Tru Street in Trafford

We wouldn’t return here or recommend this place. We ordered jerk chicken and a brisket burger. The jerk chicken was the only nice thing. The rice it came with was flavourless and the beans non existent. The burger wasn’t fully brisket as falsely advertised, instead it was two EXTREMELY bland patties with pieces of brisket which I could tell were not fresh. The only flavour in this burger was the cheese sauce. Waste of £15 on a burger They also charge service which is compulsory but we recieved poor slow service

Please, please, please avoid this place at all costs. I usually check reviews beforehand and did the same this time, but my partner saw someone else’s food and thought it looked nice, so we gave it a try. Yes, the food looks great – but the flavour was incredibly bland. Honestly, worse than any local Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had, and this is supposed to be a proper restaurant. We couldn’t even finish half the food – the meat was chewy, the sauces were watery, and everything tasted bland and lifeless. Really disappointed. Do not eat here!

Lucky our waiter was amazing he won’t above and beyond and kept my daughter entertained and very chatty and relatable. Lucky made us enjoy our meal at Tru Street and made us want to come back when shopping at Trafford. My daughter said “Yh we are coming back”

Food and services is excellent but £10 additional charges to use their table and chairs- very disappointed

Never eaten here before and i regret that because it is definitely the most delicious food I’ve had in a long time the salt and pepper chicken was perfectly cooked ! We enjoyed our food so much and the staff are lovely , our server even warned us about spice levels of certain foods first which was very helpful! 🫶🏼 definitely recommend the prices are excellent aswell !!

Half an hour later I had very bad stomach ache. Never again! Avoid this place!

Miguel gave us the best service that we could ask for, the food lived up to all expectations and I will definitely be recommending Tru Street to all of my friends.

We had such a great time at Tru Street! The food was delicious, but what really stood out was our server, Miguel. He was super friendly, gave awesome recommendations, and just made the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable. You can tell he really cares about what he does. We left full, happy, and already planning to come back—definitely asking for Miguel next time!

Never again. The food was not nice at all Tasteless and overpriced. We will not return here. Our local takeaway does better food. You would expect better quality at a restaurant.

The worst food I have ever had in UK, Chinese chicken soup is absolutely terrible, another menu chicken with rice (can’t remember the name exactly) it’s also super terrible. We felt like chickens are not fresh. And the prices are expensive as well. Really shouldn’t eat and choose this restaurant. Never ever imagine that this restaurant would be that bad. Sorry, but it’s the truth.

Absolutely, disgusting food. It is obviously pre-cooked but may have been pre- cooked several times as the meat was so chewy thought I was going to blow bubbles at one point. Four of us went and three of us ordered the trio of dishes all different. And we left virtual all nine bowls virtually full. Not value for money and definitely will not be going again.

Tried hawkers ft Beef Chili, Malaysian Chicken, and Orange Chicken. Highlight was beef chili - packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. We liked Malaysian chicken with a lovely depth of taste. However, orange chicken was a bit too sour for our palate and did not quite match the balance of the rest. Overall, the restaurant was nice - warm and attentive. Big shoutout to the staff member who served us. Don't recall her name but she was definitely South Asian (Ind/Pak). Kudos to her for being so polite and welcoming.

Was offering testers outside and it was so good we decided to eat in, was delicious never been before but will definitely be coming back.

I had a fantastic experience here, a big part of it was thanks to Tasleema💐 From the moment I walked in, she greeted me with a genuinely warm and welcoming attitude. She got my order just right, and checked in to see if everything was to my satisfaction. People like her truly make a difference. I’ll definitely be coming back—and recommending this place to others—because of the great service I received and the quality of the food Thank you, Tasleema!

Overall, the food was good, but they added a mandatory fee, like a service charge but called it a cover charge to get around the law, at the end, which I was not made aware of and could not remove. Also, this is common in America due to underpaid labour, so they may need to investigate the workers and management. I hope they change their ways, as they truly serve great food.

The food looked good From the outside of the restaurant so we decided to try it it was £18 for the 3 bowls which me and my boyfriend both got The food came out so quick and was awful it had no flavour the rice was just spice and didn’t look like the picture in the menu the salt and pepper chicken was greasy and the noodles were bland I told the waitress I wasn’t happy with it and she offered 10% off the bill so I still ended up paying £50 for food we didn’t eat The music was also way too loud

This was an impromptu stop to have some lunch and we were very pleased with the food and service! We had the hawkers which let you choose 3 smaller plates and it was really worth its price! We would totally go back again!

Lovely restaurant. Ordered Jerk Chicken. 4 stars coz it didnt taste like jerk. Lacked the smoky sweetness of Jerk. However I still ejoyed it. It was spicy succulent and overall a very good meal. All the staff are friendly and the service is excellent!

Amazong Food. The Salt and Pepper Curly Fries are out of this world. Staff are also incredible and super helpful, even came out to bring us something we forgot. Service was super quick too. Would definitely recommend.

Came to tru Street for the first time and ordered 2 parisan steak and fries (medium rare) and a brooklyn burger. The steak was nice but the burger was a lot nicer. The chicken was nice and thick and full of flavour. Will have to come again

Avoid at all costs, no idea how they're still open. Servers looked like they wanted to unalive themselves. Birria taco had no flavour, 9th street burger tasted of only 5 spice, the burgers was tough as a boot and the bbq beef was gelatinous. Scammed out of £50 for food I wouldn't even give to a dog.

Great place for food in the Trafford centre. Had 3 small hawkers and the crispy chicken special. Food is spicy but had the option with the chicken to have the sauces on the side to dip into. Food was served quickly and freshly cooked. Waiters attentive and polite. Second visit and won’t be our last.

I didnt have a good meal here unfortunately. There was hardly any space and we were seated right next to the kitchen and the toilet. The food is extremely salty, strange flavours, some of it definitely frozen and I'm pretty sure full of MSG. It took a while for us to be served and I find it overpriced for the quality, it is more like food court quality than a restaurant

I'd rate this a 0 star if I could. We asked at the reception if it would be OK for my wife to have a childrens meal as dietary restrictions have been placed due to a surgery, this was refused by the manager. When questioned his reply was "just take the rest home and have it later". I'm not about to reheat mediocre food. Any decent eatery has met her requirements until now. I will not be back and will definitely be recommending that others don't either. Your staff are rude and extremely unhelpful. The only one that gave half a shit was the chef and he was rude too. Oh and clean your bathrooms too they are disgusting. Especially the mirror outside of the mens toilet.

I got the three dishes including salt and pepper chicken, crispy beef, and hoisin duck noodles and they were all very flavourful and decent portion size. However, the salt and pepper chicken was cold and also soggy. My sister got the mafia burger and all the meat was cold, it was completely soggy with nothing holding it together, and the slow cooked brisket was chewy and all in all disgusting. Tried to catch the attention of the staff many times, but was ignored and neglected the whole time. When we were eventually acknowledged at the end of our meal, the staff were ignorant and dismissive, walking off after we asked for the bill and ignoring us at our table. Overall, not a good experience, wouldn't reccomend

A great place to dine, the 3 plate meal was great for 2at a lunch time and I was surprised as to how tasty the Vegetable plate was - too place !

They now charge cover charge rather than service charge trying to be smart, especially the Chinese guy who brought me the bill didn’t present himself with a smile and just showed a face when I asked to remove the service charge which he didn’t do, on top of that the food was salty I’m mean seriously salty, is this a way to get customer to buy more drinks because it works, the worst restaurant in the Trafford centre AVOID!!!
