Excellent coffee, food and staff. Plenty of delicious pastries, pies and baps to choose from. Intimate setting, friendly atmosphere, dog friendly.

I really like popping in here for a coffee when I’m in Glasgow. The lady with the glasses and dark hair is always so friendly! Haven’t tried the food but coffee is very good and it’s a definite favourite for locals.

Would normally have to go to a boulangerie in France to get pastries this good.

Hands down one of the best places in Glasgow for breakfast/brunch. The chorizo morning bap is the best morning roll I have ever had. The staff are so friendly here too 🙂 they also have good pastries/cakes!

Delicious bakery! Love their pastries, they are consistently amazing! I have been there many times now. I recommended it to my friends, and they seem to enjoy it as much as I do. They have a few vegan options as well, but not many. You can pre-order vegan cinnamon buns, and they're very good! It's a very busy place, so I recommend pre-ordering the pastries and the bread. Sometimes there's a line for sitting down, but their food is worth the wait!

Best Sourdough , cinnamon buns and almond croissants in Glasgow, or anywhere else in my opinion . Order in advance as they sell out fast !

First visit since return from holiday saw my other half and son order their customary scrambled egg and sausage roll, which were scoffed in seconds. I however checked out the meatball marinara bap for size, texture and flavour and wasn't disappointed. Tomato, fennel, mozzarella, bun, salad and meat all in an enamel dish. Flavour explosion does not quite cover it. Next time will ask for the filling between two slices of their famous sourdough toast. Go on - you know you want to. Best coffee in the area too - mocha and flat white remain unsurpassed. Forgot to order one of their cinnamon pastry whirls this time - maybe next time. Freshly squeezed orange juice tasted great too. Irrespective of your choice from the menu, this remains head and shoulders above the rest in the West of Glasgow. You will not be disappointed.

If you ever find yourself at Anniesland, you NEED to call into BeefCake for food. It is hands down one of the best places I've ever eaten in my life and that's not an exaggeration. The food is top notch. The staff are really down to earth and friendly. I recommend, mushrooms on sourdough dough. Or the corn fritters. Or the meatball sandwich. Or.....well anything, everything is just friggin gorgeous. Thank the gods I live about 10 minutes walk from this gem.

If for whatever reason, I ever find myself on death row with the option of one last meal, it would, without a doubt, be beefcake’s veggie bap. I always recommend this to place to anyone visiting Glasgow, it’s a popular wee spot so there can be a bit of a wait for a table, but it’s always worth it 🥰

THE BEST VEGGIE BAP IN GLASGOW by FARRR. If you go here please try the Veggie bap - it’s sensational. Pillowy homemade bun, smoked cheese, sweet chilli dice, avocado guacamole that is spiced and delicious and HOME MADE tattie scone. It is a marvel. Every time we go we sit in happy silence whilst we joyfully eat and I usually do a happy food wiggle. Sometimes you’re waiting for a table for a little bit because it’s always busy but PLEASE WAIT ITS WORTH IT!!! And they always sort you out!! Thanks so much 🥰🥰🥰

This is simply an amazing bakery. The best sourdough I have tasted and cannot buy bread anywhere else now. Fantastic sweet pastries with their classic almond croissant that is so crunchy and rich in its filling of homemade almond butter. I have a sweet tooth but when I go there cant miss to bring home also a pie or sausage roll for lunch. Make sure you send in your order via their facebook page the day before or might not find much left past 11 am.

Never seen a cafe like this in Glasgow. Just opens for 4 hours and yes always always full of people. Never get a good timing to get a seat to enjoy the food. Decided to ordered a sourdough bread with bacon for takeaway. Love it! The Cappuccino also tasted good.

Friendly service provided a chorizo and chicken roll, a chorizo breakfast bap and scrambled egg. All made from fresh locally sourced ingredients - bread made on site tastes even better when toasted - try the BLAT sandwich. Had cinnamon pastries and a danish with great coffee afterwards. Just make sure that you turn up at 1000 - tables can be full before 1030. Definitely the place for breakfast in Anniesland.

The BEST bakery by far. We’ve been to so many bakeries around the world and hands down they do best. Their sourdough is so moist with full of flavor & the pastries are delicious. The eat-in menu is tasty too. Cosy & welcoming atmosphere add to it all too.

First time visiting Beefcake Cake - had heard very good things and it certainly lived up to it. The mushrooms on sourdough toast were the tastiest mushrooms I have ever eaten at a cafe brunch, so meaty and flavourful! I will definitely be back :)

I'm confused as this place has 5stars here. I got the buttermilk chicken sandwich and it was so burnt I couldn't eat it. There isn't a giant menu for this place so I'm confused as to how that was possible and how this was allowed to leave the cafe after cooking.

Very delicious, fresh food. Highly recommend the BLAT and the homemade omelette bap. The pastries are also really great, we tried the pain au Chocolat. Friendly and fast service! Good coffee too.

Exceptional pastries, glorious sourdough and amazing coffee.

Some items seem a bit on the pricey side, but with the trade it does I can see why. Otherwise, great service and just yum is all I can say.

Our favourite wee cafe to go to for brunch, the morning baps are all delicious (we've tried them all) and the spinach & feta pastries are unreal! Lovely staff always make you feel welcome. Great coffee too.

Wonderfully delicious food from a family run business. You will leave whilst planning the next visit. They make going to other coffee shops and café quite difficult to return to once you've been to Beefcake for the first time. Engaged as well with the world, compostable coffee cups! Faultless! Another awesome brunch at Beefcake. I had the most delicious shakshuka with feta and gluten free toast and my partner, the fabulous roll with everything. Relaxed but attentive service from a very young accolyte who coped well with my single shot cappuccino and my partner's request that his food and tea arrive together. Our third visit, probably the best yet. If only the sun shone on their side of the street, it would have been six stars 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞

The specialty coffee here is great, really tasty coffee and ticks the boxes. The coffee won’t disappoint but it’s not the very very best. That said, the food is THE BEST. The baked goods are unreal and delicious. It’s clear why they have won UK wide awards. The hot / savoury food is delicious. Every thing is very fresh and made to the highest standard. The cafe it’s self isn’t very big so it can be very busy but it’s always worth the wait. The staff are lovely, this is a family run business and they are passionate in what they do and go above and beyond to accommodate any customers needs. 10/10

After visiting here, breakfast will never seem the same again. We both ordered the bap lorne sausage, Black pudding, Omelette with cheese, washed down with coffee. All the staff made the experience very warm and welcoming, If you enjoy a good breakfast you need to put this place on your bucket list. Very good all round*****

Loved my visit here . Went here for lunch with a friend who is local and recommended it.Menu a bit out of the ordinary and everything home made. I took the sweetcorn fritters and added a poached egg . Dish was accompanied by haloumi cheese , mashed avocado and a slice of their sour dough bread . Was absolutely stuffed! When you look at the menu you think the items are all “ snacks” I assure you these are very healthy and hearty portions! My friend and I shared a brownie ( which I normally don’t eat ) but this was to die for! Looking forward to my next visit next time I’m in town .

The baked goods menu changes weekly and they have some really unique stuff both savoury and sweet. My favourite thing was the passionfruit white chocolate cheesecake filled doughnut, its wasn't too sweet and the sourness of the passionfruit was delicious. Arrive early before they sell out!

Excellent local café with plenty of outdoor seating. They have the closest thing to specialty coffee in Anniesland - they hit the sweet spot for most: excellent quality espresso but not too sour. The pastries are very good, especially the savoury ones. Sweet pastries are on the "too sweet" side (for me) but can't fault their quality and the locals clearly love them as they are always sold out. Shame they're only open for 16 hours a week!

Beefcake was recommended to me by my son. He said the pastries were amazing and said to get there early as they sell fast. I visited them arriving at 9:50 a.m for a takeaway. Was not disappointed. Ordered spinach and ricotta rolls and almond croissant. Absolutely delicious. Will Absolutely go back and this time sit in for a breakfast. Staff very friendly with a quick service.

Fabulous sausage and black pudding breakfast, excellent vegetarian options too. Went back a second time to try the pastries - absolutely awesome. But the final word has to go to the fresh baked morning rolls - so good they have to be tasted to be believed

Friendly staff, great atmosphere and great breakfast food! Was disappointed by the chocolate and hazelnut bun - the bread part had a horrible aftertaste, not sure if maybe it was a sourdough bun? Don't think sweet fillings go with sourdough at all.

Really friendly staff, nice ambiance, and truly outstanding cinnamon rolls - best I've ever had. My breakfast roll (veggie) was really tasty and excellent value, and my coffee was ace too. Highly recommended

A real gem of a cafe. The best cinnamon buns I think I've ever had, super friendly staff, really great crockery and presentation and good prices. Heartily recommend the sweetcorn fritters and avocado breakfast. Wish I lived locally to visit more often.

A firm favourite, their sourdough is incredible! Fantastic offerings kept us going through lockdowns with weekly trips to pick up our orders.

This is the most incredible little cafe. I have had a variety of their brunch items and have never been disappointed with what I ordered. They do all their own baking and the cakes and bread they make is incredible. They also have fantastic coffee on offer here. Perhaps the highlight of the while experience however is the staff. All of whom are extremely friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great breakfast or lunch.

The food here is amazing, staff are lovely, and it's great to have such good quality, artisan coffee in Anniesland. Hope they can open for longer hours soon.

Just had THE most delicious take away lunch!! The pistachio and rhubarb donut was stunning!!!!

Not sure I could have survived lockdown without beefcake. Every weekend proving a sourdough loaf. Then every weekend a growing brown bag of other stuff. Bagels (excellent) cinnamon buns (normal and vegan)... The best ever. Also amazing ginger cake plus a growing weekly list of amazing stuff. Also always providing my Saturday morning coffee. Also had breakfast.. Equally amazing... I usually go with poatch eggs.. Love this place

Personal down to earth service is so lovely and refreshing. The food is simply brilliant. Depth of flavour with subtlety unusual tastes. I love this place. We may well have moved from Glasgow a little earlier if it hadn't been for Beefcake!

Always a pleasure to stop in here. Usually very busy but staff are accomodating and the food is delicious, both from the sit in cafe and their bakery. Great tasting coffee as well.

Great food, excellent venue but always a wait for a seat and for service. Staff rushed off their feet but still amiable despite that.

Great coffee (and I know what I'm talking about when it comes to coffee so I don't know what one reviewer is saying that the coffee needs to be improved), friendly and attentive staff, have only tried the Sourdough toast and the Croque Monsieur so far but the former was fresh and crisp whilst the latter was was full of flavour and texture. I like the use of the old tea services and the enamelled dishes, they add to the uniqueness of the place.

A gem hidden from the Anniesland high street, incredible baking and a fresh menu for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Can’t recommend it enough for a Saturday morning (or any morning).

Consistently good food, friendly, and accommodating of special dietary requests. Coffee is great. I see someone here complained about the size of coffee cup/price ratio. Personally I would rather have this great quality coffee in a small cup over a bucket of cheap nasty stuff. Nice place.

Visited here when it was a wee cafe. Walked past at the weekend and popped in. Gluten free brownie and latte was epic!

A cute, quirky wee cafe with a welcoming atmosphere, home baking (including bread), and a menu that changes weekly. Decor is sort of sunny retro. The upstairs section adds useful extra space, and there's an outdoor seating area that's set back away from the main road, so not too noisy. Coffee portions could be bigger, considering the prices, and they have that 'quirky cafe' problem of small, retro crockery with large, modern cutlery that is too big for it and consequently (if you're like me) ends up getting knocked onto the table or even the floor.

Great cafe, ginger cake is my favorite.

Not sure there's enough ventilation as you come away smelling of food as it clings to your clothes. Not keen on the cumin flavour in the avocado, it overpowered everything. The orange & cinnamon pastries are amazing especially if you're lucky to get them straight from the oven.
