I sometimes go here are 7.30am to get lunch and the lady at the counter is always lovely and nothing is ever too much trouble. I sometimes use the salad bar and the lady brings around all the cutlery and extra things. Just had a chicken salad sandwich which I purchased this morning and it was gorgeous!

Wanted some lunch before hospital appointment so thought to try here. Great idea, where to start, staff really very helpful and kind, sat outside so they brought the food outside for me. All staff keen and friendly, quite busy, lots having take aways though. would definitely come back again. Lots of choice I had a smoked salmon toasted bagel with cream cheese, absolutely delicious.

First class service from someone who is an obvious natural at her job... I think her name was Nicola. I'm a business coach and it baffles me how many people involved in retail just do not engage in the correct way with their customers. It's the customers that pay your wages at the end of the day. Fantastic service and a fantastic sandwich from a very popular shop near the Victoria theatre in Halifax. Thanks again Nicola a textbook example of great customer service.... Have you ever thought about training others how to do it?

Found this little gem on a recent shopping trip & will 1000% go again. Covid regulations in place and felt so safe ordering, the ladies on the counter were so welcoming and warm and I felt like I’d known them years! They explained how to use the (amazing) looking fresh self serve salad bar & showed me round the menus. There is literally anything for anyone here! All fresh made to order, even a cake counter. I went for a messy Mexicana which was thick cut perfectly cooked chips with lots of chilli loaded on top with cheese and some sour cream etc. So good for the money & I had a smoothie too. Staying local has always been so important to me but even more so given the circumstances! We need to keep these little family run places in business and I will be recommending to all my friends and family for sure! Keep up the good work guys, see you soon x

We go to toppers regularly and really enjoy it, great food and staff. Sandwiches and jackets are always lovely, service with a smile, would highly recommend!

Four times over several weeks I ordered a jacket potato with baked beans... where were the beans? I literally got one table spoon of baked beans and I think for the extravagant price I paid the portions are small and that doesn’t just apply to beans! Big prices, small portions and ok food.. this place used to be the best place for lunch in Halifax and it’s gone down hill seems they only care about the profit these days, it’s a shame really

We saw this place that looked inviting for lunch today.It wasn’t part of a chain. We were served promptly by a very friendly woman. The choice of food for lunch was comprehensive and all looked freshly made. I chose a panini with spinach and feta which was delicious.My wife had the Mediterranean veg panini and hers was delicious too. The home made cakes on display looked very tempting so we had a slice of cake each with a coffee.The cake was excellent,tasty but not too sweet and the coffee was spot on. We sat outside as it was warm and the road was quiet . The customer service was excellent from all the staff. It offered very good value for money. It was a really enjoyable experience and will now be our go to place for lunch when in Halifax.

I’m a regular here, is very close to work, food is very good and the ladies are very attentive. Great service! I have to try not to go so often or my waistline would double! If you go on a Friday enjoy the freebie hash brown, which’s a very nice touch. Keep up the good work guys. 👍🏾

I visit this place regularly when in Halifax. As others have said they always have a fabulous selection. As well as the usual selection of sandwiches and jacket potatoes it has a salad bar, home made quiches, variety of home made warm foods such as curry, chilli or meatballs. My personal favourites are the home made soups. Even though its popular and busy you never feel like you have to wait long. The staff and service is always friendly and delivered with a smile. If you go in at certain times of year when things are happening, such as Halloween, children in need, Christmas or Easter you will usually find special goodies and decorations to celebrate. They also now have a sister shop just a short walk away.

Visited here with my mum on a short trip to Halifax. When we arrived and realised there was no indoor seating we almost turned away- but so glad we didn’t! There is so much variety; salads, potatoes, sandwiches, tortillas, paninis etc, all at really reasonable prices! There were also a variety of toppings from the usual to Swedish meatballs, roasted veg and chicken curry. The staff were so lovely and very smiley which created a nice atmosphere. We ate on the tables outside however the potatoes warmed us enough to feel comfortable in November. 10/10, would love to return and recommend to anyone.

Visited here for lunch today with my daughter after looking on trip advisor before attending an appointment. We weren't disappointed - we both had jacket potatoes; I had roasted vegetables and feta, my daughter had chicken curry. They were nice and hot and the potatoes were cooked to perfection. We could have chosen lots from the menu as the baguettes, panninis and hot rolls sounded delicious. They had a variety of cakes and the cupcakes looked amazing but when you've got a little black dress to get into in 3 weeks.....😀 The staff were very bubbly and friendly and we will definitely go back again. There are tables outside which are probably lovely in the warmer weather, but we braved them today and it was nice to sit, eat and relax for a bit. Thank you Toppers 👍🏻

Me and and my wife have visited here a few times over the last few years, the food has always been fantastic. Just sat down to a salmon and cream cheese and bagel (wife) and a chicken and lime coriander wrap, both were fantastic, lovely staff and a nice outside seating area.

Supported us at the WomenCentre and helped us to support over 100 women. Amazing cakes that made the day. Truly fabulous people.

Arrived at 12.30pm lunchtime. It was quite busy but the ladies all had smiles on their face when serving. Ordered a ham, egg and Cheese sandwich on a roll for £3.50. Good service, nice sandwich, would return.

They have the best salad box selection in town, always delicious. Even cater for gluten free (gluten free brews available). Staff are really friendly and always fast service.

Llegó aquí el viernes, mientras que fuera de compras y me di cuenta de este pequeño tesoro estaba haciendo cola a la salida de la puerta a la calle! Enseguida nos dibujó y me sorprendió la rapidez del servicio y que habíamos pedido y se sentó en pocos minutos. Nos sentamos afuera y la comida era estupenda y una gran relación calidad-precio al contrario que un comentario anterior izquierda aquí!

The bread was stale and hard. There was hardly any filling in sandwiches. Paid £9.50 for mine and my family's dinner. Not worth it at all. Won't be returning here.

Si quiero algo que es un poco diferente de lo que hay en el menú siempre hacen lo mejor para proporcionar. Teniendo en cuenta lo ocupados que están, la velocidad del servicio es siempre estupendo.

Top place for your dinner, couldn't fault it in anyway. Jacket potatoes are the best in town. Also the Mars crispy squares are a must try.

I come often do lunch at toppers. The jacket potatoes are delicious. Absolutely love the Swedish meatballs and currys and I recently had the beef lasagne. Oh my you have to visit. Staff always happy and friendly x

Tengo mi almuerzo desde aquí por lo menos dos veces a la semana. Yo opto por el llevar ensaladas, patatas chaqueta o sándwiches. Siempre es de excelente calidad, muy sabrosa y servicio con una sonrisa. Lo recomiendo.

Wonderful little deli! I visit Toppers regularly and more often than not, spend a little longer than necessary ogling the baked goods! All the ladies here are talented bakers and know how to get your taste buds tingling! And that is just the tip of the iceberg! Their sandwiches are always beautiful (not to mention you get a free hash brown with your breakfast butties on a friday) the salad bar is lovely, fresh and varied. The specials are spot on and they make a mean coffee! To top it all off (and risk rambling on for a little too long) the staff are wonderful! They are 'service with a smile' personified. They seem genuinely happy to see each individual that walks through that door. Not just any old deli. Toppers is a place with real heart and soul.

This place does very well for business from the nearby HQ of Halifax bank and the staff are always friendly and the service excellent. There is a large choice of everything from salads to jacket pots to hot and cold sandwiches and also cakes and pastries. It is always busy which is a testament to how good it is. Do try it if you haven't been :-)

Working in Halifax and this deli was literally 100 yds away, popped round for lunch, went in and ordered, great service, food was excellent and had a huge choice of both cold and hot food, only wished this was situated where i live, we need more places like this, well done Toppers !!

The most friendly and personalised service I have ever received from a deli. They are always giving wonderful suggestions and different ways to keep your breakfast and lunchtimes lively and tasty.Beautifully decorated and service with a smile always.There is something for everyone, no matter what your style or taste may be.

I visit here most days and every thing I have tried is great. I'm in love with the Cajun chicken wrap with lime & coriander sauce. The staff even know my order when I walk in. This place is the best and I would recommend anyone to visit when they are in Halifax

We love coming here for dinner, best sandwich place in Halifax. Tasty, value for money, and dead nice staff. The best part is the last time I was in there one of the lovely old ladies remembered my order better than I did, and saved me from ordering something I didn't want.Bestest caramel shortbread :)Hopefully we won't get kicked next time we're in there.

Lovely staff always polite and the food is lush! Massive choice too! Get a coffee here most mornings and love that they have a loyalty card. Can't fault them at all :)

Great selection of salads sandwiches jacket potatoes. ... You name it! You can sit outside on a sunny day and people watch. Cant recommend this place enough.

I live this place. The sandwiches are good - tuna melt is a good pick me up! But the salad bar is the best bit. There are options to include additional cold meats or cottage cheese (which is yum!) and it's probably the only salad that I look forward to!

This establishment is by far the best sandwich/deli in Halifax by a mile.At first gance this place looks un-assuming sat on the corner of the victoria theatre, nice tables and chairs on the pavementBut its when you enter the premises the smells of freshly cooked food and the spectacular salad bar along with what can only be described as the best coffee in Halifax strikes home.this is definately a place for foodies Great to see family run buisness at its best

I visit Toppers almost daily - in the morning for good coffee and at lunchtime for food. They have a huge range of choice and some wonderful specials, usually in keeping with the season. The staff always get into the spirit too, often dressing up for Halloween and Christmas. Great, clean, friendly, family run deli.

I travel all over the UK working and often grab food on the go. This has to be one of the best Delis in the UK I have ever visited!!I will quite happily take a detour off the M62 to grab a sandwich and an amazing homemade cake!!I can highly recommend to anyone!!!

A super place for lunch on the go. Clean and fast service, and tables outside too. Hot Beef and Onion baguette, mmmmmmmm lovely!!!
