The staff at the Watford Branch who were serving food today between 12:30-1:30pm need additional training on what a “portion size” is and to follow the given guidelines. The gentleman who put the additional toppings on my order scattered exactly 8 pieces of corn on top of my order which was not the portion size of the spoon in which Tortilla states is given per customer. The small white lady who was in black did not make the atmosphere welcoming and made me feel very uncomfortable whilst eating.

The food at Tortilla is appetising and flavoursome. It fresh and filling. Most of the menu if gluten free and dairy free. A great place to refuel for a busy day

Amazing food and was served by Mo who was very pleasant and attentive.

Food was tasty unfortunately the service wasn’t that good ,food portion had a nose dive and sudden change of behaviour: frosty and dismissive when they noticed I was wearing a star of David necklace :( I came to eat and not to be judged. I won’t go there again and definitely won’t recommend it to my friends.

It was a horrible experience with racist flavour coming from the staff. This is a pro Palestinian and antisemitic oriented restaurant . I will never go there or recommend anyone. The food is average and you pay extra for avocado! And any other basic Mexican burrito filling. Go to lots of other restaurants who deserve our visit. Nothing went down well and I left half of it in my plate

Not the best burrito. Nothing really fresh in it. Texture just felt samey and not very tasty. £40 for three of us to eat. Three burritos (Two chicken and one pork), 2 cans of fizzy drink (One coke and One Cherry) and an orange juice, with 3 sides of nachos, as part of a meal deal. The nachos didn't come with any dip, dry as hell. Just very disappointing. The UK just doesn't do Mexican food very well. I don't know why this is. I assume Mexican food, is all about fresh zingy ingredients. How hard can it be to make good take away food? Next time I will stick with my local burrito shack in Chipping Barnet Town centre! Now they know how to get the best out of ingredients. Tortilla Watford, a never to be repeated experience!

Terrible! You order a burrito like the one on the pics and then they ask you: “ you want meat? That’s extra 1£” , “you want salad? Oh, that’s extra 2€? What a fraud. Everyone reading this, avoid this place!!! The meat is full of fat, clean meat to find is like a bingo win!

Disappoint and unhappy with the lady manager’s behaviour. She is a short white- healthy lady. The name starts with J on her badge. I know her name but don’t want to take it. Don’t know how to speak and communicate with customers. Honestly rude! I visited yesterday and I am a regular customer. Her behaviour is not normal as always. Disrespecting her staff in front of everyone for no reason. Happened on National Burrito Day as well. A very stingy person when it comes to portion. Always it turns into an argument with customers when she is serving. Staff seems to be too scared of her because it’s not normal behaviour from her side. As a company, tortilla food is nice as always but the manager’s behaviour seems to be unhealthy for the company honestly. Not gonna recommend this branch.

Never saw someone begging for reviews to all the customers

I was recently in the restaurant enjoying my meal, but the meal was ruined with the argument between the customer and the manager....the manager was a short white lady who was really rude...it was not a good atmosphere so I left the restaurant immediately...👎

Rude staff especially the manager, it was a white short lady, the price seems to be okay but the portions are terrible. They don't know how to speak politely I was in the restaurant when a customer was nicely asking the difference and it turned into a big argument when the short lady got Involved. Never coming back.

staff said i wasn’t allowed both corn and pico de gallo, since when?! manager did up approving it. staff are very pushy to give reviews and come over often interrupting conversations. not a great experience

Unhappy staff, bleak food coupled with high prices.

Absolutely shocking service and attitude from the staff. My friend and I both ordered a large burrito. My one was 50% smaller than my friend's and the person's directly in front of us, despite choosing almost the exact same ingredients. It had significantly less filling. I pointed this out to the staff and suggested I should only pay for a medium given the size difference, or they should remake it. The staff refused both options and offered no recourse, but instead shamelessly argued with me about this and created a hostile atmosphere which made everyone present uncomfortable. Then who I assume was the manager (a short, overweight, belligerent woman) got involved and embarrassed herself by claiming there was "barely a difference between them". This was a blatant lie. I proceeded to tell them we would not be paying for the meal and I would be leaving a bad review, to which the woman claimed I was threatening her personally. I assured her it was not a threat, but a statement of intent. She then became extremely rude and demanded that we leave immediately. This occured on 4/4/24 at around 8:15pm. I have never encountered such a group of snide, deceitful, argumentative, pathetic workers in any restaurant I have ever visited. Tortilla ought to look into both their hiring practices and their training. I wish I could give zero stars and I urge readers to beware of the toxic nature of the staff in this establishment.

Had to throw away half of my bowl in the bin as I found a piece of plastic bag in my meal. The staff were just standing and chatting to each other didn't seem to bother about dining area.

Very disappointed with the visit, there are so cockroach on the floor running around. The smell is terrible. Never coming back

I found the food really tasty and my server who made my buritto was quite knowledgeable on all the toppings and flavour profiles. Staff are really nice and happy. They even cared to check if I was enjoying my meal which I loved. Shout out to the whole team and keep it up. I will definitely be back. My only regret is that I didn’t come dine in sooner!

As you would expect, great food located centrally in town!

Very tasty as usual but the server makes all the burrito smaller than they're supposed to be. For example by giving half of the beans or smaller portion of meat. This is nothing like they show on the ad played inside.

Tacos complete cold. That's normal? I didn't enjoy the food. I only ate it because I was hungry. I wouldn't go there again.

Pretty spacious with decent number of seatings that are not too cramped together. Tasty naked burrito, consistent taste with other branches, fulfilling large lunch, worth with the price paid. £10.65 with add on guacamole and canned drink. I wished the cashier asked if I have the tortilla points card, Tortilla is not available in most towns, so I forgot that I have the card. Overall, nice lunch. 😊

Been coming here for a while now and the food is always fantastic. The fact that you can choose exactly what goes into your burrito is what makes it so great. Unfortunately on this occasion, the server put beans in when we both said no beans please, but luckily they tasted alright and didn’t detract from the overall meal :)

Staff had incredible customer service ensuring I got discounts and saved money and waited to sign up to receive all the discounts. Then checked in after to see how I was doing. Food was good for tortilla but the customer service I got made it all worth it!

Great vegetarian Burrito at Tortilla. Yes, as they say just like California. Fresh ingredients, plenty of options. Tasty and not full of salt - shows confidence in their ingredients. Even the Tortilla chip were light on salt ( you can alway add your own) There was no queue for me, though the staff move you along quick.. you just need to know what you want. The Subway of Cal-Mex - I'm now a fan of both. Decent prices.

Food was okay for what you pay, I would say slightly overpriced. I got a naked burrito medium for £9 with a diet coke. I found an eyelash in my meal at the end so wasn't impressed, the server was rushing me and forcing me to choose very quickly even though I was the only customer in there. Good thing is they do blue light card discount. Always a healthy alternative to normal takeaway food. x

Great staff and amazing customer service I would highly recommend this place :) Dip was very helpful and went out of his way to take payment of additional items by taking our card to pay at the till for us whilst we stayed seated. Truly amazing service and he creates a lovely atmosphere. Thank you DIP! :)

It was my first visit in Tortilla and I had chicken buritto which was very flavourful, loved the choices which were offered by the staff especially Parishree who served me with a huge smile. I would love to visit again

I loved the service and food of the restaurant. I had vegetarian buritto and vegetarian quesadilla which was really tasty and fresh. I was served by Parishree and had an amazing experience and surely visit again.

Deeply disappointed with the experience at Tortilla Watford in October. We were mistakenly charged double for our bill, and when we brought this to the attention of the person handling payments, Jaanika attempted to rectify the situation but did so with evident frustration, even suggesting items on the bill that we hadn't ordered. We repeatedly tried to explain to Jannika our order, but her body language and tone were condescending and entirely unwarranted. Eventually, the correct refund was issued, and when we asked for her name, she pointed confidently to her badge, seemingly aware of the possibility of a formal complaint or a negative review.

Staff sadly did not know anything about authentic Mexican food and how it is served. Come here for tacos with sauce pouring sloppily out of them. Never seen that come out of a street taco. More research needed, clearly.

A very nice place to dine. The ambience is very good inside. You also have a sit out place which is very good for days when the weather is a bit warm.

I’ve been coming to this tortilla for a while and I haven’t had any issues, very lovely food. However today, I ordered 4 burritos, and 2 out of 4 had long buried hairs in the burrito that got caught in my mouth, it put me off my food. We couldn’t go back because we had already gone home. Maybe invest in hairnets to prevent this issue.

I highly recommend trying the naked burrito bowl with chicken and guacamole at this place. The staff, especially Parishri, was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

The atmosphere is decent but the way the assemble and wrap a burrito - not worth it. Ingredients are clumped up in one bite, you just get guac in one and rice on the other, sour cream - wud be better if you don't put it. And the service - very poor communication, unable to tell whether the ingredients are vegan or not. No correct description of how many toppings I can have, as a new customer.

Visited this place recently to grab lunch and I had naked burrito with vegan chilli. Vegan chilli was fresh and tasted great I would to visit again☺️

Ordered from here via UberEats, was really excited because I love this chain of restaurants. Unfortunately I've been let down by this particular location. I ordered a chicken burrito with black beans, Chipotle cheese sauce sour cream, guacamole, sweetcorn salsa, salsa Verde and lettuce. I made it a meal so it should have come with tortilla chips, Chipotle cheese sauce and a coke. Tortilla chips never turned up and the Chipotle cheese sauce was ridiculously watery with big granules of cheese sauce powder floating around. It was about the consistency of baby formula milk. I think this is why my burrito was so wet, the tortilla wrap had actually turned into paste inside the tin foil. The whole meal was sadly inedible, which is such a shame coming from one of my favourite restaurant chains.
