Traks Steak & Grill in Southend-on-Sea

So attended this restaurant as a suprise from my other half. I ordered the rump steak with sweet potato fries, salad, coleslaw, and the broccoli and stilton. The steak was amazing i havent had a steak like this in ages. I love the fact you basically cook it yourself on the lava stone i like my steak still mooing so this was perfect for me. The sides where great and the pudding was okay. I have already recommended and will time and time again. I will be returning for sure. Staff where very welcoming as well. Thumbs up from me

My husband and I went for a Saturday night meal. We both went for steak which you cook yourself on a lava stone. The meat was excellant quality and the peppercorn sauce was very nice. Service was friendly and wine was nice. I also thought it was handy that you could also order from the Italian menu (from the restaurant next door). Will be back

The food was delicious, the staff were lovely I will definitely be eating here again

When I ask for the chicken burger, I expect there to be some filling than just some slithers of chicken in a bun. Pretty poor and my 5 year old daughter could dish up somthing better than this

Awesome steak on the stone. Small place but well worth a visit. We went before a show and got a taxi to cliffs.

After reading reviews thought would give a try. Meat was lovely, but nowhere to put the steak so it carries on cooking. I like mine rare. Before our steaks arrived smoke alarms were going off. We went with a chilli marinade, but the fumes made everyone cough. It was so bad my girlfriend spent the night coughing up blood from the fumes inhaled. The couple next to us left their steak due to the fumes. The staff told us we'd used too much oil , so clearly held us responsible for the problems. Serving steak on the stone is a great idea, but would recommend a normal plate with chips and salad on it so can put the steak on once cooked to put the steak on when it's cooked.

Nice to have a fantastic steak restaurant locally. Staff were really friendly and the food great. Highly recommended the steak on hot lava stones. A unique and novel way to have your steak (at least something I’ve never had before). It comes out blue on a 400c stone allowing you to cook it to your liking. Recommend going for sure. We’ll be back next time to try the burgers with the kids.

Went with friends on a rare night out. Steaks were very good and rated highly. Burgers were also very good. Chips were yummy.Good range of puddings with the cheesecake being a particularly good example.There’s a nice atmosphere and water was refilled when asked.Only loses a star for a mix up over the order, the fact we weren’t offered tea or coffee and for keeping the change from our payment rather than offering it back.

On the 6.4.19 my husband and I were looking forward to our evening out to celebrate our anniversary. Unfortunately, part way through my meal, I noticed that the bottom chicken fillet in my burger was raw! We informed a member of staff immediately, who apologised and swiftly removed the dish. I was then informed by a member of staff (who I believed to be the manager) that catering chicken is washed clean and therefore I was not at risk. I was then given a another burger which I politely declined and the cost of my dish was removed from the bill. It has taken a while for me to post this review as we have had many enjoyable meals at both Traks and the Italian restaurant next door and I am hoping this was an isolated incident. However, I feel that the seriousness of the incident was played down and the matter was not dealt with appropriately.

Superb Steaks, served with the best crispy chips and Salad, I always add a portion of coleslaw. Then there’s the cauliflower with prawns, spinach and broccoli with cheese. Yummy! The wine menu has a good selection of wines too. For dessert mines a Creme brûlée’ and my family chose Tiramisu.A great little restaurant with a great atmosphere.Oh and right next door is the Pizza Restaurant, great for the kids, while mum and dad have a cheeky tipple.

My boyfriend and I often go to Traks at least once a month, because the steak is simply divine. It is brought out on a 400 degree slate, and you cook it to your liking. We just cannot get enough of it!All of the staff are also wonderful & they know and recognise us now. The starters are also very tasty - we usually go for the mozzarella sticks & humous and pitta. If you want the most amazing steak ever, then go to Traks. You won't be disappointed.

Have to say this is my fav Restaurant in TB.Great Steaks, Great wine, AMAZING chicken wings. all at great prices, if you haven't been you should go and enjoy!!

Went to this restaurant for my stepdaughter birthday with my Mother in law as well, had the fillet steak on lava rock absolutely beautiful it comes out sizzling and you cook it to your liking, lovely staff and a cocktail for Hayley’s Birthday will definitely be returning

Visited Track last night,I walked in an expected to see the Station Master.Historic reminders of the old station masters house.Friendly staff,quick service and the food was very good.The steak on the hot place an ideal way to cook your own steak.Dont sit by the door on a windy night.The bill had a service charge attached,before paying I asked a member of staff where the service charge goes,she assured me the Manager shares with the staff at the end of the night.Otherwise I would have refused paying it.Overall a good eperience and would return for they lovely steak.

We celebrated my son’s 1st birthday here, at the Tratoria Verde Italian side of the restaurant, and they could not have been more attentive. They are very family oriented, and recognised us from our previous visits. The food is second to none, and the service is genuine and warm. Have just visited Tracks this time, and we were recognised and greeted with warm handshakes and kisses, and nothing is too much trouble. My baby son is spoiled rotten and adores the staff, as do we. This is a hidden gem of a restaurant, there aren’t enough ratings. An absolute must. We are firm regulars from now on :)

My one year old grandson ‘treated’ me to lunch at Traks. We hav3 visited Trattoria Verde, to which it is joined a number of times and never been disappointed and we weren’t with Traks either. We were remembered from our previous visits and greeted warmly. My grandson’s generous child’s meal was delivered very quickly, satisfying a toddler who gets hangry if he has to wait. We went for the burgers which were excellent and very filling. Going to keep coming back to both a Traks and Trattoria Verde.

For some reason, we were expecting a down 'n dirty steakhouse but what we got was an elegant dining experience. First off, we were in a middle room with a bar and cozy fireplace, nice for a rainy winter's day. There were 4 cuts of meat so we had one of each. I think my husband got the filet and I got the rump. Both were excellent. The sirloin was leaner, still flavorful but not as tender. The steaks were prepared on a lava stone which meant that we could leave them on for as long as we needed to get to our desired "doneness". i like mine medium rare, so I took mine off after a few minutes, being sure to sear each side as I sliced. The steaks were served with a nice mushroom sauce on the side. We also paired it with an order of grilled mushrooms which were a huge hit with the kids.

Best steak around, served on lava stones with great fat steak chips. Have been here many times and will be coming again soon!

We popped in recently - both had the fillet cooked on the lava stone. Was fab! Decent bottle of red as well. Will be back.

Do like a good steak, 1 hour to London is worth it for a good one. Tracks has opened as part of the Italian restaurant by Thorpe Bay Station & very good. I have dinned there over six times over the last few months & every time very good. They serve a fillet on hot stone, similar to Steak & Co. Not over keen on the hot stone, but now a fan of it. Also chips, coleslaw & pepper corn source is very good too. Hard not to give a really good review to these guys, well done! Simply a hidden gem for anybody who likes steak & saves a hour on the train to London. What’s not to like, time to make the lost of it.

Lovely intimate atmosphere bettered only by the food. Had a very enjoyable evening with friends and am looking forward to returning

I have been to this little restaurant several times, with friends, family and as a couple. We really like this place.

This was our third visit here. The steak is served on a hot stone so you can cook it to your desired taste. We has fillet steak,which melted in our mouth, with chips, coleslaw and tomatoes. Excellent meal and value for money

went to traxs for my birthday ,as i walked in you where overcome buy the smell of every body cooking there own steak on on hot stone . the steak was lovely the service was great . just need a bit more extractors in there . but defiantly would go back .
