Highly recommend. Best fish and chips I have eaten in a long time. Lovely and fresh. Friendly staff. Reasonable wait time for freshly cooked food.

Haven't tried this chippy since ownership changed hands so we thought we'd give it a go tonight. Very disappointed, chips were so dry and hard, and way too many crispy ones! Potato surprise was tough and rubbery. With 6 or 7 people in the kitchen (though only 2 seemed to be cooking) you'd expect much better. Considering how pricey this chippy is compared to others in the area, we definitely won't be going back. Will stick to Ixworth chippy!!

For my second time the chips were so hard that we could not eat them. The fish was greasy. Cold unwelcoming service. Never again.

Very disorganised service, run by youngsters who lost control of orders and as a result I was overcharged considerable. Make sure you ask for a receipt when ordering so you can prove what you paid!

I cannot recommend highly enough. We have just moved into the area and decided to try out this chip shop, fish was cooked to perfection and chip crunchy and delicious. Thank you very much to the friendly and welcoming staff at Trawlers we look forward to becoming regular customers!

Sorry to say portions got well smaller prices have got bigger £3.80 for large chips which are quite small . Updated 29 July got £31 off rubbish kebab was cold lettuce was off brown slime on it burger bun roll was burned on top chicken wrap fell apart . Full of grease . Would definitely not go back . Food left on top for ages .

Food was average considering how long we waited. Would not recommend based on our wait time for a simple cod and 2 chips being over 20 minutes. Cash only as well which was frustrating. Don't recommend.

Very disappointed with the large portion of chips we bought tonight! Couldn't really call them chips as there was so many empty flat bits that had no potato in them. We had a lot of black and discoloured bits that we wouldn't eat and definitely not worth £4.20!

Update October 23. I think this has recently changed hands. Portions seem smaller and chips not as they used to be. Parking outside door, fish cooked to order, other options available.

Best Chippy In Town. We had a great Cod for a reasonably good price tonight. Very Lucky To Get This Good Food In Thurston.

I bought two cod roe a large fish and a large chips. Chips cold and undercooked. This establishment is expensive for small portions. When I go to other chip shops the food is hot and tasty and cheaper for a bigger portion. I contacted them on my return home and explained chips cold and a bit undercooked and to be fair I was offered some replacement chips. I feel this is a poor substitution for just a nice meal in the first place but I returned a couple of weeks later to give them a second chance. The chips were better cooked but still not hot. I will not return.

Great fresh food cooked to order, it was worth the wait. I spoke with a lovely young lad, I think his name was Dudley (?), who was polite, efficient and friendly 😄

Best fish and chips in Suffolk 10 out of 10. The only issue is lots of staff standing about and service is very slow.

Young staff were very helpful and lovely, sadly If owners ( wife) was I wouldn’t have to write this.

The staff are very friendly and the quality of the food has usually been very good, however they cannot seem to get an order right. 3rd time I've ordered in about 4 weeks, and it has been wrong every time. 2 cod and chips... missing both chips, which I returned to the shop for a still had to pay... cod and chips with a kebab, no chips, and tonight, 2 kebabs with 90% of the salad missing on one of them. Definitely room for improvement.

The Young team work extremely well together, always very polite and efficient. Always seem cool under pressure even when the shop is full on a Friday evening!

Absolute rubbish and will not return. Ordered 2 small cod and chips and a savloy and waited 45 mins. Lots of people who ordered after me received their order way before me, I asked twice where my order was and was told it's cooking. How long does it take to cook two small pieces of cod?? This isn't the first time they have either got our order wrong or it's taken forever, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. If you want to wait 45 mins for a tiny order, have your order messed up, extremely bad customer service or get home and have a stone cold savloy then I highly recommend this place. As for me, I will be taking my business elsewhere in future.

Ordered over the phone and made it very clear that I ordered 2 large sausage and chips twice. Of the three times I've ordered this not a single time did they get my order right, then was told to let my food go cold and pay for the convenience of getting my order right, never using again, absolutely disgrace.

Absolutley Superb Cod and chips (twice). Understandably increased in price due to cost of fish and power but worth every penny. Highly reccomended.

Never had any problems before until tonight 9/9/22 went to get 2 large portions of chips walking out with 2 medium size. The size of the chips is very disappointing

No complaints with the food, except the fish is a bit small, don't forget to phone up with your order at least 3 weeks in advance so they have plenty of notice to get your food ready on time.

Worst place I’ve ever been to fish was swimming in grease no taste took 35 mins to cook 4 cod and chips never go there unless you want to waste money.

The only reason i have put a 1 star - is i could not post this. i would give them none... Its disturbing that they shout and scream at their your staff, what makes it even worse, they do it in front of customers and a full shop of people.. not acceptable at all..
