Not my first review of this place but one can't fail to appreciate the warm welcome this cosy pub offers. Great beers and food freshly prepared on a site set in beautiful surroundings. Well worth another stop off.

Excellent pub with delicious food! Found this place by accident when driving to walk around the reservoir and we were so glad we did. Beautiful inside, lovely lady who worked in the bar and yummy food! I had the special venison sausage and mash and it was delicious! We also tried the lamb cawl and steak pie which was very tasty. My other friend got the scampi which she was slightly disappointed in though. Not crispy at all. Would definitely recommend!

Went for a spin to the Towy Bridge Inn for food. Lovely peaceful location and great food. Sitting by the river with a burger and a pint was spot on. Perfect evening for eating outside.

Lovely place to relax, drink, and have a burger. Next to the water. The menu is limited, but the food is fresh and delicious, homemade. The lady who served us was kind and nice. We definitely saved this location for a feature stop.

We were camping nearby and decided to eat here on our last night. So glad we did! There was definitely a welcome in the hillside (or should I say riverside). The food was excellent and the location is superb, if a little remote. Check opening days/times before going - it isn’t an ‘open all hours’ chain pub but a proper little gem.

Lovely friendly little pub in the Cambrian Mountains. Seating out front and by the river. Very scenic. Limited menu but food is good and fresh. Only seems to be open Friday to Sunday so worth checking before you go.

We were here a week ago. We had dinner 3 times in a row and had a great time. Food was very nice, fresh and well prepared. The owners are super-friendly, Fantastic people and the location is magical.

Beautiful spot by the river Towy. Can sit outside overlooking the river or on terrace. Stopped after a walk down the riverside with 2 dogs. Ordered soft drinks and dog and human ice cream. Madagascar vanilla ice cream was delicious. Ordered a vegetable risotto to take away. It was absolutely delicious with beans, peas and broad beans. Very friendly owners. This seems to the case in this part of Wales. We'd had a car breakdown near Llandovery and everyone kept stopping check we were ok.

Our cycling club loves to stop in this idyllic spot for our coffee break: we’ve always had a fantastic, warm welcome from the friendly owners, who make the effort to have a chat if they’re not too busy. It’s tempting to stay much longer than we ought to on a warm summer day - those riverside seats and stunning surroundings invite you to have just one more beer…… A perfect place to chill!

Absolutely fantastic pub, impeccably clean and delicious, fresh, homemade cuisine. Lovely selection of drinks, and the landlady takes great price in providing the perfect glass for the drink! Great atmosphere with very attentive landlords, would highly recommend. Will definitely be going back.

We love the Towy Bridge Inn. It's a fabulous and cosy pub in a great location. Julie and Nick are excellent hosts and always greet and serve you with a smile. We've had very tasty meals here in the past too. It's a great location, just up the road from our holiday cottage. Many guests have commented on what a gem of a pub this is, and we're so lucky to have it on our doorstep. Thanks Julie and Nick!

This is the best pub for miles! If you're an outsider you are welcomed with a warm hug and great conversation. I've never felt so welcomed as an outsider. This pub is what pubs are supposed to be! Hub for locals but so inviting to hikers or day trippers. They nail it. Wish we had you in Swindon! Xxx

The most stunning pub in a beautiful location. Pubs like this just don’t exist any more- great views, good choice of Welsh ales and ciders, draught lagers, spirits and wine. Lovely home cooked menu cooked to perfection. Owners are are great team and you couldn’t ask for a warmer welcome. Simply our favourite pub ever!

This is 1 of our favourite pubs - always a great welcome from Julie & Nick. We booked with friends from our car club which saw 14 of us enjoy a great lunch on a bank holiday.

The Towy is such a wonderful quirky pub, you feel like you’re back in time and the world is better place. There is some seating inside and a large beautiful outdoor covered terrace with views over the magnificent river Towy. On a summers day you could almost be in Greece. There is also further seating right next to the river. The food is second to none, with delicious dishes, beautiful presentation and the most scrumptious desserts. A special mention, the Guinness is like drinking Velvet and you don’t find that in many places. The care and attention to detail is a real plus. It’s obvious to any visitors that the owners have gone to great lengths to make this place special It is undoubtedly a hidden gem and should be celebrated in all its glory. It is a very popular pub so a phone call to book might avoid disappointment.

We biked here from a local campsite after checking opening hours and food serving times as we know rural pubs’ times vary. It’s a lovely pub set in a beautiful location. We found the staff to be friendly and they had vegetarian options for our daughter which was great. We enjoyed a delicious meal, looking out onto the river. We will definitely be going back!!

Charming rural inn with a unique atmosphere. The owners sense of humour is infectious, and the food was great, with the homemade coleslaw worth the visit by itself. A very enjoyable lunch in a quirky and unique place. Recommended refreshment stop on the way to Llyn Brianne.

Had two meals here recently - dinner and lunch. Lovely short menu of properly cooked food - good vegetarian options - this area in Wales is very special ( saw bats and a barn owl near the pub) and much quieter than the Brecon Beacons...

We had an excellent meal here sat beside the Towy river. Excellent lady served us (believe she was also the landlady). Sadly they were only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday as they were unable to recruit more more staff, as many staff want a full-time...

A lovely pit stop after a walk around Gwenffrwd Dinas. We had a very warm welcome and found a picturesque table outside overlooking the river and bridge. Covid precautions were well organised and observed by all. The beer was fantastic (jemima pitchfork), it's becoming difficult...

I quite appreciate how Covid is putting businesses under incredible pressure and would easily have excused slow service, lack of tables, limited options or any number of things that would have been difficult for you to control. The main point of my review, and which you've chosen to completely ignore, is that you chose to log customer contact details in an unsafe manner in contravention of the GDPR. That was your choice and it was completely within your control to have kept a secure data collection, such as slips posted into a locked box or entered onto an iPad. You are quite correct I copied and pasted my comments from other reviews. I dislike anyone who takes no care of my personal information which during my holiday in Wales ran to quite a number of establishments. Why reinvent the wheel and start each comment from scratch? ORIGINAL REVIEW: Wanted my details for Track and Trace which is fair enough but expected me to write it in an open access sign-in book where customer details are visible to everyone, contravening the GDPR which, believe it or not, has not been suspended due to Covid 19. Also made me feel like a second class citizen by wearing a face mask for tourists approaching the door but not for locals

What an amazing place. Absolutely amazing meals fantastic service and brilliant atmosphere. Even with social distancing rules you can still have a laugh enjoy the scenery and have a first class meal. Will definitely be going back as soon as possible.

We have visited the Towy Bridge Inn many times. When the weather is warm you can sit outside and enjoy your lovely food while admiring the stunning view. Inside you will find a cosy place to eat, with a wood burning stove, keeping it nice...

A return visit after about 4 years and the "newish" owners have certainly improved the atmosphere and food. The pub was warm and inviting. Julie was smiling and the locals were also welcoming. We dd not have long so just had a drink each and...

Lovely pub in beautiful location. Excellent service. Looked after our son who was lost on a cycle- gave him a hot chocolate, charged his phone and let him sit in the warm until we arrived. We will be back for a meal.

Fantastic place the lady of the house was so welcoming ,we went there lunch time and back in the evening for Burger night so warm comfortable place quirky fantastic veiws from this slice of heaven food was perfect great choice .

A beautiful spot right by the river. Beers and food are good. Check their Facebook page before visiting as they seem to be closed Tuesday and Wednesday at the moment. Thursday is burger night. Very friendly and helpful staff. This is a small rural pub and it would be a shame if it closed for good so pop in when you are in the area and support it.

The last time I called in here for a drink they had a horse in the bar,, outstanding! 👍

For three years now, we've been visiting this amazing part of Wales and on each occasion, we've looked forward to visiting the Towy Bridge Inn. Whether for one of their excellent meals in the cosy bar or outside seating area or just enjoying the sound of the river babbling along whilst enjoying a beer at the riverside. The owners are great people and treat all, both locals and visitors with great warmth and a lovely welcome. This pub is a real gem and a great escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Highly recommended if your in the area and with amazing walking country and scenery all around you'd be mad not to pop in here if your passing.
