Tom's Fish & Chips in Sefton

Fantastic tasty food and best chips I have ever had. Staff always very friendly and helpful and excellent choice of meals.

First time here , had the worst sweet chilli chicken I’ve ever had , the so called chicken was just strips of batter I just could taste any chicken, I was so looking forward to it but so disspointed, I just ate the rice wit the sauce , the rest went in the bin. Very disappointed customer.

Not someone who usually gets fish from the chip shop - often find it too greasy - but these guys have converted me! This is the best fish and chips we have found in the area and is now our go to spot. OK, so the queues may be long but that's a testament to the food...

The best Chinese in Southport. Food is great. Does get busy (especially Saturday 5-8. Largest portions I e ever seen. The last time I went was just for a portion of large chips. I'm well acquainted with the owners wife, and the portion was a whole basket full of the nicest crispiest chips you'll taste in Southport. It did 2 generous portions, plus a potion for lunch the next day. Main meals are freshly prepared. They do a great special fried rice that even has king prawns as well as meat, TDF combination starters and humongous Chop suey rolls (ask for no batter on the roll as for some strange reason it comes battered. Fish are Ginormous too. Best Chinese takeaway for miles. I keep telling them to start doing wedding buffets (hot of course), but they say they did it once and it's not worth the hassle. You really have to try it to believe it, so as the Chinese say, Xièxiè for reading.

I've been going to this chippy for 15 years or more I worked as a chef for many years my motto was allways if you wouldn't eat it yourself then do t give it the customer I've never had an issue with this place I don't often eat a lot of takeaway meals probably two times a month because I like to cook at home but if I don't Tom's chippy allways my first port of call

A good reliable fish and chip shop, very nice chips and a great and good quality fish. They also do Chinese meals, and my family has told me they are delicious and they can't get enough! Very reasonable pricing too.

Very disappointed with Tom's today 23rd May 2023. My wife and I have a treat every couple of weeks. We like the sausage dinner at dinner time. We ordered today at midday so it wasn't open long and on previous occasions we have been around 13:15 and find that the sausage are luke warm and very dry. Today the whole dinner was rubbish. The sausages was bland along with the peas and God knows what happened to the chips. They was like 2 days old and reheated. The only thing we could taste was the gravy, today gravy without onions. We generally love their onion gravy. We shall give it a miss for the foreseeable future.

We live locally and out of the many takeaways in Southport this is our favourite for Chinese food. Chow mein, char siu fried rice, salt and pepper ribs and salt and pepper chips are our latest favourites. Toms is really well worth a visit!
