Had to wait 20 mins for them to cook a chicken kebab which turned out to be rather small and undercooked. Chips where tiny and really really greasy. £12.00! Used to be really good a few years ago but not now.

TERRIBLE. Customer service was awful woman couldn’t be more miserable, a large chips is NOT a large it’s a small at a push, which comes in a box that makes the chips soggy by the time you’re home. Oh and £4.40 for the privilege.. don’t bother

I'm a girlfriend of a regular and I love the food and the way they treat him and me there so friendly.

Good range of various take away foods - always hot & fresh. Been again today 12/04/24 still superb, lovely fish (haddock) and gaawgeous chips! 5star.

This place is immaculate. You can see how much pride they take with hygiene and quality of food. Highly recommend.

Maybe went on a bad day and only had sausages in batter but they were not good, dripping in oil and oil tasted very burnt like it was well overdue being, cannot recommend unfortunately. 😞

This chip shop is the worst in the area. The prices are very high and the portions are tiny compared to everywhere else. Chips are always dark in colour and mushy, from old oil and the kebab meat is always undercooked. To make matters worst I recently ordered chips and Doner meat in a tray. No Salad! All the other shops always give some salad.When I questioned it I was told it comes with chips instead.????. Really. Last time I go to Tommy's.

Chicken kebab and chicken burger super tasty.

Very oily fish, chips looked and tasted like 2 days old....... Total regret!!!!!!! Oh and fish wrapped in paper and chips in Styrofoam...... Why???? Some reviews claim the food is great.... Sad reality is it is not..... For those that do like it and think this is the right standard.... Please continue to fill your boots and continue to contribute to public spending...... For those with tastebuds..... Give it a miss.... Nice people at the shop however can't dispute the friendliness.

Worst place ever, the guy in the shop followed me around grange park taking photos of me like I’m an ex convict, Tommy is off his head . Food tasted like dog water😶‍🌫️

Competent but unexciting fish & chips, slightly greasy and not much fish, in soft batter. Non-recyclable foam containers and cash only - what business doesn't take cards? Mushy peas more like soup.

Always have a lovely meal from here. The owners are so friendly and polite.

Battered sausage and chips, can't go far wrong. Chips were a little soft and greasy but ok.

Do not eat the donor kebabs in this establishment. Otherwise you will have a bad belly for days

I had read some good reviews of this place, but I'm afraid our experience was anything but. Service was good and staff were friendly, but the food was awful. Fish was swimming in oil when we got it home and had too much batter and the chips were soggy. Come on guys, you can do better than this

Disappointed chips not edible . chicken fillet burger was edible but was made from processed not fillet. I don't like giving a bad review but I had to.

Love this fish bar, only given four stars as I've only ever had chips and battered sausage (a few times as lunch at work) so I can't comment on the fish or kebabs just yet :) chips are always good though and staff are really friendly :) Just to note (as I didn't know the first time I visited) this chippy is cash only so make sure to have some cash on you if planning on visiting!

I love going to Tommy's. Food is great and everyone is always so welcoming and friendly. I have to drive past my local chippie to get to Tommy's and I'm happy to do it.

Best fish and chips I’ve found away from the sea side, really good! Had them twice now and faultless both times, only accept cash though but there’s a cash point located almost opposite

Better kebabs than Hunsbury fish bar but that isn't difficult.

Really oily frozen chewy fish in fresh batter very small portion . Chips not edible, oil needs changed as do the potatoes sourced. Extremely oily, It was dreadful. Could only eat around the edges, looks not bad in pic but I'm putting all that in the bin and I'm not that picky.

Absolutely disgusted!! The chips were far too good for me and the kebab tasted like food. Not happy as all as I really enjoyed it. Staff were far too happy for my liking and I'll probably keep coming back.. Not happy at all

I get food from here occasionally and it’s always good. However whilst waiting for my food I noticed that staff were dealing with cash and then touching food. No gloves were worn. Plus they were using the tongs to turn meat and the same tongs to turn the pita bread. In these times this is unacceptable.

Previously I've recieved great fish and chips however recently ordered fish n chips for 5 people cod was great however the chips were soggy and some were undercooked I hope this will improve IF I return!

Definitely got food poisoning from a lunch time kebab. Staff are lovely but will be avoiding in future.

This is not a chip shop, it's a kebab shop that sells fish and chips. It doesnt sell anything close to what a chippy should sell (no puddings, gravy, scratchings, potato fritters.) It is expensive (£3.50 for small peas and chips), bread rolls no butter on them. Is not and never will be a chip shop anyone who think it is, or is reasonably priced, has never been to a real chippy in there life. Thanks for the disappointment

We have had food from here twice now and both times have been good. The food is freshly cooked and the staff are friendly

Worst chips I ever had in my life. No kidding! Really heavy because they are fried at low temperature so they suck all the oil in and they are not crispy. Very mashy texture and oily! Two times went there and both were not nice! Due to that fact my belly was hurting after eating them. The burguer was okish, meat was hard and there was a little bone that I had to chew on. Luckily I did not hurt myself... Phew! Salad was fresh and sauces were kept in a fridge which is great. Last time I had a kebab and did not like it either. It was overcooked and chips were as bad as today. I don’t think I will be back.

Tucked away at Grange Park is Tommys takeaway. Very friendly service and reasonable prices. My chicken kebab was delicious!! Does not accept cards for payment, but there is a free to use ATM opposite. Visit with confidence.

Prices which have recently been raised but remain affordable, delicious burgers and chips, friendly and helpful manager. Spring rolls you absolutely must try, they are made by them and they are a delight!
