Lovely place for a drink on the weekend if you live in the area! The owner is amazing and interacts with guests. Customer Services is high.

Plush surroundings, can forget about the locality once you step inside and absord yourself in the ambience if the place. Friendly staff. Only drawback is that the stools can be a bit high. Cocktail was well made and flavoursome.

Good vibes we always have a nice time here, the only thing that prevents me giving five stars is the bar staff are super slow, holding up customers, long wait for drinks and it's quite a squeeze once it starts to fill up.

Went to this bar for a 30th birthday, lovely staff and decent priced drinks. However the place is stinky (it’s like they need to sort out their drainage system) I refused to use the toilets as I was scared I would dislike being there even more. I held onto my wee and went home.

Lovely bar. Good atmosphere 👌 3 rooms up stairs downstairs and main room. Good wine bar for any party events. The Barstaff are friendly, and The drinks are a good price.

This is one of the most sophisticated ensue in its area which suits all stylish over 21’s who’s looking for a place to have good time They do amazing cocktails and reasonably priced. I would recommend this venue if you’re having a celebration of any kind.

Wasn't impressed.. Over priced cocktails, 1 member of staff was the bar staff! For a Friday night, it was empty until i entered with my friend and it was like that until i left..Overall..Boring and no vibes, no enticing to stay, so i had 1 drink & left..

This place has a brilliant Caribbean vibe. The staff are friendly and fast when serving with a vast variety of drinks. It’s a must go!!!

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! I and a group of my girlfriends (9 of us) stopped by this place before we had to go to a 70s and 80s party. We were the only ones there considering it was a Friday night!! I have never been to this place and NEVER WILL. We had cocktails which were priced at £8.50 which were put in small wine glasses instead of your normal cocktail glasses bear in mind it didn't matter what cocktail you got they were still using small wine glasses. My friend brought 2 large wines Rose' and white wine which both came to £18.00 I then brought the same drinks and was charged £23.80 but didn't realised this until the next day. I called Trude Restaurant and explain I think I was overpriced for the wines I brought Owner then said nope that is correct glass of wine is £11.90 each!!!! Whaaat 'I said, are you telling me the wines are more expensive than the cocktails? I told her my friend was charged £13.80 for the same wines I ordered she told me the person who served her was a trainee and charged the wrong price!!! Really??? bearing in mind this trainee was on her own in the bar. I said that is OUTRAGEOUS how are you justifying charging these different prices! All she kept saying these are the prices we charged and that the supposedly Trainee charge my friend the wrong price. Not once was I offered some of my money back or am sorry just a 'don't care attitude! I am all for supporting Black business, This is one business I will not be supporting, absolutely, OUTRAGEOUS MADE UP PRICES!!! Shame on you TRUDE BAR!! The reason I have given this 1 star is it will not allow me to post this review.

Me and my mates came from the football and went straight in here. Place wasnt too busy but the staff were great. Reasonably priced drinks for London and they were lovely

Great night for the birthday bash

Relatively new bar in the heart of South Norwood, lovely decor, clearly finding their feet, took 10/15 minutes to make a small cocktail, which would have been awful if they were busy. I'm sure this is something they can work on! Staff were friendly, drink prices a tad high, but ambiance of the place good. Would definitely recommend.

My husband and I went for Cocktails and stayed for the clubbing. We loved it so much that we've decided to celebrate his birthday there layer in the year. Reasonably priced drinks, helpful and friendly staff. Loved it and will go again!

This place is amazing we literally went in here for one drink and ended leaving 4 rounds deep the vibe is amazing the waiter/ waitress that we had were amazing we stayed off their hospitality they are amazing would highly recommend going here, plan to go back very soon

Trude’s is now my go-to place! The vibe is chilled and fun, the cocktails are amazing, the staff are skilled and professional and the decor is stylish! I have experienced different events from birthday celebrations to regular nights out, the live band was awesome and the resident DJ knows how to read the crowd. I highly recommend this venue 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Beautiful Venue, Excellent service. This is a great location for somewhere local yet classy without having to travel to the City...styling is both beautiful and original creating a lovely, welcoming atmosphere as soon as you enter.. Despite the fact that the Bar was completely full, the noise level was perfect, buzzy without being deafening. The Cocktails were fun, creative, interesting, tasty. The Staff were friendly, helpful, Would highly recommend for a fun evening out.

Stopped here for dome cocktails the staff were very polite and friendly but it was very quiet, it needs to build a clientele but it has potential with a bar and dancefloor

Ahh, man. What can I say. This place is lovely. I was treated with love and respect. I was made a special Old Fashion by Tristin, he liaised with me to ensure it was to my taste and altered the recipe. It's really nice to go somewhere and be able to talk to your barman (mixologist) about what you really want. The ambiance was great and vibes great. I'll be back for sure. Respeck people

Visited Trude for my sister birthday drinks, lovelyyyy yummy cocktails and great service. Assistant manager Cess is absolutely amazing! I found the other manager rude but Cess was so helpful and friendly. Good service is important to me, I would come back again based on her service alone! Thanks a lot Cess

I have been to this bar a few times and every experience has been one of class and I will definitely be back. The staff are very courteous and professional. The food and drink is superb too. I highly recommend it.

Clean well decorated and furnished establishment. Friendly staff welcoming and courteous, refreshing cocktails went on an extremely hot evening and thankfully the well ventilated room and cocktails served their purpose. Fantastic 80s and 90s music would definitely be up for a party night there.

Attended a 50th birthday party. Nice set up and look. Staff were helpful and friendly. DJ was heavy on soul and RnB, but generally ok. Major let down was price of drinks. Only used bar downstairs where event held. Bought a coke and diet coke which cost £6.40! If they can sort out their pricing for drinks this could be a 5 star venue.

Terrible lay out, toilets are cramped and unclean. However the worst thing is the overpriced drinks. £4.50 for a bottle of water At the bar down stairs? Upstairs it was charged at £3.00?? What kind of business practise is this. Last night was the first and last time I'll be attending this place.

Celebrated my 26th birthday with my friend here and it was such an amazing experience from start to finish! The team catered to our every need, allowed us to decorate and use their facilities for our canapés. I let the bar know during our planning stages that I would be having a wide range of guests attending - family and friends of different ages / backgrounds / cultures etc and the music played kept everyone happy in both the upstairs and downstairs rooms! We will definitely be back! Thank you guys ❤️

Hosted my daughter and her friend's 26th Birthday at Trude's. What a wonderful experience! It was a very last minute decision to host a party and the attention to detail from the manager Ahmes with ensuring our wishes were fulfilled was phenomenal, from the planning stage to the implementation of the various surprises on the night. The music catered to the wide range of ages on the night. The very tasteful decor certainly contributed to an environment which was warm and welcoming. I cannot thank the staff enough for ensuring the girls birthday celebration was an enjoyable and memorable one.

Talk about Ambience, vybz and decor of a place you talk about Trudes Restaurant &Bar. My first experience there was Super amazing the bar tenders are just on point with mixing drinks etc. Security is 100 check point and safe. The music is good a good mixture for all. There are also live jazz music on certain days so all the jazz lovers be there. I start my new year off right there. I love all the lovely ppl there. Looking forward for the next event.

I wanted to hate the place, but frankly I didn't. The staff were very friendly, and while you can't really go in here for a pint, the cocktails were well made, with a certain panache. Bit perturbed by the whole facial recognition thing, which is a bit off, and I didn't experience the "club" or "restaurant", but other than that, I dunno, I may go back when particularly pickled?

I hosted a 50th birthday party and th service from arranging was fantastic. I would like to thank the manager Ahmes who was very helpful from beginning to the end. When I was first trying to find a venue it was difficult finding somewhere suitable and in south London. When I was told about Trude and went to view I was happy with the venue and the decor, and when I was given the doorstsirs club area, it was the perfect place. My event was a success and I would recommend this place if your looking to hold an event. The staff are friendly, professional. Well done.

Very friendly staff, nicely furnished and decorated place but far too expensive, especially considering the area it's in. I just came in to try this new place out and found I'd have to pay (unreasonably) £9 for a Beefeater gin plus £1.50 for a tonic. When I protested I was told that the gin is a double and I could take a single instead so I went for that. How much you think that cost, £4.50? £5? £6? Well, £7, plus the £1.50 for the tonic. No wonder there were more staff than customers on a Friday night. Also to get in I had to go through an airport style security check with my ID possibly copied and retained on some fancy terminal and a camera scanning my face. Presumably that should make me feel safe but it doesn't, it feels like a bit of an intrusion into my privacy. I probably should have left when they asked for that and saved myself the ridiculous expense.

I like the atmosphere of Trude. Compact and intimate. The decor is modern and security arrangements make people feel safe. The drinks are good and the music fantastic. It's a good place to spend an evening and very much worth the visit.
