Leonardo Hotel London Watford - Formerly Jurys Inn in Watford

Pleasant one night stop over . Excellent location for Harry Potter world and near a multi story car park .

Hotel don't have it's own parking and you need to park in nearby multilevel parking but it's max 2 minutes walk from the hotel. Room was clean and up to the expected standard. The only complain was the hotel restaurant: ordered medium rare steak and we received a well done one, portions are quite small - for £20 you'd expect more than a small portion of salmon without salt or any other spices, 5 cherry tomatoes (advertised as "grilled on vine") and a bucket of chips.

- The lifts are very loud! I have my room on the 6th floor, halfway down the hall. Nevertheless, you can hear the constant hum of the elevator. + Room clean - Staff slow

The hotel is clean, although the ravages of time can be seen on it. The staff is nice and helpful. The rooms are just right, but I was surprised by the absence of a safe in the room, which I already consider a matter of course in other hotels. The only minus was the restaurant, the food for dinner was underseasoned and bland, for that price I would have expected a much better gastronomic experience. Proximity to Watford Junction station made it easy to get to WB studios.

I am the member of Bon Marriott properties and this is the second experience at Leonardo properties. While booking and even before arrival I provided specific instructions about the meals that I would like to take as I am fasting due to holy month of Ramadan and need to get midnight meals delivered, ofcourse I would pay. The lady on the call said my request is already in the system and at the time of arrival someone at reception can assist. On my arrival late night, the reception had no idea how does this all work. Confusion. I managed to go out and get the food. I understand this is a budgeted hotel, missing basic amenities like shoe shiners or even asking for a paper carry bag was denied and later they knew I am pre notified of carrying some food, they asked me to get it from the restaurant. It has been a disappointing experience and the money I paid for this room could have been better to book the Hilton or any of the Marriot properties. Not recommended for corporates and executive stays.

Great stay, great staff, lovely room

My stay here was very good and had incredible decor with comfortable beds that featured in my room. Only issue was, the constant air flow vent at night, which made a rather annoying sound that I could particularly hear at night, when trying to sleep. The noise was coming from the bathroom, although I could not shut the bathroom door as the wedge got locked. Though, I asked for assistance and service did provide me with a door stopper to keep noise in. Would come back again when staying in Watford.

Nice modern hotel. We had a super king room which was a good size but the shower room was so small. Staff were all friendly. Breakfast was OK, the food wasn't replenished and all the plates were hot even though they serve cold fruit etc. Good location close to all the shops and restaurants

Noisy, Messy & an Eyesore – Avoid Roadside Rooms Stayed at Leonardo Hotel with the roadside view, and it was a disruptive and unpleasant experience. Every morning at 5 AM, a white van (possibly a fish delivery - Aylesbury Fisheries I think) arrives, and the driver (bald male) creates a lot of noise. Then at 6 AM, bin collection starts, with loud banging, squeaking, and clattering—making sleep impossible. To make matters worse, the market opposite of the hotel is an absolute eyesore (see photo). Overflowing bins, scattered rubbish, and a lack of cleanliness create a really unpleasant view. If you must stay here, ask for a room away from the roadside, or be prepared for noise and a terrible view.

To me and business purposes very good. Good location with shops and transports nearby. Bathroom in my room little outdated, but enough. Good, varied breakfast.

It's a great location but the hotel lacks care and love...perhaps relying on the location too much? A bit overpriced, half way to excellent... breakfast rather poor for 4**** hotel. Everyone we've met was very nice, providing good service.

Comfortable room and convenient location, great price!

The location is well-located and near the station. In addition the executive rooms are spacious and have all the facilities conducive to a comfortable stay, including fridge and ironing board. I made 2 bookings. However, the fact there’s even an “option” which is not explicitly stated for a non-refundable booking, and that you incur a charge for a cancellation fee to move the date for a room you’ve already paid for is also ridiculous. So, I would not recommend Leonardo hotels, until that practice is fixed, people should know what they pay for upfront, to avoid being fleeced.

The staff at Leonardo are incredibly friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The little extras in the room and the complimentary drink tokens were such a thoughtful touch—small details like these really set Leonardo apart from other major hotel chains. While the rooms are a bit dated, they are clean and extremely comfortable, ensuring a great stay. Would definitely recommend!

We spent one night, with the option of breakfast. Everything was perfect, the bed was very comfortable, the room was very clean and there were teas and coffees to drink in the room. The breakfast is very good and the staff is very nice.

Staying for the weekend as taking part in an event in Watford. Easy access from Luton airport. Rooms are spacious, well equipped and spotless. All the staff have been so friendly and helpful. Great choice for breakfast both hot and cold. Close to the main Watford shopping area endless shopsto choose from and places to eat and drink within 5 / 10 minutes walk. Have stayed in a few leonardo hotels now and would highly recommend, will definitely stay again. Would advise book direct on leonardo site rather then external booking site get much better rates.

Staff are professional and friendly especially the lovely blonde lady who assisted us with dinner tonight (03/02/2025). She has excellent work ethics, very attentive, and friendly. We will definitely come back 😊

At first cons: - we would appreciatte more ligths in the room, they are really dark - no pancakes on Saturday morning during brrakfast 😱🙈 - why there is no toilet brush in the bathroom?😱😱😱 Pros: - really very good location - many restaurants and shops are very close, as well as bus stop 👍 and Harry Potter studios (bus number 20) - very quick check-in (thank you for this, it helped us after a travelling day) - room is clean and quiet 👍 Thank you!

This hotel was fantastic for our family trip to the Warner Bros. studios. They went above and beyond for our birthday celebrations, surprising us with complimentary chocolates, which was such a thoughtful touch. While the hotel doesn’t offer parking, there is a nearby car park, and the hotel can arrange a discount for you when you pay at the end of your stay. The lobby had refreshing ginger-infused water, which I enjoyed several cups of—especially nice during the winter when the bugs were around. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the shuttle bus to the Warner Bros. studios, only about a 10-minute straight-line walk. It was also very convenient for traveling into Central London.

Good hotel in a good location if you don't need to go to central London. Perfect if you're doing a Warner Bros tour.

Great hotel and location. We had a Wonderful stay here, made to feel very welcome and staff great. Room was good and beds so comfortable. Extra special touch was great, Apple spiced juice & iced water in the main lobby made it. Definitely recommend 👌.

Rooms are well appointed but afraid that's it. Let's start with the bad, there is no parking. You have to park 5 minutes away from hotel which is so inconvenient with young children. If I had have known beforehand I wouldn't have booked this hotel. Finally got past this logistical inconvenience and wanted to order just one beer to finally unwind after putting the little gems to bed, only to be told by room service that there was a £6.00 surcharge for the luxury of ordering a drink to my room. I was advised that I could order my drink and collect from the bar to avoid the tray charge, but that would mean I'd risk leaving my children unattended in the hotel room alone, which I would not consider doing. The staff couldn't comprehend this challenge, including the Duty Manager judging by her response to this review! Suffice to say I won't be coming back to a Leonardo hotel again.

We stayed one night here because it was near the Harry Potter bus stop and we wanted to visit the movies studios the next day. Had a great night there. The room was nice, the bed comfortable and we were warmly welcomed. Also you can have yourself a free glass of water with lemons if I recall well. Overall is was clean, chic and not noisy despite being in London. I recommend that place 100% !

Leonardo Hotel London Watford provided an excellent stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere was peaceful and quiet. Service was friendly and efficient, ensuring a pleasant experience. Highly recommended for a restful and enjoyable visit.

Excellent customer service, we had got to Watford really late, unable to find a last minute room from any other hotels in the area, last attempt was this hotel and we were able to secure a room, the receptionist was really helpful and pleasant, would definitely use again

Clean service was good, the reception does not bother with politeness (not a hello, not a goodbye) and we didn’t like the fact that they didn’t informed us we had to book in advance for the breakfast at 13 pounds. We have the expensive surprise after we paid.

Compared to most hotels I found the beds and pillows here really comfortable, so I had A great night's sleep. The air conditioning is a bonus. Food here isn't all that great, but not disgusting either. The shower pressure isn't as strong as other hotels so not an exile rating experience. Otherwise it is a nice hotel to stay at.

Really enjoyed our stay here, the breakfast was delicious with a big variety. I deducted a star just for the bed itself. It had a very firm mattress which I found uncomfortable to sleep on. Other than that I would highly recommed

Slept well, clean and tidy hotel. Breakfast was fine, but little choice. The space is not really big. You can have a nice drink in the evening. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food was disappointing, but there is a large shopping center within walking distance with plenty of places to eat. A super shopping center. Train station at the end of the street. Top connection.

Always something fundamentally wrong with a Leonardo Hotel room, if it isn’t the near zero bar water pressure resulting in a dribble shower, it’s the rattling air con. This time we book 2 rooms, obviously we don’t get two next to each other, and my room has a connecting door. So here I am, at 7:30 wanting a lay in on a Saturday morning but I’ve been kept awake for the last half hour because I can hear the room next door constantly talking. What a great idea having a connecting door that isn’t totally sound proof (and you don’t even put two rooms together?!) One star review because if I book a hotel it’s to sleep, which I’m not. Last time staying in a Leonardo, over priced and never deliver.

Robert the manager deserves the plaudits for an excellent hotel. Should be the flagship for Jurys to Leonardos transition from friendly chain of premier/holiday inn ilk to higher end hotel

The hotel is large with spacious clean rooms. There is a restaurant and a good breakfast buffet. Late checkout wasn't a problem either. The hotel is located near the shopping street and offers many opportunities for strolling

We have just spent the weekend at this hotel for my wifes 50th birthday and we can not praise it enough. The service was excellent the staff helpful and the food was the best we have had at a hotel in quite some time. The location was perfect for shops and restaurants and as qe were visiting the Harry Potter studios it is located a 15min drive away. Would stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Nice hotel, the rooms are big and clean and breakfast is good. Location is great for the Harry Potter studios. A couple of issues and I think they are in need of a bit of an update - a fridge for water would be nice, the shampoo is very bad and the keys to the room never worked so everytime we left the room and came back we had to go back downstairs for them to reset the card which was frustrating. The aircon panel is old and the buttons didn't work so the first night I was boiling and couldn't turn the temperature down.

Friendly, helpful staff. The rooms are spacious, clean. Close to HP STUDIO, one hour by taxi to the airport. About an hour to the public transport center. We will definitely be happy to come back.
