Everything was top tier and couldn’t say anything bad about the food and service

The staff are really friendly and the food was tasty, definitely recommend especially the sunday roast

I’m struggling for words so I’ll keep it short. Food- massively over priced for pre cooked food, the seafood boil was too hot (spice wise) to actually taste the seafood. The meat was all pre cooked 100000000% Drinks- there are none! NO ALCOHOL. NO YOU CANT BRING YOUR OWN. You can have a can of pop though??? Anyone?? Pricing - massively over priced food. If you want a decent seafood restaurant the drum and monkey in Harrogate is mega. Atmosphere - again, there was none, the only things we could hear were people requesting a glass of wine. Answer is NO Cleanness - THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO CLEANLINESS. THE PLACE WAS GROSS!! Sticky tables, unclean plates and dirty chairs. Over all my conclusion is- never trust a Facebook ad!!!

The food was amazing, starters were fresh and big portions. The steak was one of the best steak i have had. Our waiter was called Omar, he was very polite and friendly and the customer service was 100% on point. Would definitely recommend this place.

Sunday roast was very nice. The portion is quite big. The surrouding and the vibe was very nice. Feels like fancy dinner restaurant. Recommended!

Food was good and service was good. The seating arrangements at the back is a bit awkward and not a good if you want to share food with others, so it is recommended for larger groups to sit on the tables lined in a row at the front portion of the restaurant.

Worth driving 250miles from Newcastle, it was Absolutely stunning experience & Great value for money, drove all the way with family to Bradford, to try the viral meat platter and loaded pulled beef fries 🤩🤩short ribs, brisket, wings, lamb chops everything was just good, the platter came with 2 sides, Spicy rice and garlic butter mushroom, which you have to try it, honestly I was in food coma, offcourse in a good way,for quite some time though. 😜 Mattin served us, he was very humble, knowledgeable & with good recommendations and he delivered excellent service, Omar at the cash desk was very warm & friendly too, they have the best staff, and cozy and welcoming ambience. Highly recommended to everyone around, surely will visit again soon this time for seafood boil & the steaks 🥩 🤩💪🏻 It’s 💯 Halal too..!

Post was worst of the worst. Didn’t like it at all and the taste was soo awful just the smell of onion in that sauce which seemed like wasnt even cooked such a waste of money. Went all the way from Oldham and didn’t eat the whole day and the portion was definitely not filling and no one was satisfied instead was laughing and was like what did we order for 155. That’s mad and won’t be going back ever again neither telling anyone but the waiter were very nice and friendly

Went to this place last night after reading good reviews. They weren’t wrong! We had 2 starters with the loaded beef fries as the main meal and we still had to take some home. Staff were very attentive and interactive all the time. Would recommend giving this place a try but book your table before you go.

I had one of the worst dining experiences here. I ordered a medium rare steak and was served a well-done piece of rubber. When I pointed this out to the waiter, he came back saying the chef insists it’s medium rare — clearly, they don’t have a proper steak chef in the kitchen. Either that, or they’ve never actually cooked a real steak before. The overall food quality was shockingly bad. Everything tasted either microwaved or straight out of a pre-packed Asda box — especially the mash and vegetables. Nothing felt fresh, and for the price you pay, that’s just unacceptable. To make things even worse, the hygiene was appalling. Tables were sticky, the floor was filthy, and the whole place just felt neglected. It’s honestly not a place I’d recommend to anyone looking for a decent meal or a clean environment. Avoid.

The food was excellent! The Stir fry mixed seafood is highly recommended. Satisfied my Malay food craving 😍 The sirloin steak came cooked as requested and melted in the mouth. Bagheswari was there at the ready should we need anything. Everyone at the restaurant helped us with a smile 😊. It was lovely to see visitors from all walks of life enjoying their food there. Would definitely come again.

Visited Porter House Bros today and unfortunately, it was a major disappointment from start to finish. We started with the Bang Bang Prawns, and honestly, they tasted identical to Costco’s frozen shrimp tempura. For a restaurant that prides itself on seafood, serving something so obviously pre-packaged is unacceptable. If I wanted frozen shrimp, I could have stayed home. The Brisket Loaded Fries were just as bad — completely flavorless. I kept eating, hoping to find one bite that actually had some seasoning or depth, but there was nothing. It felt lazy and thrown together without any real thought or effort. The steak was the only thing done right — cooked exactly how I ordered — but even that was overshadowed by the terrible peppercorn sauce, which was so watery it wouldn’t even stick to the meat. A proper sauce should enhance a steak, not slide off it like water. Beyond the food, the hygiene and atmosphere were just as disappointing. The tables were sticky and clearly not cleaned properly. Over four or five chairs had visible sauce and stains dripping down the backs, which is just gross. The general cleanliness was clearly not a priority. Add to that the dull, uninspired interior, and the whole experience felt tired and neglected. Porter House Bros seriously needs to rethink both its kitchen standards and its basic cleanliness. Based on today’s visit, I definitely wouldn’t recommend it — there are far better places to spend your money.

We have always chosen potters house as our go to birthday, graduation and dinner events. The Chef (Javaid’s) is so lovely, hospitable, and His meals are so delicious. I recommend potters house anytime.

We recently tried porterhouse bros We ordered BBQ plater for 2 and a large prawn plater ,and it was fantastic loads of flavor and lots of sides and sources. Bill was way less than expected it came out at £80 which in.our opinion is way less than what we pay usually, and the total amount of food was incredible

One one the worst meals out I've had in my life in terms of food.beef ribs dry ,lamb ribs dry with unrendered fat brisket dry inedible ,chicken wings still clucking.i had to bring everything home and remix it to make it edible.i don't usually write reviews but this was shocking.for the money your paying aswell you expect decent food.save your money people and go somewhere else or go and try it for yourselves.but don't say I didn't warn you.

This place really wasn't for us, we didn't enjoy the food at all, very bland, no flavour. Guy that was serving was like he was being forced to be there, maybe he was having a bad day. Only my opinion, we did travel for two hours, so I feel more dissapointed. Prices aren't cheap. Personally wouldn't try again.

The greatest catfish I’ve ever experienced — someone call Nev. This steakhouse looked incredible on Instagram, but the illusion shattered the moment we walked in. The drop in quality was instant and only got worse. We ordered a £45 platter and managed to stomach maybe three pieces of chicken and some lamb before we gave up. Everything tasted strange, the flavours were just off and it looked a mess. The venue itself was grubby. The atmosphere was bleak, the menus were covered in old food stains, and the food? Some of the worst I’ve ever been served. Genuinely shocking for the price point. You can tell they think they have a passion for food — in the same way Jimmy Saville has a passion for kids… it’s just wrong. Safe to say I’ll never step foot in a Bradford restaurant again after this mess. Absolutely awful. The quickest I’ve been in and out of a restaurant.

Service was very slow and our waitress struggled to understand what we were saying. Cutlery was dirty and food too quite a while around 35 minutes to get our starters. We then had to ask for more cutlery when mains arrived. The portions are massive and the quality is average, some of the food was cold, we were given replacements for the cold food. Overall I wouldn't recommend.

Avoid avoid avoid. I booked a table at this place for this mothers for 7 people weeks ago. When we arrived on Mother’s Day it was closed, everywhere else was super busy and unable to accommodate us. This ruined Mother’s Day for 3 mothers. If the shop was going to be closed they should have told me this on booking or at least rang me a few days before to let me know so I could have organised else where. Disgusting what they’ve done. Avoid at all costs. Also a blessing in disguise as when we arrived - it was not we was expecting the outside was looked run down. Not how it was advertised at all. I wouldn’t bother - looks like it’s never opened up in first place it’s so run down.

My daughter booked for mother's day, I was really looking forward to it, my daughter travelled from Manchester, turned up for the 1.00pm reservation, it was CLOSED, Why couldn't someone have the decency to ring me daughter up with some sort of explanation, not happy,

Our first time but most definitely won’t be our last, food was wow, delicious, and very plenty!! Ended up with 3 trays coming home with us. Staff are really friendly and very helpful. A lovely night out with my children. It doesn’t serve alcohol, however we didn’t miss it, the food itself spoke volumes, will be recommending it to everyone. See you again soon.

Went as a family of 4 (walk in), had starters, and main. Absolutely fantastic food and service. Cannot fault it at all. Came out of the restaurant with a very happy (full) family. Only issue: Tried ringing for a reservation a number of times but nobody picked up. Could do with a bit of music in the background. Will definitely be back to try more fantastic food 5*

My husband and I decided to try this restaurant for date night. Unfortunately, the atmosphere wasn’t as inviting as we had hoped. The interior felt a bit dull, and it lacked the decor we expected considering the prices of the menu. As for the food, it was decent. We both ordered steak, which was on the pricey side but cooked perfectly and full of flavor. It was definitely the highlight of the meal. However, small details took away from the experience. We weren’t given cutlery right away, which meant waiting to start our meal. My husband ordered a mocktail that initially tasted like cough syrup, but to their credit, the staff replaced it without issue. The service was polite overall, but we noticed some unprofessional behavior—staff members were standing near the kitchen, eating in the same area where food was coming out. It wasn’t a good look for a restaurant trying to maintain a professional image. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, but it wasn’t particularly impressive either. The food was good, but the atmosphere and little service details left something to be desired. We might give it another try in the future, but it wouldn’t be our first choice for a special night out.

Hands down, this was an amazing place for food and the atmosphere was great. Food, service and atmosphere 👌🏽 we went there for my partners birthday meal and the steak, brisket fries was very good! We were seated in a nice cosy area and the staff were attentive. Now the downside.. we didn’t have a reservation & called to make one and was told they are very busy and aren’t taking reservations, the waiting time is around 2 hours, so we decided just to turn up and when we turned up we were seated in 5mins, it actually wasn’t too busy like a full house.. it was a Friday night.. but still till today I don’t know why they said that .. :)

Went one Sunday, social media page said they open at 12 for the Sunday lunch (got there it opened at 1pm) sitting down a bit annoyed the food came out and they fully redeemed themselves, it was fantastic and we walked away happy customers having being told come back no booking needed and we will see you soon. We came back the week after having brought family all the way from Harrogate to be informed ‘if we didn’t book we couldn’t have the roast as they didn’t have enough.’ Naturally we were instantly shocked having been told not once, not twice but 3 times on different occasions no reservations was needed. We showed the owner a screenshot sent from THEIR social media where an individual stated this in black and white. No apologies were given, no accountability was taken and generally they just didn’t care at all even though we had brought family to their place who drove over an hour only to be turned away. Poor general running and lack of customer service is something I hope you genuinely improve on but unfortunately you’ve lost a large group of returning customers. Absolutely appalling

Ordered a haddock fish burger got a salmon fish burger Ordered a well done, no pink in it steak got a half pink stake. Spicy lamb burger was nice. However got a free lamb spicy burger to make up for the fish burger And also no charge for the steak.

What a meal. We came for the seafood boil, and the seafood boil won!! Every mouthful was amazing from the blooming onion starter to every ounce of the seafood boil. The well spiced, but not firey, sauce permeated beautifully through the prawns, the lobster, the ample seafood and made the perfect partner to the sweetness of the crab. All in all, we loved every minute but the highlight would be the staff. Incredibly friendly and so helpful for newbies like us. Will definitely make the trip again soon.

An amazing experience, enjoying the seafood boil and meat plater. The staff were great, the food was very well prepared and seasoned. It can get messy so be prepared! The gloves and apron were a must! Highly recommend.

£15 for a tiny bellow average chicken burger worth about 3 quid max, Another £15 for a sea bass dry as a camel's foot, Steak was ok, Slightly overcooked, Mushroom sauce was appalling, Pretty sure they used packet gravy and just added some mushrooms

Ordered the beef brisket on fries. Portion was a very generous helping enough for 2 people. Had a sweet taste to it however I ha e a spicey palate and would have preferred that rather than the sweet taste. Would love to go back and try seafood broil however my friend was not too keen so will now try and find friends who are willing to go and share the experience with me. Was also hoping to get a dessert but unfortunately not a lot of options as we wanted the trio cheesecakes but they were out of stock.

We visited the place today service was brilliant from the young girl very polite. However after a few hours staying at home we had a bad turn over. Food quality wasn’t the best because we was throwing up and obviously spending hours in toilet. Definitely not visiting that place again

Pretty disappointing. The place itself looks decent and decor was ok. We were seated at a double table which was unstable and wobbly. This was the beginning of the end. Everything seemed to go downhill from here. However, the staff seemed friendly and helpful. The food looks a lot better than it tastes, and for the prices charged you would expect it to be a lot better. Unfortunately this is not the case. We ordered a variety of dishes of which, only the vegetables were up to scratch. Everything else (Mac n cheese, sea bass, brisket fries and burger) were very disappointing. I could go on about the poor quality of food but, I'll conclude by saying this.., I won't be visiting this place again.

Went there for the first time and honestly loved every bit of our visit . A bit pricey for a meal but you get your moneys worth . My husband and I ordered the pulled beef loaded fries which were honestly loaded with so much meat and cheese . Then we also got the lamb steak and it was cooked as I asked for it to be which medium . The flavours on the lamb were delicious . My husband ordered a rib eye steak and asked for it to be medium rare . It was the best steak he has ever had . Well done to the chefs ! Keep it up . Service was also amazing from the minute we walked in and food came to the table in a timely manner . Will definitely be visiting again soon for the surf menu .

With a booking for a birthday celebration. Pre-checked menu online to make sure there was something available to myself being vegetarian. Upon arrival the menus are different. ALL ITEMS ARE CROSS CONTAMINATED even though they are listed as Vegetarian (which means they aren’t vegetarian). Clueless. Disappointing that absolutely nothing is available and the fact the listing states vegetarian. Education required. The Coke Zero was excellent though! Very filling after the wait of 30mins for it to arrive. For those with any different dietary requirements are preferences, wouldn’t recommend! (Had to rate minimum of 1 star or it wouldn’t let me post. 0 it should be)

Tried this steakhouse today, was averagely busy but managed to get seated straight away. very clean and friendly place. service was spot on from start to finish. Food was cooked to our liking and everything was very fresh. Sirloin steak was amazing and tasted great. The bbq smoke platter was also great apart from the blooming onion(found it to be a waste). We had 2 staff members waiting on us tonight, got us everything we needed instantly. Slight pricy compared to similar places but overall great experience. Will come back again

Ordered brisket loaded fried with cheese Brisketvwas very hard and chewy no taste. Fries was old and not fresh.seems like they just been re heated. The sauces was nice. First time for takeout will not be going back. Front Staff 5 stars

No issue with the portion sizes. We ordered a turf platter for two and a surf platter for one. The turf platter was alright, lamb chops were good, chicken was OK, the issue was that some of the meat was almost pure fat and we had to raise the issue for them to replace with better ones. The dip that came with it was really nice. The surf platter was good, wasn't good for the children though because it was too spicy. Both platters came with the battered onion, it was really nice on the turf platter, but it was soggy on the surf platter because all the seafood was on top of it. Overall it was OK, some nice bits but the fatty bits were off-putting.

I visited porter house bros today i.e 09/01/2025 and wanted to share my experience. Upon entering, I was warmly welcomed by the staff and promptly seated, which was a positive start. My drink and starters were enjoyable, but unfortunately, the experience took a downturn when it came to the main course. When my main dish was served, the cutlery was missing. Despite trying to get the attention of a waiter, I had to wait an additional 5 minutes before receiving it. This delay was frustrating, especially given the expectations for a restaurant of this caliber. I ordered a T-bone steak, specifying that I wanted it cooked medium, but slightly more done than usual—without crossing into medium-well territory. However, when I began eating, the steak was extremely chewy and difficult to cut, even with a steak knife. After just a few bites, my jaw started to hurt, and I ended up leaving most of it untouched. I attempted to raise my concerns with a staff member, but they didn’t seem equipped to handle the situation. For a restaurant of this reputation, I expected much higher standards. Unfortunately, the quality of the steak and the service did not meet my expectations. It’s disappointing, as establishments like this should uphold a level of excellence.

Food was so well professionally cooked, those confit lamb ribs would recommend 😍 The steak, mac & cheese and fish dishes we did feel could do with some seasoning (even just more s&p used in cooking would have been good) just because I do know it's trying to aim to the Muslim audience (which I do really appreciate thank you) who are generally south Asian in this region so I do think they may find it a little bland compared to usual food lol, maybe if you had some hot sauce, chilli flakes and salt available with your other sauces you offer on the table that would be much appreciated. Waiters we're generally quite attentive, just a couple of times had to repeat requests. We didn't have to wait for a table - we went around 7:20 on a Saturday so maybe don't worry about booking table on their website if there's a small group.

We ate on Christmas Day, what an Amazing Special treat. Ordered a prawn starter, not realising how huge my main would be. I had the Seafood platter for one !! Just incredible, The Lobster Tail and Crabs legs , King Scallops, King Prawns galore, along with Clams and Mussels. We loved our meal and the service was great. Short staffed so none of the amazing Mocktails were being served, but honestly the high standard of food made it so very worthwhile the visit. Can't wait to come back !!!

It was are First time at the restaurant, have seen seen it a lot on social media. The food was great and with such a variety of choices, have to give a big shout out for Matin he was amazing as he new the menu like the back of his hand, he definitely needs a pay rise

We visited with a big family .we requested for someone to explain parts of the meat menu .we had an unexperienced server who passed us onto another person who casually explained whilst Walking past in a unprofessional manner .he didnt come back to clarifythe meats.more attention needs to be paid with customer service. We ordered several parts of meat which were a let down as tough and steak knives so blunt. Loaded fries a big let down . The atmosphere was not good as we could hear one of the workers constantly shouting at the kitchen staff in an unprofessional way .

***The Best Restaurant in Bradford**** I have been here so many times and not once have I been disappointed or not left with a doggy bag. The selection of food and range of prices means you can spend less than £15 and eat amazing food and not finish it, or you could splash out and get some of their top tier dishes for a special occasion. I'm always sceptical about getting seafood in restaurants as it's usually over cooked, not fresh and you never get enough. This is hand on heart the only place I have been where I can guarantee that I will not be disappointed. This is my 8th trip and have been waiting for a special occasion to try the seafood boil, me and my GF got the small seafood boil to share for £85 it came with two sides and was filled to the brim with all the good stuff. Hats off to the chefs because for managing to pull of a dish like that where the whole lobsters are cooked together with scallops and squid and there are not over cooked. I want to give a special shout out to the head chef Jawed for finally bringing something different to Bradford. There is not a thing this man hasn't put in front of me that I havnt loved The combination of flavours, fresh ingredients and a unique dining experience has really put this as the top place to eat in Bradford. Thanks to all the serving staff who always make you feel welcome and talk you through the menu. Omar and Khalid thanks for always going the extra mile to make sure everyone enjoys their time there. If your unsure if you should try it then I can't recommend it enough.

The lamb ribs were the softest I have ever had absolutely delicious 😋 we had ordered the seafood platter for one to share and thank goodness we did because the portions are so big 😳so all ready with gloves and aprons and tools to tuck in …..that we did .! My goodness it was a feast. The sauce what came to compliment the sea food was so tasty. I don’t even know how we managed to eat the dream cake after but we did and that was lovely too . Definitely worth a visit and we will be back 😋
