D's Island Grill in Croydon

Unfortunately like last time parts of the order was missing. Last time it was the Coleslaw that was missing from the meals and this time it was the Tru Juice drinks that was missing. On top of this the Curry Goat was cold but the rice a peas was hot so we had to put Curry Goat in the microwave for a while. It's a shame as the food is nice they just need to make sure they deliver what has been ordered and to heat it properly before sending out.

Portion size was great, curry goat was tender however the curry flavour was lacking. I ordered a ginger beer and was given a grape soda, not pleased as I am allergic to grapes :(

Lovely curry goat with rice and peas, good portion size plenty of meat. Macaroni cheese was delicious. My only constructive criticism would be to.make it a bit more spicy but it was still very nice and I will be ordering again. Worth every penny.🤗

The oxtail and hard food was absolutely delicious. The portion size was amazing. The food arrived hot so I didn’t have to heat it up at home. You can tell that the food was also fresh. Thank you to the chef. 10 out of 10 and I would order again.

Was not overly impressed with my order, I ain’t ordered in a few months as the prices when sky high and the food curry goat had bare bones and was not flavored like before, a good portion size but lacked flavor and the rice and peas were not the best

Just been here for the first time. I brought large curry goat with rice and peas, small jerk chicken, and plain rice, two patties. The food was great. I would definitely be back for more food!

5 Stars all around. Its hard to find Caribbean food served without attitude and criminal prices, especially from Jamaicans in south London. I went in apprehensive, expecting the poor customer service you get elsewhere but no. This man is lovely. He cares for a conversation about you, not just about the food you're ordering. His prices are so good considering the amount of food you get. I got a large curried goat, rice and peas and a small jerk chicken and rice. The small wasnt small. It was such a good size. The large fed both me and my son! He is not stingy with the meat, gravy etc at all. Even the festivals tasted fresh. Can we please bare in mind i came close to closing and he had EVRYTHING i asked for in stock and quality was as if he had just made it there and then. Flavours 10/10. Cannot recommend the food and everything about this place enough. My new fav in South London by far.

Good quality food and excellent value for money

I just enjoyed an incredibly flavorful curry goat with fluffy white rice, Every bite was a burst of rich flavors that hit the spot. It was exactly what I needed after a long day to fix me straight up. The staff were friendly and created a welcoming vibe, and the atmosphere was fantastic perfectly reflecting their modern take on Caribbean cuisine. I’m definitely recommending this place for you to try! 💪

I paid £19 for a large oxtail, a festival and a can of coke. I received a small oxtail with 5 piece of meat, no salt in the rice, hardly any gravy. Never again!

Pumping music, lovely service, delicious food (jerk chicken, curry goat, rice & peas, coleslaw & pasta) - bing bong. My personal preference is for the food to be a bit spicier but totally get that spice isn't for everyone. Gonna try and make my way back there sometime!

My favourite go to when it comes to Caribbean food. I ordered brown stewed chicken w rice and peas, side salad, plantain and festival. I chose the smaller portion size yet it was quite big! And it was all very tasty! Definitely will be back for more! Thank you!

This slaps I will say the curry goat fantastic rice and peas had a little kick too mac and cheese not to too dry coleslaw nice and sweet plantain nice too the dumpling tastes good was abit big but needed a little more salt but over all I’ll defo be ordering again

Great staff. Great food. The interior has fallen from grace. The staff was pleasant and very communication to customers. The best rice and peas I have had in a long time, just a little more scotch-bonnet. The mac and cheese needed more cheese in the sauce. No ketchup in the pepper steak. Otherwise, OK. The interior needs a new makeover and not inviting. If you have a chance, drop in and give it a try.

There was a fly in the fried dumpling

The food needs to be seasoned more. The rice and peas, maccoroni, and pasta salad was lacking salt. The oxtail needed salt and more sesonings as well as natural vegetables and scotch bonnet. The food can have potential but needs to be seasoned way more or cooked in small batches. The mac and cheese tasted like I was frozen and was defrosted in a microwave. I wouldn’t get food from here again.

This is my first time ordering. I was expecting southern fried chicken, but what I received was even more delicious. The portion sizes were so good that I could not finish; my belly is long so that's saying something. Will definitely be ordering from this shop again. As some people have already said, it's one of the tastiest, if not the tastiest, Caribbean shops around.

Even tho I live in mitcham and there are a few Jamaican takeaways in the area, this for me is by far the nicest flavour food very well packaged and very flavoursome, keep up the good cooking chefs

Im not the type to really make reviews but im not gonna lie this werent it! The way how it looks is perfect but the piece of dumplin that i got was rock solid, i couldnt even put my fork through it and i also had to add my own seasoning, i dont know if it was just an off day or what but this will be last time!!

Usually does good curry goat with good portion sizes. This time chicken stew was dry and hard. Sometimes they cancel your order here out of the blue which is annoying - maybe don’t advertise said item if it’s not available?

The chicken wings were delicious, a personal favorite. The chicken soup was both tasty and filling, while the fried dumplings struck a perfect balance of softness and crispiness. Overall, a delightful experience!

Oxtail was tough, flavourless and the gravy consistency watery. Hard food and rice not even a pinch of salt! pasta salad was nice and the presentation however, overall a disappointment.

Driver went all over the place probably doing other orders then after nearly an hour turned up with my cold food. It’s a shame because the place has lovely food it’s just the justEat drivers take on too many orders.

I normally love everything about this shop my favourite go to but after just spending 8pound on 3dry ribs like really I’m so not impressed so if I had payed for large I would have gotten 6 dry ribs. For some reason today I thought let me try the ribs, big mistake as I stated their food is lovely but today I’m not impressed at all

I ordered a Curry Goat/Oxtail combo and it was amazing! The chef told me it was a “wicked mix” and he wasn’t wrong. Good portions, loads of sauce, great coleslaw. The lady who served me was lovely as well. Highly recommended

Guessing this was a slight mistake, but my grape soda was missing from my order - usually this restaurant has a perfect service and I will continue to order but hopefully I will be receiving a refund for the missing soda.

I am very very disappointed in the food and I think this will be our last time ordering from your online food shop. The rice was extremely tough, the cow foot was not in the bag. I asked the driver and he said he’s not sure and could of fell out the bag? The Pattie was very oily.

Great food and very friendly, affable service. This place is a lovely hidden gem. I have been there many times as a local and they never disappoint.

Our group of 8 were warmly welcomed by the front of house staff and kitchen staff. Service was prompt, attentive and accurate. When there were changes in choice of meals the staff were patient and responsive. Food quality is excellent and portions generous. The added touch of a cake fully lit with candles and a rousing " Happy Birthday to you..." topped off the night! We will definitely be back!

The dish was a massive success, big talking point of the evening! Everyone was complimenting the rice but I couldn't take any credit for it. Ordering, collention and payment was super easy (very reasonably priced) Thank you guys for catering my party. Will definitely be considering them for all occasions going forward.

Enjoyed every single thing, since coming london from bham it has been very hard to find a good jamaican shop as a jamican myself working around the clock. One of the BEST😇❤️ cant fault nothing at all.
