Lots of seating and a nice atmosphere, the rear was very dim so we sat in the front area. Good service and food with lots of menu choices. Realised CASH ONLY and had to find a service till before the food arrived so be warned.

Read this to find out how tuck in treats customers. Me and my 7 friends buy tickets for tuck in restaurant on new years, we paid £250 for these tickets all together and it clearly said that the reservation is from 8PM - 3AM on the tickets, we get in at 9PM, and they say they cannot let us in because there is no spaces in the non - smoking area, they finally let us into the smoking area and after about an hour, they take a table from us, making us squeeze together uncomfortably on three tables, the food was good, but the service is horrific. After we eat a worker come up to us and asks us to leave when we clearly had tickets until 3AM, this was very disrespectful of them and I will never go back there and give them my money.

Food is excellent drink are too and shisha is the best in Northampton and the staff are amazing and friendly music very good and this is best place to go with family friends or if u a student good for party at weekend or a Friday if I could give this place a 10 star I would worth going as I go there ever week now and I'm very happy I been to all the shisha place in the area and no one dose it like tuckin do

Absolutely fantastic, So it's CASH ONLY!!! The host was a delightful guy nothing was to much! Cheery bubbly light hearted! The food was fantastic far to much as we are full to the brim but took a box home! Reasonable price The cocktails are delicious 😋 Definitely recommend 👍🏻

Took long time to be served our complimentary food, thereafter took over 45 mins to be served our food 2 dishes came and third dish took another 10 mins and we where missing side dish.. the third dish was cold, the overall portion size and presentation was not usual standard… the restaurant wasn’t even that busy at the time… we have been here many times before… we will not be returning

Great food and service the staff are very attentive and helpful the food was fantastic and very generous portions. The restaurant is clean and well maintained. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity presented. Will definitely be returning to sample more dishes from the extensive menu.

Awful. Went as part of a birthday celebration. Rude staff, condescending attitudes. If you weren't a local or from a similar background then they treat you with contempt. Payment option was interesting too. You must pay cash. They didn't tell us of this. They won't even let you do a bank transfer - has to be cash we were told. And no receipt. Even when we asked for one. I'm assuming because they feel that maybe taking cash is tax free? Awful experience. Awful establishment and if this review stops one person from ruining their night out then this review has been worth you reading it.

I love this place. The shishah lounge, music and food are great vibes for which this restaurant stands above all the others in Northampton. It is the best place to celebrate special moments. They prepare best quality and tasty food. Trust me, I mean the best place to chill out with family/friends. One of my favourite desserts is Kunefe. They make the yummy and fresh Kunefe in Northampton.

Second visit and well worth the 30 minute drive. The food was great, the service brilliant, staff cleaned tables down between courses and balloons were a lovely touch for Valentine’s Day. A busy night for them and they performed beyond expectations! We will definitely be back ♥️

When we entered we was greeted by a friendly man,we asked for a table for 2 we was then taken to a waitress and she was told to take us to table 5, with thats she said you go we hadn't got a clue whete the table was,but she said carry on we found it. We was given menues ,another waitress came to take order I asked if the fish was boned or had bones she said no it don't have bones,ok I ordered that it came with salad and new potatoes. She then said Do you want chips or rice to which I asked for the new potatoes it came with,The meals finally arrived OMG not only did my fish have the whole body bone through it it was butterflied and had the head cut in half too with the teeth showing.I ate what I could every mouthful had a bone in.We then asked a waitress for a dessert menu after 10 mins she still hadn't gave us one and started serving others. We asked the friendly man and withing seconds got the menu ,When the bill came we noticed a payment of 3,50 was added for extras we asked the nice guy what this was he asked a waitress thar replied ask the other waitress he then came back and said it was new potatoes, but that was a part of the boney fish dish already we said ,he removed the extra payment and could not apologise enough .Needless to say we won't be returning.

We had heard positive feedback about the food at 'Tuck In' and was excited to visit the restaurant. First impressions were good and we ordered our food. A cold meze came out and we had ordered the hot meze, as it was a warm day we said it was fine as we weren't too fussed, it was tasty. Our mains came out, my husbands was wrong, sent it back and by the time it came back out 15 minutes later, mine was cold and there was no apology, no offer to get me a fresh meal. There were only 4/5 other tables occupied and we sat waiting for a long period of time trying to gain the attention of staff so we could say that our experience wasn't turning out to be good! I tried to gain the attention of the managers, however they were more interested in welcoming their associates, shaking hands and generally playing showmen than actually responding to customers waiting. Eventually my husband spoke to the waitress and she came back with the bill, it had been adjusted by £7 on a £74 bill. We thought they would have at least taken one of the meals (£17) off but by this point we just wanted to get out of there. We then waited 15 mins to pay, no one came over. My husband then approached one of the managers and tried to get his attention. The manager then had the cheek to tell my husband he was rude for interrupting him as he was talking to someone else. My husband politely told him that in fact he was very rude and knew we had complained and were waiting to pay and yet let us sit there feeling awkward and that in order for him to continue with his other customers he would need to take the payment now. The manager then continued to make snide remarks and openly snapped at the waitress for not doing her job, all completely unprofessional. Overall, tasty food, poor service and a side of toxic masculinity... no thank you!

This is an amazing place with amazing food. Turkish , Romanian , Mediterranean.. the foods amazing. The prices are amazing. I am not sure people get out much if they think this place is expensive. The platters are delicious and great quality. Chicken wings , chicken cubes, lamb , lamb ribs. The service we received from Sarah recently was as good as we have when we go to London. Sarah you’re amazing, friendly , professional the evening was even better been served by you. The weather was warm and the windows were open which transported us out of Northampton and made us feel like we were out of the town for the meal. Lots of options for vegetarians, meat eaters or those who want to try something different. Cocktails are lovely and great value in comparisons to some of the cocktails bars in the town. It’s nice to go out for a Turkish and not feel like your in a cafe or canteen. This is an actual restaurant and one of my favourites. We will keep coming back and recommending to people. Only issues…. start letting us pay by card. It’s 2022 and taking cash out is annoying. We paid by card for our booking but then said cash only. Change this and it’s 10/10

We had a fantastic meal at this beautiful Turkish / Mediterranean restaurant. Delicious selection of food along with great cocktails and sisha garden to finish the night off in this beautifully decorated venue. Staff were friendly but professional at the same time. Prices were reasonable. We will definitely return. Strongly recommend this places

Went into the restaurant, was shown to a table which seemed to be in a very smoky position. I thought smoking inside to be illegal now. I was told it was Shisha but it smelled very much like cigarettes to me. Then I was told the restaurant accepts cash only. Why would that be?? Tax evasion undoubtedly. I decided to leave and will not return. Time cash only businesses were made illegal.

We went to this restaurant with friends but unfortunately had to leave within five minutes, as the smoke from the smoking room at the back, which is attached to the main restaurant with only one door separating it, caused my wife to have an asthma attack.The staff moved us to a different table, but considering this was only a few steps away from the original table we were seated at, it made absolutely no difference. I thought smoking was banned in public places in the UK?!?!?!Couldn't return to this restaurant even if we wanted to, while they allow smoking to infiltrate the main restaurant area. Not happy!

I’m sorry but as an asthma sufferer, I feel compelled to share my experience.I visited this restaurant with my husband and 3 friends last Friday. I hadn’t been there before but had seen the restaurant and was greatly looking forward to eating there.The restaurant looked inviting and vibrant and the reviews were good.Now comes the ‘BUT’!Within in minutes, I could smell cigarette smoke. As an asthma sufferer, I panicked a little. I voiced my concerns to my friends, who agreed they could also smell smoke. I looked around and could see adjoining the restaurant at the rear of the premises, a room that looked like a conservatory, where people appeared to be smoking. I can only assume this was cigarette smoke as well as Shisha pipes because of the effect it was quickly having on me. I haven’t had the same adverse reaction to Shisha pipes.There appeared to be only 1 door separating the ‘smoking room’ from the main restaurant. There was a string of people coming out of the room which was allowing the smoke into the restaurant.Let me explain by giving you some background, to help you understand the severity of this situation.*********************************One of my main asthma triggers is cigarette smoke. The effects are, that I quickly begin coughing, I get a ‘tight’ feeling across my throat and chest and becoming very wheezy. I cough so much that I can’t breath, which is very scary even after I remove myself from the situation. The effects can continue to make me unwell for many hours. *********************************My husband and friends told the staff, who quickly went to shut the door as it had been left open. They got me a glass of water and moved our table slightly further away which unfortunately was no help because we were still within breathing space of the smoke. I must say the staff were lovely and tried to help as much as they could, but unfortunately I had to leave, as I was rapidly feeling quite unwell.I thanked the staff for their help. It was not my wish to leave the restaurant in this way and I definitely didn’t want to inconvenience my husband and friends, but could not possibly stay. Smokers often think that non-smokers show an overreaction to the effects of smoke, but some of those non-smokers have severe lung conditions which can be life-threatening. Having said this, I urge the management of ‘Tuck In’ to review their policy on this matter.I would suggest possibly adding a second door between the smoking room and the restaurant to act as an extra barrier. I would love to dine there but unless this changes, sadly, that is not possible.

i was recommend by a friend to have a breakfast here , Service was ok , food fine then we came to pay the bill.I gave the cashier more than the bill and expected to receive change, only to be told they had no change so she gave me back less than i was due. i complained and the waitress just looked at me , didn't offer to give me more money , so i was expected just to accept the situation.As a cash only restaurant this is not acceptable and i would now not go back or recommend it . If they are doing this to every customer they are making a nice profit on the side.

I came to Tuck in with my friends for the first time because I wanted to have a good time for my birthday. Our waiter, Inan, made sure that everything was perfect. He paid attention to each detail and he made me fall in love with this place. Also, the food was delicious and the drinks looked nice and they were so good. I will definitely be back next time. I came to tuck in for dinner and shisha with my wife because I was recommended by a friend in northampton. When I got here I was greated by my waiter Melania, she served me all evening making sure everything was perfect. Food was amazing and her service was spot on. Would be coming back and recommending to all my friends!

This was our first visit to the tuck in. We was passing a decided to pop in for breakfast. We had the traditional breakfast which comprised of an egg, sausage, bacon beans and chips and toast. All for just £3.99 you can swap items for others if wanted or add extra items for a small charge. We also had latte coffees which was lovely best I’ve had in a long time. The food came served on an oblong plate and was not swimming in grease like some cafes. Everything was hot and very tasty. The restaurant was very tastefully decorated with lovely Turkish glass lamps and was spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful despite some customers speaking to them very rudely. I would definitely return and recommend anyone trying the breakfast. I will also return to try out the main evening meals. Just a note they only take cash payments for breakfast not sure if this is also the case any other time.

Pre-booked as a large party of 13, arrived on time to find table was set for 10! Poor couple next to us had to move, mid meal!! Eventually all settled in and ordered drinks and had to wait ages for them. Food was overpriced and disappointing. Also, needs air conditioning!! Too many staff and not enough attention to customers.

The most difficult thing was choosing from some wonderful sounding dishes. The service was friendly and efficient and there was also a live singer on who was very good.

Disappointed from the moment we walked in- waitress was very rude; wouldn’t let us sit where we wanted to even though there was space and it was around 8.45pm in the evening - unlikely to have many bookings after this time ! Ordered our stuff and she said it’s cash only- I said that’s ridiculous , considering how busy you are why would you not have a card machine?? Clearly some dodgy tax evasion business going on there !!!I then said I haven’t got any cash , so please cancel the order- she wasn’t happy and proceeded to be very rude in her tone “you want me to cancel it now I’ve already ordered it...what do you want me to do?”Really? It’s pouring down with rain love, I’m not going to walk 5 minutes to get to a cash machine just so you don’t have to cancel the order !!!Seriously- learn some manners and customer service. Won’t be coming here again!!!!!

Taking advantage of the kids being away with the grandparents, the good lady and I made a late decision to eat out atTuck In. We arrived at around 7:15 to a near empty restaurant but put that down to it being a Monday. Over the next three and a half hours we had a fantastic night. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. The staff are so nice.. we went in the garden to smoke a shisha and drink some Turkish tea when the manager came over and spoke to us for ages about all manner of things but mainly kids! We both just loved it and will be back ASAP!

I was nervous about going to Tuck In because I've never gone to a Turkish restaurant before and I wasn't sure what to order. I thought I was going to be late so had a look at the online menu and asked my friends to order me some falafel, because it was the one Turkish dish I had heard of and knew I liked. Thankfully I arrived in good time to look through the menu and order something else and it was delicious!!!! First came some Turkish bread which was honestly the best bread ever - warm flat breads that had a nice tapenade or were delicious plain. Then we had the sharing plates of beans, halloumi, veggies, Small pieces of spiced meat. These were wonderful and I did actually feel full already. But... it was all so good, so i then ordered the chicken shish with salad. It was totally divine and there was loads of it too. I asked the waiter if I could have a box to take the rest of it home for my daughter. A little while later she came back with the box and inside was a brand new kebab and a fresh bed of salad for my daughter to enjoy. My daughter loved it, and I thought that was just so kind. I would definitely go back and it was absolutely delicious. Five stars Tuck In.

Have eaten here twice in a week! The food is delicious! Every thing freshly cooked! Service is a little disjointed, however this didn't effect our evenings. Will definitely be a regular! It’s cash only too!

Very average food with some strange not Turkish dishes on the menu (and my partner used to live in Turkey for several years), staff are miserable, draught lager was warm and flat so ordered a 2nd alternative draught lager which was also warm and flat, did complain to the moody waitress, but no offer of a complimentary drink or reduction in the bill. First and definitely last visit here there are better Turkish restaurants in Northampton.

Used to go to this place before it got done up and it was a very good place with nice tasty cheap breakfast I still go here for my Shisha cocktails and a nice breakfast to! Very helpful and kind waitress and waiters! Awesome the weekend and the belly dancer is fabulous definitely recommend this place! Kid friendly and you’ll have so much fun.

Management " have done an amazing job with the refurbishment and the chef's and waitresses are so helpful and friendly " l think you really should give the new tuck inn a visit " if you on the way to Northampton " you won't be disappointed " its situated on the wellingborough road " Northampton. My husband ( on his birthday) nearly swallowed an inch long shard of plastic that was in our joint starter.The main meals, two were tasty but cold and one was suppose to be chicken but parts of it tasted of lamb.The waitress couldn't speak very good English and the starter my husband requested did not appear.By then we had given up, we paid the bill and left and will not be returning.Such a shame as have been to Turkey numerous times and always love the food, however this was not the case at this restaurant.All I can say is thank goodness my husband never swallowed the sharp piece of plastic or that a child never had this in their meal!!

We visited on a busy Friday night but the service was so good we could have been the only ones in there. From our lovely and patient waitress to the owner who would pop over to check on everything I couldn't fault anything. Our food was delicious. Beautifully presented and tasty. Not bad but the food is somewhat bland and overpriced, you can smoke in the back room but I found this off putting. The service was slow and the staff moody. There were large groups of men who were obviously friends of the owners sitting there and staring particularly at the women, not good, I felt intimidated at times.

Went there with family for lunch, they bought the wrong order to start with so I've finished my meal while my mrs she still had to wait for her, unexperienced staff some of the meat I ordered was under cooked. I wouldn't go back there again.

This is a great place to go from 8 in the morning for a breakfast and a cuppa which will certainly fill you up for the day ahead .Exceptionally, good value. I think the reason people don't just come in at night is the wine glasses on he tables. Ordinary people.....such as we are, maybe put off thinking it is ….not for them. The thing is ...you can go to this restaurant at night and have as little or as much as you wish. Don't let the wine glasses on he tables....make you feel as if it is beyond your budget. You can just go for a casual drink with or without food. It is a place that you can have exactly what you like. Try it during the day as everyone can afford a breakfast here, Do try it in the evening as it is great food and not too expensive. Don't let those wine glasses put you off. I visit frequently daytime for a cuppa with friends and occasionally in the evening to meet up with friends.

Firstly, the breakfast menu is really weird, with something standard missing off each breakfast option.The music was very loud, I had to ask the waitress to repeat herself often.Onto breakfast, really cheap sausages, they were horrid, the rest of the breakfast ( bacon/eggs/beans/hash brown) was very nice - although one of my husband's eggs was undercooked and still raw/snotty. Length of wait.. it took roughly 45mins from point of order to recieving our food.Had they of been busy this would have been understandable, but it wasn't, with 4 at most occupied tables. Husband had to send his drink back, as he asked for no ice, and this took a further 10mins for them to rectify.TDLR: decent enough food, disgustingly slow service. The food wasn't worth the wait imo.

This place is utter chaos.1. Belly dancer whilst you are eating your meal. The music for which was so loud during our meal that even shouting at each other to have a conversation wasn’t working. Asked politely for it to be turned down and was told “its what we do, she be finished in a few mins”. TOLD them to turn it down as it was deafening and they reluctantly did it.2. Service was awful. The waitresses really don't care and when i spoke to the manager about it, he said if he hired good staff, he’d have to pay them more. Which is a great response to give a customer who has spent over £120 (for 4) eating there.3. At around 9 o'clock the bar kicks off and if busy, its a nightmare for people trying to eat in the restaurant.4. They only take cash payments. Go to Marmaris instead, food, service, atmosphere all 100% better.

Food is absolutely lovely however the service was useless. Waitress was not attentive at all and felt a bit abandoned. Needs work but otherwise okay.

A few years ago I was in Istanbul and enjoyed delicious fare with attentive service. Not so here. Service was formal - as if the waiting staff were doing me a favour; food was good, but not excellent - I had the lamb pieces with yoghurt, the lamb was tough, the yoghurt sickly.

My husband and I have visited this restaurant quite a few times in the past, although only for breakfast. The breakfast was always really good.We popped in last night for a meal and boy what a meal! It was fabulous. We ordered starters then had mains with a bottle of wine. They gave us complimentary breads with crushed olives which were lovely too. The restaurant soon filled up and was really busy.I would definitely recommend this place both for quality and value for money.The staff are so friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble.We will tell all our friends to give Tuck In a go and we will be back soon. Lovely comfortable surroundings with great food!

Pre booked a table weeks in advance for a friends get together and went in to pay a deposit just days before however there was no record of our booking. This was resolved and our booking was eventually confirmed and deposit paid . Upon arrival they again had no record of our reservations so we were randomly placed in the ‘ not outside ‘ seating area where vapes were being smoked and cold air was coming through the shutters . After complaining we were then Coincidentally placed back inside to a table that was exactly out party number of seats and had a reserved sign . Drinks were extremely slow and we had to continuously remind the waitresses that we were still waiting . When the bill came the manager insisted he kept back some of our deposit because 2 of our guests had not attended despite the issues we’d experienced upon our arrival.It turns out that our booking was inputted on their system for the follow weekend. Food was amazing but the overall experience wasn’t an enjoyment . Cash only which isn’t mentioned when making a reservation unless u happen to pre look at the menu online .

Pleasant & clean surroundings,interior a touch classier then a lot of places.Staff was fairly friendly & kept inquiring if all was to our satisfaction which is nice.Food tasted good,so overall a pleasant experience.But when the time came to pay the bill,we were negatively surprised that cash was the only option of payment.Isn't this rather an outdated practice in todays modern world?

What more can I say? Staff were a bit slow and got drinks mixed up but sorted it out soon enough. Cash only venue with the option to smoke a shisha pipe out the back. Atmosphere was awesome!

Never will i dine in this place again, what a rip off, il stick to Efes my usual place where you can eat quality at a good price Beware of there prices people !

This place will be top on tripadvisor soon. It’s like the Popular Turkish Mediterranean places without the smokey interior , leaving you with smokey clothes and hair . It is an actual restaurant with good attentive service . The owner was present and happy to offer suggestions on wine and food. We were given bread and tapenade which were fresh and lovely . The calamari was amazing as was my main course of lamb. I asked for changes to the main as I didn’t want rice or chips and they weee happy to accommodate. My friend is veegetarian and had plenty to choose from. This is my new place and have recommended it to lots of people . Go and see for yourself.

Meeting place was suggested for breakfast. Ordered vegetarian specifically stated my requests....still received bacon on the plate....and not really even a genuine apology.
