 1. I ordered SK Special where lamb shish was part of it but they didn't give me and when asked they told that it's over and so replaced it with chicken. Very bad. 2. I asked for Sea bass fish and they gave Sea beam and the taste was worst.

Visited on 2nd December 2021 Served by very nice guy! Charged me £26.50 for meal for 3 Today (15 the December 2021) served by different chap and a lady who wanted to charge me more for the same and then making fun of me in front of her colleagues! Then ranted something in their language and then informs me they will do the same (rolling her eyes at her colleagues and laughing ) Wont be coming here again

The food was excellent and delicious. The chef was so polite and friendly and they were very helpful, generous and the price was fair.

I was recommended to try Turkish Delight whilst having a trim at my preferred turkish barbers. I have to say WOW the food and portion size is second to none for the amount charged. I shared an EK special with my wife and the meat was cooked to perfection along with the best salad ever. Well done guys that was Spot On I will definitely recommend and be back again 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

We walked to Norwich Road for lunch,, encouraged by earlier reviews. A perfectly cooked sea bass and a wonderful lamb kebab pleased us. We resolved to return before long

First discovered this traditional style cafe a couple of months ago and has become a must to visit at least once a week. My wife and I love the food and the friendly personal service. Nothing is too much trouble and even if you wanted to go off menu they will bend over backwards to accommodate you. They deserve every success and I am sure will go on to become the number 1 in Ipswich for casual dining. Please try it if you haven’t been already and you won’t be disappointed.

I had a delicious lunch with a friend today. The salmon was beautifully cooked -the best salmon I have ever tasted! The salad was so fresh and delcious and the best Turkish bread ever. It beats any other Turkish in Ipswich or London and reminds me of traditional Turkish food eaten in Turkey or Northern Cyprus and almost as cheap! Only £10 for a large, succulent meal with Turkish tea! I can't wait to go back and will recommend to everyone!

Without doubt the best kebab this side of Turkey. We're incredibly lucky to have this gem in Ipswich, always fresh and delicious, the best salad anywhere.

Had lunch there today - 10 mins walk from home. Great food, service and welcome. Will definitely be back.

Eddy cooks everything fresh and perfect , it’s worth a trip you won’t be disappointed , I have one a week , it’s too damn tasty too miss and the price is so cheap for the amount of food you get

We have now had three meals from Turkish Delight hence the review. Every meal we’ve had has been delicious. My husband and friends have a selection of meats all of which was cooked and seasoned well. I don’t eat meat so have the veggie options which were all delicious. I would highly recommend not only for taste but for value for money too.

Went there on a Sunday lunchtime having been to the burger restaurant which it used to be a few years back. As we were the only people in the restaurant I would have expected much better service. They seemed more interested in getting the takeaway orders ready for delivery. VERY slow service and one of the starters arrived with mains. Would hate to see what service was like if it was busy. Fortunately the food was pretty tasty and portion size good so all was not lost. Prices were reasonable but service really let it down.

Superb quality and value Turkish food, spotlessly clean, everything freshly cooked, feel privileged to have this place in Ipswich.

We had takeout and the food was lovely. Great selection and generous with the salad. I would recommend the wings. But not the calamari for takeout, otherwise we all really enjoyed a lovely meal.

Been here a few times and haven't found a fault yet. The meats are so juicy and have the perfect bite! Even the Baklava was crisp and moist, which was a pleasant surprise!

Fancied Turkish tonight so opted for the Turkish Delight. Ordered online and collected a little later.

This doesn't look up to much from the outside with just half a dozen tables and a counter, but the fact that Turkish Delight nearly always has people sitting at the tables (while some nearby eateries are empty) suggests there's something that keeps the punters coming.

Was recommended this restaurant and after trying it out now recommend to others. Very friendly staff and the food was lovely. Great value for money. It was very busy which is normally a good sign. You do have to go up and order rather than someone comes to your table.

Finally tried this with 3 friends, wanting take out not knowing where to start the lovely staff offered us a mix of meats and sides etc. Very well packed and made sharing easy. The price was very reasonable too. Stuffed and delicious especially the additional sauces they sell.

This place is just amazing. It serves the best Turkish food in Ipswich hands down. I strongly recommend their fresh bread with hummus and mixed kebab with salad. It's authentic and healthy. The ambience is good and you're always given a warm friendly smile by the owner.

We go here with my family nearly every week the mix grill is perfect and its lots but they do lots of other nice food to the owner is the chef nice person and waitress is attentive with smile face its a nice little eatery i do recommend to everyone thank you.

Good honest home made Turkish food made with love. Will definitely be returning at earliest opportunity.

Turkish Delight was recommended by someone who should know, who had lived in the Middle East, and likes his food! A party of around 15 of us virtually took over the place for a meal together.
