Travelodge City Centre was a good enough hotel. Location was the best part. Room was good for the 3 nights we were there. They only have WIFI free for 30 minutes per day or else you need to pay more which we did not like as most hotels offer this service for free. The hotel is what you expect for a medium priced place.

This location is near to bus station. During Christmas, I received intimidation from hotel staff of being arrested for not checking out despite payment for another night needed due to pain received here. This brought much fear and more. These include: once entering the room, felt fainting, choke suffocating pain with frequent worse than pins and needles (like a knife stabbing parts of head to toe) at different parts of the room but also near areas outside the building. Using ear plug helps unless strangling of neck and veins felt more. These pain occurred at other locations but more here. Phone and other devices amenities (view photo of wifi) further affect this despite my phone being in the luggage or bag most times

The location is great less than 5 minutes from the bus station, multi storey car park and train station. You are on the main street so shops, places to eat and the eastgate shopping centre all within 5 minute walking distance. Check in was quick and easy. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and basic. There was tea, coffee, sugar and a kettle in the room if you needed more they were on a table at reception just help yourself. Also a television and a fan you plug in and 2 extra pillows for the bed if needed. The bed was comfy and the shower was awesome, good temperature and powerful. As you can see by my photo we were right on the street, which we were worried about the noise. But the windows are very good when they are shut no noise when they are open it is very noisy. I didn't eat here so can't comment on the food, there is a cafe just next door called The Red Pepper we had breakfast in there it was lovely. Would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Very uneven floor in the room, tiny window, but it was only ok for sleeping.

For what you pay for this room, I would say it is a good value. This is the basic room -- which is what we needed for just one night. You never stay in the room much anyway - so why pay high $$ for something you see only right before going to bed. The bed was large and very comfortable. The shower was excellent. Good value!

Nothing too special. Rooms are clean and decent. There was an issue with one of the bathrooms but they were able to switch to a different room easily. Breakfast not included, and was mediocre. You’re probably better off going somewhere else for a decent breakfast.

Room was more akin to a cell with one window at chin height, small bathroom. we travelling with a small dog and was allocated a room on the top floor furthest away from the entrance when I for a change of room I was informed the hotel was full. Having paid £20.00 extra for the dog and had also booked breakfast at the same time I was informed There was no provision having the dog with me while I ate, dogs cant be left alone in the bedroom and my car was in a multi-story carpark, so no breakfast. Also disappointed that wifi is charged for.

This was a fantastic hotel for a holiday, with a large room as expected! Beds are comfortable and facilities are plentiful, alongside the space on desk for leaving items. Counter is available upon entry manned by friendly staff, lift is efficient and room numbers are navigable!

Great location right near the train station and bus depot, rooms were good. No daily housekeeping which is fine post-covid. There was a line backed up out the door for check-in when we arrived because the front desk worker was off doing other stuff around the hotel, only real reason for a 3* service. Breakfast is also a great value being unlimited eats.

The hotel was clean and staff was very good. Location was great. Room was clean but run down, holes in walls in bathroom, toilet was leaning into sink. Not convenient having to keep bathroom door shut for fire alarm won’t go off. Finally no wifi have to pay it should be free

Another great Travelodge, warm clean tidy and good value. Perfect for the city centre and station. Dog friendly too! No parking, but the multi storey is 3 mins away and reasonably priced 👍

Wonderful stay at the Nevis Bank Inn hotel. Our room was comfortable and spacious, and the food in the restaurant was really delicious as well. Big shoutout to the staff working there (Charlie) who was very helpful and friendly, and went above and beyond in his service for us. Much appreciated, cheers!

At the risk of sounding pompous,, my family and I have spent thousands upon thousands in this restaurant over the years. We've been going for over 25+ years. Ordered a takeaway tonight and got my usual, Tandoori king prawn for the princely sum of £22.40. What does one get for that? 3 prawns. Yes, THREE prawns. T-H-R-E-E. It used to be 10-12. The other food was just alright. Not bad at all but not what we used to expect under the previous owner. Very oily. It's very disappointing to spend this much at a restaurant we have so many good memories of.
