Some of the past reviews are not about the Grand Cafe but about the coffee place next door. Rather confusing. Anyway, I am reviewing the TOZI Grand Cafe. Four of us went there for lunch following a Hot Dinners offer of 30% off food and drink. We shared olives, octopus, focaccia and prosciutto di San Daniele to start with. Two of us had the sea bream and risotto and pappardelle with boar for the other two. Between us we shared the pistachio tiramisu (one of the best I had for a long time) and the panna cotta. A bottle of Molino A Vento Fiano and double espressos - a total of £165 including service. Excellent value for the quality of the food. The service was excellent and the ambiance very pleasant indeed.

Went to TOZI at Art ‘Otel with two business colleagues - the window tables are a strange teardrop shape so if yr a larger person it’s difficult - the tables themselves are a dark colour and look dirty and stained - our coffee was Luke warm and service overall was poor - extremely difficult to get a servers attention even to get the bill - really expected something better

We arrived group of 8 at 9.15 with a reservation on a Saturday night to the staff telling us the kitchen was gong to close and we had to place our orders immediately Now this is a Saturday in London … what is the point of a large central London restaurant closing their kitchens so early Last time I will listen to Zola , he shoudl stick to football We were rushed , they wanted us out as quickly a possible . Last time I will go there thank you very much , spend my money where i am wanted . Sure there are plenty of places where I could spend 400 quid and not be hurried

Our Gang of Three - roaming Photographers - were in need of a light Lunch. By chance we fell upon this unusual but delightful Grand Cafe. Space is tight, but worth loitering for a Table. There is an adjacent Restaurant and unique Art'Otel. We all enjoyed a well loaded Sandwich in a generous offering of two sections of Baguette. Paid with excellent Coffees. Wonderful service from a delightfully typical French Maitre'd. A real character, and his staff. Do check it out. Hayling Seagoon

Had a lovely breakfast at Tozi, the atmosphere is so relaxed and the perfect place to go to start your morning. The decor is arty and gives off the feeling of a French cafe, with pastries and fresh juices lining the counter. Staff were super attentive and friendly, and I’ll definitely come back here, maybe to try food later in the day next time too.

MOUSE ALERT. I’m absolutely livid with this place. Went for dinner last week and a mouse was running around the floor during dinner. The worst part is when I raised it with the staff they knew about it and did nothing. It was still operating for dinner later that night and for breakfast the next morning. What an absolute shambles of a place! A disgrace!

Don’t think I want to go anywhere for lunch in the whole of Battersea power station. I came for the Tozi cafe next door Tozi grand cafe. The aubergine parmigiana focaccia was absolutely incredible I almost have no words. Creamy burrata, seasoned aubergine, the most delicious tomato sauce in some of the best focaccia I’ve ever had. Coffee was also excellent. Prices about average and service great. Cannot recommend enough!

This is the younger sibling of the more-established Tozi in Victoria, which I love. Sadly it still has much growing up to do. The "Grand" cafe (not really) is an unprepossessing space inside the Battersea Power Station hotel and, like many hotel restaurants, lacks atmosphere and feels somehow transitory, as hotel guests come and go, often with impatient young children in tow. That hardly makes for a calming atmosphere. The food is so-so, with some dishes replicating those of the older Tozi but with some different items. When it comes (we had a lengthy wait for ours) it is perfectly well executed but a bit uninspiring. The pasta dishes - ravioli with burrata and truffle and pappardelle with wild boar ragu' were very good however. There is a lack of Italian staff, with the energy they usually provide although the manager is Italian and kindly gave us complimentary glasses of wine to make up for the delay - a nice touch. We were here before going on to the theatre over the river and I guess if you want a quick supper or a recharge after shopping in the power station, Tozi will do the job but I wouldn't make it a destination restaurant. It does have a small bar but, again, nothing special. Price for four, including a pre-dinner drink, a good number of shared dishes and a lower end bottle of wine was £220 including service, which was just about fair. Fair - that's how id describe the whole experience.

Staying at The Art Otel for two nights. The Tozi Grand Cafe for breakfast had an exceptional choice / menu. Tozi Breakfast Offering set us up for the day ahead of a busy schedule sight seeing. A special mention for waitress called Lydia who provided an exceptional and professional customer service. Lydia greeted us each day for breakfast with an attentive and courteous manner with a welcome like meeting up with a friend. Orders were taken and efficiently served. Recommend the Chocolate Croissant which was most delicious.

Having taken our guest for Afternoon Tea in previous years to the Ritz and the Mandarin Oriental, we thought she might enjoy what sounded like an interesting take on it in the buzzy surroundings of Battersea Power Station. We weren’t blown away by the surroundings. The staff were pleasant enough, but the “Tea” was just appalling. The English Breakfast tea was so weak we sent it back. The savoury part of the “Tea”. (on wobbly cake plates) comprised chunks of blue cheese and cream cheese, a blanket of mortadella (mortadella????), draped over a thin slice of Parma Ham, aubergine, pepper and onion focaccia, some chutney and some almost transparent bits of something I guess was supposed to be flatbread. Aghast at most of this, we ate some of the pastries. The pistachio Christmas tree was lovely, everything else was just sickly. The loos were a challenge. Three doors in a row, with puzzling signage. Made more difficult by the fact that half the “lady” on the “Ladies” door had actually fallen off which rendered the experience - well - just irritating. For just under £120 we felt ripped off. And hungry enough for us to join our family to polish off an excellent South Indian meal from Vijaya Krishna in Tooting about 3 hours later - half the price of our tea to feed 5 people!

This was my first and sadly my last visit to Tozi Grand Cafe. As a local resident, and also someone who works locally, I was hoping for good things. Whilst the food was ok, the service was terrible from start to finish. As a group of five people, I was taking my elderly mother out for dinner to celebrate here birthday. On the booking form, we were asked to inform the restaurant ion any special occasion (which we did) however there was not even a mention of her birthday on the evening. I asked if teh restaurant did a "resident's discount" as most places in aBattersea Power Station do, and the waitress confirmed that they did. It then took over 30 minutes for a waitress to take our drinks order, and she then came back ten minutes later to let us know the wine we ordered was not available. When she then came back with an alternative, she didn't ask if we wanted to taste then wine and then poured the WHOLE BOTTLE of luke warm white wine into 3 glasses and then walked off with the empty bottle. Three of us ordered the Veal Milanese to then be told it was unavailable. Our booking was for 7pm on a Saturday, so bearing in mind the menu is very limited, how on earth can an Italian restaurant not have such a staple dish. We asked for one of the dishes we ordered to be served without rocket, but that was ignored, and the dish was served with rocket, which one of our party detested. At this stage we had had enough and did not take dessert or coffee. The bill was then brought over, with no resident's discount applied, and I was then told the restaurant didn't offer this for residents contrary to what I was told when I arrived. On speaking to the manager, he made zero apology for what was a complete shambles of a meal from start to finish, combined with the worst service I have experienced ever. Extremely disappointing, and a real let down for my elderly mother. We will not be visiting again.

The food and service was spot on. My husband and I were celebrating my birthday. The only thing that let the visit down was the toilets which are situated in the foyer of the hotel. They were awful. The sink surroundings were soaking and there was so much toilet tissue on the floor. I mentioned this to my husband and he said men’s toilets were the same. Such a shame because the restaurant and staff were amazing.

Dissapointing food and service. Had the set 3 course menu and all three dishes were below average. Low knowledge of wine selection and low knowledge of how to serve. Young staff, maybe training, but then you need to inform your guests that is the case. Would not recommend a visit.
