Torquay Marina in Torbay

Great walk around the marina, picking which boat is going to be mine 😆

"M.D.L. MARINAS TORQUAY 2025".. Berthed here are 20 plus luxurious cabin cruisers, sometimes they are taken out on trips, some of the owners have onboard parties which can be quite noisy.. Berthing a vessel, then you can ask for a quotation of applicable fees, based on the lenghth of your vessel with additional charges for electricity, fuel, parking a vehicle in the covered and private car park.. Many of the vessels can be seen out in The Bay when the Torquay Air Show takes place and a sea tour vessel from Teignmouth is usually in attendance.. Jet Skis are also berthed here and it is advisable to take a pre booked professional jet ski course before venturing out on your own.. All the luxurious boats are fitted out with powerful marine engines which can consume 1 gallon of fuel per 4 miles, that is 3x as much fuel that is consumed by a public service double decker bus.. 👻 Will electric marine engines be introduced in the near future.. 🤔 Certain luxury cruisers can be hired for an afternoon tea party, all day if you have a well funded group of tourists.. Information signage can be found near to the Marina Security Office and it is advised that those using the facilities and cruising out in The Bay should read and adhere to certain precautionary protocols.. The Bay is a protected wildlife area where one can observe all manner of wildlife species, consideration and thoughtfulness should be given to such wildlife species.. The Marina Security Office is manned 24/7, staff are generally helpful and should be advised of any intruders, inconsiderate behaviour by operational vessels.. If you have any complaints regarding the storing of trawler equipment next to the Marina Security Office then you should address them to the Harbour Master Office adjacent to the 'D Day Dispersal Ramps'.. A memorial to commemorate D Day Veterans can also be found on that side of The Marina.. If any fuel, hydraulic oil spillages are visable then these should also be reported to the Harbour Masters Office as details, information regarding such fuels, oils is logged and stored.. "M.D.L. Love the MDL marina, well run and spotlessly clean facilities and in the best boating location in the south west.

Beautiful place many yachts and boats and restaurants around the marina.

Some.bars and shops. Good access to the water via large but busy slipway. Plenty of parking nearby but be warned it's very expensive and very active/over the top/extremely prompt ticketing from wardens. Torbay council need to take a look at themselves.

Beautiful but very pricey if you want fish and chips lovely harbour

Good level of facilities, more maintenance required for door to shower / toilets. Berths can be tricky to negotiate in stronger winds. Expensive.

I did not visit, I took my boat outside that marina so cannot answer questions.

Went out with friends on the speed boat to look at the local coastline

Lots to see and due boat trips sum of the cafe and places to eat were expensive but a great place

Could be a nice place for boat owners but for pedestrians it is a bit basic.

Nice picturesque place, but so many high street shops closed down and the amount of homeless druggies begging and sleeping in empty shop doorways is shocking! 24th August 2024 now, and the last time I was here was 17 years ago - sadly the area has gone downhill so much. Probably won't be back for another 17 years now.

A nice expanse of water easy on the eye and a beautiful breeze to accompany your thoughts as you sit on the benches and enjoy the view.

Torquay Marina is a wonderful place to visit, with its stunning views and surrounding area full of diverse shops and restaurants. The surrounding landscape is picturesque, and the wheel offers an amazing perspective of the marina below and there's plenty to see and do here, including clothing shops, grocery stores, and even toy stores to keep everyone entertained. Plus, the parking system is efficient and easy to navigate, charging only £5 for the whole day no matter how many hours you stay!

Pretty views, few eateries, ice-cream and candy floss stalls, fishing excursions by boat and then there's Torquay Watersports for a 70mph rib ride around Torbay (Torquay, Paignton and Brixham - the so-called 'English Riviera')! Lots of pay-and-park around the seafront. Blueish-green waters.

Have too have a walk around early when ever I'm down in Torquay. Theres a great coffee man who parks himself by the Marina, great coffee cheaper than the coffee chains.

The weather was amazing the palm trees looked beautiful felt I was in Spain again , I had a great time .

Mostly a really nice place. Watch for events like the world food fair which show what it really can be. Sometimes too busy especially with electric scooters, bikes and pedal bikes all travelling too fast and no enforcement. Food choice could be better

A well-run MDL Marina. Obliging staff, all facilities on hand at a high standard. We’d stay again, but we’d try to avoid a berth on F … it’s right alongside the promenade and is noisy until the small hours. Berths on rows A to E are much more peaceful.

Oh I do like to be beside the sea side... now I've got that tune stuck in my brain.

Amazing. Lots of little shops and food place to stop and eat at and see. Highly recommend the Raptor boat rides. At half hour long, with a £40 a head cost, it's not cheap, but it's a once in a lifetime experience. You get to go on only one of 4 of these boats in the world, seating up to 12 I believe, with 3 V8 engine producing 900bhp!!!! Amazing machine. With top speeds capable of 70mph. Our ride was a little choppy, so we got up to 50mph, but it felt so much faster considering you're on the water, jumping off waves and crashing down (still more softly than I'd have imagined but it is recommended people with neck or back problems not to go on, I took my daughter and my 74yo mother and they had a blast!!) Took us on a tour of the local cost and to see some of the smaller islands and caves and wildlife at sea with stops for some information and time for some pictures. And after about half an hour of some exhilarating sight seeing, we get back near the harbor and they basically do donuts in the water, with the boat tilting right over!!absolutely exhilarating ride and I was more than happy I got my money's worth. We didn't get particularly wet either bar a little water spray, can't speak for the people say on the front seats though 😂 they'd don't look wet when we got off though. Would recommend zip pockets for phones when you aren't taking pictures though!! As you will need to hold on with both hands when it's flying along!!

Only decent open space in town, that and Princes gardens. Don't forget to visit the harbour too. Ice creams, coffee or beers. Plenty of sit out places there.

Lovely place, really pretty and well maintained. Great place for a stroll and not far from the sights and sounds of Torquay itself. Well worth a visit. Plenty of parking, some at the side of the road and a carpark with steps down to the marina just as you're climbing up the hill away from Torquay.

Nice to see the views and boats at the marina. We paid 70p to park for 30 minutes. Arcade and shops nearby.

A nicely situated marina in centre of town. However shocked that 5 boats down there is a party going on with Elvis impersonator with no regard whatsoever for other boats in marina - and it’s not cheap to stay here. Don’t think we’ll be returning. Prefer Brixham any day

Beautiful place nice to look at all the boats and the sea plenty of beaches to sit down and relax while taking in the view, few places to get food or an ice cream from and the lovely little water fountain nr the big wheel

Lovely place, was not there long. Would love to come back. Obviously it's a people with money location and it shows.

You would think you were somewhere else, with all the boats and yachts in the harbour . There are plenty of places to sit and take in the scenery , the seas were quite choppy today and windy, but there was still a beautiful view. You can see where the fire was earlier in the year, that has damaged some of the wooden beams and a couple of benches.

Stunning place with lots of restaurants and bars for all budgets ,also great views out to see and boat trips when weather permitting .👍

Its a lovely place clean lots of eating places you'll be spoilt for choice apart from if ur looking for vegan/halal not much there so best to take ur own lunch .reasonable prices gift shops are far apart. Ppl are friendly there

Experience there was really lovely, Greg explained the rules really well and safeguarding clearly. Went to see the cliffs and the Hindu caves and so much more! I highly recommend the services!!!

Raptor ride is a fantastic way to view the bay and the fastest passenger craft in europe. Brilliant fun and comfortable ride.

Beautiful place for long walks by the sea. We enjoyed catching crabs, eating yummy fresh fish and chips and having lovely drinks.

Just strolled around the harbour, had an ice cream from one of the many outlets. Some of shops are empty and look a bit sad. Plenty of choice for places to eat and drink.

Beautiful seafront and lots of restaurants. Although main seafront is a bit of walk.

If you don't like heights don't go on this!! Very reasonable £6 each. The whole of the front was very clean & well kept. Certainly a credit to the locals.
