Curry Club in Lincoln

We rang because of the time delay, but our order did eventually arrire...well most of what we ordered did. When we rang back to tell them, they told us to take it up with deliveroo - okay, but I'm still hungry! The food we did get was fairly meh, but the nans were really tough as old boots. I think it's good to try new things, but this was the first and last time for us.

Our new 'go-to' Indian takeaway in Lincoln. Lovely tandoori chicken (without food colouring), but particularly amazing jalfrezi made 'desi style' upon request (not adapted to Western tastes / extra spiced and spicy). Great service from the friendly delivery drivers.

Wouldn’t bother, absolute shambles. Every thing was cold and I’ve had better from Asda. Bajis were abysmal too and naan bread? Don’t get me started.!

The best curry in Lincoln hands down. We’ve had so many bad experiences with curries in Lincoln and we wanted to give up wasting money on bad takeaways, however this was recommended to me and it’s amazing!! Will always order from here in future, if your stuck between multiple places choose this one. We had a tikka masala and it was perfect

Won't be ordering again. Vegetable passanda looked like it had been made using the mixed frozen vegetable bags from the supermarket and sauce was bland. Rice was dry. The chicken rezala was bland and the naan bread was undercooked. Only plus was that it was delivered quickly.

So went with girlfriend to collect a lamb shashlik (comes with yogurt, salad and naan), a vegetable curry, another naan and a chicken korma. The food was actually delicious, but unfortunately the bag we brought home was missing a naan, the yogurt and salad. It was too far to go back, and it did spoil things immensely. It was a shame as the food was nice. However, it's made me not wish to revisit.

New owner and menu since Curry club took over from the previous indian restaurant called Saga. Food is great, the new owner served me and was very friendly and helpful. I've just found a new regular place !! Will definitely be going again. (Some of these reviews/ratings are old I think, from when this place was Saga.....don't let the old rating of 3.5 stars put you off its not accurate)

First time of having a curry from here. Delivery was on time and the food was hot was really great we had butter chicken, chicken Balti with onion fried rice and egg fried rice. Absolutely Superb. Thank you very much will be back soon

Sorry to say wouldn’t try here again . Rice was dry , chicken tikka masala was like water with next to no taste and they forgot the onion salad which is the part I eat the most of so my meal was a let down 😂 really disappointed I’m afraid

Just got chicken tikka from here dry and Shiah kebabs and they was dry as well could not even chew them

i got a lamb garlic bhuna and a garlic naan, both lovely and on the nicer side of places that i've been locally. only star down was because of portion size of the bhuna, would have liked a deeper plactic container would even be happy to pay more. the naan was a good size and nice and crispy

Tried Sarga for the first time this evening. This has to be one of the tastiest Indian we've had. Absolutely delicious

Just had what I can honestly say was the best chicken tikka masala I've ever eaten in 53 years on the planet. I don't normally leave review but this was really, really good. Ordered for the whole family and they all said their dishes were absolutely excellent!

Just had a takeaway from Sarga, Burton Road and it was absolutely brilliant, in fact, I could not say anything negative at all. Our waiting time was less than an hour, and on a Saturday evening, we found that impressive. Well done Sarga The price was a bit steep, but since covid, everything has gone up

First time ordering. The food it's self was OK. I've given 3 stars because the food was very sweet and sugary and our Nann breads were burnt. I'm not sure I would order again.

I will only be honest (even though this is my subjective opinion), this was not a pleasant eating experience. Being our first time of ordering from here, we opted for the set menu. How very disappointing this was! The two set main meals were essentially the exact version of each other, i.e. chicken korma but one has a red sauce the other yellow. The red was supposed to be Tandoori. Upon opening it at home, they had not put in the plain rice, the Naan was undercooked! Service was lacking politeness, passion, clean nor tidy presentation. On the presentation front, I know a takeaway does not need corporate dress but to be well presented, clean could not be too heard to muster. At one point, a big white geezer dressed as if he had just landed from a weekend festival barged in. Dressed in dirty jeans, a dirty black hoody and appearing if he was allergic to soap and water, he then proceeded into the rear kitchens. I observed him intently and not once did he wash his hands before engaging in 'work'. He then came to the counter and started to serve the food. Then a middle age chap entered and walked upstairs, the came down and loitered on the bottom of the stairs, appearing dishevelled. Looking into the rear, the kitchens did not look at all clean. The waiting area was damp, dirty and antiquated. There was definitely a sense of dissonance in this catering environment, the appearance of the place, the presentation of staff and the promise of the menu did not match their marketing. Overall the shoddy presentation the lacking attention to personal and environmental hygiene, poor homogenised food, with items missing from the order, dos nothing to warrant any repeat my custom nor even offer 1 star.

Made an order on just eat and despite the just eat app crashing, the restaurant still managed to process our order. The food arrived piping hot and five minutes earlier than expected. They dealt with an allergy request to, the prices are very reasonable. I would give them ten stars if I could

1st time ordering from here, OMG it was fantastic, my hubby is not keen on indian food as its too spicy, but wow, he is converted!!!! had a malayan and a massala, boy they were lush!!!, defiantly will order again, super impressed, prompt delivery, reasonably priced and gorgeous hot food!!! thank you so much!!

See below for my old review, my new review has knocked three stars off. I don’t know what’s happened to this place but it’s gone downhill now. No one answers the phone anymore, they say they’re always out back, and now they’re forgetting orders. I never got my keema rice with my dhansak, and the cheese naan is nothing but a tonne of cheese wedged in the middle. Will not be using again sadly. *Fantastic curry house in Lincoln. Up there with castle gate Indian on the high street. Everything is tasty, fresh and hot when ordered. Bear in mind if you order online there is a 40p service charge and you have to create an account, but it’s really easy to do. Will order from here again.*

Do they have a new (worse) cook ? We have ordered there multiple times before and it was always good but this time (after a longer pause) it all tasted differently, the naan (our kids favourite) was by far not as good as before and everything was at least 2 stars worse. No longer the Indian takeaway of our choice. :-(

All curries just dont taste right. Had a bhuna, very spicy no tomatoes l. Balti was so sweet I couldn't eat it, was full of coconut which I hate and never had in a balti before, it's just weird.

Have been having takeaways from here for ages and always first class! However, tonight was not good! Dry breads and dry dry rice very dissapointing.

Ordered a birthday meal to be delivered.. only half turned up so I called the restaurant to let them know. I spoke to a girl who said the duty manager would call me back... never did .. ive emailed since and no response. Prior to this we used the takeaway service as our preferred Indian.. Not anymore I see they tend to delete the Facebook reviews.

Delivery was a little late but the driver apologised, food was nice.

Have ordered from here multiple times and food is always good however, this was the first time ordering on foodhub app and getting it delivered because we usually collect. App said delivery was free, but when the delivery driver arrived we were ordered to pay £2.50 delivery charge and told it said so on the website. We paid it and then double checked the app and the website both said free delivery, called the store and told I would get a call back and never did. Not bothered about the £2.50, more about that it wasn't required and never got a call back, not good customer service.

I can't believe this place doesn't have higher ratings it is absolutely delicious we ordered the set meal for £23.95 and u get soooo much and the quality is amazing!! Piping hot tender chicken full of flavour highly recommend the garlic chicken!! Thank you very much you're our new no 1 Indian takeaway!!

Been getting take aways for years from Sarga and always generally excellent. However, this evening's offering was truly awful with most of the dishes swimming in oil. Rang to complain and was thanked for my feedback!!! Won't be going back.

Had two takeaways from here now when visiting friends in uphill Lincoln... have to say.. despite the really bad reviews.. they were both the best Indian we’ve had in Lincoln . Delivered on time, tasty. Plentiful. Can’t wait to visit them again

Incredibly long delivery time, despite being a Monday evening. The garlic naan had garlic salt on it rather than the usual ghee and fresh garlic. Overall I would say hardly better than opening a jar at home!!!

The food has always been good when I’ve ordered from here but tonight I went into the shop and collected my order.. the lady on the desk had very little people skills and was just rude and abrupt! The males that work there are always polite and welcoming her on the other hand clearly doesn’t want to be there !

Just had a meal delivered after looking at the recommendations but was thoroughly disappointed had to throw most of it away lamb and chicken was very obviously not fresh. Will not be revisiting

Very disappointing, spent over £30 on a set meal for items to be missing and no option to re deliver due not enough drivers. Food was cold , naans was cold dry and almost stale. Such a shame as we use to love the set meals from saga and found them great value. Now the food tonight was not fresh and very cold. They now owe me for the missing item but honestly don't think I will bother ordering from them again. The food use to be amazing , not sure what's gone wrong.

Normally my favourite place to go when in Lincoln. But sadly things have changed in the last year. My meal was barely warm. The Nan was tough and tasted stale. The Seek Kebab starter, which is normally very tender, was tough. The problem then, is you start looking for other things that are wrong-it all went in the bin. Overall very disappointing and £32 down the drain. I won't go again.

Food delivered well within time, and in pouring rain, and tasty, hot and satisfying besides! Recommended.

Would give 0 if I could. Ordered a meal last night 3/6/18 . The guy who answered the phone could not understand English at all ,and when we went to collect food and got it Home noticed it was totally the wrong order. Phoned Mr Unhelpful up, and he begrudgingly agreed to deliver the correct meal that we originally ordered ( after several frustrating attempts to understand our postcode) at an extra cost to us because our original meal was more expensive than the one he made up that we wanted , his mistake not ours , but we paid it anyway. Meal arrived minus Naan bread we originally ordered ! So I phoned Mr Unhelpful myself to notify him who then says we have not paid for a naan bread ! His mistake again as we definitely ordered one ! I have never been so angry, over an incorrect meal in all my life , this man is incapable of getting an order right, he is Unhelpful, incompetent and Rude rude rude rude rude ! He does not give a dam what you eat even if you never ordered it. I never got my correct meal , we gave up in the end. The tandoori prawn tikka masala I eventually got that we had to pay extra for ( cost at near on £13 I believe ) had 3 , yes 3 whole prawns in it ! The rest was luminous red watery sauce ! I did not bother to ring Mr Unhelpful again about this, as I thought he wouldn’t care and might infuriate me so much that burst a blood vessel or something , so we have just chosen to never go there again.

Never disappointed with the service and quality of food always happy to meet our requirements in every way .. excellent quality and tasty food..tandoori king prawns are the besrt I've ever had thank you for such a tasty meal

Good food, though on the occasion I had Tikka Masalla it was rather sweet. All the other orders I have had have been lovely. Contrary to other reviewers the staff were very polite.

Awful 90 min delivery wait. Driver can't use a torch or navigate around Lincoln and management have lost future custom.

Ordered through Just Eat, and it was delivered in an impressive time! Only took 15 minutes (but maybe it was because it's a week day). Although the tikka masala was quite sweet, I love it that way, although I'm aware others may not be so keen. Everything we ordered was great and delicious, couldn't eat it fast enough!

The food is awesome! The service is good. The staff are RUDE and ignorant!!!! Such a pity otherwise this would be a perfect experience.

The food is good however the staff are extremely rude. Every time I have called to place an order the girl on the phone comes across as impatient and sharp in an almost arrogant manner. I left it a long time before going back to them in the hope that maybe the staff (In particular the ones taking the orders) learnt to respect their customers a bit more, however sadly this was not the case. Also a couple of times when we have had food delivered in the past there have been things missing and when we called to let them know we were pretty much acused of lying. All in all my husband loves the food, hence why we keep returning but because of their lack of customer care and/or respect we do not order as much as we would do because I simply cannot stand to deal with the phone staff.

Has gone seriously downhill since December/January time. I think due to new owners. It used to be excellent, now it's average at best! They need to learn some customer service skills too! Very rude!
