I have been several times before , but this was out first visit for several months, sorry to say that it was not a good visit, after we ordered food and took our seats the tables did not seem clean and very sticky, we moved tables but they were all of a similar standard, we had a very long wait for our food I appreciate there were other customers but 40 mins for a breakfast!! We did ask how long it would be but the staff seemed totally uninterested, when it did turn up it was luke warm , we were so hungry we ate what we could and left

Visited here on a Wednesday morning at 10:30 restaurant was quite busy. Table looked clean but was sticky. Three staff members standing behind the counter having a chat didn’t acknowledge us until I walked up to the counter to order our breakfast. We both went for the Norton road breakfast. After about a twenty minute wait which isn’t too bad considering they were busy, our breakfast came out and was presented well and to be honest was very tasty, I’ve had a lot worse but had better as well. I would’ve given a 4 but the staff just didn’t seem to want to be there and were making it quite obvious, their body language, the way they were talking to people. We weren’t asked once if the food was ok. Staff need to be sat down and asked if they actually want to be there and if they do then some customer service training is needed.

Popped in while passing, I had a mighty breakfast, it was cooked beautifully ( no grease on the plate ) the cafe was clean and the staff were lovely will definitely visit again soon

Great breakfast value for money, actually one of the best in swansea if not the best, nice staff nice environment. Open every morning atc9am apart from Mondays non holiday times.

Wanted to find a dog friendly restaurant that would be good to my dog, however it turns out they one of only a couple of restaurants in the mumbles that are not dog friendly, turns out most other restaurants near by would like the business of dog owners

I ordered bacon, beans & chips. I added extra bacon as you would only be given one rasher apparently.. My partner ordered Welsh breakfast. I had a 'large' tea which was not very 'large'! My partner had coffee. We both had to share a small jar of milk.. My meal came first and I was astounded to see the baked beans poured all over the chips, making them totally soggy! My partners food came. After 5mins waiting my partner had to go up and ask for his extra mushrooms that he had paid for! We were not offered any sauces and I had to go and ask for serviettes which the young girl had to go searching for.. At this point my partner said he won't be returning here.. but after eating his bacon & mushrooms, which he really enjoyed, he said he may give it a try again.. I agreed. The bacon was lovely and cooked just as we liked it. The service wasn't great and we were nit asked if everything was OK! Also overpriced for what we had tbh!

This place has the best breakfast about, they need to work out times.....a friday being told 45 minutes for a breakfast....they should say only a few at a certain time!! Some people cant eat because of the time your to wait.

Nice brekkie, but sausages could be better and the eggs are minuscule. Staff on duty didn't seem to understand what a proper macchiato is although their second attempt looked slightly better but still was just a milky coffee with a bit of froth on top, my Dutch friend didn't want to make a fuss again so begrudgingly accepted it. It was a very busy Monday and staff were overwhelmed, it seemed. As a result one meal for our table was missed and we had to ask for it. The waitress was good though and brought it fairly promptly after we pointed it out to her.

The carpets were filthy into the toilets. A sticky table that hadn’t been wiped, with a used ketchup packet in with the sugars. An ant on the table leg with food remains below. Bored looking and disinterested staff just leaning around. The food was ok but I wasn’t sure about eating it after what I’d seen. I’ll spend my £20 somewhere else if we ever come to Wales again, which I doubt.

Trams is probably the best value breakfast in the Mumbles area and is available all day. With a variety of offerings of different sizes, our breakfast came promptly and was well cooked It's simple but good and excellent value for money to set you up for the day

Terrible despite google stating 3pm close we arrived at 2pm and the staff shouted at us that they were closed- two female staff really rude and clearly lying when I challenged them on it

Very rude staff and absolutely no understanding of / accommodation for dietary restrictions. Such a shame because we came here every day of our holiday last summer, but after today's experience I won't be back. Only good thing was the toasted tea cake, which my daughter enjoyed even though it was slightly burnt.

Never again, my mum had the cod and chips, fish was so over cooked and rock hard, the fish inside the rock hard batter was dry as sand paper. When my mum complained they weren’t interested . Not even an apology . I would not recommend to anyone .

I can't praise this place enough. We were a large group of golfers and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. The food was great and I even tried the lavabread! Thanks to Ellie and the team.

A family lunch for 6 turned very sour when there was an issue with the order - we had ordered all breakfasts with scrambled eggs but one came out with fried egg. After politely explaining it should be scrambled egg, the lady proceeded to challenge us that the ticket stated fried egg. She came back again to disagree with us telling us the guy was adamant he had done it right. She rudely walked off and the rest of us ate our meals expecting the other breakfast to come out. It never came so we asked for a refund only for that to start to be questioned. All this time, we could hear comments being made behind the counter about the eggs as if it was the biggest issue in the world, speaking in a derogatory way about us as the customers. We are really frustrated as what should have been a simple error/correction was made to be such a problem. It was rude, hostile and totally unnecessary. We‘ll never return - it was upsetting and die-respectful.

Long wait for our food but only because it was busy. The breakfast was nice, hot, tasty. Staff were pleasant.

Went to teams when it wasn't busy with my partner. There was young boy serving behind the counter which firstly was off putting as he was dressed in a tracksuit, secondly he didn't seem interested at all in service just sat there playing on his phone. He got the order wrong leaving items out when I tried to correct the issue he did not want to accept any responsibility at all just shook his head. Really put me.off ever coming here again. The girl who worked there who has served us before was great however this young man totally let the place down.

Went to Trams on a Saturday morning for breakfast. Ordered 2 Welsh breakfasts that took 45 mins to arrive ( no explanation or apology). The bacon was good, the rest was mediocre at best. The laverbread was gritty and not pleasant. For information!

I used to really enjoy this place a month or two ago but i dont really know. The chips have been lacking as of late.The ham is subpar.There maybe some other meals taht are still good but for now my heart lies in the chambers...

Staff friendly but doesn’t make up for tinned tomatoes, cheap white sliced and I didn’t think you could still get sausages that bad. Coffee average, bacon ok. Not worth the calories!

Probably best place in swansea for all different size breakfast, good quality, nice staff, nice owners, never had a bad experience allways fantastic, well.worth a visit especially if your in mumbles.

Visited twice in two days over a weekend. For the prices charged I belive this presented good value for money. Food was tasty, hot and delivered quickly.

Had a great veggie breakfast here well cooked and plenty of it. Friendly young staff. My wife had cheese on toast with a very generous amount of cheese. Coffee was great and everything reasonably priced. Would recommend.

Very big breakfast, good ingredients, very tasty, extremely filling and best of all excellent value for money. All cooked to order, allowed to change some of the items on the breakfast to suit. No fuss, friendly service.

Perfect for big groups! We easily found a big table and comfy chairs in the window, were rapidly attended to and our orders taken almost before we had sat down! One of our number is diabetic and was having a hypo and he had piping...

Popped in for breakfast, seated quickly by friendly staff. However, the restaurant smelled quite strongly of deep fried oil which I found off-putting. When the breakfast came it was very generous but, for me, too salty, the egg was hard, and overall of mediocre quality

staff lovely- food awful...cheap ham and cheapest of cheap bread.... just yuck :( you need to up your game, 3 slices of ham in a sandwich, as it was very poor quality, one slice of good ham would have sufficed. cheap, poor quality product.

We visit this cafe often as a couple and with our family and grandchildren. The staff are always extremely pleasant and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast choice is brilliant and also we have had several lunches there and every meal is good. Would highly recommend

We called into Trams in Mumbles for breakfast on a Sunday. Breakfast as always was so satisfying. Very tasty, hot, generous portion sizes. A small dish of sauteed potatoes, easily enough for two to share was only 90p more. There is a large selection to choose from, including my husband's favourite Welsh breakfast with cockles and laverbread. Tomatoes are large tinned tomatoes, which we both prefer. And the staff are very welcoming. It is very popular but tables do free up quickly.

Great value breakfast whichever you choose, staff are accommodating for those who wish to swap one or two items. Quick service and all in group were served promptly.

Visited TRAMS on bank holiday Sunday in attempt to ease a hangover. Ordered a Mighty Breakfast and how mighty it was. Tremendous value and quality cooking. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly. Will definitely be going there again.

Always enjoy the food and the staff are really warm and friendly and always make you welcome I always have the Welsh breakfast and I enjoy it every time my daughter and husband always get the mighty breakfast we are always happy with the service. Brilliant cafe to visit with kids and adults alike. In the heart of Mumbles so very convenient. Really reasonably priced, yummy hot food, all the breakfast favourites. Staff are so lovely, would highly recommend.

So almost a tin of beans, or tomatoes nearly a loaf of bread, a packet of mushrooms, a pack of bacon and sausages hash browns eggs etc and I was stuffed, my wife had a smaller portion and coffee too.

We go to Trams almost every Sunday for their delicious breakfast. Although we pass a few eateries on the way, the drive to Mumbles is well worth it. Hot, fresh food, a lovely location and the staff (especially the two young ladies) on a Sunday, couldn't be more helpful.

My wife and I were walking along the prom at Mumbles on 28th December and saw their A frame advertising sign so decided to go there for lunch.

Trams in Mumbles is the perfect place if you are looking for an excellent choice of breakfasts. Whether you are looking for just a lite bite, or a good all day breakfast. All cooked fresh for you, with minimal fuss.

Im from the Swansea area, don’t often think to venture down to that neck of the woods for a brekky but I thought I’d give it a shot as people from the area had told me good things. After a reasonably long drive the decor was pleasing however when ordering my food I noticed an espresso machine so asked whether a flat white was available on the menu to which they said was. When presented to me it was a poor quality white coffee. After a long wait for my food the waitress dropped my food off and said “help yourself to cutlery” instead of bringing it with the food or before. When the food finally arrived the toast was cold and apart from the bacon the rest of the items were poor overall. Finally after leaving feeling disappointed I noticed the 3 star hygiene rating. Wouldn’t recommend.

Visited here today with my mam and my little girl for a treat and it absolutely was a treat! We had a lovely warm welcome from both the girls that were working and even though my mam had every request going (very hot breakfast, drinks to be served with food, eggs not runny not hard)!! The waitress was very patient, polite and extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Both myself and my mam ordered the biggest breakfast and everything was cooked perfectly. The place itself is lovely and clean and cosy. We will definitely be returning here... maybe even next week! Fantastic place

Been here loads of times. Love the Norton road breakfast which is the medium sized cooked breakfast. Comes with coffee or tea or orange juice before 11am. The breakfast is always very tasty and the staff are always friendly and can’t do enough for you. I’ve also noticed here that when somebody leaves after they finish breakfast one of the staff are immediately on the case of cleaning the tables down, keep up the good work guys.

Good, honest unpretentious food, staff friendly and helpful, the sandwiches are always good value, very well filled, if you're looking for value for money this is where you should go.

8 of us went to TRAMS for breakfast this morning and we were all extremely impressed with the service we received. The value of the food on offer, together with its quality and quantity, was superb with particular mention having to be given to the laver bread and cockles dish. The premises was also very clean which was an added bonus.

Mwmbwls on a sunny morning is a splendid place to find yourself in search of some breakfast; and Trams is a splendid little cafe in which to find the breakfast itself. Friendly staff, quick service, pleasant surroundings, decent food at a reasonable price. All boxes ticked.

After reviewing TripAdvisor after a short walk upto the park we found the Tram Cafe, on entering the man behind the counter said "You'll enjoy your meal" well that's exactly right, friendly staff and good value meals (2 for £12 specials), recommend to everyone.

Good value, fast and efficient service, excellent menu choices and child friendly. Went here with a mixed group of 11. The staff were happy to reorganize the tables to suit our larger party and the children were made to feel very comfortable. A good value choice for Mumbles and we will definitely revisit!

We popped into trams for a spot of lunch after shopping in mumbles. The service was wonderful and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. They were so helpful and nothing seemed to be too much trouble even when our over-tired 3 year old was being particularly awkward. The food was well cooked, portions were good and prices were very reasonable. Our 7 year old thought the chicken nuggets, chips and beans 'was lovely' which is a high accolade indeed. I would definitely come back with the kids again.

Just visited Trams for lunch. Lovely friendly place with lots of tables. Being a party with ages from 64 to 3 it catered for us all. Great portions and lovely home cooked food. My daughter waited 17 years to come back remembering it from uni days !! New venue but quality and quantity just as she remembered !!Def worth a visit. Thanks a lot

Visited twice during our stay. The traditional Welsh breakfast was lovely. Cockles & lavabread should be on every menu it's delicious. Really good bacon and sausage as well. We all really enjoyed it. Would highly recommend and visit again.

Only popped in by chance as we passed but what a shock it was inside. Excellent setting with a bustling atmosphere. Staff were curtious and very helpful. Will be venturing there in the near future for a bite to eat.

Fantastic For the family and the kids great food happy days can't fault the place but I will say if you got a little baby just remember it's only a cafe it's not Debenhams it's not at Asda but it's not Tesco's it's trams it's a cafe for breakfast and it's fantastic thank you

Visited Trams Diner for breakfast with my partner as I was keen to try a proper Welsh breakfast whilst on holiday & Trams offering could not be faulted! Excellent ingredients (also with my partner's veggie breakfast), nice surroundings & pleasant staff. Will definitely be making a return visit before heading home on Friday! :-)

We visited here on Saturday morning because we fancied a full English breakfast. We have visited a lot before and I can never get over how well priced the cafe is! You won't get a cheaper breakfast around. And I must say the staff there are absolutely wonderful and friendly! We will always go back when in need of a brekkie!

We called in here as were out for a walk along the seafront. We were immediately impressed with the cleanliness and welcome we got. Honest down to earth food - filled our hungry tums and the service was wonderful. I am not surprised that this cafe gets full on some days as it must be very popular.

Totally disgusted. The manager is completely rude! Caters for children but has no child changing facilities so I changed my baby’s nappy in her pushchair as there were no other dinners near us the manager told me to change her in the toilet with baby in my lap!! And then told me I wasn’t welcome back in his cafe when I told him if he is catering for children then they should have a baby changing station in the toilets. Not only did he tell me I wasn’t welcome back but actually put is hands on the table and lent over me whilst I was breastfeeding my baby and screamed ur not welcome. Absolute disgrace. It was totally intimidating my baby is 4months old. Will never go back there, I felt embarrassed and intimidated

We visited as our normal stop Verdis had queues out of the door. We had one tea, two cans of pop, ham egg and chips, sausage egg and chips and 1/2 pound burger. The food was average neither of the eggs were cooked properly and the chips were dry. It wasn't until we had left when we realised we had been overcharged. I won't be going back there and won't be recommending other than if you do go check your bill.

Called in trams café on Sunday afternoon after a walk on mumbles seafront called in for a nice hot cuppa and sandwiches and a toasted tea cake staff were very busy didn't have to wait long as it was packed .

This is a great place for breakfast. Order at counter and pick and choose items to your preference. All tasted good and the price was right.

Dropped in on a rainy day looking for lunch. Quick service from friendly staff. We both had a steak pie and chips which was delicious with a cup of tea. Good price too!

Love their breakfasts, with a big mug of tea. Not at all greasy and just delicious and just the right size for me.

Taken to breakfast here by friends and what a great place. This is definitely going to be a regular haunt. A great selection and situated right on the seafront in Mumbles. Staff very welcoming and friendly and food hot, delicious and served quickly. Great value for money with good size portions. Lovely treat to start a weekend. (There is a vegetarian selection too.)

Our very mixed age family of 11 were warmly welcomed, high chairs easily available. Service was great. A great menu, huge range of food and drink, and special orders served up with a smile. A jug of water and glasses given straight away. Swift service but we were not rushed, a lovely family breakfast.

Staff were pleasant. Food came quickly. I asked for a variation on their menu for my daughter and they were happy to do it. Crayons and colouring books to help keep attention while the food is coming. Good range of breakfasts, clean and well presented.

Went out for breakfast with my partner after a lovely weekend in Swansea. Staff were unfriendly and disinterested on arrival. Actually felt we were at some family gathering, and invading on their space,not at a cafe paying for service!Food was very standard, cheap produce (which if reflected in price would be expected) won't be heading to this cafe, next time I am in Swansea

For a decent step-up-from-a-greasy-spoon all-day breakfast, there's Trams, then there's everywhere else that does it a bit like Trams closer to Swansea centre. But isn't Trams.No fuss, decent portions, no scary 'I hope the bacon rind isn't undercooked and reminiscent of a slug' moments, just a gut-filling colon-hammering bloody good Full English and a brew. Cheap too.Nowt to complain about here. If you're in Mumbles and just 'want some food'... this is a decent afternoon choice. However, if you're in Mumbles with a hangover, or need the calories to get you through a day on the beach with a menagerie of screaming offspring... there IS no other choice.
