Opened the food and found long black hair in it Tried calling and calling and no one will answer the phone I want my money back! It’s disgusting!

Came here to get a free burrito for National burrito day! The burritos were like bricks, so big, packed and filling! Great they give away such big burritos on this day! Love that you could choose add ons too, and the addition of spicy Chipotle, guacamole and chorizo, which all came together to make the beef burrito delicious! Will definitely be coming again!

Feeling absolutely robbed and scammed out of my money after this visit, will be the last time i do as standards are not what they used to be which is a shame. Prices have increased which is understandable but to reduce the food customers get by a significant amount is not justifiable. I used to always order a large chicken quesadilla which used to come with a bag of tortilla chips, salsa dip and sour cream on the side. However, the quesadilla now is not a quesadilla, it used to be made and cut into 4 slices but now they make it like a burrito and slice it in half. I was about to walk away whilst the staff were making it as i was appalled at the little filling they were putting into it. It now also just comes with the pot of salsa dip, no sour cream or tortilla chips, you have to pay extra for that. I used to be absolutely full from how the quesadilla that used to be made but this time i was left feeling hungry and disappointed, there were parts of the wrap that didn't have any filling in it whatsoever. Not worth the price paid and won't be returning.

Always very tasty well worth the money,and I must say Angie is very efficient well into here job knows it well very pleasant in always. I myself I'm from Wales it's a good lunch to munch on the train home.

Tortilla in Grand Central was one of my go to places to eat almost everyday after work - I usually got the large quesadilla. I was SHOCKED when I went back in the new year. I asked for a large pork quesadilla and while ordering was not told that this whole medium/large deal had changed and it is only one size medium. While looking at the lady putting the topics I was SHOCKED again to see how little of the salsa and pork was added on, although there was a generous amount of cheese. On receiving my order I was confused - not because I haven’t had the new quesadilla where it is cut into 2 instead of 4 - but because of how tiny and light it was. I went to ask whether it was medium or large - and then was told that it is just one size now. Well, this should’ve been pointed out to me when I asked for ‘large’ so I could’ve ordered a side as well. I’m so disappointed - Tortilla used to be one of my favourites, guess I’ll just have to make the New Mexican places like zambrero and zocalo my new go to. It is actually disgraceful how the quesadilla used to be bursting with toppings - I’m not saying it needs to be that way, but barely putting on any pork and filling it with cheese is NOT the solution. The whole restaurant was empty and rightfully so - I don’t see why anyone would want to pay big bucks for such small portions.

I ordered the food at 16:16 the food did not arrive until 18:15 . 2 hours for food !!!

The food here is great. I had the Christmas quesadilla which was really tasty with a mild dipping sauce. The service was friendly and fast. Only issue is the seating area is poorly maintained. The table I sat at had a broken chilli bottle that poured all over the table. Given that it was now dry and sticky it was pretty obvious nobody has come past to clean it in at least a few hours. Overall good food but perhaps they need to focus on keeping the area cleaner.

Extremely poor customer service

First time ordering at Tortilla. I had a lovely and friendly service led by Qasim along with Eden and Ammar. Food was delicious.

The layout was like Subway where the team passed your meal down and added all the different toppings etc. Up selling to start with, but the server was fine and dis not push when we just opted for medium. The service felt fast with multiple options and extras; e.g. guacamole for £1.30, but the servers were fine and didn't hassle us when we asked questions or declined paying any extra. The beans looked like they had been sat for a long time, tide mark around the container, but tasted fine. I had a burrito and the main content is rice, with a small scoop of your chosen main. Cheese and various salsas as well as beans were included. No additional salad, so pretty traditional. You could pay extra for sour cream and guacamole. A small tub, slightly larger than a McDonald's self serve sauce pot was the size. The guacamole tasted good with no brown bits to it and we saw the team making it fresh. Tables were small with small chairs which had low backs for some reason. Bench and banqueting seating was also available. Wooden forks were available. I also think metal knives were available, but they looked dirty so I did not bother with those. The three tacos were very small, so ideal for a light snack. Add fries or other extras if you are after more of a lunch.

Always my go to place in grand central. The naked burritos are flavourful and nutritious for around £8, its a safe option to pick as the reviews are saying the other options can be a let down

Being of the older generation I still get bemused by places like Tortilla. What to order? What's the process? What is in all the choices? The reason for this positive review is because the people who served me were patient, funny and kind to this old duffer and so I thoroughly enjoyed an excellent burrito and then toddled off to get my train. Nice spot to eat Mexican fast food. Decent flavours but still no truly Mexican. The staff were lovely.

Passing through town and looking for a place for food so I gambled on this one. Service was cold. But there were a large amount of vegetarian options. Potions were large also. Yet I would still not recommend this place. As it was pretty pricey and everything seemed so tacky. Like the crisps or nachos were just shipped in and fired on site to give you the feel of "fresh made food." Yet the food itself was soooooo salty. There was little in ways of taste as salt was the primary flavour. Tables were sticky and the cutlery was stained. With over priced food and high salt content and unfriendly service, I'll not be back too soon. Yet I hope you have a better experience. Take a gamble? 🤷

Scam. They have increased their prices and reduced their portions. I understand cost of living but to reduce portion sizes while increasing prices is disgraceful.

La señora del mostrador dijo que no podía hacer el reembolso como se había pedido a través de la aplicación, y que tendríamos que solicitar un reembolso de esa manera. No hay una manera sencilla de hacerlo en la aplicación y después de una semana de intentarlo, aún no hemos logrado obtener una respuesta del servicio al cliente, y mucho menos un reembolso. Cuando se comunicó a través de DM en Instagram se le ofreció una disculpa y un burrito gratis, pero eso no ayuda al hecho de que todavía tiene £ 31. 20 de su bolsillo.

Restaurant got my order wrong and i was really unhappy with it.

Great food let down by shocking customer service. The app charged my son twice for the food. The lady on the counter said she couldn't do the refund as it was ordered though the app, and that we'd have to request a refund that way. There isn't a straightforward way to do this on the app and after a week of trying we still haven't managed to get a response from customer service, let alone a refund. When he reached out via DM on Instagram he was offered an apology and a free burrito but that doesn't help the fact he's still £31.20 out of pocket.

The food was good, but the three employees who served us were all rude. I don't write bad reviews about people, I have worked in the same industry before, but seriously, customer service is always important. It was my first time to order and they didn't even bother to explain it to me properly. Had to experiment and every thing I pointed out, they just responded with an additional 1 pound. It's okay, but train your people to have a good attitude when explaining things to people who are unfamiliar so that they don't end up ordering crap and waste their money.

Great food, friendly staff. It’s in the food court area of the station so not exactly a calm spot, but decent seating. Could be cleaner but we found a nice spot to sit and eat.

Lovely Mexican food, the quesadillas and burritos are iconic, I love the loyalty card and system too. Have enjoyed a few free burritos with my girlfriend and will continue too as I can’t help myself getting a few whenever I go past.

I ordered chicken asado bowl and was sent a barbacao bowl. I’m a Hindu and Barbacao bowl contains beef, which I ate while I took the first bite of my food. Consuming beef is against my religious and this act has hurt my religious sentiments. I’m not ordering again from Tortilla and posting a very angry review about the same online.

Absolute waste of time told me my food would be with me 4:40 I paid for priority and it went past 4:40 and still said the person was waiting to pick my food up the status said wrapping up at 4:40 when it should of been with me at 4:40 one of the worst places to order from food was freezing

Staff were quiet and not very approachable. Didn’t speak loudly enough and then seemed frustrated when you couldn’t hear them. Cashier was rude. Food was tasty but wasn’t worth the amount you pay.

Horrible service. It was my first time coming here so I wasn’t familiar with all the salsas etc and staff were mumbling to me and were annoyed, making unpleasant facial expressions and looked hesitant to repeat themselves or talk louder. Burrito was just ok.

Expensive burritoes that contained a thimble of meat. Two tiny cubes of chicken to be precise. Disgraceful given the £12.99 price tag. Would not recommend at all unless you're happy with just beans rice and sweetcorn.

Heading home and fancied a burrito to stave on the hunger until tea time 😉 Yum yum had chicken and was very good. Servers very efficient and did the job. In, sit, eat and then gone all in 10 mins 👍

I eat here often (burritos are the best) the food is always good, but today I was served by Eden, Esther and another lad who I unfortunately didn’t catch his name. Everyone was so kind & full of positive energy, especially Esther. Work sucks but it’s lovely to see a team getting on so well and protecting such professional, kind & welcoming energy. I am a big lover of Tortilla and usually love it there. Please mind there was 3 people on shift at least, there was no big queue or anything like that, yet the cleaning station was overflown woth rubbish and tables were equally as bad. Mine and my friend's tortilla were not wrapped tightly enough and mostly were fallen apart, making it more like a burrito bowl, with no bowl... just mess. A shame really as the staff were nice and polite.

Nice meal, well prepared in the middle of the Grand Central Station in Birmingham City Center. Its perfectly located by the Bullring so that after shopping you can pop in for a quick meal.

Used to go a lot pre-COVID. Popped in last night on the way to the mighty Villa. The service was desperately slow. I could feel myself aging as I waited. And how come everything is a £1 extra now? Beef? That’s a £1, avocado? that’s a £1? Doubt I will ever bother again. More atmosphere in a vacuum. Think the grand central as a retail hub is slowly dying and the decline of service and quality in this place is indicative of the whole.

Great advice from Nicole about what to try as it was my first time eating there. And great advice it was! Comfy booths to sit in to eat - and clean & tidy! Great value for money.

I was missing half the food and drink. It was cold and pretty tasteless

Service was pretty good here but my gosh, the churros were soggy, cold and disgusting (they weren’t fried properly). The wrap was also not even cooked long enough. As my wrap was being prepared, their thermometer to monitor the temperature of the beef fell into the food - no apology or acknowledgement at all from the staff. The rice was cold too..

Great place, fresh food. My only gripe is that when you order a large you get the same amount of food than if you got a regular, just in a bigger container. If they were a bit more generous with the portions it'd be 5. Staff always very friendly though

The driver was friendly, much quicker than expected and it was a pleasure talking to him. The restaurant sent me the wrong order which i was not happy with but I have requested my money back with no issue
