Tong Park Hotel in Bradford

I was there with a coach tour for one night. The group dinner, scheduled for 19.00 was changed, without bothering to inform us, to 20.00. First course, consisting of 5 spoonfuls of soup was served, finally, at 20.45. Mains were served around an hour later. Most of the group sent their food back because it was stone cold. I didn't bother to hang around for dessert, but the group told me next day that it was served at 22.30. Far too late. The only staff were 2 young girls who done their very best in a grossly understaffed environment, dealing with all the issues related to the dreadful quality of food being produced in what I can only assume was a similarly understaffed kitchen. Lots of managers in suits were around, but not one of them, seeing and knowing the ongoing situation and appalling service, bothered to roll their sleeves up and assist. Rooms were clean and presentable, but the heating did not work in a number of our groups rooms, including my own. Showering was a similar hit and miss, mine happened to be warm, but many others complained of cold showers. This place does have the potential to be a really good hotel, but on the night of our visit (14th Dec 2024) there was very little that could be described as good, with the exception of the 2 young ladies on duty who done their absolute best in a dreadful situation.

The reception lady was excellent, having to deal with numerous problems from door mechanisms that weren't working to breakfast staff that hadn't turned up. Breakfast was odd. I guess they don't handle pork products, so there is a full "English" but with turkey bacon and beef sausages. The sausages were horrible, weird tasting and dry as sand. Turkey bacon just isn't bacon!

We had the opportunity to stay at Tong Park Hotel for a business trip and we were satisfied in every sense. The quiet and peaceful atmosphere of the hotel was ideal for relaxing during a business trip. The rooms were extremely clean, modern and comfortable, especially the beds were very comfortable. The meeting rooms offered by the hotel for our meetings were very well equipped and functional. The breakfast provided us with a good start to the day with its rich variety. The staff was extremely professional and friendly, and helped quickly in every matter. It is a hotel that can be safely preferred for business travel.

This is a beautiful hotel, clean and modern, and the staff can't do enough for you, I would definitely stay there again.

A basic budget hotel. It was Ok and was all that we needed, a bed for the night. We were at a wedding at a nearby venue so we didn't really spend any time in the hotel. The room and bed were fine although there was no AC in the room and it was a surprisingly warm weekend therefore the room was a bit stuffy... The windows only opened half an inch too. There's plenty of parking at the hotel and it's free, unlike a lot of hotels that charge extra for parking! The staff were Ok, although when we were eating breakfast there was a member of staff having a disagreement with another guest about a room mix-up and he didn't sound very polite or professional. Speaking of breakfast, it was decent but it was overpriced (£15!) and a bit too greasy. Overall it was Ok, that is all. If it was more expensive I would've been disappointed.

Very friendly and helpful staff in a very pleasant location.

The staff were friendly and food was nice, but there was a power cut in the morning (or a fuse blow) the power and lights went out... which was actually very dangerous as I was in the shower when this happened, with no windows in the shower room it went pitch black... I or people in other rooms could have hit their heads or tripped over etc.... not good at all!! I told the staff member who was at checked out.... only received only a "oh sorry.. that's not good" comment.
