Went on a sweet date night here and was absolutely amazed with the food, the service and the atmosphere. Had a really good experience. Would definitely visit again. Highly recommended.

Late lunch with 3 girlfriends - not been before. Absolutely loved it. I was worried the food may have been too hot , but not a problem. Tasty without the burn. Two friends had the lamb cutlets and we're stunned by the quality and taste. I had the ribeye - beautiful

Excellent food and service. Great non alcoholic cocktails. Right by the canal and Mailbox. The tacos were lovely, the peek had some fierce heat. Would make for a brilliant date night venue. Think the toilets were designed by Donald Trump or Saddam Hussein. Alot of gold.

Amazing brunch experience! Prachi gave 10/10 service throughout. We definitely had our money’s worth. The food was divine and presentation was amazing. Portions are generous and the drinks are strong. Prachi was even kind enough to bring out a sensational ‘Happy Birthday’ plate for my mum. We will be back Mayan 🤩

Divine food and lots of delicious drinks as part of the bottomless brunch offer. The restaurant is beautifully set and Prachi was a very attentive host. The restaurant is set near other bars so a fun evening can be easily had. Very grateful for our time here - thank you.

Excellent food service and atmosphere

The Mayan is an absolutely beautiful restaurant. Our party of 6 (plus one baby) were all visiting for the first time and we all eat out regularly. Without exception, each of us were dazzled by the food quality. One declared his ribeye to be the best he’d had in his life so far. All the dishes taste every bit as good as they look, colourful, imaginative and flavoursome. Particular thanks to our server Prachi, who has the ideal combination of attentive professionalism and great people skills. She was brilliant, a credit to The Mayan.

Had bottomless brunch here today and the food was fantastic, Drinks flowed and staff were all very attentive. Atmosphere only down as 3* as we were the only ones in as it was early but I can imagine the place lights up later in the day. 5*

Upbeat cocktails. I tried 3 cocktails, and each one was a step closer to the heavens. The steak is indescribable. Service top notch with a very responsive staff. I will come back.

Had a lovely time with my friend at the Mayan for her birthday. Prachi was our waiter and was attentive and friendly. And Prachi held a nice birthday for my friend! Thank you ! The food was also good and came quickly.

Being Latin myself the Latin cuisine here is fantastic. We ordered a chicken and one beef empanadas as starters followed by steaks with sides of fries for our main. Everything was cooked to absolute perfection, no faults and no improvements here at all. For our desserts we chose the churros and cheesecake, I believe they make their gelato at home which cannot be missed if you come here. The restaurant is also beautiful. It is a little on the pricier side (all of this came to £180 with service charge) but extremely worth it

We found this lovely Mexican cuisine, and the restaurant was amazing. The guacamole is a must have together with the Croquettes, and homebaked bread. 🤩 Prachi offered us great service as well. 🙏 Thanks Mayan, we’ll be back.

The food here was amazing! I wanted to mention Erika who served us was fantastic and so knowledgeable, and aware of my allergy made known to them. I also asked for two French Martini's and she said she'd speak to the bar staff, and she made it happen! Super lady :)

Maravilloso entorno, ambiente muy agradable y decoración. Los tacos de pollo que compartimos y fueron lo más destacado. Tenía el vientre de cerdo que era maravilloso, pero faltaba una profundidad de sabor para que fuera memorable. Muy buenos cócteles, no podíamos fallar. Pedimos un Martini francés y el bar nos creó uno aunque no en el menú.

Mayan is truly a divine restaurant with amazing food. I had a Baja Fish Taco for starter and Lubina y Gambas for main. Which is thoroughly enjoyed. The sauce was spectacular. The ambience is lovely as is the decor. Definitely, a place to go if you like tasty food and pictures for the gram 😘

We visited to celebrate both my partner’s and cousin’s birthdays, but the experience was incredibly disappointing from start to finish. Our food initially arrived cold, and after a long wait for it to be replaced, it was still subpar—completely lacking in flavour. By the time the meals were eventually brought out, the rest of our table had already finished eating, leaving the two birthday guests without a proper dining experience. Adding to the concern, there were stickers left on the tomatoes in my salad, which were nearly consumed. When raised with management, this was casually dismissed and not taken seriously at all. As a so-called “gesture of goodwill,” we were told we had received a discount, only to discover this was simply the removal of the OPTIONAL service charge—something that shouldn’t have been charged in the first place given the situation. Only after challenging this was any meaningful gesture offered. To make matters worse, I experienced severe food poisoning a few days later, which I believe was caused by the ceviche. I contacted the manager, Giannis, and was again met with a dismissive response—no real apology, no sense of accountability, and certainly no proper goodwill gesture. This entire experience raises serious health and safety concerns, and I would strongly advise others to think twice before dining here, considering we spent £500+. The only positive note was our waitress, who remained kind, attentive, and professional throughout—she was an absolute credit to the team

The design and decor are unique and stylish, with just the right lighting to create a warm, intimate atmosphere without feeling too dark. It really adds to the overall vibe and made the evening feel that much more special. Highly recommend The Mayan for a memorable night out – we’ll definitely be back!

I received the best customer service I could ever ask for, the waitress name was Erika she was nice, polite and ensured that we were okay and satisfied the whole time she made us feel very comfortable since it was our first time. And the food was 10/10 I definitely recommend this place

Beautiful place, lovely drinks and great atmosphere: We had excellent service from Marie - couldn’t ask for better - and Yannis the manager, who ensured we were always being well looked after.

Would of been 5 star but restaurant closes at 11pm on a Monday and at 10.20pm we ordered a coffee to be told the machine was cleaned and not available now and similar with the deserts we wanted told the kitchen was cleaned and not available either , great food but why open till 11pm if nothing available 45 minutes before closed , having worked in similar restaurants I do understand the staff want to get out asap but a coffee ? Come on

I Very nice surprise! Stumbled across Mayan while walking past the mailbox looking for a bite to eat and a drink. We booked the tier 2 bottomless brunch and were happily surprised. The place was quiet when we arrived around 1 p.m., but soon got lively. The food was really tasty, and the drinks and service were very good. Parachi was our host, and nothing was too much trouble; she was quick at bringing orders to the table. £55 per person, I thought, was very reasonable for a more upmarket brunch. Would come again.

First of all I really commend the service as I did have some special requests upon booking which may have disqualified us from the booking but to my surprise through your understanding of the issue it didn't and we were able to continue since I was called the morning of the booking to confirm all was okay! Secondly the staff were all extremely friendly and have great customer service, the food was BURSTING with flavour, waiters were patient, drinks didn't take abnormally long and overall the entire experience was prestigious, bougie and a true fine dining experience. Such a stunning restaurant! We came on a quiet Tuesday evening however the ambience was gorgeous! Thanks so much for having us and I will CERTAINLY be back! Rayanah,

Superb! They do it well here. T bone steak, padron peppers, fries, local produce (D)gin. My only slight negative is the steak was the South American style of just-warm when served. Although it's soo tasty it won't be on your plate for long. Definitely worth a visit... I'll be going back for sure.

With its gorgeous Mayan-inspired interiors, The Mayan delivers on aesthetics just as much as it does on flavour! The menu showcases the diverse flavours that define Mexican cuisine. Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious. The Brochetas De Pollo (chicken skewers) is a must try! The menu offers plenty of variety including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and Halal options. The staff are friendly and attentive. While The Mayan is on the pricey side, It's definitely worth visiting for special occasions or date night ✨

Went here for a friend’s birthday with a table of 8 people and wow what a disappointment. Not one person on our table enjoyed their food! Whilst the atmosphere and restaurant are both stunning, nobody wants to spend those prices on under-seasoned bad quality food! This was hands down the worst food I’ve eaten in a long time! The restaurant really needs to revamp the menu and chef’s and put the same attention to detail here as they have in their branding - the place is surviving off footfall and location alone

The restaurant is so nice, the staff is so kind and really professional, but if you are looking for a typical mexican restaurant, this is not your place. The food was like a normal restaurant (the food we ordered). Also the music (DJ) was so high (I couldn't hear my partner/staff when they asked me about the order), looks like a disco instead a restaurant. For the price is so much better options! I'm so sorry for staff, because they were brilliant!

Lovely place with great staff. They made the birthday we were celebrating so special as well which was lovely! An experience worth returning for! The chimichurri was amazing and The desserts are so decadent we got the chocolate bomb which was really rich and tasty.

Booked for an evening meal after seeing so much hype online. Initially it was lovely and we were excited to try the cocktails as the menu for them was extensive, however when we received them realised how small they are for the price and how the ice they use makes up the majority of space in the glass. Compared to prices and quantity you get at other venues it’s disappointing to say the least. Food was good and we were happy with the starters, until we received our mains. £45 for a steak that got chewier and chewier, even as medium rare! Upside was the truffle fries as a side. Staff were nice and extremely attentive but we were asked every 5 minutes by them if all was okay, if we wanted wine or dessert etc and I guess it varies for people, but personally we just like to be left with our meal. Music was also very loud. Overall nice place but considering the price, I don’t think very worth it. We won’t be revisiting.

Ok so nothing to rave about. The food was ok, nothing wrong with it but nothing exciting about it. The cocktails are poor, they also come with cool shaped ice HOWEVER the glass was less than a quarter full if you pull that piece of ice out. Wouldn’t come back. Staff also hound your table to see if you have finished every 5 minutes. Entertainment keeps this place afloat. Decor was really nice

Visited Mayan last Saturday with my family, and we had an amazing experience! From the moment we arrived, Yiannis and the team made us feel so welcome. The service was excellent—attentive and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the lamb chops! The highlight of the nights was the amazing music and dancing show !Highly recommend Mayan and will definitely be returning!

Excellent food, Excellent service

I really wanted to love this place, but unfortunately, it fell short. While the restaurant has a trendy vibe, the food was a major letdown. Everything was significantly under-seasoned and overpriced for what it was. Most of the staff were great, but the initial interaction with the hostess was rude and unwelcoming. The atmosphere was also a miss for me – far too dark and loud to enjoy a meal or conversation. To top it off, the restroom was in a state of disrepair with a broken toilet seat. I should have paid more attention to the lower-rated reviews. This place has potential, but needs serious improvements in food quality, atmosphere, and maintenance. Until then, I won't be returning.

A lovely family meal out yesterday thanks to the team at Mayan. Food - Impeccable. Atmosphere - Electric. Service - Above and beyond (A really big thank you to Manoj - who was professional and very attentive). ❤️

So here for daughter 16th. We were booked in at 6.30pm. We arrived early by half an hour so decided to get drinks first. We waited 20 mins before getting served. Only appeared to have 1 person working the bar on a Saturday night. We wernt seated on time and had to wait a further 20 mins to half hour before our table was ready, due to a previous large party, but there was no urgency from staff to advise the party to leave and they just stood there. Then when table was ready, we were seated on separate tables. We were a party of 12 and they said they didn't have a table for 12. So we had to then try and make sure we were all sat together. That was another ball ache to sort, and quite frankly stressful. We didn't get our starter until 7.50pm. The food wasn't hot and lacked taste. The chips were cold. The food was just tasteless and could not justify the high prices. Don't believe the hype on this place, it's just not worth the money. Although we can afford to eat in places like this, I have eaten at cheaper restaurants with better service and taste. Will not recommend.

PS get few drinks at the bar with Kieran! His tequila and mezcal knowledge is mindblowing! Every bottle has a story!

We was served by a young asian lady, she was polite and efficient. However, i would say that is the only good thing about this restaurant ! The food was unseasoned, especially the steak as it was hard and not prepared well, the texture was chewy. The drinks were bland and didn’t meet the expectations I had, considering they have so many good reviews. The fries were alright, but they came out nearly cold and not crispy. The salmon was nice but the sauce that came with the salmon was not nice at all and had a creamy taste to it which doesn’t make sense with the flavours that the salmon had. I was then even contemplating to eat the salad, but unfortunately the salad came out in clumps of big pieces of onions, uncut tomatoes with no lettuce or seasoning. This is not a what i expected, considering the price of the food and drinks. Everything was overpriced and I think the restaurant needs to focus more on the food instead of the decorations. A waste of money and time, will definitely not be returning here again ever !

A visually appealing restaurant - if a little bling for my taste. The food was really disappointing - odd spongy tortillas and aggressively salted toppings. Generally low standard Mexican good on offer. Two beers and two orders of tacos per person was nearly £50 each.

The food presentation was lovely but for the price tag, the taste was just ok. The place is nice in terms of decor and ambience but I wouldnt recommend it if you are after a really nice meal. There were 10 of us and nobody really enjoyed the food. We waited quite a while between starters and mains and had to ask for the staff to keep checking with the kitchen. No kids food available but they accommodated with chicken wings minus the spicy sauce and chips. Wouldnt go back, service and food was a let down.
