Mangal Plus in Watford

I ordered a chicken wrap with lettuce and mayonnaise I had barely any chicken and drenched in sauce and lettuce. Very rude people and unprofessional

Very rude people we ordered chicken shish Wrap we got a few pieces of chicken the rest was a lot of lettuce the wrap bread was soaked …. i will never ever buy from them .Even 1 star they don’t deserve it .

Some months ago I gave a very honest 5 star review of the food from this take out it was excellent Last night we ordered Has the team or chef changed ? Unfortunately the food was dreadful Bread was hard and dry , chips were dry and cold - inedible Salad consisted of very dark outside lettuce leaves finely shredded mixed with a hint of coriander Cucumber and tomato were very thin transparent potions mixed in , no onion or red cabbage or pickles . Not sure how halloumi cheese had been cooked but definitely not on the BBQ griddle. Ghastly and the whole meal went in the bin . Really sorry but won’t be rushing back after last nights meal and wouldn’t recommend .

Tried This place for the first time i absolutely recommend it the food tasted so fresh I had the lam kofte it was so soft and so tasty the stuff is so friendly.

Our family stayed in over the weekend and so we opted for a takeway from this restaurant. While the chiken dishes were reasonable, the Lamb Chops were the worst I ever had. Not only were they bite size for a child, they were also burnt too. How can a restaurant be happy to deliver such below standard food??

I had a veg thingy with couscous for 1 person. It was my first time, so I went by his suggestions. Taste- 4/5 specially that Halloumi and Salad. Quantity for 1- 4.5/5 Price- 4/5 (felt expensive in beginning but looking at overall quantity and taste it was worth it) Service & packaging- 5/5 Looks and feel- 5/5 Owner's behaviour with customer- 5/5

The food is good, but they only accept cash.

This place was recommended by my colleague. I went there for lunch and had chicken doner kebab. My colleague had combo kebab. The meat was so tasty and juicy, the owner was so hospitable and we felt very well looked after. Highly recommended and we definitely come back! Teșekkűrler!!

Great place, fast, efficient and tasty ! Rice and chicken kofta, chicken shish and breads, all good!

Stay away from delivery!!! Constantly getting things wrong and ultra rude when you ring up to ask for the right item to be delivered! Under cooked lamb kofta, tough as leather.....never again will we wasteso much money on this over priced muck.

Since moving in north watford several years ago Mangal plus north watford has become my favourite Friday night haunt for take outs. Mangals delicious range of burgers and kebabs have always made for a great and affordable eat!. ... the double burger is my favourite!. Osi and the team aleays turn around my order nice and quicly too

Went here a couole of days ago, and I must say it was EXCELENT, I ve asked for a few doner Kebabs, but had some requests, like chips on the side,sauce in one but not onthe others. The staff was amazing and no request was too much. Highly recommend. Many thanks

Absolutely horrible food and service. Made an order online with a clear note requesting traditional and classic Quarter Pounder burgers, then I called to explain and asked to make sure is well-done but NOT burnt. And guess what horribly burnt burger arrived with nothing inside it just the unevenly burnt meat and the bun totally burnt!!! See photos. Called to asked why despite notes and phone call delivered such horrible burgers with nothing added. The man was so rude and defensive, shouting and blaming me instead and then hanged up on me. Totally unprofessional, awful food and service. Would never ever buy again from this place again. We had to bin all burgers. They used to be decent a while back, but clearly had change of management and staff.

Ordered food for our family via the restaurant waited an 1.5hrs for delivery. We rang them when food didnt arrive they said just eat nicked the food and it was our problem. Absoloute joke. They gave the lmpression it happens all the time

I recently tried some chicken wrap at this place. I liked the ambiance and owner interaction with the customer ! He was kind and nice .. I have tried Turkish wraps in the Middle East .it had different taste and flavors compared to what was served here in the uk. I guess it tastes better in middle eastern! Don't get me wrong but definitely good to try for once the flavor and experience.

Very friendly and polite the portions are very large well worth the visit (my kebab was huge), apon arrival they noticed my little boy and give him 2 lollies and us all a Turkish delight before we had even ordered, very clean and modern inside, not only was the service 10/10, the food was too, probably the best kebab I've ever had.

DON’T ORDER FOR DELIVERY. I wish they would change their delivery options from Uber Eats. Food never received (driver took a picture in front of a door that isn’t even ours claiming they had tried to deliver). Rang the restaurant but they couldn’t/wouldn’t help and Uber Eats have no one to speak to. Loss of over £50

Really disappointed in Mangal Plus this evening, we’ve been regular customers for four / five years, order once a week or every other week for a family of six, without fail, as well as recommending to several people. Placed today’s order via Deliveroo, arrived and when unpacking realized there was no pitta, quite a lot of missing pitta when spending over £60 each time, I called the restaurant to be told ‘we have no drivers to drop any more’ and to contact Deliveroo, as the item is not listed on the bill, comes with each dish, Deliveroo had to contact the restaurant to take instruction rather then a straight refund, Deliveroo agent told me that ‘this is a complementary item and only severed when available’, not the experience I have had for the last five years nor does it match the description on the website ‘All Served With Bulgur Rice, Salad, Pitta And A Choice Of Sauce’ ! Mangal Plus owner…really disappointed in your service today, as well as your staff’s ‘oh well’ attitude, you’ll see my name on this review and therefore the weekly / fortnightly order which has my mobile, please contact me. For someone who has supported you for this long it really is disappointing service on your staff’s behalf.

Food arrived stone cold and the mixed chicken looked worse than a dogs dinner, the salad was inedible, and the wrap was in pieces. Worse takeaway in a very long time.

Spent over £60 on a family platter for my food to be delivered and have a LIVE SPIDER IN MY MEAL IN THE SEALED CONTAINER !!!!! Never again !!!! I did get a full refund but not the point

Won't be ordering food from here again. Ordered a take away, expecting the same quality/portions as previously received but were disappointed when the food arrived. Although it arrived promptly and was hot upon arrival, the food did not come with the accompaniments as advertised on the menu. We ordered 2 kebabs and selected individual salad options for each. One kebab came in the box with the salad, completely drenched in sauce. The other came served on top of the bulgar rice with no accompanying salad. Given that the sauce was a required field on the ordering page, and there was no box for requests, we had hoped the sauce would come in a separate pot, as we would have preferred no sauce at all but this was not an option. We had ordered large portions of both kebabs but the portions were small and unsatisfying. This was a very expensive, mediocre meal. Save your money and go elsewhere.

A decent Turkish restaurant at reasonable prices. Foods cooked on a bbq for that Authentic Turkish grill taste. Lots of dishes and sides to choose from. The restaurant itself is relaxed, staff are very attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Second time I ordered food from here and once again it was amazing. The Family meal 1 was enough for me and my 2 kids, also tried their mega burger which is a beast. Really good fresh food and very polite staff.

Ordered in the past via Uber Eats and it has always been an incredible experience. This Turkish joint offers the very best flavours this side of Istanbul. We usually go for the family platter meals, which consist of Shish, Doner, Beyti, Wings, Cous Cous/Bulgur Rice plus more On this occasion (May 2023), I walked in for the first time and ordered a large Chicken Beyti wrap after work. Delicious. Succulent and packed with flavour. The quality of the meat is very good and judging by the number of people who came into order, you instantly know that this is the best Turkish place in the area. Inside is very compact and only can fit 4-6 people. It is a take away place. The place does offer delivery and ordering via the usual food apps. Plus they take both contactless and cash in store. Highly recommended.

Dissapointed of this place, use to be one of the best for kebabs.I think they change the owners or somthing happend beacuse the service, the food is relly bad.Order 2 chicken wrap with chips, wait for over a hour for delivery, come cold and the chips and the meat relly dry, no sauce inside...Overall a bad experience.Never again.

Ordered many times from here an always enjoyed it. I will never order again. Cancelled our order for 1pm which is fine, when you phone the shop to understand what happened, was it the time of the order, was it what I ordered, can I order something else? A 'chef' picks up the phone who refuses to try find out, tells you to call back at 2pm as he's too lazy to take 10 seconds to ask someone else because magically orders cancel without anyone in the shop knowing what's happened! Amazing.

2 hours 30 for delivery, 3 phone calls, fobbed off twice with driver on his way, order obviously forgotten then not prioritised. Arrived cold, wished I hadn't bothered, waste of money. Won't be using again I'm afraid. Can't post unless you give 1 star which I'm sorry it's a 0
