We moved to southside just over a year ago and Toro has been such a find! The loveliest staff, the best coffee and the cakes, pastries and bread are wonderful. A regular Sunday morning haunt for us, just brilliant!

Great coffee. The female staff are great smiley, friendly but the guy makes you feel like you are interrupting him. I thought this might have been an off day but no I’ve been back and he was the same. It’s a pity as he lets it down. We won’t be back. There are other places to go.

My favourite coffee place in Glasgow. Whenever we go to the Southside, grabbing a drink in Toro is a must for my partner and I. We discovered the place during Covid and we were amazed that we didn't know about this place before. The drinks are fantastic, I don't know what it is but the taste is amazing. Friendly staff, cute cups, nice environment, tasty pastries, affordable... What else can you ask for?

There's nowhere in Glasgow that sells better coffee than Toro - there is really no comparison or competition. It blows everything else out of the water and makes you feel like a fool for having wasted your money elsewhere. Plus, the fresh pastries are incredible (whenever they have a cruffin, buy one) and the people who operate it are just lovely. Their coffee is my weekly treat and I look forward to being able to sit down for it with a book when the plague has passed, but in the meantime, their takeaway latte's are weekly restorative. If you live nearby, you have to try it as soon as you're able, and if you are far from Toro, travel because it will be worth it.

Great coffee. Perfect for a takeaway on the way to Pollok park. Can be a long queue but coffee is worth the wait

Was in the Shawlands area and after doing what I needed to do, I was in the mood for my morning coffee fix, and near by to where I was parked was Toro Coffee Shop. Very handy if going to visit Pollok Park (and next time I do I will visit here first to grab a coffee). Due to the current COVID restrictions its only take away at the moment, but they have adapted great, and very smooth. Ordered a latte and a cake, and was able to pay by card. Extremely good cup of coffee and cake was delicious. Will most certainly be back again in future.

This place is a gift to the Southside of the River Clyde. In the Film 'Full Metal Jacket' Private Pile and his companions sound off with "This is my rifle, there are many like it, but this one is mine" There is many cafes but none like this, and it stands out as the best, for me, on offer. I don't quite have the rhythm to ma mantra, but ye get ma drift. Both in its atmosphere and huge variety of coffee's on offer. I don't know of any other place that brings in so many coffee's from around the world. All of them superb. There is something for everybody, catering for all. A true passion from the owners. So much knowledge. The coffee's alone are enough to make ye saunter back, but the cakes and the sour dough bread....well....(Dribbles, shakes head) ye have to try. I love the independent nature of this cafe. There is a community vibe that grows within and that stems from having wonderful, open staff. Truly friendly(Not a hint of Starbucks pish) and a good laugh into the mix. Places like Toro are the what all cafes should be striving to create. Company, warmth, laughter, blether, cakes and coffee. Soul Medicine. I'm not from here originally, I'm from a small fishing village called Pollok ;0) But in all seriousness the Pollok park is only a 5 minute walk away, treat yourself to taking time out from a walk there, or jump in for a wee take away on route. There is every chance, as it so close to the flat; you'll find me there, in the corner eating sour dough like the cookie monster facing the cookie apocalypse. Enjoy!

Came in for a quick coffee that turned into a couple of coffees and cake! The coffee here is delicious, the best ive had maybe ever. I cant normally drink black coffee but i could at toro They had milk replacements both oat and soya, vegan cake options and the prices are great! Coffee and cake to sit in came to £4 and it was great. Other customers coming in and out were chatting with staff about coffee and the roasters/ brewing they do and all staff we knowledgeable and friendly. Its a super chilled, relaxed place and my new fave escape! Plan to spend a lot of lazy weekends with coffee from Toro Fantastic if you are visiting pollok country park as very close and their cafe is usually packed and expensive

May I begin by saying I am not an expert but a keen amateur. I have a Rancilio Sylvia classic and Rancilio Rocky Grinder and my own belief is that the type of been you need corresponds to your Grinder and setting. May I also say these coffee beans are all excellent, but I have found different results with each of them. With Papercup I have serious channelling I believe there is much more moisture in the bean andto be honest didn’t get a decent pull on any shots. Tin donkey was a great tasting coffee, but again I had to adjust my grind setting which is at zero on the rocky; despite numerous attempts at both paper cup and tindonkey I failed miserably. however I have 100% success with DearGreen on any of their beans. I don’t think there is much difference in the quality of these beans- I think it comes down to user error or capacity to pull good shots. I have learned to clean out my Grindr courtesy of Gail from Seattle coffee ha ha and I’ve owned this machine for roughly 10 years. DearGreen coffee works for me I hope you find this helpful
