Absolutely fantastic food and lovely staff! We have visited this restaurant on many occasions and the food is always exceptional and so are the staff. We were a large booking for a family occasions with adults and children of all ages. Staff are always attentive and polite and the food never disappoints! The prices are reasonable and we would never spend a family occasion in any other restaurant. Thank you for accommodating our large booking and making our occasions special!

Tried this restaurant for the first time on Friday and we were not disappointed. Ordered a starter s combo and it was absolutely fantastic. Ribs, sui mai, prawn toast, seaweed, and spring rolls. Honestly I'd have been happy to have paid and gone home there and then as the starter was so big, but we stayed for our main. We both ordered sizzling Cantonese beef and it was excellent. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and our first visit will definitely not be the last. Lovely food, can't fault it.

Went to dine using a Tastecard ordered scallops. Disappointed as only about 3 pieces cut in small slices! Stay away!!!

Went to Beijing in prescott at 11.25,let me and my partner order drinks,and a 3 course meal only to have it all placed on the table at once,I had to ask for cartons to take my food home as they stood over my table telling me I had 20 mins to eat the lot,then asked did I require a other drink????when I complained I was offers a bag and told to calm down,pure rude and will never go there again Photos taken of food which had tonne taken home,regardless off taste r quality they r rude

I have been coming to this Restaurant for many many years. Really nice and always clean and pleasurable to visit. Staff very efficient and friendly always and CV19 process very organised. Food as alway was delicious, fresh and served promptly. We were celebrating our Nephews Birthday with family and the delicious food ended a perfect day.

We went to mr hos but they were about to close and so we popped in next door to here! It was late and no one else was in but we were welcomed! We were a bit drunk and rowdy but the service was still excellent. They did speed us through but it was after midnight! This considered the food was hot and fresh and very tasty! We had sweet and sour chicken, char su pork and egg fried rice with steamed pork dumplings and spring rolls. The prawn crackers were amazing! Will return for sure!

We had the banquet for two, plenty to choose from. All food very tasty and good service. Would recommend the banquets, good value. Surroundings a little dated and dusty. Would definitely return with my family. Staff friendly

Prescot is lucky to have 2 Chinese restaurants next to each other - both have good reviews. We found the staff very attentive and friendly and the service was very good. Extensive menu - but some of the popular dishes found at your average take away were missing. A lot of the dishes start with the dreaded words "deep fried". What we ate was good and I particularly enjoyed the noodles.

Great place. Fantastistaff good food. Great booze. Definitely would recommend. George is a diamond geezer.

We’ve been visiting this restaurant on an off for the past 25 years! They have the service off to perfection an the food is always freshly cooked to the highest standards. Best King Prawn sizzler in Liverpool! Defo worth a visit if you are in the area.

Not the best Chinese I have been to but seems to be very popular nonetheless with locals so booking at weekends recommended. Maybe I am just picky but found decor dull & dated, service very average and food just okay as seem to contain a lot of monosodium glutamate. Not much parking adjacent as it is on the busy main road.

Myself and my friend came to Prescot village to find out that our favourite restaurant was closed... we walked around and found ourself outside the Beijing Chinese restaurant. We took a chance and it was prefect! Service was excellent, food was quick and tasted great! The interior was quite outdated but other than that I would recommend coming here!

I stayed around this area in the beginning of January and after eating at a few disappointing pubs and a restaurant I came here and what a relief it was. The staff knew what they were talking about and were also friendly. The food was really nice and the tiger beer was excellent. All in all a welcome and pleasant evening.

Enjoyed a lovely meal here just before Xmas. All piping hot and freshly cooked. Staff very attentive.

What a wonderful night I had here. The staff really give the place a buzz we was here at a fundraising event with Brownies and there was around 70 of us but the staff made sure there was no long waits for the food nor was it too rushed either the evening flowed really well. The staff joined in on the raffles and even won some prizes themselves. I would defo go back here. The drinks are very reasonably priced I bought a bottle of medium white wine and it was gorgeous I would go back just for the wine. There is something for everyone's taste I especially loved the spring rolls and the ribs. It's not somewhere I would usually eat out but it will be on my list in future.

My wife and I visited the Beijing restaurant on our way to Liverpool Airport and were so glad that we made the small diversion from the direct route. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and shown to our table which was next to one set up for a birthday party of 9 or 10 and there were 3 other tables occupied which, at 6.30 pm on a Tuesday evening we took to be a good sign as we believed that we were the only ones who were not 'locals' and so it proved to be.

We had a wonderful meal here last night. We chose a set meal for 4 people at £21 each. Every course was delicious. I could not find a single fault with any of meals.. Looking forward to our next visit.

Called in for my sons birthday - we have eaten here before and it was the kids first choice.

Amazing service and very friendly staff paired with great food makes a brilliant restaurant. Definitely would go again.

Just spent £40 on a takeaway just to sit in the toilet spueing up for half a hour to be honest i was enjoying eating it even though my singpore fried rice was almost cold up on opening it it was quite tasty then i opened my prawns in wrapped paper and dived right in without really checking them out my partner pointed out to me have you seen the amount of greese on them by this time i had swallowed amost a whole wrap when i looked in the foil tray what they were in it was quarter the way up the tin with oil when looking at them they were literally soaking in greasy oil as if it was a sause or gravy i threw them in the bin all £5.20 worth and tried to forget about them but before i new it i was in the tolit being sick whoever cooked them should be ashamed of themselves utter discrace

Haven’t been here for a couple of years but remembering how good the prawn toast was we decided to try it for a midweek tea and it did not disappoint, food still as nice, staff welcoming, started with prawn toast and the most amazing spring rolls followed by fried rice and vermicelli which was nice and hot... so glad we returned and will again, there are a few restaurants serving the same kind of food in the area but this in my opinion is the best by FAR!!

Have been going for over 10 years and never disappoints! Dave and George and the staff are lovely. Hour Dervs are great and good value for money.

Went for my mum and dads Golden Wedding Anniversary on the 10th. The food as ever was decent but it was £70 for two of us and a child eating bits of starters. Michelle was driving too so not a cheap meal out but I think Chinese eateries are generally expensive anyway !

We visit here on a regular basis. George and the team are great, really friendly. The food is delicious, lots of choice, banquets are great. Something for everyone. Always willing to make changes to suit our requirements you only have to ask.

Had the crab soup starter , it was crab stick not crab , the duck was poor and there wasn't much of it , the beef in black bean sauce was nice but the sweet and sour chicken was bland at best , a very average meal for £40

called in about 6.15;pm Friday 19th May, after a few drinks in local pubs, friendly faces and smiles from George and David before being taken to a great seat by a window , service 1st class and food and drinks top notch, just what we wanted.

We had a family meal in the Beijing last night and the food and service was fantastic.Food came out at the same time for everyone and it was hot and delicious. Will be back again to try more of the lovely food served here.

I had not visited this restaurant for a number of years - normally choosing other establishments within Prescot, however I was pleasantly surprised.It was a family meal, which we had midweek and the place was fairly busy. we were treated by friendly staff and shown straight to a table. Staff were really friendly and attentive which always adds to the enjoyment of any establishment.Food was lovely, very tasty and the portions generous - so much so we had a "doggy bag" to take home.All of the family enjoyed both the starters and meals ordered so it was well worth the trip. Prices are reasonable and comparable with other places within Prescot.It is worth noting that if you have a Taste Card, you can use it here during the week so you could visit here and spend less than your local takeaway.Would I visit again - yes I would

Absolutely favourite place been going here for years with my family! Best chicken curry and great menu lots to choose from and you can sit in or take out.

we enjoyed lovely family meal at the Bejing for my Mums 70th last Friday, they had even put banners etc up before we arrived. The service was great, attentive but not intrusive. My daughter is a fussy eater and half of those eating are vegetarian and all were well catered for. The decor is not fancy but who cares, the food was fabulous and we will all definitely return.

We hopped on the bus to Prescot again, not sure where we would eat but after a stroll around the town we decided on The "Beijing". we were greeted nicely and offered drinks straight away. We had the salt and pepper chicken wings and the barbecue ribs for starters then the fried sliced beef with ginger and spring onions for Mrs Titan and fried king prawns with ginger and spring onions for myself. this is definitely a place we shall return to soon.

Booked this restaurant for my sons 40th birthday. There was 20 of us. The meals were awfull my son and his girlfriend never even recieved there meal!! When we asked why they said they were not on the order, after the waitress twice repeating it back to us. The sizzling fillet steak was diabolical. I spoke to the manager George. But all he said was sorry. The chicken sweetcorn soup had no chicken in it. The chicken fried rice had no chicken in it either. The bill came and it was £311 after it was adjusted !! Will never book here again. It spoilt the night for us all.

Great place, been several times and always found service good, and friendly helpful staff. Usual Chinese menu, but not overpriced, and even a bottle of wine £12. Fair price for eating out. Not the sort of placeI would go for an "extra special occasion" but a very good, above average local Chinese Restaurant.

This restaurant has been in Prescot for 30 years or more, maintains very high standards at reasonable prices. Staff are very friendly and food is very good

We come here often for take out when the family is round and for meals on special occasions. George is always friendly and chats to us. Today we are in and had a wonderful meal. The staff are attentive and never too busy to share a joke. Highly recommend

Have been here a few times .. food served hot and swift even though there was quite a few people in .George was a great host .duck spring onion and ginger very tasty .

Can't say anything nice about it......ribs had no meat on them par far rolls had just a piece of ham in them....prawn toast had no prawn threw most of it in the bin and it was £40! For a take away never again!

Absolutely terrible place the food I ordered wasnt what I got, I complained and the waiter stood there arguing with me he took it away in the end and when I asked for the bill I was snapped at by the waitress and the "food" is disgusting part with your hard earned cash somewhere else

I ordered a Chinese relatively early lunchtime, good delivery time, HOWEVER the entire meal was reheated, the lemon chicken smelt and tasted like cheesy feet. The chips were soggy and tasted like cardboard. The only nice element of the dish was the satay chicken and even that was drowned in a thick layer of oil. Rice tasted burnt and smothered in oil. Will never be going to this place again, it was foul! Do not recommend!!!!!!!!!!

been here a good few times now and the food is great fresh and hot, beer is nice and cold, friendly staff also, close to taxi rank and local pubs.

My husband and I use to go here years ago and with passing by notice it was still open so we called in. Little has changed and there was still some staff who we remember. The food was really nice and the service was spot on. It was nice to think it's been over 20 years and still going strong. I do think some freshening up on the decoration, but food wise don't change. We enjoyed the food and service very much. You could say it's still a gem in Prescot.

The Beijing is a great restaurant, all staff are friendly and don't conform to the usual standing over your shoulder while you eat that so many Chinese eateries do.Prices are standard compared to other restaurants in the area.The food is delicious and if I could recommend one thing it would be the Char Sui won ton noodle soup. Although this is on the soup / starter menu it is definitely a main meal.The ribs are also excellent.Been here many many times and never had anything other than a great meal and a good atmosphere.

The food was of good quality, however they let themselves down when I mentioned I would like to use my tastecard. They left me feeling like I had done something wrong when in fact I only went in there due to the tastecard promotion. They should be thankful of custom from nice people and not make me feel like I had done something wrong.

Came here a couple of weeks ago with my mate, we had a starter each shared some duck and had a main each, everything we had was hot, fresh and very tasty and only cost us £20 each with drinks very happy! Only downside was originally we wanted to share a banquet and they said we couldn't really swap the main meals on it.

Wonderful meal tonight , I ate here for the first time a couple of weeks ago and was concerned that the 2nd time may not have been as good as the first , but the whole experince was fantastic , great food, fantastic service , nothing is too much trouble for the staff there , we were made so welcome as soon as we walked in the door , food is great quality and the portion sizes are very generous . We had a banquet meal for 5 people and there was plenty to take home , thanks again for a great night

I find some of the food to be really really nice, the place could do with a bit of a re-decorate but overall the staff are brilliant, and the food is of good quality. I did find on my last visit that some of the dishes were not as good as others. So i always seem to order an extra dish for my party just to be safe but have had to take stuff home before now.

without doubt the worst food i have ever tasted,I ordered hot and sour soup, I got watery sweet and sour, main meal chicken and cashew nuts, 3 pieces of chicken, the rest was veg, my husband ordered Singapore fried rice, when he opened the container it was one lump of stodgey rice, be warned

Love this place! So fast with serving food! Food is delicious! Great for take out food too! Never mess up any orders! Staff are attentive and friendly! Just what you want! Don't leave you sitting there without a drink! Pretty busy when it gets going! Heard lots of great reviews before hand that's what lead me there! Overall a good standard of food and hygiene! Toilets are clean! Tables are clean! Staff are clean! Dishes and cutlery are spotless! What more can you want! Great place for a meal!!! Worth a visit!!!

If its the best good honest authentic food you're looking for, look no further. You won't get better than here for taste, variety or value.Take out or sit in service is fab. All cooked to order but in a timely matter. Run by the manager who has his finger on the pulse friendly and yet is staff know what needs doing and you can see the respect.Ok so the decor isn't up to date but thats not why I go, in fact the food is what will keep you looking down. Enjoy.

Been here twice now. First time was a charity evening, and the meal was very nice, was buffet stye, everything was placed on your table and you helped yourself. Food was lovely, no problems. Drinks were a little expensive. Place has seen better days, it needs a good revamp and the poor fish tank needs a good clean.Thought we would try this place again as a takeaway. Went on a Saturday night - was so busy!! Staff wanted to do anything but serve us, including serving people at the bar who had arrived after us. Wait was 40 minutes for food, (hardly fast food!) so we left our order and decided to come back to pick it up. Got it home and one of the meals was completely wrong! Asked for lemon chicken, and it certainly wasn't what we got! And whatever it was wasn't nice. Couldn't go and swap it as we were heading out soon after eating and wanted a quick bite before going out- ended up with a small bite with the one edible meal. Don't think I would try here again now due to this experience.

The food is average, the staff are very friendly, but the interior is very tired and it doesn't look as clean as it could do.

No complaints over the quality and quantity of the food - average really nothing to rave about. Table's are too close together as they appear to have shoe horned as many in as possible to maximise space - results in you getting banged into quite an bit by either staff or other customers. Staff all friendly enough and efficient. Would I go again? Probably not in truth - I'd rather go to a restaurant with better food and seating - but it is perfectly fine for the price.

Have eaten here many times. Run by the same folks for over 20 years evidently. Obviously not a big city establishment - this is a small town restaurant but it's always friendly and the food is very consistent and reasonably priced. It has a small bar area for pre/post dinner drinks. The service is attentive and there are patently a large number of regular customers. It has very recently been redecorated throughout and looks fine to me so that should address some of the comments in recent reviews about it being tatty and suchlike. They handle large parties and celebrations very well.

Have not been here for a long time but thought I'd give it a try.Got a takeaway from here an utter waste of money the fried rice was hard obviously not boiled long enough before frying, go to the big chippy over the road it's loads better, will never go again.threw the meal in the bin and had beans on toast.

I visited the Beijing last night with 4 friends and we had a lovely meal. I had steamed char sui buns to start and beef ho fun (beef with onions and Chinese mushrooms with fried ribbon rice noodles) and asked if they could put broccoli on it too which they were happy to do. It was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend it. My friends had the dim sum sharing platter and then shared a meal. We stayed late and had a couple of drinks and a chat and they did not rush us at all. Really great experience, can't wait to go back! Thank you!

Always good food and good size portions only Chinese we will come to in Prescot friendly staff and taking the highlife card is a bonus

We have been visiting the Beijing for over 10 years and I can't say a bad word about it! George & Dave take the time to get to know their customers, good is top notch as is the service. I booked an early evening tea for my family to celebrate my sons 21st, they put up a banner, and sent out a desert with sparklers, candle and happy birthday song, food perfect as usual and reasonably priced. It really put the icing on the cake. Thank you.

Now I know why they call it Beige Ing.....we had two totally different meals but they both looked exactly the same.......BEIGE. Go to Ho's. It may be a bit more expensive but its cleaner, nicer and lovely and modern. Beijing still in the 70s.

George and Dave do a great job at running this place always cheerful with their free first round of drinks and the food is always up to scratch to sort out any mood you may be in.

Visited with my friends for a catch up. Was seated really quickly which was a positive but unfortunately you feel like your being watched and this is something I'm not keen on. You always have waiters hanging round your table and asking if everything's okay. The food was perfect may I add. A bit pricey.

It has to be said, this is not the most attractive restaurant in the area, both outside and in but the food was very nice and plenty of it, and the staff friendly and pleasant. Didn't feel rushed but nor did we feel ignored. The food and service knocks spots off a very nearby competitor which is more aesthetically pleasing but confirms the theory that beauty is only skin deep.Would be nice if the Beijing had a face-lift but don't let its presentation put you off.

the beijing is a clean and well run restaurant the staff are well manered dont bother you food always hot and well presentered not to expencive on a main road easy access late opening well worth a visit

Service was brilliant, food was served at a nice pace - not rushed. The owners are great, really friendly. The food is really tasty, definitely have the prawn toast!!! You can also take away as well as eat in. Would go back everyday of the week if my waistline would allow me!

Been coming here for years and have never thought to review. There are three Chinese restaurants in prescot and this is by far the best. A warm welcome as ever. They always make us feel special and the food is always lovely. Last night there were ten of us and everyone was happy. Sometimes we just go for a quick meal but we have had two family occasions in the last month and both have been great

Lovely establishment , and beautiful food Little tired decor inside and the men's toilets I thought were disgusting..... They were NOT clean and they did smell quite bad.....

Four of us ate here whilst in the area on a Saturday evening, place was quite busy which is always a good sign, we chose the set menu which was brought quickly and was tasty, large portions, so much we couldn't eat it all! Would recommend.

Whilst the food and service is of a very high quality, the decor is looking distinctly "tired" with peeling wallpaper and some shabby fittings. Prices are average and portions are of a decent size representing good value for money. Not the best Chinese restaurant in Prescot but nevertheless this is only a personal opinion.
