Las Iguanas in Birmingham

Had the nicest server Charlotte who made us feel super welcome and had such speedy service even on a busy evening! The food and drinks were delicious, would definitely eat here again

I visited the restaurant on Saturday and haven’t been to a Las Iguanas in a while. The service was very friendly thanks to our waiter, Justin. The food though was not up to standard. We ordered chicken burger that was concerning chewy in the middle. Not one to make a fuss, we ate it and prayed for no food poisoning (thankfully not). I understand that prices have gone up everywhere, but nearly £20 for a chicken burger that was chewy is quite steep. Couldn’t fault the service at all. Good atmosphere and good vibes

Music was so loud I could not hear the person sitting opposite me. I'm not sure how you sre supposed to enjoy a meal in that environment. I would understand if I'd gone in at 9pm but it was 5:30pm and the music level was like a club at 2am.

Went for dinner Saturday evening. Shown to our table, but it was right under the air con outlet so have a cold draught blowing down on us. Asked if we could move and the waitress was lovely and offered us a different table, albeit with the same problem on the other side of the restaurant. It was marginally warmer so we stuck with it. Drinks and food order taken at the same time. Mains arrived but had to ask where the drinks were. They turned up a few minutes after we started eating. Some of the food wasn't super hot and sitting under the air con outlet it very quickly got cold. The mixed grill was a joke for the cost, a very small sewer of chicken, same steak and one with a few bits of chorizo sausage. With chips, rice, corn and a couple of half cooked onion rings for £28! 2 for 1 cocktails are poor, I doubt there was any alcohol in them or what there is was split between to 2. The amount of syrup they use make them taste terrible and overpowers any other flavour, making them sickly and not nice to drink. Overall a bit poor and we won't be rushing back as there are way more options that are better value.

Unlike other places I’ve been to, they ensure that the drinks kept coming for our bottomless brunch. Would definitely recommend!

So the initial server told us we can use two deals (one being if the free pina colada and the other the 2-4-1 meals) Jenny/Jenna/Jenifer the manager said we can only use one deal so my friend said that we are entitled to 2-4-1 pina coladas then. Which the manager agreed to, she then proceeded to tell my friend that she was being aggressive, my friend responded saying “sorry if i came across like that but I definetly wasn’t, but can I have your name please”. The manager said “I know you’re going to write a complaint”, my friend said “but what if I wasn’t?” The manager said “But I know you will”, so my friend responded saying “You’re very passive aggressive” and the manager had the NERVE and UNPROFESSIONALISM to say “I know” and skipped off. This happened 29/9/24 at around 9pm. We have gone to this branch many times for bottomless and to celebrate birthdays and this was the first time we had such awful customer service, we not be returning. Food is horrible, didn't want to finish it, just stick with a burger and fries, if you actually want to eat and not waste money. Not authentic Latin American food. Drinks are delicious, definitely recommend the pina colada!

I visited IGUANAS on a weekday and took advantage of their two-for-one drinks deal, which was fantastic! The drinks were great, and we really loved the value. Our server, Courtney, was courteous, attentive, and very helpful, making the experience even more enjoyable. We ordered the enchiladas, and they were absolutely delicious—so fresh, with generous portions. The restaurant is spacious, making it a great spot for larger groups. Overall, it was a wonderful visit, and I’ll definitely be returning soon!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Las Iguanas in Birmingham from 7:30 PM until 10 PM, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a warm and friendly hostess named Jenna, who made me feel immediately welcome. Her kindness set the tone for the evening, and it was clear that the staff at Las Iguanas take great pride in their work. The atmosphere was vibrant and inviting, with a lively energy that made it a perfect spot for a night out. The decor was colourful and reflective of the Latin American theme, which added to the overall charm of the place. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that we had everything we needed while also creating a relaxed environment. Welcomed for bottomless brunch, 1st drinks brought quickly menu explained and the drinks kept flowing. Felt throughly looked after great atmosphere.

It was a very busy this time when we were here and staff were working their butts off but it was packed and had about 30 mins wait for the ordering drinks

Visited last weekend with family. I started with some cocktails, which are great and 241 all the time! They were super tasty. I had the chicken skewers meal. There wasn't much flavour on the chicken itself, but the dip it came with was nice. The corn on the cob was delicious, best I've ever had. I tried a family members steak skewers and they were really nice - I will definitely have them next time. The music is just a little loud to catch up with whoever you're eating with and makes getting attention from staff hard.

To be honest, I don't like cocktails. Somehow not my cup of tea. But my friends invited me here, and I changed my mind. If you want to try cocktails, this is your place. The cocktail menu is as long as “War and Peace” so you can find the best drink which matches your current mood. Or your hair colour or your clothes. Up to you. About the staff: If you are not an expert - like me - they will help you to make the best decision. If you are an expert in cocktails, then you just sit down and order online with a QR code, or you can ask from the bar. The price? Lots of options there to “Buy one get one free” which means you order one and two will arrive without any questions. This is not a complaint because you will drink both of them, I guarantee that. So, if you are in Birmingham, you must be visiting the place.

My partner and I came here for a meal out and loved it. The atmosphere is perfect from the minute you walk in. The food was absolutely amazing, I highly recommend the smokey chipotle chicken wings for the starter. The cocktails were also delicious (especially the caipirinha and blue lagoon) and great value for money. Unfortunately I didn’t catch anyone’s names but all staff were extremely friendly and enthusiastic. Thank you Las Iguanas will definitely be returning!!!
