Das Tonkotsu bietet sehr leckere Suppen an mit frischen Ramen, welche hervorragend waren. Der Service war freundlich und das Lokal schön eingerichtet.

I have been to Japan a few times, whilst you cannot compare it to the authentic ramen you can have in Japan, this was not bad. Positives, service was pleasant and friendly. Efficient, despite how busy they were. I went for an early dinner and there was already a line! Luckily as a solo dinner, I was seated at the counter high seat table. Other parties had a wait of around thirty minutes or so. My seat was not comfortable but fine, I could eat quickly. The restaurant is quite tightly packed inside. Some seating outside too. I had the vegan ramen broth (Japanese Mushroom Miso) in a regular size which was basically a Miso base, shiitake, enoki & shimeji mushrooms, mange tout & bamboo shoots. I am Muslim and there were limited other 'halal' options. It would be nice to have more seafood options without pork or chicken broth. The ramen was nice and filling but lacked flavour and it was lukewarm. Needed to be hotter. Generous in portion and ingredients. Not too badly priced. I would go back to try something else, although as a Muslim options are limited!

Sehr leckere Ramen vorallem die Nudeln waren super! Etwas laute musik. Sonst sehr empfehlenswert! Bedienung war auch freundlich.

Although we did not have a reservation, we were kindly given a table. The food is delicious, freshly prepared. The service was efficient. We noticed that some people had to wait around 10 minutes for a table, I guess we were lucky.

Lunch here was delicious. Great range to choose from. Everything was fresh. The drinks were good and the staff were friendly.

Great lamen, had chilli tofu and it was one of the best one I have ever had! Definitely recommend, the place is cool, the food was great and the service fast! Definitely recommend.

I ordered a Geji Kara ramen tonight but got a plain tonkatsu one. Then I told a waiter that I got a wrong bowl. He just gave me a kind of spicy sauce which is terrible taste when I added it in the ramen. The Geki Kara ramen cost around 14£ which was very expensive, but it was the worst ramen I’ve ever tried. Don’t recommend this at all !

We used First Table to book this,xwhich gave us 50% off food but actually their 2 course set menu gir under a tenner is also great value. We shared a plate of prawn gyōza and they were outstanding. We each had a small portion of Kakugiri ramen ( a great idea to offer a small and large portion size, no waste!). The brothers was light and fragrant and there was a generous portion of ramen noodles and pork plus a divine half a soy braised egg. I would order another as a side next time. We had a very drinkable draught Kirin lager. The staff are lovely. So friendly and attentive. A perfect place for lunch.

Great ramen at an even better price - and in Soho to boot! They make their own noodles, which makes a big difference. There are a bunch of locations around town, and we've tried a few - all good.

Amazing flavoursome food, really helpful staff great location, will certainly revisit. We all had Raman Noodles which were so flavoursome, the location is central Soho we dined outside great for watching the world go by. Staff were attentive and friendly

Visited Tonkotsu in Dean Street, Soho for a Raman dinner. Friendly staff and a nice setting with seating options both inside and outside. Started with the Pork Gyoza (£6.45) and the Prawn Gyoza (£6.75), you get 5 pieces of each on a serving, and both were good. I then had the Tonkotsu Raman with roast Pork Belly (£13.50) which was delicious with its rich creamy pork broth. I added some of the scotch bonnet chilli mash to spice things up a bit and it was hot, but perfect for my taste buds. You can opt for Chicken broth instead of Pork and they have Vegan broth options also. All in all a nice Raman experience in Soho. A discretionary service charge of 12.5% is automatically added to the bill, so take care not to tip twice!

We had such an excellent experience at this location. The food was absolutely wonderful and they were able to accommodate a gluten allergy. The shrimp gyoza was especially nice and don’t skip the chili oil!! The staff was incredibly friendly and kind and went out of their way to make our meal amazing. Only complaint is that I at way too much and had a hard time walking out.

Came with friends on a Saturday evening. Good ramen very tasty with a lot of options and not too pricey. Our waitress was very nice and bubbly. Overall a good experience

As good and even better than Tokyo restaurants….fresh noodles, pork is tasty and the ramen tastes superb!

The main gripe I have with this chain of Ramen restaurants is that the website shows no indication of it being a Card Only establishment . It is only when you arrive in person that you see the Card Only sign on the door by which time , if you are with a group of friends, its inconvenient to start trying to find somewhere else. I was given no good reason for it being Card Only after Covid. It doesn't even benefit the management after them paying bank fees for card transactions. I had a party of 15 that I would have brought but everyone of my group prefers cash. I am sure that Tonkotsu venues lose out on business . There should always be a CHOICE. Very disappointing. Could you pleas reconsider and give customers the CHOICE. I would appreciate your response.

For once there was no queue. This remains my favourite ramen spot in the West End. Service was a bit slow this time but the food was as good as always. Limited but great quality menu at reasonable prices especially for the smaller sizes of soups and sides.

They have some of the best Ramen I have had in London. I recommend the tonkotsu ramen with an egg. You can pay via QR code at the table which means no need to wait around for the bill. Perfect for a quick lunch/dinner

I have been an avid fan for many years and have a monthly massage in Battersea and cannot rate Mart enough who always serves me when I am there. I went pre theatre a few weeks ago before meeting friends for the theatre. Despite it being empty Fernando the waiter was asking me to sit at the kitchen counter or on a high stool. I challenged this and said I would be quick. I wasn’t so much offered a glass of water so had my ramen and called for the bill. What I was not expecting was the absolute venom I encountered by the same said member of staff. I challenged that I’m the time I had been there no one else had arrived yet when the got here, I was told it was fully booked. He was aggressive beyond words I actually felt quite scared. He said “you would be pissed if you turned up having booked and your table was not here” and told me I should have pre booked. I explained this wasn’t an option online as the booking system was not open. I explained that I dine there almost weekly. His response was “I did not know you were a regular”. I explained I would feed back to head office ur frog marched me to the door aggressively telling me to do that and shouted his name at me. Needless to say I left the restaurant quite shaken. That evening I messaged their head office and the feedback and my concerns around the well-being of this member of staff was picked up by Emma one of the co-founders. It was then passed to someone called Julia and that’s where it went silent. Embarrassingly I had to chased for an update only to be told by Emma she was expecting someone else to get back to me. Julia suggested a call which I then declined, the damage was done and all I wanted was an apology and to continue being a loyal customer. It is pretty clear they don’t actually care. There are so many great ramen places in London don’t waste your time and energy on this one!

This was horrible everything taste like freezer food my food was drowning in curry also they do not take cash and didn’t inform us up on entrance. RIDICULOUS!! WOULDNT RECOMMEND

This place used to be a bankable favourite ramen joint, pre-covid... but tonight it was a complete disaster area. Everyone on the upstairs floor had a similar story to tell... loooooong waits for anything to eat (even edamame!) while being fobbed off by hopeless staff...

We were staying nearby, and decided to try our luck here, there was a line, but luckily all were larger groups so we got lucky and got a table. The gyoza, the shrimp katsu and the ramen were all excellent - sad we discovered this...

Best and most authentic tonkotsu ramen I’ve had outside Japan. Did takeaway, so can’t speak for dining in, although seemed very crowded and a bit cramped.

Amazing Ramen! Honestly one of the best Ramens I have had outside Japan, got the Tokyo Ramen and was delicious. They have really good chilli sauce too!

I went to this restaurant with a colleague as we both like authentic Japanese food !! Admittedly, I am still waiting to find ‘THE’ best Japanese Restaurant in London but this branch is not far off. But taking the food aside, this restaurant’s best asset are the staff From Donald, Jermaine, Geronimo, Pedro, Alessio, Fernando (sorry if I’ve forgotten anyone) gave us the most professional and attentive service. Of course there was a lot of authenticity missing, Wasabi, pickle ginger, authentic Japanese teapots, Japanese spices BUT the staff with their warmth and charisma certainly made up for it !! But I must also add that we were charming clients hence a ‘Nice Customer’ discount was duly added!! Thanks guys

First time we visited this restaurant post pandemic. The server seemed a bit off when we asked him not to put ice in our fridge cold drinks.The ramen was not tasty. It had a strange smell and the pork was overcooked. My partner could not finish it as he could not stomach the bad smell from his place.I used to like Tonkotsu but maybe post pandemic they have lost their ability to cook a decent meal.

Stopped by on a tuesday afternoon and tried the spicy ramen dish. I'd say the spice scale was like a 6 on a scale of 10. Fresh garlic would have been a great additon, they only had a garlic oil but overall it was a good meal.

Food was very average to be honest. Nowhere near worth the price. Service charge was included until you opted out of paying it. No menus. All online and you have to set up an account which will probably inundate you’re email inbox. Not worth the hassle in any way shape or form. Food was very processed. Some veg was raw.

This is a legendary Ramen shack it’s a shame the 21 century has taken over . I used to enjoy menus and banter with waiting staff unfortunately due to the pandemic realness all you can expect is an Orwellian nightmare of interacting with your phone While someone tracks all your data . I just want noodles . That is not the restaurant’s fault the noodles where sublime . The chilli chicken ramen is the cure for everything! As for eating out these days I think I’m gonna go sit next to a vending machine .

I asked if they can cater for me as i’m gluten free, at the door and he told me they can provide a gluten dish as they have gluten free noodles. I was then placing my order and asked a second time about the gluten just to be sure. He proceeded to tell me I shouldn’t come to a noodle ‘ramen’ place with an allergy. Unbelievably rude and sarcastic tone was used. I left very upset and will never revisit. I would not recommend eating here especially if you have an allergy. You will be treated as a inconvenience.

Really enjoyed the kakugiri ramen and the kaarage! We ordered as a take away and it was convenient that theyve separated the soup and the content so the noodles would still be the right consistency when we arrived home.The guy serving us was very friendly and informative :)definitely come back when indoor sitting is allowed again.

I love the Tokyo Ramen, it’s always a very heart-warming experience eating here! I’ve had them delivered multiple times in lockdown too.

Friendly staff, nice interior, inspiring menu... it just tasted dreadful. Thin fatty soup, sesame seeds that created more of a texture concern that I was eating something that wasn't meant to be there than any kind of flavour- just... not nice to eat.

Mixed support from the waitrons - 1 not helpful at all and young lady very helpful. Food lacked flavour and required Soy sauce & chilli sauce to be added to support minimal flavour.

Although the food was edible. It was the service that really brought the rating to rock bottom for me. We stumbled upon this place strolling the SoHo area. Being a tourist at a European country has really made us miss some asian cuisine. So we have decided to pick this place to dine. We werent sure how the wait works, so we decided to go inside and put our name and party size down. The host was a Caucasian male with a maroon T-Shirt that helped us that night. We walked back outside and waited in line, however, there was a large party infront of us that were smoking. In order to evade the smoke we waited infront of the restaurant instead. Please note, we were still waiting.After 5 mins, more people started waiting in line. The host then came out and started taking people's name and party size. There was a couple after us that put their name and party size like everyone else. However, they ended up waiting inside. 30mins has passed by and I was curious is it our turn yet. So i went inside to check. The couple that came after us was already seated, and we were still waiting inside. Me and my partner both cannot wrap our minds around this occurrence. The host was a racist. And end up giving a table to their own people of color. We wanted to bring this to their attention, however, the host is the same as the manager. So I knew then, my concerns were not going to be able to get through. After this experience, it has left a nasty taste in my mouth. --The food is honestly, not that great. Maybe because of the experience I had... Please note, Service, Food & Value is poor for this restaurant.

The best ramen this side of Tokyo chilli chicken is the best and the magic in the chilli oil 5 stars . The service was fantastic. The manager is so friendly And the food and service was fast and impeccable . Also great margaritas.

Our first time eating Ramen turned out to be the best experience ever! The thick broth, the tasty pasta, the delicious mushrooms!! All that deliciousness combined with warm gyoza and Yuzu lemonade made this one of the best meals I've ever had in London.

It’s a TOURIST SCAM DONT GO! We arrived at the restaurant at about 9 and were being told by a waitress that someone might be leaving in 10 mins so asked us to wait at the bar. After 10 mins, another waitress or manager came over to lay down the utensils in front of us at the bar table & she told us that the table inside is having dessert and not leaving, and she threatened us to order right away otherwise we have to leave because they are closing at 9:30!!! So with no options left for us, we ordered or food. Right after she left taking our orders, the first waitress came over and said the table is now ready to be seated...The last not the least, they automatically charged 12.5% tipping fee on top of the food. We had many meals before, none of them charged gratuity on the customers bill.

Was in the area and wanted to check out Tonkotsu whilst i had the chance. I had the prawn gyoza's followed by the Tonkotsu Ramen. Gyoza's were juicy and full of flavour. Plenty of filling which made me very happy. The Tonkotsu Ramen was delicious. The broth was so flavorsome. Generous amount of noodles, left me feeling very satisfied. Thoroughly enjoyed and will definitely return.

Het eten is prima. De dames waren allemaal erg vriendelijk. Ik lees op de website dat ze gaan verbouwen en drie weken dicht zijn binnenkort. Dat is een uitstekend idee. Wij zaten naast de trap naar boven waar het plafond open lag en keken recht in een uitpuilende vuilnisbak. Mijn zoon is naar het toilet geweest en zei dat het er echt heel smerig was.... Na de verbouwing vermoed ik dat het het een geweldig charmant restaurant wordt.

Went to this place as was craving to chicken kara-age and ramen. Went to this place with high expectations but was put down a bit by the broth of the tonkotsu ramen, too gamy!!! The fried chicken was tasty with the mayo.

Siamo andati al tonkotsu su consiglio di un amico che vive a Londra e ne siamo rimasti davvero soddisfatti: cibo delizioso, con materie prime di ottima qualità e personale gentilissimo. Ambiente piccolo (come spesso accade a Londra) ma molto accogliente. Ho preso un antipasto di calamaretti fritti, dei ravioli giapponesi con gamberi e bambù, un ramen con maiale e per dessert un delizioso gelato agrodolce al formaggio. Prezzo più che giusto per l’eccellente qualità dei piatti: con due birre poco più di 30 pound a testa. Consigliatissimo a tutti, anche per chi come me di solito non va matto per il giapponese: mi sono dovuto ricredere.

Estaba lloviendo y hacía frío afuera cuando pasamos en este lugar de ramen camino al teatro. La comida llegó rápidamente y el servicio fue eficiente. ¿Qué necesita realmente cuando puede llegar y salir en 30 minutos? Tuvimos un aperitivo de pollo karagee pero el ramen apareció rápidamente después de eso, pero no tuvimos objeciones de nosotros. Gran ambiente si no un poco ruidoso, pero de nuevo estábamos dentro y fuera en menos de 30 minutos. Comida de calidad rápida.

I go all the time I absolutely love it. I go to all the tonkotsu across London and I’ve been to the one in Birmingham. It’s consistently good ramen n I just love it. Always good service n always good food. Sometimes you have to queue in the soho one but it’s worth the wait

Just when I was thinking I'd have to go back to Tokyo for good ramen. I ordered the New Tokyo Ramen and was not dissappointed. The noodles were thin but fresh had good snap to them, so not over cooked. The broth was soy/chicken based and i usually prefer tonkatsu (pork) broth but this ramen had both pork belly and fried pork skin ("scratchings" in London). They added such a great flavor to the entire meal. Went down perfectly with a Kirin on draft. Would absolutely recommen d.

Didn’t even make it to a seat. Stood at the door for 10 minutes while stressed looking staff rushed around aimlessly muttering under their breaths. By the time I gave up and left, there were 6 people behind me and there appeared to be seats available up seat us all. A manager was called down a waitress and she didn’t acknowledge the queue but started telling off staff. Stressful environment and wouldn’t have wanted to stay at this point anyway.

Small restourance hidden somewhere off the beaten track, when we went inside, it turned out that there were no seats. However, we managed to find a place. Ramen (£ 10/1) very large portion is good, very mild in taste, no spices, but generally good. add 12.5% ​​tip.

Cute little restaurant in the middle of Soho. The food is really good, filling and freshly cooked in front of you. The staff is friendly and kind, open to explain the different dishes on the menu. The place is very tiny and the tables really close to each other, so definitely not suggested if you like to eat at a large table. They don’t accept bookings so there might be a little wait if you go at peak times. We went on Friday evening and we waited only 10 minutes before being seated. However, we had to wait quite long for our ramen, good that we opted for some edamame beans as starter!

It's always crowded in the evening which is why I try to get there around 6.00pm to get seated. My husband and I love the Tokyo ramen. Tonkotsu make their own noodles and they are good! Their pork is melt in the mouth tenderness, the soup has complex depth (we often empty our bowls) and I mustn't forget the half egg with a slightly runny yolk. Try their chilli bits with the noodles. The flavours marry well. If you like tangy, the yuzu lemonade is great too. It is a busy place but the service is prompt and friendly. Noodles average around £12 so represents good value.

We found Tonkotsu Soho by chance, and fortunately we didn’t need to wait too long to get the table upstairs. Its a compact japanese diner in a heart of Soho.

Posticino piuttosto piccolo ai margini del quartiere di Chinatown vicino alla zona dei teatri di Londra. Ci siamo stati prima di assistere ad un musical e tutto è funzionato alla grande. Veloci e cortesi i camerieri, davvero buoni e saporiti entrambe le tazze di ramen come pure i gyoza. Prezzi abbastanza contenuti. Da provare assolutamente!

Oh is really good for ramen in London!! Me and friend have Tonkotsu pork Ramen taste so good! Soup are rice and taste and Gyoza also good !!

Busy soho ramen bar with great fresh food. Well thought out short menu. The noodles are homemade and the gyoza delicious 😋

Do yourself a favour and avoid the tonkotsu signature dish, it's basically a pool of pork fat. I left it, found it inedible. I like the thick broth of tonkotsu ramen and I have been trying ramen restaurants all over the world for years, this is the first time I leave a ball of ramen.

Really good Ramen, friendly staff (who really will bend over backwards for you), quick service and a great meal. Ideal if you’ve got tickets to a show at the Soho Theatre. I’ll be back :)

I’m a big Tonkotsu fan and have been for years but a visit this week was super disappointing.

Noodles have changed not for the best. They are thinner, whiter and not as 'al dente' as they used to be. They stopped bringing fresh garlic with ramen, not sure why as it made the whole experience more authentic..
