Some tips for good Chinese eaters: Bie Dian Yi Mian I don’t know if I haven’t eaten the other ones. I think the pizza is ok from other people’s perspective. You can drink it or something.

Penne Con Pesto and a 33 cl soda for a total of over £17. Food was just ok - definitely overpriced. It's insane how a 33 cl soda can be £3.45. Honestly way too much even for an airport. And to top it all off we had to ask for cutlery at the table.

Small portions and both food and drinks were very overpriced (£17 for one dish and a 330ml coke). The two different pastas me and my gf ordered tasted bland and not even the salt and pepper helped make it better. The service was ok and the way to order online was quite fast.

Absolutely awful ordering and payment procedure need to input name, address, email and manually input all card details so I had pretty well lost my appetite before the well overpriced food arrived

Ordering through their app once at the table a journey through an electronic death maze. No option given by server, on seating us, to place order with waiting staff. 10 minutes of frustration and any time left to eat before flight left disappeared. Walked away. Suggested to waitress as we left quite politely that it might be an idea to have a sign at the restaurant entrance explaining that ordering and payment done through phone. Waitress had a generation Z meltdown shouting loudly that she should never be spoken to like this and why was I talking to her about this. (Because you clearly work here perhaps?) Waves of aggrieved entitlement swept the restaurant like a furious tsunami; sloshing over tables of bewildered patrons. Bumbling bespectacled 60 something manager wandered around like the despairing headmaster of StTrinians. Training program of female staff appears to have them binge watching every tv show every made where chippy northern woman pounds the evil patriarchy into submission. Recommended for anyone wanting to experience the future of Britain.

I found an hair a long hair in my breakfast roll , I did show them they did ask if I wanted another it put me off, so I declined. They said I could have anything I wanted and give me a full refund for both breakfasts . Took my details , and I would get reimbursed the 31.00 but I’ve had nothing back. we flew out Sat 15th March . We did have a free glass of wine so I am dissatisfied as it’s been two weeks now. I would not put a review if I had my money back but havnt so not happy about it . Not when they did say a full refund …

Really disappointing .... No pasta dishes available.... pizza was OK... no waiter service , you have to order everything on your phone, paying before food arrives... which took 20 minutes ... even have to give address and email to pay ... and it was very overpriced... Will not be back

Food good , however the Manager ( I presume his was this , all in grey) seems to have no people skills towards staff . Having a go at a poor staff member for not handing out menus when he did . There’s no need to treat staff like this, particularly in front of customers. Change your attitude shame on you !

Surprisingly good for an airport restaurant. Marguerites pizza is excellent with a crispy base. Penne Pomodoro sauce was a bit tepid and dry, but edible. Service was excellent

Honestly just a bit annoying that the full English (or any breakfast) doesn’t come with toast 🤣 what a pain. Never been served a full English with no toast before.

Terminal 3 at Machester airport are just a complete joke. Both the 2 main restaurants are dirty & terribel. My kids cook much better then the chefs here. Unfortunately i have tried this restaurant several times since its no other alternatives. The neighbor place is even worse. Breakfast, lunch or dinner. It doesnt matter. Its a shockingly low level. So many years & no improvement.

Food was lovely, wine was the right temperature and very pleasant, staff were friendly and attentive.. A great start to the holiday, almost forgot we were in an airport. Thank you

Good service, nice greeting. Very minimal selection of food to order and a poor quality of food. It tasted like a pre cooked microwave meal and there were no spoons for your pasta. Overpriced

It was very disappointing unfortunately. It was being refurbished, and so unfortunately they were using the menu and kitchen of the "lion and antelope" next door. The service was good, and very friendly, but didn't make up for the poor food and choices. Small portions and over priced. Maybe wait until the refurbishment is finished.

Lukewarm food, you have to order for yourself in an app, served on a plastic plate. Nothing Italian about it, just a regular wetherspoons type menu. It did come out very quickly which was good as had a flight to catch. Manchester T3 is the worst place on earth in any case, so I was just grateful to find food and a seat..

The staff were super friendly, as soon as I lined up I was seated right away, I scanned the QR for the menu and ordered my food, it came surprising quickly. The food was 11/10 it was fresh, the pasta was soft and succulent & had a lot of flavour to it. It was very filling. Cool place to chill whilst waiting for a flight

Efficient and friendly service, plug points for laptops, very pricey. Loud open food court, but slightly quieter corner seats available. No alcohol free beer! Here they could easily improve by stocking no alcohol options for people who still want to travel and/or drive.

Possibly the worst breakfast I've ever had. Plus, the prices are crazy. Unfortunately, the staff appear to be quite used to negative comments and even they were apologetic.

Amazing Service, delicious food. I ordered vegan pizza topped with chicken (which is halal btw). Haider has been so sweet and helpful. Kudos to the team for serving delicious food with a smile in the face!

This is a very nice spot to relax before a flight and the food is good. In my view, it is also reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Well, here we are at the Trattoria Milano, Terminal 3, Manchester Airport. My wife ordered a pizza £15.50, fantastic, very tasty, and I ordered the Salmon Ravioli at £16.00, tasty but a very, very small portion. Food is fine but just be aware of how small the portion size is.

We came for a nice meal before our flight but received a rude attitude from who I assume was the manager on shift (woman dressed in all black) - when I came up to the bar for help with query, I was ignored by the manager who was preoccupied talking and giggling about drinking on shift. Then when discussing my query, she had the most ignorant attitude, no sincerity or pleasant tone. Plus the meals MUST be microwaved as our 2 x different pasta dishes came out after 5 minutes of ordering. Oh and you can’t add chicken after your meal has arrived or else the world will end.

Sub standard and over priced as with most airport eateries. Waited, and waited and waited a bit more…. then finally acknowledged and shown to a seat then promptly abandoned. Oh I have to do the leg work, scan a QR code that takes you to their menu only for it to consistently crash then you have to get up an order yourself if you can find someone who isn’t preoccupied talking about drinking on shift an eyeing up a mid afternoon bowl of ice cream-I expect to numb themselves to how uninspiring the food actually is. Ordered, paid, and amazingly the ‘freshly cooked’ food arrived in under 5 minutes despite a “30/35 minute wait on food”, chef must have stopped time, or more likely microwave 111 to the rescue whilst the chef and his buddy throw stuff at each other near the toilets in the tunnel by gate 49. I asked for chicken as a side with my meal after it arrived as we wasn’t asked during the ordering process and were told impossible, not happening, who even are you? And gave us the usual vacant stare worn by those who just can’t be arsed, that or my partner had a seagull on her head. So, apparently i’m now a vegetarian, no meat passed my lips, possibly a good thing even though admittedly the cheese covered garlic ciabatta was lovely and the pesto pasta dish was tasty. (Minus the chicken) Ordered tap water as we’d already been shafted for two dishes so the bill came to £35, pasta carbonara, pesto penne & a cheese ciabatta. What a royal bumming. £15 for a 9” cardboard esq pizza was never an option, save your money and get a WHSmith meal deal instead, the self service checkout in there has better customer service and a wider drinks selection. Manager needs to pull their finger out and get this placed turned around, could be so much better. Oh and beer choice…. Come on, the Italians love a pint, but nope, some dire off brand and that’s about it, and only 330ml.

shockingly bad! grabbed breakfast before our flight and how you can make scrambled eggs, bacon, tomatoes and hash brown taste of nothing is beyond me. don't waste your time and money

We always come here while flying from terminal 3, Food is lovely, very quick and fresh. And Sarah is the most wonderful server, she always remembers us and makes a fuss. As front as house she’s brilliant and a credit to the restaurant.

Terminal 3 at Manchester airport doesn't have a huge choice of places to eat, but sometimes it's good to try something new or different right? Right. But not in this case. Don't let your inquisitive thoughts trick you into going here. We were after a fairly quick breakfast snack before our flight. Menu looked ok so why not. Gentlemen greeting was fairly stoic but had some partially enjoyable patter about ordering and paying. So we sat, and duly ordered via the QR code link. One breakfast sandwich - described as featuring "sausages, scrambled egg and bacon" on a ciabatta. £8.50. And for my partner - the tantalisingly sounding goats cheese and mushroom croissant. The ciabatta was a miserable specimen. Limp, not toasted, and just sad. The fillings though - they could save it. No. It had a single sausage, sliced in half and inexplicably distributed longitudinally one half at each end. Rubber scrambled egg sliced and thrown in. And a single rasher of bacon cooked with a tea light. The croissant didn't turn up for 20 more minutes after we asked of its whereabouts. A depressing flaky thing with a disc of cheese that may have once been near a goat. An awful collection of poorly executed matter.

There is little choice of eating points in the departure lounge. I have tried them all over many visits, and this is the only place where you get what you pay for and find courtesy or efficiency from clean or polite staff. PLUS tables are clean; there is table service and no queuing; no stale bread; there is a choice of veggie menu and you can get a guinness. I will happily return. A pleasant alternative to the 'don't give a b- - - - -' attitude of Costa and the Lion and Antelope. Thank you to a pleasant bunch of staff.

Minging powdered eggs, and just generally flavourless brekkie. Giving a star for speed of it coming out and for the hash browns but I’d rather it was slower and actually tasted nice.

Before I start, I have to admit I loath Manchrster Airport. Thought I had seen the back of it, but here I am again. Terminal 3, hungry and with hours to kill. The Lion and Antelope is worse than ever. No real ale, just lager and cider. So decided to try the Trattoria Milano , after all, how can you get Italian wrong. Oh dear. Its kind of self service. Scan bar code to reveal online menu. Order, pay and wait. . This doesnt stop them asking how big a tip you would like to leave for ordering your food. Perhaps foolishly, I started with mussels. Italians like seafood. Surely they'd b e good. Nope. Dry, shrivelled and possibly several generations had passed since they had seen the sea. After a couple, I decided this was probably unwise and turned to the main course. Lasagne. I am used to lasagne being served at volcanic temperatures, fresh from the oven. This was lukewarm, recently from the microwave. A few crunchy bits, not from caramalisation in the oven, more over zapping in the microwave. In fairness, it was tasty, but I was very hungry. Wine was OK. Sanpellogrino only came in flavored varieties and staff were friendly if seemingly a little embarrassed. Possibly due to the dire things being done to their cuisine. Suffice to say won't be back. For such a busy airport, surely they can do better than this. Niot holding my breath.

For £6.95 a pint I expect a full pint.. I know its an airport so expect high prices but always leaves something to be desired still.

During the waiting time to catch the flight to london, i ordered pizza, garlic bread & rose wine from this restaurant, i really enjoyed the meal and was full even during dinner

Be aware to order breakfast you have to scan a QR code access the website then plod through a clunky menu last thing you need when stressed about travelling not relaxing staff are friendly and there are lots of them so why not let them take orders?

All I have to say in this review is that this sausage on bloomer bread cost £6.50! I don't have a photo of the bacon on bloomer bread but it was similar and also £6.50! They both tasted decent but ridiculously expensive.....even though it's expected at an airport, I think this is a new level of extortion.

Staff are nice (even though they were all having a big row when I was there). Food is awful. So so bad. Tasted of freezer burn. And its so expensive. Try KFC around the corner or get a meal deal in Boots.

Dreadful. Packed in like cattle. The worse coffee I've ever had. Espresso that was essentially a shot of cheap instant coffee. Nearly 9 quid for a ciabatta that wouldn't get passed a school dinner lady. 1.5 of the smallest sausages I've ever seen. We asked for a refund as there are loads of reviews about their awful coffee. The refund process was an epic. Filing in forms and needing card details...

Sticky dirty tables. Ordered 4x toasted croissants. Only two arrived. When we asked for the other two then those arrive after another 15min - half toasted half cold…

It's a busy airport restaurant, obviously, so not a romantic hideaway tucked down a sleepy Italian alleyway. That said, the serving ladies were the most cheerful bunch of waiting staff I have had the pleasure of meeting in a long while. Friendly, smiley and efficient. The food was good and arrived quickly. Great experience, thank you!

A very sad place, no breakfast menu after 10:30 only pizza and pasta left. Plus you queue for 20m with only 10 people in the queue. Order is only via QR code. I walked out as there was a 30 minute wait once you've ordered and paid on your phone.

Pizza was good. Staff seemed nice but why operate a restaurant with staff and insist on ordering on an app ? Why ask for a tip when paying before the meal has arrived ? There is no service. Might as well be mcdonald’s who also do table service. Rubbish.

You have to wait to be seated at this place . We were asked were we ok to order from a QR code before being seated and were we paying by card . Not an issue . The issue was the very limited menu that the QR code presented and the vastness of fruit flies that were very prominent around the bar area and surrounding tables , to the extent that you could see them all sat on the green back ground . Very off putting and not great to eat with them swarming around . I did move from my original table to try and escape them . Will check next time I’m in T3 before using 👎 . I ordered lasagne that came without the rocket stated on the menu but really couldn’t be arsed complaining again and wanted to leave .

I have to admit, the food here didn't quite live up to the high expectations. I opted for the recommended prawn pasta, but it turned out to be surprisingly bland, despite the menu's enticing description of a "creamy, garlicky, and chili-infused" dish. The portion size, unfortunately, was also on the smaller side, leaving me unable to finish the meal. That being said, the one shining aspect of this place is undoubtedly the incredibly friendly staff. They go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and comfortable, even during busy times, and for that, they definitely deserve kudos.

Flies, so many flies just everywhere. Had breakfast, it wasn’t great food was sub par. Like a local cafe but with less flavour. The seats are all tired and the decor is cheap. Service was great however really kind people who were really quick and attentive. Why can’t Manchester airport have nice restaurants?

Awful breakfast - avoid! Bacon resembled leather, everything dry and overcooked. Cup of tea was ok, but you can’t really go wrong with that can you. Complained but was still charged best part of £20.

If you want a Tesco Frozen meal for £16 this is the place for you! Guaranteed to leave hungry and incredibly small portions. The pizzas are doughy and cheap with budget toppings. Overall, AVOID!!!! Go over to Boots or W.H.Smiths and buy a £4.99 Meal Deal! PS: The £7 per pint or £9 per wine takes the sting out....not!!

This place charges 15 pounds for a breakfast that doesn’t even come with toast. The place is very tired and dirty looking with sticky tables. Manchester Airport you must do better. There are no excuses.

Another lazy establishment that wants you to do their job for them and scan a qr code and order your own food I said no and they brought me an actual menu and took the order at the table. Service was slow and looking round, larger tables were getting their orders in dribs and drabs. The porridge was decent and the green tea fine. Say no to places that want you to self-service. I should have walked out but T3 at Manchester Airport is massively lacking in good places to eat with good table service.

Avoid this place if you're into coffee. Stopped there for breakfast. A point for serving a porridge, although it was pretty average and microwaved. But you can't imagine the worst coffee! Flat white was just watery substance with a trace of coffee waste and lots of milk. And they call it Italian restaurant 🤬

servers are slow dragging their feet working like a slowth. There are too many of them and it’s still inneficient. I ordered a soup and a salad 20 minutos ago and I didn’t get anything yet. I think they need more people at the kitchen and less slowths.

It took 40 minutes after being seated to be seen to, baring in mind it was not busy. After our order being taken it took 30 mins for our food to come out with people being seated after us getting served their food first. Carbonara...

We came in for breakfast, I ordered yogurt and a croissants, my partner ordered scrambled egg on toast. My yogurt and croissants came in and no scrambled egg, eventually called the waitress as the table next to us that had just came in had their scrambled eggs delivered and nothing for us. Said it was a mistake and they brought some scrambled on toast , only in my partners 2 toast there was less egg that in each of the toast in the table next to us. So not only got the toast later also terrible amount. What a way to repair a mistake.

This was a great experience from being greeted at the entrance and shown to our seats, everybody was so friendly. We had a margherita pizza and poretti lager both really tasty. First visit but would definitely go again.

I was very pleasantly surprised with the level of service and quality of food at this restaurant in T3 of Manchester airport. All of the staff are excellent but a special shout out to Isabelle who was my server. Well done to everyone involved.

Was für ein Chaos! Gäste werden ineffizient platziert: zwei Personen an Vierertischen, für vier Personen ist dann nichts mehr frei; Tische dürfen nicht zusammengeschoben werden. Die Folge: lange Schlangen… Salat lieblos: einfach Rucola ohne Dressing, Schinken drauf statt der Bresaola von der Karte. Warum das Beilagen-Brot nach Knoblauch schmeckt? Weil die Kellnerin vorher Knoblauch angefasst hatte (ihre Worte). Da kann man ja nur froh sein, dass sie vorher keinen Ölwechsel am Auto gemacht hat oder auf der Toilette war… Soviel jedenfalls zum Thema Hygiene!

I trust that the google review is more reliable as the one posted on the Restaurant Guru suddenly disappeared from the opinions list. The worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. The review applies to a meal on the 17/05/2023. I am not going to mention the poor service from staff on the shift that evening as it would not cause any harm to anyone. However, Ravioli with salmon and catfish can. I do not appear to have a sensitive stomach, but approx 6 hours after meal I suffered from extreme food poisoning, which spoiled the first few days of my holiday. Many years ago I worked in hospitality, and I can only suspect that food safety standards are not being met with storing fish. I do not tend to write reviews, but I feel the meal is dangerous and either should be removed from the menu or the restaurant storage and or handling processes checked and improved. Maggie

This is my first ever review. I had a spag Bol and my partner something similar. Pasta was rubbery and food just unpleasant and appeared cheap ingredients. My meal had cold spots and my partners had to go back as only Luke warm and cold. The waitress was very good. The worst restaurant food I can recall ever experiencing. It had to be bad for me to be angry enough to write a review.

It was really bad, reviews had not lied. Penne carbonara is very far a way than you expect and it costs 14 £. I think egg yolk was even not included.

Service from Leone and Madison was excellent! Very friendly and helpful. All other staff also friendly and helpful. Would be great if there was an option for cashless tipping for servers.

Better than it needs to be. We really enjoyed our pre flight pizza at Trattoria Milano. As most customers are one time visits I did not expect this to be so good. Clean, fast service, delicious food, wonderful staff. I recommend this restaurant.

Big shout out to Sarah who served every single person with a big smile and a friendly hello. Her jolliness put a smile on my face while I was waiting for my flight back to Copenhagen. The bruschetta was good too ;)

Even after sending a watery weak Americano tasting espresso back they just sent out exactly the same again. How can you get it so wrong? It’s an Italian restaurant. Pretty much the worst espresso I’ve ever had. Some accolade but they come often in terminal 3 at Manchester Airport.

Really disappointed. Couldn't get breakfast at 11:30, but it wasn't such a big issue until I've seen how bad food is. Staff were lovely and trying their best, but food definitely not worth money. Spend £17 for bottle of water and microwaved, bland salmon pasta. No taste, not even hot, definitely not fresh. Better was go to wsmith or Costa, and get a snack or just wait for the flight and eat at your destination. Another good thing besides staff is that you can order through phone

Gave my husband food poisoning just before our holiday. I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 star as the staff were really lovely. But, holiday ruined.
