Holiday Inn London - Watford Junction, an IHG Hotel in Watford

Great location, but disappointing stay overall. Mattress was sagging in the middle from use which made the bed less comfortable. TV didn't work. Had to take light bulbs out of bedside table as it kept flashing even when turned off. Stayed 2 nights and our room wasn't made up until late in the afternoon (by which point we'd been out, come back and gone out again). We hung our towels up as intended to re use, but they took them away and only gave us one back. To top it all off we were overcharged for breakfast (this was refunded). Individually not major issues, but on the whole you expect more from a large chain and given the price paid for room.

Very pleasantly surprised by my stay here! Fantastic service from Eric during check-in, as a solo female I really appreciated him not saying my room number out loud at the front desk - not sure if intentional or just Holiday Inn policy but this was really reassuring. The room was lovely, decorated tastefully and comfortable bed. Super clean, especially the bathroom which also has a selection of Dove products that felt very luxe for what I was expecting. I only stayed one night and didn't dine there so can't comment on much else. Only slight issue is the lack of chain lock on the room doors - made me a little nervous travelling solo so next time I'd bring my own travel lock.

Good hotel. Small food. Staff helped me find a lost object, the car park at the top is slippery and I dropped my motorbike there.

I go to this Holiday Inn for business meetings early in the morning. The staff are excellent. One of the guys, he is asian and his name is Ceeway (phoenetically) always makes us welcome and is an excellent member of staff. I can't speak highly of him enough.

Gagon was the night manager an was brilliant an very helpful an very professional. Room was nice an clean bed was comfy had a great night's sleep will come back to stay again.

Needed an early check in, they were able to facilitate it. Got room for £80 two days out. Breakfast was alright. Very convieniant for touring London, without having to stay in London, which is ideal for me. Quiet without being out in the sticks. On site parking for £12. Good service from all the staff. Got a good sleep here too. If I got a better rate, I would stay here again.

Staff from the check in to the bar services absolutely lovely and helpful. We sit in the bar had a food. Atmosphere amazing. Services beautiful. Specially one lady at the bar Afsane she was professional and lovely. Amazing stay 🤩

Holiday Inn has a pillow guarantee (see attached photo). However, the manager of this hotel had told me that in his entire hotel, he was only able to send 1 hard pillow to our room. I can't believe that a brand as strong as Holiday Inn only has 1 hard pillow in the entire hotel. This pretty much defies their pillow guarantee. We also booked to have a 3 person room with an extra bed provided. However, they only provided 2 bottles of complimentary water. When we asked for a 3rd, they said they need to charge us for an extra bottle. Meanwhile, the hotel we just checked out of gave us extra water because of our 3 person booking. I'm interested to know what corporate office thinks and feels about how this location is run. This place just baffles my mind. Wow. Just wow. 🤯😵‍💫

Ideal for visits to London and the Warner Bros. Studios.

My sister and I have just spent 4 nights here and we have been really impressed with our stay. The location is brilliant with Watford Junction and the Harry Potter shuttle bus being located at the end of the road. Deep on reception checked us in and assisted us a few times with different queries. He was really helpful and polite. We used room service twice during our stay and the staff were always prompt and friendly. We also ate and drank in the bar on several occasions and we were particularly impressed with Irene (I hope this is how it is spelt!) as she was so friendly and attentive, really going above and beyond to make sure we were well looked after. The room was clean and air conditioned which we appreciated a great deal. The bath plug was broken but upon speaking to reception we were immediately offered another room. The pillows are also quite hard. Overall, very much recommend this Holiday Inn!

I chose this hotel because it allowed me to get a ticket to the Harry Potter studios at the last minute, the hotel was really clean, quiet and the staff were friendly, everything you expect from a good hotel

It's a hotel basically provided room and bedroom to the guests. But the room is good and neat. And comfortable.

Beautiful rooms, friendly staff and located 50 meters from the station where our shuttle bus runs. Very satisfied

It's okay, good service. Parking has to be paid for, which is about £12.00 Room was very nice and clean as well. Service from the front desk was good and hassle free. Close enough to station and 10-15 walk to restaurants and town centre.

I had an exceptional stay at the Holiday Inn in Watford Junction. The hotel is modern, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it perfect for business or leisure. My room was clean, comfortable, and wonderfully equipped, featuring a great shower and all the amenities ! needed. A highlight was the breakfast service provided by Afsan. She was incredibly attentive and friendly, ensuring our morning started off wonderfully. The breakfast options were varied and delicious, and the dining area was inviting. Overall, thanks to the excellent staff, my experience was fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning.

If you are going to the Harry Potter studios, I highly recommend it, as the hotel is located a short distance from the station where the bus departs, the hotel itself is nice, the breakfast is sufficient, everyone found something for themselves, the price is perfect

Food and Beverage staff are so incredibly rude and discourteous. Unfriendly and unhelpful too - and one of them just makes fun of you the whole time. They bring you the wrong food and the carpets are absolutely filthy.

Excellent location if your visiting harry potter, rooms are spotless, staff are great ,really helpful, only downfall is the drinks selection is limited, and 1 can of guinness cost 6.40 sterling, a bit pricey,but the hotel staff are great, rooms are cleaned every day..spotless,

We had an excellent dinner at the Holiday Inn restaurant. The service and staff were outstanding. Afsana, in particular, was wonderful. Her welcoming smile and attentiveness made us feel exceptionally comfortable. Highly recommended. :)

I had a last-minute problem with my appointment, which meant I couldn't arrive. I was helped very quickly (within minutes!!!) and a proper solution was found. Customer service is 10/10!

Loved my experience here. Beautiful decor, the room was clean and fresh. The breakfast was delicious. I went for a work event and used one the meeting rooms and honestly the set up was seamless. Absolutely brilliant! The service here is top tier. Everyone is so friendly and accepting. Asad was amazing and was there answer all my questions. Nothing was too much for him which makes it so much nicer staying somewhere you dont know. And as for David, he was an absolute star. He made the best coffee and we had some lovely chats. I wish I knew everyone's names but every member of staff on that premises are absolute assets to holiday Inn franchise. I will love to go back, if im ever in watford again! Thank you for an amazing stay x
