My mum ordered me a Chinese last night for my birthday. The rice was hard and all clumped together, noodles were flavourless, ribs were rough and chewy and the seaweed was more like a tub of salt. Completely inedible!

Was advertised as open and it was close in absolutely livid

Great selection of food to choose from.

Food ok but the owners have got greedy and put prices up ridiculously. £21 for special curry, special fried rice and a battered sausage. Come on.

Ordered for collection. They had attitude on the phone need to work on customer service when speaking to people. And the prices of the food have been raised and for little things it’s overpriced. I love this place but let me down highly

Had a lovely Chinese and it’s open at lunch time!

Food is ok but my main problem is that the standard chips over the years the bag of chip have been cut more than half even thoe the price has gone way up, not value for money at all.

Old chips. Fish over done. Curry is like watery not good .

My Cheese and Mushroom omlette had not one mushroom and awful bright yellow processed cheese. Diabolical waste of money fox food tonight.

We ordered takeaway for delivery. We had chicken curry and roast pork curry as good as always, very consistent. Delivery was quick too

Most expensive chinese ever paid for, 14/2/2023, we had just 1 veg curry, 1 beef curry, 1 egg fried rice, 1 chips and bag prawn crackers £21.30! Didnt enjoy it, made me feel unwell for 2 days since. Will not return again. Every other chinese I've tried always been fine, usually get free prawn crackers, rice is included in curry price and not added on top like it was here! Just my honest opinion! Basic curry sauce an chips here was £4.70, prices even dearer through Just Eat!

Had food last Friday chicken was hard in the curry / sauce was tasteless my special fried rice was cold had to warm up in microwave

Always takes so long with delivery over an hour not sure why. Ordered fish and chips today had more batter than fish. Very disappointing. Wont be ordering here again. I would rather have crispins just up the road. Photo added to show the amount of batter.

Top chef has always been the best in the area. Been coming here for over 25years and other places just never compare. Really friendly staff who will answer any questions and will be as helpful as possible!

Well cooked, tasty but getting a bit pricey for 2 rice dishes at 14.40 as takeaway...

Basically I booked a order for tonight on just eat it was booked for 18.35 and after I booked it I have been told that it is not arriving after seven o'clock and my husband is a type one diabetic and has done his injection not very impressed with this situation

Speedy delivery, tasty food and affordable prices. Food was in huge portions but value for money guaranteed. Perhaps a little too greasy on some dishes. But a great cheap and cheerful meal!

AMAZING and affordable!! The best chow mein I've ever eaten, with a PROPER amount of prawns (or meat), not like in some places where they give you like two prawns for the whole dish. Became our favourite takeout option!!!

Love, love, love the food. Always usually cooked to perfection with no complaints.

Delicious hot food always amazing never let's me down I refuse to go anywhere else for Chinese other than here, best around.

Food here is soo tasty. Our regular dishes, are ¼ chicken n chips, and chick mush pie n chips, and a curry sauce. Occasionally I'll have the beef curry. Food is not only well cooked, but really tasty. We have it delivered, and it's always on time, and sometimes a few mins early. Always arrives hot. Go for it, you won't regret it. Good value for great food. We swap between here and Cheungs, and there isn't much difference in quality, taste, and service. Very SLIGHT preference for Cheungs chips (by 9/10 but top chef 8/10 for chips). No problems after 15 uses. Enjoy.

last night i order a curry.i eat it was very cold and not cook few hours i was very ill being sick & i have to ring ambulance to come out as i was in lot of pain....find out i have a food poisoning

Love this place they do lush food specially their curry it's not too spicy & Just right nice Chinese food + Also English food too best of both. They also do delivery. Lovely people who sever you in this takeaway shop. Parking outside for this shop can be a nightmare sometimes though.

First of all it's a disgrace that they still don't accept card payment during this sanitary crisis! Second they are very anti social people, they don't know anything about politeness or customer service. Third the place doesn't always seem very clean which is not reassuring. And finally the food is not that great. Not going back.

Have used this takeaway for years and food is usually lovely, however I placed and order tonight and one of the dishes was wrong, I called them to let them know and was told a replacement would be sent, bower within a minute I had a call back saying that the dish was in fact right, but I’m sure satay chicken is not hot with chilly and loads of onion and green peppers and not even a hint of peanuts sauce! , but he said that’s how they cook it, so wasn’t given a replacement or got my money back, even after spending £26! as a valued and consistent customer I think that was very bad customer service and also the fact my son couldn’t ect it due to the peppers, not a happy customer today!! 😡

Avoid this place!!! Ordered food for delivery and took 2hours to be delivered!!! Called Top Chef to chase and told they have no delivery drivers and the food is ready and waiting on the side. No apology given and the quality of the food was poor definitely not worth the wait. Don't waste your money here!!

Amount of food is more than enough but flavour is quite disappointing... Not the best Chinese food in town.

Excellent fish & chips and their Chinese food is delicious. Well worth a visit!

Tasty food although a little bit too greasy. Was nice to see a member of staff actively cleaning the cooking environment.

As good as it gets for a all in one take away, Kebabs, Chinese, you name it they do it.

Just had my order and was really impressed by far my favourite place to order from. Very tasty lots of meat and the curries are lush deffo recommend

Can always really on good Chinese here. Collection always the quickest route This is my local Chinese, and I have used it for over 15 years now. It's the same people running it throughout the whole time. The fish and chips are also pretty good, I prefer the chips here to English Fish and Chip shop across the road. You seem to get free Prawn Crackers here if you spend over a certain amount, not sure exactly, but I think it's £15, so dont order anyway if you bill is going to be above that.

Amazing takeaway. Use top chef all the time. It is the best Chinese that I have found. It's not my closest but worth the travel. They also do delivery aswell. Find them on just eat

Ordered at 6.10, due 7.25, arrived 8.30. Barely warm, lacking flavour & tasting reheated/poor quality of ingredients. It's hard to find a good Chinese.... and this one is horrendous.

HYGIENE RISK! DO NOT EAT HERE! I went in this evening and ordered my food, the guy serving sneezed 4 times into his hands and then straight away began serving another customer chips. I asked the server if he was going to wash his hands to which he said he didn't need to because he wasn't touching the food. I explained to him that he should wash his hands because he was now serving chips, he did not see the problem because his hands were not physically touching the chips. He argued back and didn't wash his hands. Needless to say I got my money back and will never return. It's very concerning that the staff do not understand food hygiene basics and their lack of understanding as to why hand washing is important when working with food. Behind the counter I also saw lots if tubbed up and uncovered food. I will be reporting this place go the council. If only I could give a minus star rating.

Unfortunately the bap fell to bits as we started to eat them in the car but the burger itself was excellent just a shame we had to direct it first

I used to live opposite this takeaway and still use it regularly. Great portions (maybe too big, but I aint complaining) Will use as long as I stay in BS4/5 area. Cheers Top Chef

Wasn't happy with them waited an 1 hour and 30 mins for the food just to receive an email saying the order has been cancelled. Not happy
