a classic good experience , tasty food, good portions ,very good service , green surrey and beef penang curry , rice dishes, spring rolls and a banana fritter . all done well and of good quality , taste and portion size . good veg and vegan options. Service was excellent, polite, friendly very good manners, came back time and time again to ask if we needed anything else , very professional and much better than 99% of places you will go at this price point .. very old school trained waiting staff who actually enjoy they jobs and want to be there as opposed to the moody , chip on the shoulder I'm to good to serve you millennial and gen z staff you generally come across elsewhere .. Highly recommended to try , just all positives . an excellent offering at this price point ...

Very quick and efficient and friendly service. We got the duck curry and the chicken with black bean sauce. It was tasty but a little too salty for our liking.

Tried the vegan pad Thai which was nice 8/10. The orange colour sauce was kinda unique. Also tried the vegan drunken noodles but it was nothing like the drunken noodles I enjoy at Rosa’s Thai chain. This was not very Thai but closer to Japanese given that the noodles are a Japanese type & likely soy sauce based sauce. To be fair, it does state Udon noodles on the menu, but still it’s the kind of dish you might expect at Wagamamas rather than a Thai restaurant 😅 6.5/10. Was fun to try anyway Still, I enjoyed the pad Thai and it’s great to see such a large vegan menu section with many options! 🌱☺️ Hope to go back to try the rice based dishes 🍚

Nice Thai place on Chiswick High Street. I went for tempura prawns and Vegetables spring rolls. Tempura prawns tasted nice, a bit oily. The spring rolls tasted nice, they were very peppery, but I like black pepper so it was ok for me. Nice interior, good service 👍

Great food and service and good location.

I eat here every couple of months and the food is always great! Spring rolls, pad Thai and drunken noodles are our particular favourites. Also has a great vegan menu!

The food is not authentic Thai food as you expect. We ordered drunken noodles which came with the wrong type of noodles and no taste or seasoning and also very greasy. The papaya salad did not taste of anything! My boyfriend vomimited and couldn’t move for hours after the meal. Please do not go this restaurant if you want to have a good Thai meal!!!!!

Mediocre place, the starters were really quite dirty and tasteless. So I advise you to just skip it, unless you go for a soup, which seemed to be fine. Dinner was also fine, not delicious but good enough to eat. The lady who helped us seemed quite grumpy/sullen, so that's a shame. In terms of atmosphere it seemed fine, it's a shame that the chairs are not very comfortable and that we were sitting right next to the cash register, which doesn't really improve the atmosphere. Anyway, I wouldn't come back here myself, but if you take everything together it's not a bad place.

Got a takeaway here and the portion size of the satay is an absolute joke. This cost £6.95 and it’s pretty obvious they ran out of chicken. Did ring the restaurant and was handled very well by their staff.

Vegan and first time trying Thai food. Justin served us today and he recommended every dish we ordered. His knowledge on the food/ menu was outstanding. We loved every dish and desert. We will definitely recommend and go back. Jason himself is such an amazing , friendly, professional person. He’s personality is full of joy. Great experience.

The patience of the staff because my elderly friend was very slow to choose, consume and pay for food and slow entering and exiting the restaurant.

Had an amazing meal, starters and mains, the tempura prawn and the pumpkin curry were particularly great. The service was very speedy and friendly. The music good, space well set up but still felt private between all tables despite the small space, and smelt so appetising from start to finish. Was almost put off by some reviews but so glad I came anyway - would definitely like to return!

The curry chicken noodles are bland. No freshness from the sticky soup and soggy rice noodles. Together, it's a necessarily heavy bowl of noodles. The chicken breast is quite chewy and dry.

Was very impressed with both the food and service! I got a prawn fried rice special and was really pleased, it tasted like a home cooked meal. The staff were very friendly.

I’ve been ordering from Torthai for around a year and the chicken massaman/green curry are absolutely incredible. Cannot recommend more highly for Thai food.

Picked this place through Google reviews but also walking past. Food was amazing with speedy service (which is even more impressive with the number of takeaway couriers turning up). Lovely atmosphere and attentive staff. Couldn’t fault this restaurant!

Great tasty food and good portion sizes

Came for meal with a friend & wasn't overly impressed with this place. Service not very friendly or helpful. My friend ordered prawn pad Tai & was served with a chicken one. When she complained they took it away & gave her back the same dish with 5 prawns added. No apology so clearly they do not care about customer service. Fortunately, my friend isn't pescatarian. I would not trust this place & will never return..

Reliably delicious, classic Thai options with great fresh flavour

First time trying it out here, all I can say is that the starters we had ordered was good, however some food was a bit soggy and fried rice was just bland. For the toilets had to walk through their basement and storage for it. From the past reviews of other people, that bell/ chime at the door gets annoying!

Descent food however it took us nearly an hour to be served as they give priority to deliveries and take aways. The waitor was nice , the waitress was more of upsaling food that we didn't want to have. I tried the same food in Thailand, it didn't feel the same.

Ordered on Deliveroo. Vegetable spring rolls were delicious. However, the Fried Rice with Vegetables was overdosed with salt and I could only manage a few mouthfuls. In the bin it went! Torthai, you should be able to get the basics right when it comes to seasoning. What were you trying to do, poison me?!! 😤 Disappointed as have ordered from Torthai in the past.

Our dinner at Tor Thai in Chiswick was an extremely unpleasant experience as we were seated by the front door. The restaurant was very drafty and there was the most annoying loud wind chime by the door. Being seated close to the exit, we had to tolerate the cold draft and the irritating wind chime whenever the door opened to hand over take outs to the delivery men. We mentioned the draft and the wind chime to a waitress who passed it on to her manger who did nothing about it and did not even come up to us to say something. The restaurant was small and cramped and it was not unusual for the busy staff to knock against the customer’s chairs and coats as they rushed about. Apart from the noisy wind chime, we could hear the dishes being stacked! I am very familiar with Thai food and can recognise good food! Sadly, this did not meet expectations!

I've been coming here for years & I tend to order pickup or delivery more often than eating in, but I do eat in from time to time. Something has changed for the worse, they used to be great with very authentic Thai food but lately everything tastes bad. Last night we picked up food, it was all terrible & the last 2 times we got delivery it was also awful. Too much salt, incorrect flavours - did they sell the business & the new owners cook awful food or did they get a new chef that is awful? Last night we had Fish Cakes that were the most rubbery & tough I've ever had in the world! Very salty too. The Duck Rolls were not done properly, reminded me of a Chinese style spring roll instead of a Thai version which is very different. Penang Curry was watery & flavourless while it should be thick & creamy with coconut cream but it definitely wasn't. Also even the rice was short grain which is typically Chinese - this restaurant never used to use short grain for their meals. The contents of the curry was meager, very few vegetables. Lastly the Tamarind Duck is usually a stir fry, this time it came out roasted & covered in deep fried crispy onions, which made the flavour just yuck. I see a lot of reviews saying they won't return & I'm one of them now.

Staff were amazing, so friendly and speedy service. The main course massaman was soooo salty, it wasn’t great. The starters were top notch. I don’t think we will return given the other reviews and our experience with the main course, honestly I’m concerned about my dehydration from the salt over the next 12 hours.

I ordered Tom Yam and Dim Sum. Dim Sums were those you can buy at the supermarket frozen. It’s not authentic Thai food at all and Shame to serve people with the supermarket food. I also asked the waiter how they cook dim sums and couldn’t get any comprehensible reply . Tom Yam was brought without rice which I had to order separately. It’s never the case in authentic Thai place

This was a delivery order. I ordered my favourite meal, Pad Thai - but I can’t say that I liked their version. I wouldn’t be ordering this with them any more. The service was fast and it was nicely packed, but the meal wasn’t tasty. And this is my favourite meal for more than 20 years so, yes, I have tried it in many restaurants.

We had our Christmas Eve dinner here. Everything was really good! The waitress was really nice. I recommend the duck and the banana fritter! Merry Christmas!

The fixed lunch price displayed on their website was incorrect, and we ended up paying quite a bit more. Portions were a bit mean and our waiter seemed unhappy to have us in the restaurant.

Amazing food, totally addicted. From soups to curry's to stirfry's, I can't praise it enough. And their prawn crackers are something else! And when i called to ask about some missing prawn crackers, they'd run out and cooked some more specially and sent them over - and included a spare bag. So service above and beyond!! Highly recommend.

Great Thai food at a reasonable price. We booked online and got 50% off the bill. Well worth it, the pad thai was delicious, and the chicken dishes were great too. Finished off perfectly with the donut dessert.

the drink r good but they always gave me ice more the the actual drink...always full cup of ice left after drinking..even though I tell them to give me less ice , what will they do is the volume will be more less

Nice food, atmosphere feels like home and people are very relaxed. Only 1 point of improvement in the Prawns soup we had only 4 prawns for the whole plate. Other than this what a great experience!!

Sadly, having eaten from/ ordered from this restaurant previously. The quality and the care has dropped significantly, and I will not be returning or recommending for the foreseeable. I ordered dim sum and duck spring rolls- absolutely awful! Clearly store bought and frozen, terrible taste and consistency. A simple main was ordered for the two of us dining. Pad Thai, and a white steamed fish… it took nearly 2 hours! We kept checking and we kept getting a giggle or a hand wave. In the meantime it was clear that the delivery drivers were the priorities of the evening and those in the restaurant were not important. No care. The pad Thai was over cooked and nearly no prawns or veg. The white fish was a joke! And when asked, the restaurant confirmed it was a frozen fish fillet, but couldn’t even clarify what the fish was?!. It barely counted as a meal in its size! We were so hungry and tired we just ate and reflected dimly, the bill came, and the cost was insane for what was offered ordered and received. It’s sad to say of a place I previously enjoyed.

What an amazing restaurant. Fabulous food, fantastic service, classy yet understated decor and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. I enjoyed the music...loud enough to hear but not too intrusive to disrupt conversation. Wonderful experience, would definitely recommend. Booking advisable. Oh, great choice for Vegetarians & Vegans.

And I finally had a dine in experience. Green chicken curry, stir fry beef with ginger and egg fried rice. Great atmosphere and the food is so comforting I tried the Pad Thai noodles and the green chicken curry. Robust flavours, authentic and did not disappoint. Will surely order or visit this place again

Well what can I say paid almost £20 Pad Thai with a side and I have to say this place is way over rated. Food is basic and I only got 4 pieces of chicken with the whole box being made of Noodles and peanuts. Worst decision and I can’t see myself coming back. And I am a first time customer. Very disappointing.

Dropped in during “closed hours” as per Google Maps but they were open. Really friendly and fast service, plus plenty gluten free options. Would go again!

Prawns in pad thai are not fresh.

Starting with the service, it was truly excellent. The Duck Drunken Noodles from the special menu, however, leaned a bit too heavily on the oily and salty side for my personal taste. On a positive note, the Thai Green Curry proved to be a delightful surprise which offered a perfect level of flavour and spiciness. I look forward to returning for another visit, eager to explore and savor the other dishes on offer.

Staff are friendly but our food was below average. The Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles were both poor and lacking most ingredients you would commonly expect in those dishes. They were very one dimensional dishes and not authentic at all.

Pad Thai was plain awful, green curry just about ok but I ran out of rice halfway through. More of an „asian fusion” restaurant, definitely NOT authentic thai food. We both got very upset tummies after having their chicken dishes.

Amazing Thai food and good service

Pretty mediocre “Thai.” The menu includes spring rolls, dim sum and tempura. Why in a Thai restaurant? I ordered the basil chicken. What arrived was more like something you’d get in China Town with big chunks of capsicum in a thin, one-note spicy soya sauce mixture. They didn’t even use Thai basil. The strangest thing is the staff are Thai. It’s obviously their choice to cater to British customers who they think won’t know the difference. For people who don’t know Thai food, it’s fine. For those who do, a definite miss.

Have visited this restaurant many times now. The food is absolutely delicious and the serving staff are very pleasant and accommodating. It is very reasonably priced and somewhere that I will be visiting again very soon. Couldn’t recommend this place more, a real gem

Overall, only average and not really authentic Thai food. The Pad Thai was good and the fish cakes were pleasant but the chicken green curry was extremely watery rather than made with coconut milk and was underwhelming in flavour. The sticky rice was over cooked and was very rubbery. The protein portions were extremely tiny and were also over cooked (chicken was hard and dry). The thai server was really lovely but the service was very rushed - clearing plates before everyone at the table had finished - giving the impression that you were being rushed out. Probably wouldn’t return. Such a shame as we really want to support our local restaurants.

Went for dinner and had a selection of curries (red, green, lamb) that we shared and a pad thai. Service was polite and accomodating. The food arrived within good time and was excellent! Just the right balance of aromatic and with a warm and gentle spiciness, and was very reasonably priced as well. Will definitely be back!

I feel a little bit bad to give this place so few stars for the food as the service was excellent. The serving staffs were smiley and lovely and they definitely deserve 5 stars. However the Thai food was only average. Some spicy calamari pieces were very chewy. Papaya salad had more grated carrots than raw papaya. Three flavours fish had 4 pieces of fish only. The chicken drunken noodles (I asked to swap beef for chicken) was tasty and I quite enjoyed the fish cakes. Reasonably priced at about £70 for 5 dishes, rich, and drinks.

We booked for a party of 16 after being recommended the restaurant. From the moment we sat down they were rushing us. They took the menus from us while we waited for the rest of our party, took orders from some of the table not the rest, came and took a chair away to ask the little boy with our group to sit on our laps so they could use the chair for someone else and were just quite rude. When I complained to the waitress she kept talking over me and laughed. I’ve never experienced service like it. It was a shame because the food was actually quite nice. Important to also note they do not have changing facilities for babies

Finding an excellent restaurant sometimes can be a daunting job. However the decision to step foot in this clean and well lit ambiance of a restaurant is not only heavenly but a privilege. Quick service and delicious meals.

I have been to this restaurant which is the reason why I went back on the 7th. As ever the food and service were excellent,it was mid afternoon so not many customers.very good value for money

The taste of this pad Thai was terrible . It is the worst I’ve ever tasted . I called the restaurant to complain but they didn’t do anything to compensate. Very bad food . Not worth it.

This place is great. Quite, cosy, great food, great service. Have been before and will be back. Ginger chicken stir-fry, and vegetarian res Thai curry were both spot on and packed with flavour. Glad this place survived the lockdown as some didn't in Chiswick. Will be back .

Amazing place. Lovely Decor and great menu. Big Thanks to JJ for serving us for the evening and handling our specific diet with such ease. We wanted our orders to be specifically Jain Diet with Vegan without Fish, Mushrooms, Onion, Garlic and Aubergines and there were so many amazing dishes that we could try. The food was fantastic and really great in taste.

Gyozo and fish cakes were lovely as starters. Massaman was nicely light but too salty for my taste. Service was quick and informative as they are clearly part of the team.

Good Thai food and very kind service!

First time eating here earlier this week - the waiting staff were fantastic. We were allowed to sit outside with our dog, who was given water and even a special plate of dog food!! We experienced an unexpected power cut - the whole street plunged into darkness - again, the staff were great - the food was yummy, will be returning for sure. The Garlic, Black Pepper (GBP) tofu was fantastic as were the corn cakes! Thank you for the great service - and for treating our doggy so well 😊

Myself and my partner ate here and I would 100% call it one of Londons hidden gems! The food was amazing, very very reasonable for what you got and it was absolutely on point. I could go on but if your visiting and don't eat here what are you doing with your life. I will also say please ignore the boring reviews, probably from locals who eat at overly priced restaurants who charge just to sit never mind to eat. As a northerner visiting London, this place was well good, definitely worth a visit!

Poor, food was below par at best sat right next to the door which kept opening was freezing it made the food cold very quickly and for the price I would have been better at a local takeaway would have been more worth the amount paid

Everything was fine, but doesn't amaze you. Decor was cozy and slightly too dark for my liking bit that's personal perspective. Staffs are friendly and price is reasonable.

Very messy. Waiters look around from the back, rather than serving. They do a lot of take away, so the traffic of deliveries is constant making it super crowded and cold in winter (the door is left open). Sauces are very sweet and disappointing. No idea about the mains, they took so long that we had to leave. The door bells are very loud and go off constantly with the deliveries (several times a minute) adding to the feeling of overall messiness and rush. It’s just unpleasant to sit there. Go somewhere else…

The quality of the food has drastically dropped. It felt like we were eating a dish made during lunch but served for dinner. Nothing felt Fresh, Pad Thai tasted a day old. Duck dish was muchy, GBP looked nothing like advertised. Used to go few months ago but won't be returning until food quality improves.
