Food was really nice and tasty Shane the waiter is rude off and totally not helpful - would go back definitely as the food was lovely but won’t because waiter was rude with no customer service skills

My friend and I went for lunch yesterday ... not the first time ... and have no complaints whatsoever. Lovely waitress, very helpful and attentive. Lovely food ... I could eat it every day! We had cheesy garlic bread, caprese and lasagne. We are going to make it a monthly date now.

Very disappointed with the seafood risotto, have been going to this restaurant since it opened and most of the time I go go for the risotto. Last nights was a smaller portion and only had mussels in the risotto as opposed to assorted seafood as per the menu, if a restaurant cannot get the ingredients then either take it off the menu or explain to the customer.

The pizza was excellent, Huge. House wine was really nice. Great service. Fantastic atmosphere. Really enjoyed the evening.

Myself and a group of my friends came here for lunch as we have done many times in the past. We were the only table in the restaurant and so the waiter was clearly overworked as we had to ask him at least 5 times for a menu, for drinks, to order etc. It was almost as if we had ruined his day by giving him something to do. After what felt like pulling teeth, we eventually ordered a bruschetta and an Italian meat antipasti sharing platter. The bruschetta was soggy but the antipasti…It looked like roadkill and thei put a bit of shredded iceberg lettuce (which looked out of date) next to it and a cut cherry tomato and tried to pass that off as garnish. The photo doesn’t do justice to how bad it actually looked! None of us could eat it so we asked to send it back and remove it from our bill and that’s when the real shock came. The waiter took our food into the kitchen and then there were almighty crashes as he and the chef argued. Plates and other cutlery was thrown and it got so bad that we felt unsafe and had to leave. We tried to pay our bill and the waiter said that the argument was nothing to do with us (which it clearly was) and was just an argument between himself and the chef and implored is to stay. Regardless of the reason it was unprofessional and we could never have continued our meal following that altercation and we almost had to throw money for our drinks and the bruschetta as we hurried out of the door.

Arrived at 17:30, 2 courses later & out the door by 18:30. What happened to the Italian relaxed 'Piano, Piano' The 2 male waiters were unwelcoming even though it wasn't busy (4 other tables in use). There was no interaction. No welcome. No smile. No how was for food. No would you like to see the desert menu, Nothing! It was a case of, here's your table, here's the menu, theres your food, do you want the bill! The Bruschetta was bland & my wifes pasta was hot on the outside & cold oin the middle, I suspect a microwave is the head chefs in the kitchen. I also suspect that because we booked at 17:30 they wanted us out the door for a later booking (though there was plenty of free tables available) No wonder they add on 10% service charge to the bill as there was no service given to justify a tip. it's a shame as its in a great location to get off the train & have a nice meal but I won't be coming back again.

Went there tonight excellent meal as always very friendly and they make the best garlic bread.recommend fabulous food.

This restaurant has been around for a while and I hadn’t really heard anything about it, good or bad, until recently when a friend recommended it to me. We decided to book a pre Xmas dinner with friends, the last weekend before Xmas and I have to say the food was absolutely superb. The only thing I would say is a few of the older Male members of staff looked absolutely miserable, but the rest were fine. Anyway if you haven’t already tried it and keep meaning to, I would suggest you give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!

This spacious restaurant occupies part of a small railway station originally, we were told, the station master's house. It has two dining areas, open to each other, and a separate bar which appeared well stocked. A large coffee machine dominates the entrance lobby. There is an attract garden forecourt in which it must be nice to dine in warmer weather. We ate on a quiet midweek evening with about half a dozen other diners. The food was generally good although we agree with previous comments that the whitebait in the "Antipasta della Trattoria" was overcooked; it was too browned and crispy with loss of the expected tenderness. In the same dish "for sharing" (for two presumably) there was an odd number, three, of the large prawns; inevitable conflict! Pasta courses were very good while main courses of gamberoni were enjoyed although the accompanying cauliflower and broccoli were not to everyone's taste especially when plainly boiled. These minor quibbles mustn't detract from the overall quality of food, service, ambience, etc. We too are puzzled by some diners' disappointment at unsmiling waiters. Do they really want American style instant false friendship from singing dancing grinning waiters? We do not. We found perfectly civil, competent and attentive service.

I have had the displeasure of reading a scathing review from someone called 'thelenses'. I disagree totally with what has been written by this person as i have had the most pleasant experience at Trattoria Verde. The food is exceptional and plentiful for your money and would recommend it to anyone. I have NEVER had a poor meal at Trattoria Verde, nor have i experienced poor hospitality from the staff that work there. The restaurant is spotless and is kept very clean and to a very high standard. Having read what 'thelenses' had written had prompted me to write my own review to say what it is actually like to eat there. 'thelenses' probably have never eaten in the Trattoria Verde and probably own their own Italian restaurant as the way their scathing review is written would suggest that Trattoria Verde is of a very high standard that to damage business would be the only way to take trade from such a warm, friendly and impeccable restaurant. I would tell anyone reading this that you would do yourself well to book a table and have yourself a fantastic meal at the Trattoria Verde.

My husband and I visited here last night. The restaurant is lovely and in summer it has patio doors opening on to a garden area, which is nice. When we arrived we were greeted by a totally miserable waiter. We ordered our drinks, which were fine and my wine was lovely and chilled. After that, as far as we were concerned it went downhill. Looking at other reviews regarding food we wonder if we were eating in the same restaurant. I can only assume that they were mainly about pizza and pasta, because we were not happy with our food at all. My husband had the whitebait, which he said was overdone. I had the calamari, which was very pale and tasteless. I regularly have calamari and this was not as nice as I like at all. My husband had the veal Milanese, which was generous in size. Two large escalopes, which he said were dry and bland. I had the scallops and tiger prawns in a white wine sauce. At £22.95, it was certainly not cheap. It was not a very big portion of scallops and they looked very unappetising and underdone to me, so I sent them back to be cooked more. The prawns were fine, but served in their shells, which I think you don't expect from reading the menu. There was very little sauce and the scallops were tasteless. Both meals came with saute potatoes and vegetables. The saute potatoes looked like the frozen ones and I have had a lot nicer elsewhere and the vegetables were carrots, broccoli and cauliflower, just plain boiled and they looked very unappetising and as though they had come from a canteen, not a high class restaurant with high class prices!! I had semi freddo for dessert and that was nice and the cappuccinos were nice too. The two waiters stayed miserable all evening, but the waitresses were all lovely and very smiley. I feel this restaurant Is overpriced for the quality of the food. Perhaps if we had pizza or pasta I may have been doing a different review, but we certainly won't be returning as there are far better Italians around.

This joint was outside my usual area but I fancied trying something a short train ride away. The building is nice enough, with an inside area, airy conservatory, and space for outside dining; clean decor and decent furniture. The menu looked decent for a regular neighborhood Italian, and that's a positive from me in that I find Italian food delicious and generally pretty hard to get wrong. My party kept things simple with pizza and pasta, and these delivered everything we were after from the meal; well cooked, tasty, and arrived quickly. The service was fine, but the the waiter didn't smile once in all the time he served us or any of the other tables. I'm not one for BS small talk, but a greeting on entering, a smile here and there, a bit of engagement with us about how our day had been, or saying that our dishes were a 'good choice' or something would have made the whole experience more enjoyable. I would recommend Trattoria Verde, I would say it's worth a journey from elsewhere in the borough if you fancy a change of scenery; but just be aware you might not get a smile!

Miserable head waiter/owner, so a poor start: he never seemed to cheer up. We had pizzas which were excellent and well served. Good ambience.

Stopped by for a quick lunch with my partner. We usually use Padrino in Southend/Westcliff but thought we’d try here as it’s local....wish we hadn’t bothered!Firstly, the waiter made a big deal about us having a half & half garlic bread, this has never been a problem elsewhere!So already feeling somewhat uncomfortable, we decided to just share a pizza and make off! Ordered the prosciutto e funghi.....what came out was simply a pizza with with chopped, thick, shop bought ham! I have used this place for a take out pizza 4 years ago and decided that it was worth a try for a quick meal with my wife The quality of food was good it’s presentation only average however prawns in the shell in pill pill sauce and no finger bowl to clean up while eating ! Terrible service & they weren't even busy! Booked for 6.45, arrived 6.40, we was shown to our table & left there for 20 minutes, not asked if we would like a drink, four staff on & they totally ignored us (wouldn't of minded but another couple came in after us & got a drink & then a table for 4 came in & got drinks) 7pm we got up & went to Mr Pings (one minute walk away) now they know how to treat there customers & always a fab meal!!

This restaurant is around the corner from my house and I'd never tried it until now... The starter was lovely, I ate calzone for a main quite frankly the best I've had the dough was light rather than heavy and the taste was sublime. My father had the seafood risotto which he wolfed down. The tiramisu was exquisite the staff were polite, friendly and knowledgeable and suggested a decent accompanying wine, cheaper than the one I picked and still tasted excellent. I'd go back and would recommend this restaurant I'm just disappointed I hadn't tried them earlier

I think I must have been unlucky on my earlier visit, this time we all had very good meal. The restaurant is divided into two parts, one serving Italian favourites and the other serving burgers and steaks. The Italian part has a good varied menu to suit all tastes. Like a lot of Italian restaurants it tends to be rather noisy.

Probably the best italian restaurant we have ever been to very comfortable and the food is excellent also the service is excellent we cannot fault it in any way .

We were two friends and a child dining at the trattoria. We had excrllent food and the staff in particular Fernando was treating us superbly. We will go back soon and place will become a regular

We took our grandson for a family meal for his first birthday. We had a really good time and the managers and staff made it a memorable occasion. They had the table set ready with two high chairs and delivered food quickly for little ones who were not much in the mood for waiting for their food. They sourced a plastic bowl for one of the little ones, because he wanted one for his peas and did a repair job on the birthday cake that got damaged on the journey there. (Without even being asked). They are family friendly and nothing seems to faze them. It made our daughter’s day.

This cute little restaurant abuts the Thorpe Bay station. The food is excellent and service is warm and friendly. It looks like the original restaurant has expanded into a covered courtyard if you want that "patio dining" feel. Just overall, cozy. My kids liked the chicken alfredo and thin crust pizzas. Adjacent is a steak restaurant and we were able to order from there as well. The "fat chips" from the steak restaurant were the best we had in the London area. Seriously. I'd go just for a meal of fat chips alone.

Me, my wife and son arrived here for my birthday meal out, only to find that my wife had book the wrong restaurant by mistake. The waiter found us a table and double checked their bookings, to return and confirm we had got the wrong place. When we explained it was this place we wanted, he said no problem just stay. Our order was take and the drinks were brought out sharply, shortly followed by the starters. The waiter was jolly and friendly but not over intrusive. He even gave myself tips on how to eat my butterfly pawns the best way, maximising the flavour and enjoyment. All the food was outstanding and the atmosphere was welcoming and friendly, we were made to feel like we were friends of the family. We will be returning again soon and would reckon mend this place to anyone.

This Italian has taken a while to find it's feet, but has now found the consistency it needed in both food and service to succeed. Nothing fancy here, just simply cooked food always served piping hot and very reasonably priced. We have become regular visitors over the last 6 months, along with it seems many others given Fernando seems to know the majority of those who come in! The newly covered and heated patio area looked warm and cosy even on a January evening. Keep up the good work.

We went out on a Wednesday night. There was a lovely welcome by our waiter Fernando. We tried the stuffed mushroom starter. Pizza for the main for my wife and spaghetti carbonara for my self. The food was delicious and served promptly.

We were a group of six and had an early booking on a Friday evening. We were pleasantly greeted and shown to our table. The atmosphere was very nice, food was excellent and the staff very pleasant and accommodating. I particularly liked the fact that when guests were greeted, their children were also greeted in their own right. Very nice. I will definitely be back.

Absolutely love this restaurant, in fact it’s frequently visited by myself and all my work colleagues. Fernando always makes us feel welcome, and goes above and beyond to make sure we are entirely happy. Without doubt my favourite restaurant in Southend.

I have had lunch at Trattoria Verde perhaps four or five times now, and each time it has been very good. The cooking is consistently good, and there is a very nice atmosphere. The wine list is also good. Whether one takes old favourites, or interesting specials, the quality is very high. I always look forward to visiting this restaurant.

I went here today with my family (6 of us)... our server (a middle aged man) was very rude and definitely should not be working in hospitality... will never go back... we left after the first round of drinks and went to a restaurant down the road as the service was beyond any thing I have EVER endured before!.. made me feel very uncomfortable!!

We visited the restaurant today as a large family for my aunties birthday treat. The waiter there was still cleaning and mopping the floors at 1pm although they opened at 12am (which is fine.) We had to ask 3 times to order drinks to which the male waiter huffed and asked us to wait. On the third time, he started patronising my father by saying “excuse me sir, I just told your wife I would be there in a minute” bare in mind we had been there 30-40 minutes and hadn’t even been able to order drinks yet. The waiter was absolutely shocking. I have never complained in a restaurant as I understand the stress working in one but the service was literally appauling. When my auntie tried to order food (after asking twice if she could order as we had all finished our drinks and he was still cleaning) with a serious attitude problem he rudely took half of the order until my father stood up and explained it was unacceptable how we were being treated. We paid the bill for our drinks and left. We explained politely to him that we were unhappy with his patronising comments, tutting and poor customer service when we were polite, chatty and friendly to him. He argued with us saying he was busy (there was only one small family in the restaurant apart from us) and he rolled his eyes. I can assure you that we were extremely patient with him. He was rude to us as soon as we walked through the door. Sadly, we will not be returning to a restaurant we once loved.

Had a delicious set lunch menu- great value, huge starter portions and exceptional service by Fernando. Will be back!

Visited this small Friendly Italian restaurant for lunch, very quiet at lunchtime plenty of room. There is an extensive menu with the option of a 2 or 3 course fixed price menu which is very good value. I was told that it gets busy in the evening but it was very pleasant being quiet and there was the choice of indoor or outdoor seating. I had the mozzarella to start and sea bass, my wife had calamari and pork fillet, our relative had pasta with chicken, all very nice and the bill with a drink came to under £50 including service charge. A very pleasant lunch and we will go again.

Came here with my 2 sons 8yrs and 10yrs and had a wonderful time.

It was nice to have a family dinner, but the food was nothing to write home about at Trattoria Verde. The menu is a typical Italian restaurant menu, the prices were reasonable. We were advised, by friends, that the best dishes were probably the Pastas and Pizzas. The atmosphere of the restaurant is pleasant and the staff were very helpful, there are however better Italians in Southend.

Myself and my boyfriend were here last Sunday and loved it so much that we came back on Friday with friends and again the following Sunday. We have family in Italy and this food is just like we are back in Puglia, it is fantastic!! Service is great and really good menu with so many yummy dishes to chose from and a good drinks menu also. Love their bottle beers, they're so delish! My favourite dishes so far are the pork in mushroom sauce and the spinach and ricotta ravioli with creamy walnut sauce, this is incredible! Love their buffalo mozzarella too, also really good vegetarian choices! Cannot wait to go back!!

The Service was excellent, food was good and so was the wine Great position for those using the train.

We have visited this place several times now. It is a vey nice restaurant, nice food and service is very good too. Nice getting of the train from London and drop in for dinner. Highly recommendable.

Myself and 3 friends visited last night. The service from fernando was fantastic, friendly but not intrusive. He recommended various dishes all of which were superb especially the prawns in a chilli and tomato sauce,pizza, fillet steak and pasta parcels in a truffle sauce were equally good compliments to the chef. Can't wait to return it is a lovely local Italian bistro.

Have visited this restaurant many times with very mixed results but this visit was super .Service very good and attentive ,food great value for money and tasty , ambience(after the small babies had left) was fun and festive all in all thoroughly enjoyable evening will definitely be going back .

Booking the day before our visit we were accommodated despite the presence of two fairly large parties. The ambience was friendly, the table linen immaculate and the service prompt. Even more important, the food was beautifully cooked- the real thing. Very reasonable prices. Definitely worth a return visit.

We always go to the Trat Verdi side but as a treat for my husband I decided to take him to Traks. Lovely meal, we had 2 starters Jalapenos with cheese and chicken wings, these were both lovely. For mains I had the Philly and hubby had the Rib Eye on Lava stone. Both meals were great, very good afternoon.

This is about our fourth time at this restaurant as we are very local and yet again another great experience.Any restaurant that does a fabulous Risotto, is a fav for me and it was really lovely.Both my husband and I stuck to the al a carte and greedy beasts that we are had all 3 courses.Hopefully, going back again this week, so as you can see, we rather like this place.Always had good food and good service.

Wife and I have been here twice in the last two months and each time we have had a great meal with very god service.The staff, Fernando is attentive, polite and knowledgeable.Food is good, hygiene and cleanliness is evident and it is a good venue for getting in and out in a reasonably fast time during the week.Well worth a visit, the food is very good and so too is the value.

I went there recently with a few friends as a get together meal. The food was good, lots of choice, plenty of price options and all around decent. The staff were good, joking with us, however to other tables they took it a bit too far, causing some offence. The restaurant also puts a 10% service charge on every bill, which added an extra £10 to the bill, which we were not impressed with as we would not have tipped that much. Not a fine dining experience, but if that's not what you want or were expecting, you'll like it. Watch the bill as well - friends on previous occasions have said that they were overcharged for their food.

The new steak restaurant is absolutely wonderful I had a fillet steak on lava stone and could cook it just how I like it(unfortunately well done+) it was so succulent and tender. The staff cannot do enough to make your meal enjoyable

Wow!We had an early dinner here tonight. Food was absolutely wonderful. Service and atmosphere was fantastic. We live just up the road from this restaurant and this is exactly what we've been waiting for.

I last wrote a review on this restaurant over a year ago and have visited many times since. However I had such a wonderful meal there last night that I felt it warranted another review!This restaurant has come on leaps and bounds over the last year and rarely disappoints. With a new chef on board and a much better menu I cannot recommend highly enough. The staff are friendly, the wine choices are impressive and the food really is delicious and authentically Italian. The Lasagne, veal Milanese and my favourite pasta dish (Fiocchi) are all first class.This is a wonderful local restaurant to have in the Thorpe Bay area.

Where can you get veal Milanese in Southend? I come back to this restaurant and have it every time. My husband has it with the sauté potato and veg , I have it with spaghetti, wonderful.

If this was a 'genuine Italian dining experience` as promised on Trattoria Verde's website… then it was enough to put me off Italian food for good.I know a lot of oil is used in Italian cookery but surely my veal escalope shouldn't be floating in a pool of it? There were no vegetables, just a few oily potatoes. The oil had an odd taste too, I found the meal inedible. My friend couldn't eat her spaghetti bolognese either. She was expecting spaghetti topped with sauce but the dish was served all mixed up in the dish - looked like a dog's dinner she said. The waiter didn't check on us or we would have asked if we could have chosen something else from their £9.95 Lunch Menu. I very much regret having to write this bad review as the restaurant is local to us and we would like it to do well. The décor is lovely, I wish the food was too. As we left I said how disappointed I was having to pay for a meal I couldn't eat but felt the waiter's apology was insincere. Surely when there is such competition between restaurants an unhappy customer should not be allowed to leave dissatisfied but Trattoria Verde were just not bothered. We will not be eating there again.

Have been going to this place intermittently for a few years and despite staff changes the food has remained consistently good. We tend to opt for more expensive items on the menu I.e steak but my daughter has the pizza or meatballs and both are amazing. Definitely worth a visit.

We wanted an italian must of the place where booked so I suggested trattoria verde to be onest was not very busy but the welcoming was great and the food to staff friendly and attentive, they care. pasquale helped with food and wine, he knows is stuff, I would change the deco but that won't stop me come back. The restaurant is run by staff that truly care,,, the food is a little inconsistent but they are working hard to improve,,,, I think with a little bit of tweaking this restaurant could be fabulous!!

We've been here several times since it opened, and it has steadily improved. Service quality was originally inconsistent, but on the last few visits we have had nothing to complain about.The food is quite varied, but some dishes can be expensive, so I've tended to stick with the pizzas, which come in at around £9. To be honest I can't recall having a bad pizza here - I see some reviewers have not been so lucky. The wine list is fairly short but the house red is fine.We view it as a decent local place that we go to every now and then rather than a destination restaurant. In the summer the garden at the front is a good place to enjoy pizzas and a few beers, and I think they are currently creating a steakhouse side restaurant to complement the existing menu.Someone has mentioned the quality of the service from a particular individual already. To balance that out there is now another, much better, guy who's served us recently and he's more up to speed.

This was our first visit and were a family group of 8. The staff were welcoming and we thought the restaurant was cosy. Most of us ordered a pasta dish. One of us who loves risotto ordered the mushroom risotto but to be honest, it was just put on a flat plate (not that important) but instead of being moist and creamy, it was stodgy and hard work to get through. Other pasta dishes ordered revealed one prawn on the top of what should have contained a seafood selection! The tiramisu was delicious. It seemed very expensive for the little and type of food we ate.

Worst pizza I have ever been served, tasteless, swimming in oil, cheese sloppy and almost impossible to cut through the base with a steak knife. Miserable service by a short rotund waiter who clearly gave the impression that he did not want to serve customers. In my opinion if you go there don't have a pizza, don't expect good service or atmosphere, they might do better to rename the place Fawlty Towers at least you would then know what to expect.

We went here for a birthday lunch. The food was ok but no better than we could do ourselves. It was hugely overpriced at nearly £40 a head with wine. Fine dining prices with home cooked food.

Went for a quiet meal with a friend. It was fabulous. The food was fantastic and fresh. So much to choose from. The staff were lovely and really helpful. It's an odd location and not cheap but I would recommend this little gem to anyone.

First dinner at this restaurant having previously lunched there.Starters were good; mains varied, I had one of the chilli pasta dishes which bordered on bland: desserts were excellent.House white wine was a disappointment and served tepid.Ambiance good: décor good: staff friendly and attentive.Worth a second chance.

My husband and I went for a romantic meal and we certainly wasn't disappointed. They have a big restaurant which can be used for bigger groups of people (but be aware if this place gets very busy pizzas can take a while as all there pizzas are made fresh and they don't have a big oven). But they also have a smaller restaurant to the side as well which is more cozier and romantic. Staff are very attentive and they made sure you were happy with your meal and your drinks were full. Menu had a lot to offer and we weren't disappointed. Would deffinately come back to this place.

Surprised at anther reviews on poor service as ours was good. Food in general is good,fresh ingredients but lacking punchy flavor in most dishes. Good value wine list and choice.If they can improve the quality of food then am sure they will get busier. Also lose the digital specials board and use a traditional blackboard!

Met my husband off the train and though we'd have a drink. Wasn't offered the wine list and had to ask for it. Lovely sunny evening and no umbrellas on the outside table. Wine delivered with no interaction from the waiter. It could be lovely but at the moment it is somewhat soulless and frankly unfriendly

After going to the theatre in London on 9 June we opted to come back to Thorpe Bay where we live instead of dining in London. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious and the service was very good. It was also good value for money. We were very surprised that it wasn't busier so come on you lot from Thorpe Bay, give your local Italian restaurant a try!

The service by the waiters at this establishment is very good but the food we had was awful ! We booked for fathers day on Sunday 19th June and the restaurant is looking shabby with a missing picture on the wall .My sons steak was cold.I had the starter of prawns with their shells on which was smothered in a tomato sauce which made them very messy to eat and no fingerbowl was provided,when i asked for one they produced a stone cold bowl of water with lemon in , all the other establishments I visit have warm water in their finger bowls.My main course of seafood risotto was a glutinous mess with very little seafood in it.The dessert of chocolate sponge was dry and stale.

We tried this restaurant for the first time last week. Upon entering there were a few tables taken and instead of a warm welcome, we were asked to find a table for ourselves. The waiter then asked if we wanted a drink, without any 'hello, how are you' etc. We ordered a bottle of wine and were then asked, 'have you chosen?'The food in fact was excellent, although we spoilt the table cloth trying to get the prawns covered in a spicy sauce, out of their shells and legs. It was not easy without getting a stain here and there. The mains were very tasty, well cooked and good sized portions, as were the deserts. However all seved without any flair and simply placed in front of us.We do not want to be fawned over and given lots of BLAH BLAH, but some simple politeness, warmth and a pleasant smiley service would have meant we would visit again and again. Instead, we think we will give it a miss. Shame.

First time here and I was very pleasantly surprised, as not too sure what to expect after reading some reviews. Well I'm really pleased we went and firstly I loved the ambience of the place. Very nice decor and and despite being next to Thorpe Bay Station extremely quiet! The menu is lovely and I opted for the prawns in garlic, white wine, chilli and tomatoes . I asked if this could be served with pasta, and had linguine. It really was one of the best Italian prawn dishes I've ever had. Lovely prawns (asked for all shell off), and pasta was perfect. Just the right amount of chilli too. All in all, every mouthful was delicious! My husband had the veal escalope in mushroom sauce which he said was lovely. For dessert I can highly recommend the creme brûlée and my husband had the cherry pie. Service was good and they gave us lots of time to choose, so very patient too! We will definitely be returning here!

Last night we had a very good meal at Trattoria Verde. Having checked the reviews and dropped by earlier in the day to look at the menu, we decided to give it a try as a few of our friends had heard it was very good. We were not disappointed. The prawns were very well cooked, the pasta was light and tasty whilst the sirloin steak was extremely good. We will certainly be returning and we'd like to try the special lunchtime menus as they look reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit!

Garlic bread was to die for, starter picante prawns were massive..then the desert all home made by Domingo's wife were amazing - you have to try that white pudding. Can't remember the name but it was delicious.Company was great - thanks Sarah for a good night xxx
