Great place food was delish and plenty to choose from. Staff were friendly and helpful

My 5 year old son loves pasta and especially at Tony Macaroni. We went in for lunch during the mid term holidays and it wasn’t too busy and got served drinks and our food order (2 bowls of pasta) was taken quickly. After 30 minutes I noticed that other tables that had come in after us had been served but it wasn’t until tables were being served a 2nd course that I decided to ask where our food was. There were only 2 waiting staff serving around 25 tables which was ridiculous. The young lad then asked if I could tell him what we ordered - I stated that if he had my order - I wouldn’t have to tell them again. He got very annoyed with me and said “can you not see how busy we are!!. I then gave my order again, and after a few minutes the manager came over and took our order for a 3rd time. We eventually got our pasta after 50 minutes. Management need to sort staffing out as I could see the young boy was a nice lad but clearly under far too much pressure and I heard him tell another table - they never get a break as they’re always understaffed. I will be back but just not in the kids holidays. Hopefully management see this and try to sort staffing out as we do love the place.

Just came here for a quick bite to eat after going around the shopping complex. Service was very good, very helpful and happy to be there. Plenty of choice on the menu and the prices are alright. The food itself was quite tasteless and bland. Even thought it was boring dishes it was still mehh. Would definitely get something different next time. That said, I would return if I wanted a quick meal again.

Aidan was first class for our table service with my partner and kids! Asked for anything extra needed provided side plates for kids on request also.

Had an excellent meal with the family and the food/service did not disappoint. After a busy week, I wanted someone else to do the cooking so we opted for a sharing platter, a pizza, burger and seafood pasta for mains and a dessert each. The portions are massive and the standard pepperoni was shared between the two of us. Real good atmosphere and the staff are super friendly yet not overbearing. The food was delicious and gentle on my wallet. We might be living in a time where money is tight but Tony Macaroni have a range of dishes suitable for all budgets. Cheers

Staff are always lovely and friendly. I like a pizza that is no longer on the menu and they are happy to make it for me so outstanding customer service . Best pizzas ever , they are always lovely and crisp. Never had a bad meal here and there is loads of choices to suite everyone.

Quiet when we arrived..got busier. Pasta with chicken was my chosen meal. Chicken delicious, but pasta had no taste. Hats off though..they removed from our bill. Would go back no problem

I was there twice in a week , and twice was disaster . food prepared mega cheaply, lasagna as if it was just filled with Passat, pizza hard and undercooked served almost cold. tragedy, they don't know what Italian food looks like and what the standards of Italian cuisine are. Not recommended for anyone

The 2 servers, the girl with ginger hair and the tall boy with tattoos were very polite and hard working. Micheal on the bar was very nice and polite also. Lorenzo the manager was also very polite and friendly.

Came here Saturday for my birthday and we wasn't disappointed, we don't get out that often so it was really nice to have a great experience here, the atmosphere is very pleasant, they go above and beyond to make sure everything is ok for you, I had the lasagne and it was super delicious, my partner had a calzone and he stated its the best he has ever had, we will definitely be returning and I would definitely recommend this place 😊

We visited the restaurant 1 week after reopening with my family and I have to say : BEST CHOICE EVER!!!! The service was good, thank you Lorenzo and Siobhan :) The food one word : PERFECTION . We had a great starter, the mixed sea platter for sharing ( forgot to take picture before started to enjoy it, so the original portion is bigger) and it was so fresh and delicious also a huge portion as I felt almost full after that. We have been suggested the focaccia bread slightly toasted and it was amazing as well. For mains we decided to go for pasta and it was one of the best dishes of my life. Everything felt just perfect to my liking with enough garlic and creamy sauce . Wow... Just Wow !!!!!!! I hope they realised how lucky they are with such amazing chefs. Well done. We have been there before a few years ago and it was such a disappointment. This is what I call a great comeback! Keep up the great work and I am sure that in a very short time everyone will realise that you guys have the best italian food in the area! We will definitely go back soon :) A wee update :went back again and received exceptional service from Gabriella and a tall young man ( sorry forgot to ask his name) as well. Food amazing as previously. I added 5 star for food and service and 4 for the atmosphere but by some reason is showing 0 .

Not worth the money to be honest. Didn't know the sneak in a service charge at the end without telling you. Not going back.

First visit since the reopening! While I had reservations due to past experiences, this time was a complete turnaround. The food was fresh and delicious, and the staff provided excellent service. Absolutely no complaints—though I’d personally prefer fries over chunky chips. I’ll definitely be back!

Went in thinking we would get the deal that was advertised that said it finished at 6:30pm. Told that it actually finished at 6:15pm. The head waiter seemed more interested in talking to his girlfriend. Then at the end sneaked in a 10% service charge. Which we were never made aware. Defo not going back. Food was all right but the sneakiness and the seedy atmosphere terrible.

Finally re-open😍 went to Tony macaroni for a birthday dinner in family and we were all so happy! Amazing service, the food was FANTASTIC and the staff were so friendly and welcoming ✨ amazed about everything really ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10 out of 10! Thank you for your wonderful work

Best chicken breast in the world 🌍

Me and my family came here today as part of a Christmas eve tradition. Upon arrival it was brilliant- the staff were lovely and our waiter was really upbeat bringing in the Christmas spirit, he was so lovely! However, onto our service for the rest of the night. It appeared that some of the staff might have been drinking as they were behaving in a very loud, boisterous and inappropriate manner which wrecked the atmosphere for a few tables. Our starters came quickly and swiftly which seemed a bit suspicious and our worries were confirmed when the food was incredibly bland! The chips were spot on, 10/10 absolutely brilliant! But I ordered the meatballs with garlic bread and was presented with two bits of plain unbuttered toast, however presentation was beautiful. Now the part that really horrified me: they then proceed to bring out our mains as we are still having our starters, we didn’t know what to say- they took it back and said they’d keep it on the side. Yes, you guessed it, when we WERE ready for our mains they bring back the same plates of food and they were tepid resulting in me having to send it back and get re-heated. Food was lovely thereafter but I am absolutely horrified they would bring out our mains when we hadn’t even finished, I myself, as someone struggling with chronic gastroparesis, hadn’t been anywhere but my house to consume food as I was physically unable to. Today was the first day in 3 years eating out and we had to leave early as the whole experience was just horrible. They didn’t close until 9 and this all occurred around 7:15. Very unpleasant, very disappointed, this used to be my favourite restaurant and I was so excited to go back for a festive experience, unfortunate we had to hand over the full bill.

We went for lunch, Saturday around midday. We were shown to a table by a pleasant well dressed chap, he was very polite and pleasant. The place was practically empty but he insisted we sit at a table for 2 which is tiny. Alarm bells should have rung as he pulled a small electric heater closer. It was cold outside so we didn't notice just how cold it was in the restaurant. We got drinks, then sat a good while before a food order was taken. We then sat another good while before a couple of plates arrived, these were for an antipasti starter to share. The plates were freezing cold, as were we by now. The starter was OK, but the experience if eating it just wasn't pleasant because of the biting cold. Anyway, main course arrived, both had burgers. They were OK, honestly I couldn't say better than that, the chef hadn't obviously bee given a formal introduction to seasoning or flavour. There were no condiments on the table so eating the over cooked chips was a dry affair. Not sure what's going on there, but there was a distinct whiff of a business on its uppers. The staff were nice, fair play to them, because it must be hard to be positive in such circumstances. A one word review ......... Dismal.

Went before going to the cinema. Was our second choice, excellent service, decent food, but felt very empty

Been here a few times and the food is usually decent. But the heating has been broken since befor Xmas 2023. We went back at the weekend and they're still using electric heaters. The staff are going around in jackets. To top it off, the card machine was broken. Used to be a favourite of my little boy, but it's really going downhill

I feel it's a hit or a miss really. Sometimes the food is only just warm , the pizza is good but again just warm. Hubby had pasta and that was hot this time....... Bonus lol

I just left the restaurant and I must admit I will never go back there. I used to be a frequent customer, now the staff has changed and the atmosphere is terrible, the food is a disaster, the waitress doesn't listen and forgets orders, and the other one throws the bill and ignorantly leaves (it wasn't busy). I do not recommend

We arrived at 5.30pm for our booking for 16 people. We were told there was no table available for our party as the people who were at the table weren't finished their meal. The manager Hitam, explained they were 4 staff short. However he quickly rearranged tables to accommodate us. He was on duty by himself taking orders serving food and drinks to us. Hitam went above and beyond making sure the birthday girl (16 today) enjoyed her evening. We cannot thank him enough for looking after us. He is an asset to Tony Macaroni restaurant.

My Caesar Salad had partially burnt chicken and no egg. My husband's spaghetti bolognese wasn't fresh and there was pre-mixed cheese inside suggesting these were someone else's leftovers as the cheese is always offered as an addition. The sauce was stratified. They also mixed up our drinks order. The service charge was included in our bill not allowing us to make our own decision about tipping. We will never go back there again. As for now only Queensferry Road Tony Macaroni is worth visiting.

Staff were very nice and helpful food was fantastic great value for money the biggest let down was the price of the drinks 4 x glasses of diet coke £14.00 I was shocked at this price for draught diet coke £3.50 per glass very disappointing I think that is too expensive.

Well it's not often I eat dinner with my coat on the place was baltic absolutely freezing . Ruined the birthday experience for our family. Couldn't stay long as it was so so cold . Food was good though but a very rushed lunch before hypothermia kicked in . Sort this out please

If your new card machine isn't working, don't take telephone orders without informing people. Missed movie running around for cash point. Greedy to inconvenience people like that. The carbonate was completely tasteless, tasted like plain pasta and oil.. very surprising... at least make the food good after all that inconvenience. The food was hot though.

Good food and great choice. Service was a bit slow though. Unfortunately, once we had sat down and ordered it became clear that they had no heating in the restaurant. No one told us before being seated or ordering. Came close to leaving but had travelled quite far to go to the restaurant. At the end, a staff member eventually told us it was only 8 degrees in the restaurant and that the heating had been broken for a couple of days, but still no apology. They should be telling people as they arrive and apologising for the inconvenience. In my opinion the restaurant should have been closed rather than the greed to get money off customers.

Freezing inside. A few portable 'heaters' dotted about. Quite why they felt the need to put half a tub of salt in their pasta i don't know either. The chicken was worse, weird brown bits and what looked like baked skin or something. Nope. Not going back. I'm generally not fussy but this was awful

Always like to try local when in a different area. It was very quiet lunch time we were sitted quickly. Ordered food of a much too big menu. Both had a pasta dish which were average and just warm, but utterly freezing in the restaurant so that could be the cause. I had a focaccia bread with mine and got a flat pizza base that was rock hard and inedible. My other half had what looked like reheated chips. We mentioned the issues and got no reply, so paid, which included a service charge!! and left

Sadly I was very disappointed. We waited over 20 mins to give our order and that was only because we had to wave a member of staff down. I ordered the Tony Macaroni Burger and my friend ordered the Macaroni. The Macaroni was not very hot and the burger comes with 2 3oz patties I a so glad I cut my burger in half rather than just picking it up as 1 of the patties was completely raw in the middle seared around the outside of the patty but the inside was completely raw not even a tiny bit cooked but the other patty was properly cooked through. We ended up sending our food back. Paid for our drinks and left. I would have understood if it was incredibly busy but there were many empty seats and most of the tables around us were already eating to the point that 4 of these tables paid and left before our food even arrived.

Really enjoyed our pasta dishes but far too much for OAPs to eat - perhaps think about adding smaller dishes for us to choose from. It was also very cold inside restaurant and even worse in toilets.

Freezing cold inside, staff arguing with each other, customers sat with coats and hats on. Once the food arrives it is cold within minutes due to the restaurant temperature.

Freezing cold the staff wore body warmers and and place had an oil filled heater by the till putting out very little heat. Unisex toilets were not clean, embarrassing dirty! Lasagne was bland and sat in a bowl of thin tomato sauce. Too many layers and not enough mince. Won't be back

Food was okay with side caesar salad being bigger than expected. The first thing we've been told when walked inside was that their card machine was broken. After we sat down we noticed the cold we saw that everyone was wearing their jackets. We asked for heating and was told it was broken after we ordered. We had kids with us and we told them they should informed people when they walk in about the situation and not only advice about the broken card machine. Overall service was below average.

Never been before and had a hankering for Italian. Chicken Milanese and a carbonara, both enjoyable and decent portion sizes.

The room was quite cold . The service was too slow for at the time a quiet restraunte. The food was quite bland in taste . Lasagne was watery almost . And normally you'd get a bit of lettuce or chips on the side to compliment it .. didn't stay for desert ! Wasn't the best experience and will choose more wisely going forward. Jm

Pizza was cold, pasta was over cooked and the restaurant was absolutely freezing. Even the staff were wearing jackets. Also didn't think it necessary to add a service charge. First and last time.

On October 19th, I ordered their supposed 'award-winning' Champion Pizza, but instead, I received a severe case of food poisoning. The symptoms I endured were excruciating - nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and fever. It was a dreadful experience that left me questioning the quality and safety of their food. I strongly advise against ordering from here to avoid the misery I went through.

We were a larger group on Sunday,the starters were great all love it, all chips are great ( sweet potato and garlic ) but the main courses were hopeless, the burgers were very dry, the carbonara pasta was also dry and tasteless, the pizza was 50/50 ,I won't go there anymore. Waitresses very nice and helpful.

Went on Sunday 1st October around 12pm with a party of 6 (4 adults and 2 toddlers) and they "struggled" to find a table for us even though the place only had around 5 tables being used at that time. Service was so slow and took a long time to get the drink order delivered to the table. The food looked nice and tasted nice, all food was eaten and enjoyed.

What a disappointment! Toilets were filthy - not just a missed clean but long standing grime. Restaurant had quite a few flies buzzing around. Food was ok but one dish (macaroni cheese) was cold around the edges and lukewarm in the middle. When it was taken back the replacement was no better. By this time everyone else had eaten so I ate the warm bits and left the rest. To be fair it was removed from the bill when the issue was brought to the staff's attention. Automatic service charge was added to the bill without asking so I asked for it to be removed as I find this practice incredibly presumptuous. Will not be back.

Waited long time for starters and long wait between meals. Mushroom started was lovely rack of ribs were meat free I think. Got house burger just bog standered. will not return

Food took about 47 min to start to arrive, they prioritised home deliveries. When kids pasta bolognese arrived it looked like something you wouldn't feed your dog with, overcooked and disgusting . I went there last Sunday with my partner, we were given the menus. No one took the order for 10 minutes, it wasn't even busy. Manager was busy talking to an employee instead of helping. The waiter passed by to let us know that he is coming to serve us. I decided to leave, so I did, it was great decision. Being at the Fort Kinnaird, it is easy to find other options.

The worst experience in a long time. The decor is tired, veneer on the table was lifting and small bits missing. Vinyl seats looked tired and on bench was torn. It was not busy but we had to wait ages for food to arrive, one was wrong and had to be sent back. Another arrived some time after. My mushroom chicken was dry and chewy and not very hot - dishes seemed to line up waiting to be served. We waited so long after our main course that we gave up and went across the car park to M&S for ice cream, and only got the bill by going to the welcome desk. When asking for the children's menu, the waiter pointed to the QR code on the main menu - as a grandfather, I don't find that helpful

Service was so slow & it wasn't very busy. Our order wasn't taken until we'd been seated at least 30 mins. Food took another 30mins or longer. The chicken was pink in the middle, & was returned. My Carbonara wasn't the best, flavourless, I had to add lots of salt & cracked black pepper. The focaccia bread wasn't brought with the meal. It eventually came with the bill so we got it boxed to takeaway. We weren't charged for it or the chicken but there was a service charge which I asked to be removed. All-in-all very disappointed & probably won't be back.

Unfortunately the pasta sauce was quite bland/watery. We had a kids bolognese and a penne arrabiata and both sauces were very watery tasting as if using low quality tinned tomatoes. We made the comment that if we'd made this at home we'd be very disappointed. The Pollo Inferno, however, was decent. The sauce was nice and spicy and wasn't watery like the others. One plus is that portion sizes were generous (actually possibly a little too generous - I was stuffed!) Finally, and hopefully this was a one-off, about midway through our meal the restaurant filled up with a smoky haze. There was no uncontrolled fire or anything and none of the staff seemed to bat an eyelid (or apologise), but it wasn't pleasant.

Really disappointed with our meal and service today . Looks like allot of staff changes and wow the service has taken a massive hit . Long wait for our mains and when they did come out half of our party had finished there’s by the time the remaining party got there’s. Absolute shambles. Definitely will not be back .

Been 4 times, 1st time around Xmas was great, really nice. Next time not great, thought maybe it’s a one off. Last time was definitely the last, the food is terrible, I wonder if the chefs taste what they’re serving. This chicken and mushroom sauce with some kind of mashed potato was served cold, the mushroom sauce was like water running off the plate. Won’t be back for sure this time, if you want real Italian food don’t come here. £16.50 for this chicken and mushroom and look at it.

What we ordered was not available. I then ordered a chicken pasta dish and my husband ordered a pizza. My fish was terrible. No flavour and tiny bits of chicken. The pizza was very poor and most of it was left, certainly didn’t want it “boxed” . Very quiet with little atmosphere. Service mediocre, had to go over to bar to order another drink as staff were not attentive. Will not be back.

Poor service!! poor customer service!! Rude workers!!. The moment I walked in with my family, no one attended to us for up to 20 minutes. Workers moved up and down but no one came to our table to take our orders. My husband had to go talk to someone who arrogantly came to our table. We were abandoned afterwards and no one assisted us with what we wanted. We couldn't stay any longer so we had to take the food home Take note: the restaurant wasn't so busy so why ignore us? I regret coming there to celebrate my graduation. Huge regrets!

Having booked at table and got confirmation, there was still no record of our booking. Seated right away as they where quiet. Placed our drinks order which was fine. The lady taking out food order was very abrupt and borderline rude. Felt pressured to hurry with the order. Waited a while even tho it was empty but the starters where good. When the main came the £27 fillet stake was over cooked and we had send it back... hubby hadn't eaten when we had finished. Over all the atmosphere was tense and I wouldn't run back in a hurry, but the torn faced rude waitress put me off more.

Food is not great but that is down to personal taste, none of the food is of any great qulity.

Last time i will be there we order 3 milkshake almost a fiver for normal milk with flavouring threw it got garlic bread crusts where so hard for main my wife got pasta was ok nothing special me my 10 year old got pizzas there was mix up with them as 1 was ready before the other one was cold when came to the table with side of chip that had clearly been reheated we notice that ppl that came in well after us where getting food well before us overall service was very poor we won't be back
