i came for tonys wong but i only got bad food. however, tony was a nice guy (if that was you), and i thoroughly enjoyed the visit, if you pretend the food was good, which it wasnt. but, tony obviously likes the work and hes my idol for that, i hope one day to work at tony wongs takeaway with my bestest friend, thomas hardy.

Just back from a weeks holiday in Vienna and getting dropped off at Roughwood Drive my twin vrother Stephen and I dropped into Wongs Chippy on Kennelwood Avenue to get a bag of chips each as in my opinion this is the best chippy by far in Kirkby . No holding back on the measures in here ,it's a proper full bag of chips and so tasty ,it's proper comfort food and just what we needed after all our travelling . Tony Wongs Takeaway is easy to locate on Kennelwood Avenue ,well worth visiting if you're in the area.

I don't go to chippy's that often but when I go I tend to go here.Anthony Wong's which is located in Kennelwood avenue has been here for as long as I can remember. A clean well kept chip-shop that offers well priced meals and soft drinks thats manned by super friendly staff. On most occasions I only have chips which are always superb and this is what we had on our visit plus curry.The chip's and curry where excellent as was the price.This is an excellent chip-shop that is well worth a visit if you are in Northwood in Kirkby.(This is my first review of Anthony Wongs). Tony Wongs Chippy is a chippy that's been around for as long as I can remember , in my opinion it's the best chippy in Kirkby , I live a two minute walk from this chippy ,whenever I get back from holiday I always visit here ,great chips and not skimpy on the portions staff are also super,very friendly and all meals here are great value for money,my last visit here was in February 2022 ,a great weeks holiday in York ,7 days taking in the sights and visiting lots of pubs ,my twin brother arrived back in Liverpool ,we hit a few pubs in town before jumping the bus back to Kirkby as we were knackered ,we ordered chips and curry and headed home,short walk were we enjoyed our chippy meals ,absolutely delicious,it's a chippy easy to locate along Kennelwood Drive ,most definitely well worth seeking out if your in Kirkby .

Tony Wongs takeaway in Northwood Kirkby is a superb takeaway that has traded here for as I can remember and offers a superb range of well priced meals. Located in Kennelwood Avenue and only a couple of minutes walk from were I live and as its been a long time since we last visited here but the other night we went here for a chip shop meal. Only came here for a few portions of chip's and some curry sauce which where superb and really well priced.Tony Wongs is a very good takeaway and well worth visiting and very easy to locate from Roughwood Drive bus stop its a short walk. Placed order. First thing is that the driver asks for more money than the actual order??? Called the shop to be told the driver will call back with my refund. Won tons went with wrong sauce. Can hear the girl staff member slagging me off for calling and asking for correct order. Asked to speak to manager who is just as rude laughing at me and saying”so what do you want me to do”. Think some people need to learn good customer service but maybe that’s not needed when you work in a chippy???? Vile people, wouldn’t lower myself to order from here again!

Belter chippy with fantastic staff and great food and boss delivery service highly recommend this chippy to anyone in the Kirkby area salt and pepper chicken fantastic

Fish is very fresh, lovely crispy batter and beautiful fresh chips. The Chinese meals for also excellent and certainly not overpriced

Chinese chicken curry and chips. Chicken curry big slabs of chicken. Big pieces of onion,and mushrooms. Very pale chips. Disappointed with meal. Will not order again.

Staff are fantastic and I am vouching for years, in fact since 2003! Hey that’s a few hundred or even near £1K a year . . . but it’s worth it. We absolutely love the food there and it’s a salt and pepper chicken, salt and pepper chips and a different “other meal”, you won’t be disappointed. I bet the staff can tell who I am now. They deserve more reviews, but I guess most people only review the when they are not happy.

Anybody eating here I strongly recommend salt and pepper chicken with fried rice chips and barbecue sauce it comes to about £15 with two cans I promise you will not be disappointed...plus the portions are massive could easily feed 2-3 people

We ordered sweet and sour pork and fried rice with a portion of chips. It has got to have been the worst meal I have ever ate. The rice tasted like microwave rice and the sweet and sour was a jelly like substance. The chips looked like the fryer hadn’t even been turned on. Every bit of it went in the bin, it was disgusting. We visit here quite regular, but the past few times it has been getting progressively worse and this has just confirmed we will no longer be eating here again.

Had loads of meals from here and food has always been good can't grumble for the price. Sweet and sour mixed with chips is my fave from there plenty of food. Place looks clean and staff are always good too.

No uses esto para llevar.Carne inidentificable en las albóndigas. Las "costillas" que en realidad eran rodajas finas de carne de cerdo con una salsa sin sabor, Brown frito realmente arroz y curry especial vil. Como un regalo cada viernes me y la Sra. tienen comida para llevar. Hemos estado casi todos los chinos en y alrededor de Kirkby, pero nunca a Northwood. Por alguna razón este viernes decidí darle una visita. Tony WongsAunque en el exterior parece visitar una prisión. . Vallas justo a.. Una vez dentro, el lugar es muy limpio y ordenado. Después de un poco de mirar el menú extenso pedí un especial chow mein y la Sra. fuimos para el lado de la orden especial y curry de patatas fritas.Después de llegar a casa y unwrapping ambas comidas pareció encantador fueron presentadas. Mi Chow mein tenía mucha carne y era absolutamente encantador como la comida la señora curry. Las patatas fritas eran nuevas y, probablemente, las mejores patatas fritas que he tenido en cualquier Kirkby chippy. El personal era muy agradable y ordenado. No hace falta decir que sin duda regresaremos este viernes y probar algo fuera del menú.

La comida varía de buena a mala, todo depende de la hora o el día que suene. Tal vez diferentes chefs?Recomendaría la sopa agridulce, está llena de gambas, jamón, char Sui y varias verduras. ?Los Sui Mais no son tan agradables, pero supongo que esto es de gusto individual.Te recomendaría que lo probaras y con suerte me llames en un buen día ya que la comida puede ser realmente agradable.

Ha habido un "fish and chips" en la Avenida Kennelwood desde que puedo recordar y he vivido en la esquina del "fish and chips" para la mayoría de mi vida.Este es un precioso "fish and chips" con una gran variedad de comida en oferta y el personal es super amable.No hay nada que me guste más que cuando vuelva de vacaciones a parada de aquí y patatas fritas, fishcake compra y curry, ya que es muy bien aquí.El precio es fabuloso y chippy en sí es muy popular, pero al estar cerca de algunas escuelas y en el centro de Northwood realmente sorprendente.Es fácil de localizar, por Roughwood Kennelwood Drive y corte en la avenida.Una gran gente "fish and chips" y bien vale la pena visitar si estás en la zona.

Over priced horrible food. Chicken and sweetcorn soup chicken seemed strange so didnt risk eating it. Everything tasted of egg too even prawn crackers. Will not be going again thats for sure. Also premises are disgusting too.
