Great food and location. We had loose leaf tea, yummy bacon and brie panini's followed by delicious home made cake NOTE: The pin is completely in the wrong place for this cafe, they are in Haywards Heath not where the map shows it.

Having read glowing reviews we weren’t prepared for this. Nice environment but very poor food. My fried egg and spinach sandwich had over-fried eggs (no runny yolk), minimal spinach, and bread which looked nice but tasted bland and commercial. My friend’s sausage sandwich was dreadful. Sausages- possibly pre-cooked then miked and hard in places. Coffee nothing special. Staff not very engaged with clients and didn’t know how to react to polite criticism of their poorly cooked food. This cafe has a long way to go before it can compare with the great cafes in Brighton’s parks which the staff need to visit.

Thank you for catering for our large birthday breakfast group of 15 people! The service at the table was excellent and always with a smile (which is rare in current times). The food was very good with the Sussex breakfast being well presented. Tr eggs were cooked very well but I wasn't a fan of the homemade beans. The children's waffles looked fab too and there was a wide range of homemade cakes on offer. The two large americano coffees I had were easily the best coffees I had for a while. The tables were cleared throughout the birthday shenanigans and it was a great idea to provide chalks boards to keep the children busy. Definitely try to fix the front door so that it doesn't keep blowing open randomly This being my first visit I was very impressed and will be returning for some more homemade goodness. Keep up the good work!

What a charming team at Tory's Cafe. It is clearly popular with locals and deserves to be as well. Excellent coffee - really good strong flavour but rounded and not at all bitter. Great selection of light eats. We haven't been to Haywards Heath before but were recommended to try the cafe when we happened to be down there. Very happy to take up the tip. Thanks very much and well done Tory's!

Brilliant cafe with so many delicious food options. The cakes are always amazing, as are the ciabattas, salads and vegetarian breakfast in normal times. We ordered a takeaway afternoon tea and it was exceptional. Beautifully presented in the box, lovely sandwiches, savouries like cheese straws, different sweets like biscoff muffins and chocolate orange teacakes (so good!), all delicious and such good value at just £16 each. Always friendly staff too. Highly recommend.

A friend and I were meeting for a quick lunch half way between our respective towns. I spotted a review about Tory's cafe and we gave it a try. What a warm, welcoming and friendly environment. We were quickly attended to and our lovely lunch followed swiftly accompanied by the nicest pot of tea I have ordered anywhere in a very long time. No skimping on tea, so a good strong brew. Even a tea cosy for the pot to keep it hot. With no capacity for one of the delicious looking cakes, we have a plan to be back very, very soon. Thank you for a memorable lunch.

We stopped in Hayward’s Heath last Sunday to break a car journey between Tunbridge Wells and Peterfield. We had our English Setter puppy with us and noticed the sign for The Cafe in the Park so thought that maybe it would accept dogs. It was too cold to sit outside but no matter as all three of us were made welcome Inside. We had a delicious salad lunch. The staff were delightful, likewise the other customers. It became obvious that there was a regular very loyal clientele . What a joy to find such a lovely dog friendly cafe. We wish we lived nearer and could visit more often.

Visit here on an, almost, daily basis. As a dog walker, love to stop and chat, stop and have a coffee where dogs are, at least, tolerated. This place is so Dog Friendly that there can be 10-12 of us around a table. The coffee can be variable, but the chocolate is so good. The food is simple but beautifully prepared. The surroundings are clean with large toilets. The staff can not be faulted for their service. Recently had a new manager, she has only improved things further, bringing a smile to everyone. Come and join us on a Friday, even if no dog, we are all there 9:30-10:30.

If you are visiting Haywards Heath town centre 'Tory's' cafe offers a tranquil venue for a delicious cup of fairtrade coffee and a slice of homemade cake or a tasty sandwich/light lunch just minutes from the South Road shops. Situated in Victoria Park it has outside seating in Summer and a warm welcome is always received from their friendly staff. Tory has turned a plain building into a little gem in Haywards Heath, a town almost devoid of little independent eateries. I have eaten here several times. Staff are always pleasant and efficient and the food is lovely both sweet and savoury, simple things well done which is quite a rarity. The tea is really good, and I am very fussy about tea, and the little knitted tea cosies add a quirky, homely touch. It is dog and child friendly. There is a nice selection of "gifty" things too. Tucked away in Victoria Park in central Haywards Heath, this cafe is popular with locals who can eat outside on tables in the park during summer (weekend breakfasts are particuarly good!!) or have a scumptious hot cooked lunch or sandwich during the winter months. We have visited this lively cafe for the first time this week to meet a friend and really loved it! I had a skinny latte and a slice of lemon and coconut cake and it was all served with a welcoming and friendly manner. The space is really cosy and quaint albeit small which makes it hard to have a very private conversation. I anticipate this issue doesn't arise so much in the Summer as there is an esplanade. The location is fantastic as Tory's is in Victoria Park, nearest to the entrance by Iceland and there is a car park one minute walking distance. There are lovely crafts on display for sale such as cushions etc. Just a little note: when you Google it it comes up with 5pm as closing time but in the winter they actually close earlier. The sign on the car park said 4.30 pm and on Facebook it says 4pm. Still, the staff were lovely when we came in at 4.15pm and didn't make us feel uncomfortable or rushed in the slightest. Liked it very much.

Tory's cafe is lovely place to eat and drink coffee all year round and we do. Today we had coffee and Ciabatta toast with Auntie Val's locally produced marmalade. My wife is a Costa coffee lover but Tory's coffee beats it hands down every time. We have tried most things over a long period of time from a full breakfast, breakfast rolls, sausage sandwich, toast, tea cakes and slices of freshly baked cakes and needless to say a winner every time. The food is made from high quality produce and is always hot and tasty. The staff are always very welcoming, friendly and customer focused nothing is to much trouble. In the summer it's glorious to sit outside, and in the winter or rainy days it's great to now be able to sit inside in the warm. There are numerous items to purchase from the displays within the cafe and I recommend the jarred cookie mixes to take home and bake or to give as gifts.

Humous, spinach, halloumi, house baked beans and two f-r eggs on ciabatta. Nice coffee. I didn't have room for cake.No GF bread today (apparently they normally do), but my dining companion enjoyed his jacket potato with same humous and halloumi. The cafe also make great coffees too - cappuccino, americano and lattes all great. Some callouts:Halloumi, houmous and sweet chilli jacket potatoes are out of this world. A very odd combination but it really works in the jacket. The potatoes are huge and served with homemade coleslaw and a salad with seeds so a really lovely taste combination.Tory's Sussex Breakfast - wow!!!! the 'meat' version of this breakfast has a huge panini halved and grilled with homemade baked beans (lovely), two rashers of bacon, two fried eggs and a sausage. The portion was massive and the food was fresh and filling. The sausages were excellent quality and the bacon was outstanding.Panini’s - always excellent. Whether halloumi or cheese and ham they are always fantastic.Afternoon tea - I had the 'winter' afternoon tea with spiced scones, spiced plum jam, clotted cream and a pot of tea. Great value for money and excellent ingredients. I would imagine the current summer version of this is also great.I think anyone visiting or living in our around Haywards Heath should visit the cafe, there really is something for everyone – including cakes!!!!
