Trebles in Lincoln

This is my second ever 1 star review, i'm usually kind and understanding of retail and customer service roles having done them myself for quite a while and specifically worked in a bar as a bar maid myself so im really disappointed that im having to write this. We came in for a drink because we'd heard it was good, the atmosphere is a bit meh, staff were unnecessarily rude to my husband as he was patiently and quietly waiting to be served, still don't understand what he did wrong other than silently stand at the main bar in what appeared to be a queue, they yelled at him to step away from the bar, he did, then someone else pushed in front and they served them instead... so we waited easily ten minutes for a vodka orange. The vodka appeared poor quality and tasteless despite the price and we noted that it didn't have that slight oily substance on the surface as it should have as it was poured which suggests it could be watered down in some way. I also bought a vape for later and it turns out it was faulty and leaky. They even took my friends birthday present off her because they suspected it contained alcohol even though it was a candle and a totally vacuum sealed plastic wrapped small bottle of perfume that you'd need sissors to get into... make it make sense? We weren't even rowdy it was our second drink of the night and we were with parents so it seems a bit overkill for early evening a Saturday. Really dissatisfied with our trip, we ended up going home before 11pm because it kinda spoiled our night.

Don’t bother with this place. They have uneducated poor quality door staff who fail to assess potential customers state of appearance. We tried to gain access and were turned down falsely alleging that our party were too intoxicated to enter. The group were in good spirits but none had had too much to drink to be able to behave in any other than a respectful manner. The moron on the door lost his business a sizeable four figure sum as we took our business elsewhere where we were welcomed. They need to train their staff to better standards and we can certainly find better venues elsewhere in the vibrant city

I got kicked out for stumbling in trebles, a place thats name suggests it's an establishment designed to get you as pissed as possible, not cool

Cor blimey, we got scammed. Another cor blimey is necassary. Card limit is a scam paid £12 for 2 ”triples”. Back in my day (aka 3 years ago) it was £3 for a triple

Such lovely staff and bouncers. Lost my bag and the manager and bouncers helped me find it. I believe they were called Ross and Pat.They were so lovely and helpful and who doesn’t love a treble vodka so definitely a place to go ☺️

Ross casamenti,he puts a torch up my mates nose and he is not on anything and is sober. He doesn’t get let in as he does not use a uv light just a torch. So unprofessional and immature of the bouncer. He said there was spots. He was a clear bully and abusive bouncer. Never again

Used to work there. Got accused of saying something that I didn’t even say. The supervisor/ management got into my face and told me I was barred from the venue. I falsely got accused of saying something I didn’t do. Unbelievable really considering I walked away. She followed me out and got into MY PERSONAL SPACE won’t be going there Again.

Been in here many weekends, great service especially from the shot girl millie, great atmosphere would definitely recommend going!!

Horrible place. Was told I was too drunk to come in with my friend because I had a hat on. Avoid this place, power hungry bouncers- far better places in Lincoln.

England are playing in a World Cup and my mate has just been kicked out for wearing an England shirt. Laughable.

Told not allowed in for having a england shirt on in the world cup despite not having a drink peior to this allowed 3 of my friends but not the others racist agenda do not visit if you are not english or after football

Cocktails are very nice, music is pretty good

First time coming, card payments are £5 and over, nice drinks, very loud inside music system could be better quality though sounded like the treble was to high not enough bass, reminded me of a school disco but with booze, will return though

Friend purchased a drink and a shot and she poured the shot into the drink, and then the bar staff took the drink off of her, as a law student I challenged it, the bar maid respectfully and she said under the Licensing Act 2003 it was lawful to take her drink away from her, so I said no. Under what section and then she called the bouncer over to move us away. She also pressured the bouncer staff to kick us out. How can someone buy a drink and pour a shot into it and then have both of them taken away from them. Poor bar staff, unlawful behaviour especially as she was not behaving drunk

loyal customer of trebles, the staff are always nice, the bouncers are usually nice and I understand that sometimes need to lay down the law. My only issue is that i have an invisible disability and to access the disabled toilets you need to contact a member of staff who are not always available. I understand this but i can't help but find it alienating and wish they had a better system for handling disabled people.

Arrogant. Cba to open on time so at 6.06pm when the door opened after knocking the door TWICE to check if they was opening was told not allowed to come in because we SMASHED the door in LOL. Exactly why people don't trust doormen anymore. Absolutely ridiculous

Security is assured and they are courteous

Always an amazing night out! Door staff are friendly and funny! All bar staff are helpful, kind and quick. Every Wednesday they now have a live DJ called Ollie Remington & he’s insane! He produces his own music as well. Brilliant atmosphere & fantastic music!

Bouncers were extremely friendly please pass on my thanks! The drinks were at a great price and tasted great. Staff were quick serving and really personable. The only reason I'm not rating 5* is because the 3rd party app they use to book is not only more expensive than standard table service orders but it was also not working correctly. Service wise 10/10 . Bouncers 10/10. Drinks 10/10. Covid App 0/10

Hi, would you be able to explain your dress code publicly to avoid anyone else unnecessarily waiting 30 minutes in a queue for an outside bench to be refused entry at the door for wearing "joggers" or shorts during a heatwave?

Only allowed to stay an hour but the good thing is don't have to book a table.

The bald manager was very rude. Thought that 'oi' was an appropriate way to address female customers. Maybe you didn't get a response because no one knew you were talking to them?? Other than him was a pretty fun karaoke sesh; would reccomend. Just note the leading staff are ever so slightly misogynistic!!

Staff are very fast and helpful during busy times. Not a venue I would normally go to but a good laugh. 9.45pm not sure how it is later in the night

It's the place to start or end your drinking sessions in Lincoln. A student favourite so usually a younger crowd but the drinks are cheap and get you drink quick.

Great little club with large outdoor smoking area. Most drinks are trebles hence the name. Very young crowd felt a little old,only 47 years young. Good atmosphere and great outdoor space.

Very busy, hard to get to be served , typical student bar with cheap drinks, as name suggests all drinks are treble shots . Large garden with lots of outside space.

Given this place a 3* only because the toilets ladies and gents were swimming in water on the floor??? Drinks were very good plenty of seating music abit poor.Was lacking armosphere but place has potential.

Its a laugh and the only place you can get a treble from really. So you are kind of stuck for if you want a treble. Not that bad priced anyway actually

Prices for drinks are really good but the decor of the place isn't something to write home about. Definitely needs a lick of paint. I would recommend though on a night out as it's a decent stop for a few cheap drinks before being robbed in the nightclubs.

The price for the drink is unreal good for what I'm used to paying, get here for predrinks every night you will not be upset, so Meany clubs around you won't know what to pick!

Understaffed when it comes to busy periods, ordered 2 drinks last night one drink had plenty of ice the other had 1 ice cube, I mean I saw it she saw it and still carried on as if all is fine. Plenty of better and more professional establishments in the area.

It's a place to get cheap alcohol and move on it's not a nice place to be unless you like your feet to stick to the floor

Trebles is a bar with a great space downstrairs for general customers and a space upstairs that can be used for private hire which is reasonably spacious though it needs seating that enables more customers to sit down whilst being able to see the raised area. The drinks were served reasonably quickly though they did need more than 2 staff members working behind the bar to accommodate approximately 100 people.

This place would fit perfectly in Salford in Manchester, if you know, you know!

Great when the karaoke is on and very busy at weekends. Good place to start your night out at. However not much different then any other generic bar that plays chart music.

Every time I've been to trebles I've had a good time. Tonight was no exception. It's a club like no other so be prepared to see randomers and uni students; I guarantee if you try to have a conversation with any of them you'll have an enjoyable time.

The only place in Lincoln offering triple shot liquors! Staff are very friendly, including the security members. Very busy bar, however, only going to show how enjoyable it is here. Lots of room inside for busier nights!

Great prices especially on a Tuesday. Could do with opening up the upstairs section of the bar more often as it’s regularly packed. Needs a good deep clean in the gents toilets though.

Cheap but poor mens toilet facilities and you will often stick to the floor of the bar area it only gets 3 star's because of the price and outdoor seating area

Enjoy it here, I have only been twice however the service was friendly and the cocktails were alright. Seating areas are good too and it has a nice atmosphere. Security is also friendly too.

Went to this bar and I have only been once others get in the Party who go yearly only people in and refused a second drink due to being to drunk really !!' On the way back to hotel to eat what a joke ! Bar staff and manager an absolute joke ! Minus score due to the people at this bar !'n AVOID
