O'Neill's Watford in Watford

Staying in Watford and decided to go for a drink and found this lovely pub and a lad James banks set us up on the dart boards so friendly and great help, we had such a good time we went back the next night and had good it was also amazing

We called early today and they guaranteed that they had the match on : Real Madrid - Barcelona. We purchased more than £50 drinks and food to be ready for the match. At 7.45pm they channel wasn't on, at 8.10pm the game wasn't still on and the guy we spoke to was extremely rude, saying, it has nothing to do with me, I didn't promise you anything. This kind of service and behaviour want get you good customers back. Shame because I like your chain but this experience changed my mind. Poor and disrespectul service. Can't trust O Neil's anymore.

Oct24- didn't eat. Used car park and staff friendly when I dropped something and went back to collect. Apr22-The food is good and if ordered on QR code at table arrives timely. App can be a bit temperamental. All the vegan/veggie tapas unavailable (except chips) and staff said "I don't know you'll have to ask the shift manager I'm just a team member" when asked any question. Veggie sausages main not bad at all, sadly not fresh veg but packet/frozen steamed with it. Curly fries a nice additonal.choice. Macaroni cheese wasn't bad. Fish n chips ok. Prices not too bad at all. Staff mostly surly and slow. The Shift Mgr was the only one who smiled and looked like they/she wanted to be there. Slightly put us off staying but we were there with friends who had a young kid being babysat and needed to stay local. Busy for a Wednesday early Eve to night. £65 for 4 mains, one starter and 3 alcoholic & 1 soft drink. Good value

food was terrible poor quality, waitress was lovely, atmosphere enhanced my social anxiety, everyone was staring at us like we were aliens because we were newbies. wouldnt to again.

I was delighted with the hospitable staff. More specifically Hannah, served us almost all night and did a stellar job!

We stopped by on the way and tried the burgers and pizza. Great service delivered by Ash, and great food from the guys out back.

The darts experience was amazing. It feels like flight club but better in every aspect of service, cost and chilled vibes. Our host Lay was very attentive and made sure we had a good time.

Dark and dingy. Drinks were expensive and service was ok. Felt as if we were inconveniencing staff by ordering a drink. Location next to the station is the only reason you would come here.

I was given food that was frozen the middle. When I mentioned it to the server he was very rude about it and cynically asked ‘if I wanted my food ‘extra hot’ maybe? It’s giving me a serious health concern when they don’t cook the food through and don’t even care! When they gave me replacement the waiter again said now it was ‘extra hot’ this how! Patronising and disrespectful behaviour! I suggest serious training to staff and ‘chef’

Great service, lunch is super tasty and inexpensive. Drinks are cheap cold. Gladly again.

Came in from work on the train late and decided to go in for a drink while I waited for my friend to pick me up. The lady at the bar, Julia, was really friendly and spoke to me while I waited as it was quiet.

Love coming in for a coors, Yasmin and the rest of the team are always fantastic

Met up with old friends and stayed a few hours. Great atmosphere and service couldn’t be quicker. Thank you to Julia who was a cracking giggle at the bar. Definitely will be going back and would recommend

Myself and my wife went here today for lunch. We walked in and spoke to the staff about ordering food then sat down at a table. To then be told by the same staff member a few minutes later they were not taking anymore food orders because in his words “something was going on in Watford” and then someone else was placing a food order as we were leaving. Absolute joke of a place. If zero stars was possible I’d have put that

The best pub to eat and drink in Watford. The beer is great, I asked them to recommend some and they gave me several to try. You have to order at the bar. The burger is one of the best I've ever had and the bangers and mash are great too. The music and the atmosphere is great even to go with children, we were there with our daughter. I would go again without a doubt

A genuine environment with a lot of elements of refreshing guests... But nice staff and no fuss. A bit of an experience.

It's okay. A lively pub and is great for drinks & meeting up with friends. Food was awful, truly. We had 2 margaritas which came out quick & looking very anaemic and were tasteless. Tables were sticky which I guess is expected but still pretty grim! Stick to the booze - don't bother with food.

Lively Irish Pub, with an extensive menu. We tried a burger, a Chicken Tika Masala and a "spice bag". All tasty, the chicken really good, and the spice bag fun to try. Staff chatty and in a good mood.

Oneills in Watford offers a fantastic mix grill that's both delicious and satisfying. The meats are well-seasoned and cooked to perfection, making it a standout dish. Proper pub, just outside the station, didn't eat, but the food looked outstanding. 👌

We were coming from the Harry Potter tour and it was raining a lot so we decided to stop by to have a beer and something to eat: Excellent idea! The place is very good, it has delicious food and a lot of beers! The atmosphere also seemed great and no reservation was necessary.

Had our staff party here we had a buffet and darts, Josh was our host and he was fantastic, we did not have to go to the bar all night josh would take our order and bring the drinks to us (remembering everyone's drinks order which was great as there was alot of us!) Josh made the night great he is an asset to the team and very friendly! Would deffinatly recommend a night out here to friends/family. Thanks Josh

We went to arrowsmith for our work do, we had Josh as our server nothing was too much for this guy absolute asset to the team, probably the best team night out ever, would recommend!!!

We had a wonderful night, perfect group outing for any sizes of customers. Being at Arrowsmiths was so fun and having Josh as our waiter could not of been better. Happy for this great day!

Company night out for arrowsmiths have been catered for personally by josh. Cannot recommend enough. Speed of service, food and absolute banter will be booking back in for more events

Wonderful place to have a pint, enjoy some food and meet friends. Perfect for watching sports. Helpful and experienced staff is a big plus.

Great place for a munch and to watch the football, craic'n beer garden. Travelled down from Scotland for a course and this place looked after me, highly recommend 🔥

1 star because I can’t give less. This is unacceptable. We arrived at 8:57pm asking if they were still serving food and they said yes. Just the time to look at the menu, we want to order at 9:02 and « we are not serving anymore ». You cannot be serious ! why didn’t you tell me we had less than 2 minutes to order or to order right now ? Shame on you

Friendly atmosphere, busy at times, staff is considerate.

Pub was run like a youth club. Bartenders swearing right next to my children. When the menu says from the grill it should say burnt from the grill. Fire alarm went off and instead of saying can you leave we were shouted at to get out. No egg on the mixed grill but probably saved me from food poisoning.

Played arrowsmiths tonight with the girlfriend. Great music, lovely staff, quick service. Been here a few times this year and had excellent service the whole time. Would always recommend for a great laugh.

Booked an area here but we really wish we’d gone elsewhere. Not helped but the rowdy football fans, immediately greeted by being ignored alongside another lady as we were stood in the wrong place at the bar, the pub was absolutely filthy throughout and the toilets looked like they’d been completely trashed with the hand dryers hanging off the wall and broken toilets. Absolutely would not recommend coming here for any special occasion. The only good thing was one of the bouncers who was on was hilarious!

We went for our staff Christmas night out (yes in April, pub life!) and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Josh was our assigned server for the evening and nothing was too much trouble. We played interactive darts which was brilliant. There is a switch in your booth for you to signal to get service (turns a light above your head green), and Josh was over straight away to help. He gave us a thorough tour of how to use the games, and how to sort out the main 2 issues (darts not registering and missing the board). The whole team were smiley and friendly, and happy to help any way they could. We had a buffet which came out hot and beautifully presented. They even gave us takeaway boxes for the left over food. They were able to accommodate to my partner with a severe allergy, explaining how the allergen guide worked and even asking the kitchen if things were cooked in the same oil etc. Cannot recommend these guys anymore!! Thank you!

Staff very friendly and helpful ,we got 3 small plates of food which were great but a bit later we ordered 2 proper meals which were terrible,1 x Mac n cheese was like a gloopy mess and a ham and eggs ,I had 1 mouthful and left the rest , you could tell both had been kept warm for quite a while before we got them very disappointing

Not great ordered 2 breakfasts with no mushrooms after an hour we eventually got our breakfast we noticed there was no eggs on either and mushrooms on both we ordered a latte which never came and when we asked about it they said there was no milk which they could of came and told us or offered another option since it was paid for on the app also no apology from the staff which I fought came across quite rude.!

The doormen ruined our night! We were having a laugh all night. That was until the doormen decided to get jealous cos he was having to work. The doormen at this establishment instigate problems when there are not any. Be aware of the bald senior door man. He leads the kids and they just go along with him. Probably scared of him. Beware everyone if you visit this pub at the weekend when they have adult children on the doors.

Very pleasant service and welcome!! We ate well, the dishes were plentiful and the staff were very helpful. Thank you for everything !!

Popped in O'Neils whilst staying in Watford for 2 nyts 🍻 Food was hot & very nice 😋 Drinks was excellent also the staff worked really hard 🥵great pub to watch football ⚽️ Only thing which wasn't good the the toilets 🤯what we have been through with Covid surely cleanliness should be addressed 🙌urinals had 3 buckets under them 🤯The floor was swimming with some fluid 🥵 Toilets need addressing? Apart from that O'Neils is a good place to have a beer 🍺

Didn't have food here but great atmosphere here on Saturday night and very quick friendly service behind the bar with a great selection of beers available.

Visited in June 2023. We came here for a quick and cheeky activity after a day out shopping in Watford Town Centre. Arrowsmiths at O’Neills Watford was a really fun experience. The choice of dart games on offer was very good. Really impressive technology that breeds new life into the darts experience. Space was clean and tidy. This particular evening was quiet and we were served straight away. We had a thorough demonstration and left to play. We can order drinks to the area without going to the main bar, always handy. If you’re looking for some light hearted fun local to Watford, then look no further.

Went for some drinks after work. Nice place, relatively cheap and close to the station so ideal really. Didn't order any food so scored it a 3 as NA isn't an option.

Went in for lunch. Food was really good. I had the veggie burger which was lovely. Service was good. Atmosphere was nice, although it was quiet because it was lunchtime. Would definitely go again.

Lovely day out with some friends, I was served by a lovely girl called Hannah, she was quick with service, made sure we got our drinks in a timely fashion and had a very nice vibe, would deffo go again.

Great pub next to train station. I spent 4 hours here when my traim was delayed!
