Absolutely disgraceful service. We were told it was a 20 minute wait for the food. Ended up being over an hour - with no offer of a refund. To add to this, the food was certainly not worth the wait - bang average. Would not recommend.

I don't get the hype. Spicy chicken burger was 90% bland sauce making it inedible without a soup spoon or a bib. A single sad sliced jalapeno was the height of flavour, and even it had tried to escape in the torrent of indeterminate sauce. Ordered milkshakes which showed up after we asked a second time and by then we had finished our food. And unless my chocolate milkshake was made with milky bars or the ghost of chocolate, I will assume they accidentally gave me a vanilla one. All this and they have those payment systems where I got to choose to add a tip beforehand for this level of quality.

Half way between fast food and restaurant. Same is true for price: bargain if its a restaurant in your head-cannon; more expensive than McDonald's. Tasty burgers. Great deal. Offered lemonade. Presumed it would sprite etc. Nope. REAL LEMONADE! Unexpected win.

Got the lunchtime meal. The pork loaded fries were really nice, plenty of meat. Unfortunately the double cheese burger had no taste and was completely bland. The meat had a really weird texture to it. Really disappointed considering this is a burger joint yet the burger let it down.

Ok, so I like a burger!!! We stumbled on this gaff on Thursday night and the wife said “let’s just try here”!! I’m gonna be short and sweet here!! I loved it! I had a great burger….up there with a good five guys easily! And I had some loaded garlic fries which was to die for! The wife had a chicken burger which she also enjoyed (7/10…her words) but I really enjoyed it!! I wanted to go z a gain this evening but we went a posh(ish) Italian across the road….which was pants! 10/10 for me! Bit expensive for a burger but quality talks! Would I go here again? Hell yeah!!! I’ll go now!

I must say this might top bunsen in terms of taste, the place has a nice view of Botanic Ave. Burger was a solid 9.8, staff were sound as well which is always a plus, I got the bacon cheese burger student deal which was only 8.99. Keep it up folks.

Wow, wow, wow. Right let me start with the negative: it’s bloody hard to pick something off the menu. Like literally I was stood for like 5 solid minutes in complete indecision, there’s sooo much incredible looking stuff. I wanted the wings but it looks like they come in a massive portion and I already had more than enough. In the end I ordered the bacon and cheese burger and the spice bag fries (way too much for one, but I really couldn’t pick). Served was prompt and very friendly. We took a seat and the food was all brought out surprisingly fast. The burger was good and plenty of sauce for those that like it saucy. Overall - a good burger! The real star here was the loaded fries though, wow, amazing. The curry sauce was just like what you’d get from a Chinese and there was just the right amount of chilli’s, spring onions etc on top. Bursting with flavour and the perfect amount of spice. Not a Belfast native but can’t wait to get back and try something else 😋

Went here on New Year’s Day, so maybe it was a bad day to go, but the food was bland and it fell apart. The buffalo sauce tasted awful and the onion Bhaji burger was soggy, not crunchy like an onion bhaji should be.

Had a very nice bhaji burger, staff lovely. It was quite busy and the servers were under pressure to get tables cleaned and ready, but jolly cheerful all told. Decent value for money caters mostly to a student crowd but is round the corner from a good independent cinema.

Burgers are delicious. Reasonable price. Service is quick and pleasant. Cafe like atmosphere a bit basic but you cant fault the food or the chips in pepper sauce. Excellent.

Food was good asked to buy another drink at 21.01 to be told we are closed even though we are sitting in side eating the food we just got from them left thinking won't be back no care for customers they have sitting in there store. But had to get a to go box so we can get more drinks to wash the food down was very disappointed with the service

I loooooove Tribal Burger. When I lived here I stopped by here all the time. The milkshakes are amazing, and the chips are great and I love the Cashel Blue burger. I was so happy to see it's still going! :)

TRY IT ON YOUR OWN RISK!!! Walking around Belfast about to faint from hunger, this colorful sign on the side walk welcomed me in. Overwhelmed with the amazing items on the menu, just ended with this double Cheese burger and Tribal fries...what a choice it was... It thrashed my hunger with amazing bites of fresh patties and one of the most delicious fries I have ever tried... Well done team... Very Recommended!!

My 2nd time here, there won't be a 3rd. I had the 5 bean Chilli burger and Garlic Chilli Parmesan skinny fries. I've had the 5 bean Chilli burger before, it was disappointing last time and worse this time. First of all, where is the chilli? There is no spiciness/heat to it at all. It's more like salsa. On both occasions it was cold, just plonked on the burger. On this occasion, not the first, someone put a load of sweet corn in the 5 bean Chilli. I have no idea why anyone would put sweet corn in 5 bean chilli, I hate sweet corn, so ended up scraping all the filling out of the burger. I went 2 stars because the burger meat itself was decent and cooked well. The skinny fries, where's the garlic? Where's the chilli? They were dry and bland - no taste at all.

Just ate here, burger tasted awful, poor quality, overpriced, £17.45 for one mediocre buger, one chip and 2 cokes, not up to a great standard, will not be back, so sad to give this review.

They screwed up our very simple order, the food was mediocre and the place was packed and the tables were messy. They can't control the number of customers but the other issues were certainly on them. Given the crowd and ratings it seems like we may have just been unlucky.

Was recommended by several locals but honestly left feeling disappointed. The burger was below average - patty overcooked. Chips way too salty and overcooked as well. The Buffalo wings were excellent, however. Service could be faster.

I recently visited tribal burger with my family after reading good reviews about their gluten free options. I asked about the options when I got to the till to order and was assured they had separate fryers for the chips + chicken. I ordered a beef burger with bacon + chips, when my meal arrived it had 'GF' hand written on it and the lady stated it was gluten free but my bap looked exactly like everyone else's (they aren't gf). I'm extremely fussy so I removed the fat of the bacon in the burger and was hesitant to eat it as the bap was the same so I took it to the till and asked the manager was it definitely gf, he told me it was not he'll get it sorted. He brought me a new burger down in minutes, I opened it up and it was the same patty + bacon from the one before! No awareness of cross contamination! Covered in crumbs my partner then took it back up where the chef said 'it's a whole new burger'. I know it wasn't, it was cold and had the same bacon I had dissected beforehand. To give someone gluten by mistake is bad enough but to know you done it a second time is so careless, It's very worrying and disappointing how bad their Knowledge is about gluten and how serious it can be if ingested, this is not a choice but a health + dietary requirement and people like me would rather you didn't offer the gluten free option if you can't do it right and safely. The manager was not rude but really just didn't care when we were tying to explain how serious it was what his staff had done, I was an inconvenience.

Ordered a pulled pork burger. It's very juicy, very messy, and tasted really good.

Not what I had expected from tribal, haven’t ordered from them in a couple of years but the quality was not as I remember.. burger very dry, stale bap, sides insanely salty and slightly inedible chicken on the fries, really tough and chewy. Price point is extremely high which I’d be willing to pay for quality food…. Don’t think it met the mark at all. Felt like a burger from a burger. Came very quickly though. Won’t order again, absolutely extortionate for the quality.

Waited 1.5 hours on my food delivery - food was warm as thankfully restaurant waited on driver before cooking but delivery time a disgrace

It's small fairly nice place for takeout place .. nice dine in tables. Very lovely burgers .. try them out if u are stayn in Belfast for a while.

Terrible experience with this place, food was due to be delivered 18:40-19:00 it is now 20:20 I’ve rang three times to speak to some rude staff to say it is on its way and “out of their hands” and still no order received

Never disappoints, the burgers are great! My favourite is the cheese and bacon burger. Also love the Tribal Chips along with it, definitely a full meal with both of them!

Revised review. I ordered a large buffalo wings, and from previous visits was looking forward to them. Unfortunately the quality has dipped considerably. Terrible wings and smaller size portions.

Just eaten in Tribal Botanic ... Pleasant enough greeting , Till service average girl didn't know the menu.... Staff swearing and mouthing off in full range of till and tables .... Food arrived after a small wait ... Luke warm wings, reheated pepper chips and trust me I'm 30 years in the trade these were 100% reheated , 2nd time here and last £14 for something you could make in the house for a third of the price without the bad language and dull atmosphere No thanks

Yesterday (10th June 2024) my partner and I ordered food from tribal burger and the Just Eat driver never brought our food. We recorded the food and decided to go down ourselves. We then got a phone call (I think the girl was called Niamh but I could be completely wrong) who asked if we meant to reorder the food. We explained the situation to her and she was so helpful and friendly, when we arrived she offered us milkshakes to make up for it which I declined as it wasn’t her fault. All together, the staff, especially the girl on the phone, were very helpful and kind and the food they made was delicious

Delicious flame-broiled burgers at very reasonable prices. The choco milkshake is my favorite.

Just got takeaway from Tribal Burgers in Botanic and the food was really delicious. Shared Buffalo wings with my husband and I've never tasted nicer. My Mexican burger was just right. The meat patties were scrumptious and the Mexican garnishes were spot on. My husband really enjoyed his bacon and blue cheese burger. This was my first time ordering from here, it won't be the last.

I really did not expect such a large lunch here for the price. I had the spicy chicken burger and the chunky chips( which were closer to wedges or roast potatoes). This is well worth visiting for lunch for 10.50. It’s like a better 5 guys.

I'd seen tribal recommended by quite a few people as a great burger place. Maybe I went on an off day but I was not impressed with the burger. You can see in the picture it's very, very well done. Not a hint of pink and not as much moisture as I'd like. The meat was very over seasoned, particularly on the outside which was very salty. This is always a bit worrying as it's often used to hide poor quality meat. In all honesty this was very close to an old school pub burger. The bun was nothing special. Everything else was good, the chips were really nice, staff were friendly, restaurant was clean and you can sit in the window and watch the world go by. Like I said maybe it was an off day but one of the most important aspects of a good burger restaurant is consistency. Off days happen and I've had slightly over cooked burgers from some of my favourites, but even then the quality of the ingredients shines through. Alas, not so in this case.

Food in here is banging tbf but every single employee is American. Do I needa say anything else? They’re all next level cringe 😬 In future I will be using Just-eat to deliver it the food to me so I don’t have to encounter those yanks 🤣

Two adults and two teens for a casual meal out. Between us we had the Dirty Bird, Cheeseburger and BBQ pulled pork burger and a combination of skinny fries and sweet potato fries. We all really enjoyed the food. The restaurant is rough and ready but clean and efficient and staff are friendly and helpful. Just what we needed.

The blue cheese burger is too salty. Big dips for only 1.50. Chips are a good side to have.

We get takeaway here all the time, the burgers are good but the skinny fries and wings are even better. Pepper sauce lovely too. I do find it a touch awkward when picking up food for takeaway being asked to give a tip. I understand if sitting in and getting table service but asking for a tip when I'm collecting food seems strange to me.

The cheeseburger was OK, nothing negative about it whatsoever but also nothing that made me want to proclaim my undying devotion to all in earshot. High tables and stools, a little cramped, but it matches the currently expected look for these places. No glass offered for the can of beer, tut tut. Plenty of choice in the area, take your pick.

Disappointed with burger it was a slightly elevated mcdonalds type burger with thin, dry pattie.

Good place for burgers and vegetarian food. Rustic and simple, but serves very tasty food. Service is efficient. Only complaint was that restaurant was very cold.

Best burger I’ve ever had! I had the Tribal Burger and Mexican/chilli loaded fries. An absolute winner! All seats were filled but our food came within 5 minutes of ordering and piping hot. Fairly priced too

The place is nice but I didn't like the food at all. I couldn't digest the pulled pork, the fries tasted bad and I didn't like the stringy cheese.

My son and I visited at 5.30pm on Sunday. This time to the Botanic Avenue and as I haven't been to Tribal in a few years and the last time was at their premises in Calendar Street. Nothing has changed, well maybe the price, nearly £30 for two classic burgers, a tribal chip, a taco chip, and two soft drinks. I need say nothing apart from if you want a delicious burger and chips go no where else. Full marks for the food however I am dropping the overall score from 5 to 4 as I think it's a bit costly.

Over an hour and 40 minutes waiting on a delivery. No contact from them to mention the food is delayed. Over an hour after it said it would be delivered so far. Still waiting with no sign of food. This is my first and last order with these guys.

Headed up on recommendation by the missus. Absolutely lovely burgers and very friendly staff, lady taking our order was very pleasant and well mannered. The food itself was gorgeous, the missus got the spicy bird and I got the wings. Great Value & some of the best chicken we've had in a long time, was worth the 30min drive!! Highly recommend

Very good burgers and chicken wings

The food was absolutely terrible.... I paid 30 pound for burnt chewy chips that were drowned in cheese sauce and 3 pieces of bacon crumbs. My partners was the exact same ..I looked around at others chips and they were all the same...so disappointing... A lot of money for a very poor and disappointing meal... I am not fussy but couldn't even eat it..

I had a gift voucher from work with £50 on it that was about to expire and Tribal Burger is something I had during the lockdown and had wanted to go over and sit in so this was the perfect opportunity to do just that, brought a friend to help me spend it,2 portions of 20 hot wings,2 tribal fries (potato wedges) and 2 Tribal Burgers,have to say I think Tribal Burgers wings are some of the best about, deep fried and crispy they were just amazing, mouth watering thinking about them,I got Buffalo which was my preference,the burger also was top quality, absolutely gorgeous and again one of the best around,and they have some competition about,must say the only very small complaint was the wedges,not really a fan, always think you should get lovely crispy fries with a burger,but again that's just myself,the staff were also fantastic, sorted a small problem with my voucher in no time, literally can't wait to go back.

For the price I was expecting a five star ✨ burger but I was disappointed!!! Burger overcooked soggy bun and generally lacking in flavour. As a chef I would advise the owners to please toast the burger buns ,cook burgers less,use crispy salad garnish and do not wrap it all up in paper!!!

Highly reviewed for a reason, this place is very good over all. Only gripe is that I think they overcook the burgers slightly, especially the chicken. They tend to be a bit dry.

Burger could taste better, not as expected as per review. However Chips was delicious
