This place does not deserve its entry in the Extra Mile. Waited quite a while for a simple baked potato and cheese. The cheese was minimal - a dusting - and too much butter. No side salad or any accompanying food to enjoy. Just under £10. The mark up is huge - effectively 50p to buy ingredients. I mentioned the lack of cheese and my disappointment. Met with lack of interest and no apology or reaction by three staff.

Awful lunch menu and quality of food. We travelled over an hour to meet a friend for lunch. Limited menu, no details, very basic description. All 5 meals had to be sent back as luke warm baked potatoes, no cheese on. Also no mayonnaise in prawn mayo or tuna mayonnaise baguette. Expensive menu. Never going back. Chilly room as door remained open, even after asking to close it.

Visited with a group for afternoon tea.Very disappoInted. The sandwiches had clearly been made well in advance and the bread had started to go crisp. The scones were very dry and stale. The pastry items were served cold and were lacking flavour.I felt it was very poor value for the cost.Having said that we were given a reduction.I My advice would be keep it simple,do it well and people will return.Do it poorly and you loose custom.

16 members of Brackley u3a visited for afternoon tea. We have been having afternoon teas for many years and without doubt this was the worst we've ever had. No planning whatsoever. £18 for a sandwich - sausage roll - some not very good cake - and a half of a really dry rock hard scone (I say a half as it was obvious they didn't have enough to go round!! Some were given a cheese scone to accompany their cream and jam)!!!!!!! We've been here several times before and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, alas, we won't be coming back. I’d love to tell you what the food tasted like but ended up having to leave without eating. Quiet work day, we assumed 1 hour would be sufficient. It looked a bit sleepy (in a nice way) so checked at the start how long it would be. 40mins in we were told “don’t worry it’s just on its way”. 10mins later we were told “I’m sorry I’ve just been told it will be at least another 10 mins”. Had to leave. V disappointing as taking my parents out for lunch. Wouldn’t risk coming here if time constrained.

What a fabulous little place. Upstairs and downstairs give completely different vibes. The staff were helpful but the chef went the extra mile. Genuinely very impressed and glad we popped in. Great atmosphere and the food was delicious. Very personable, they catered for my dietary needs and didn’t hesitate. Cakes looked amazing, also had some vegan cakes and some gluten free cakes. They sell gluten free and vegan sweets, sauces and chocolate. Even dog treats sold here - all good quality. Massive appreciation to the chef who made it possible, and with a smile… it makes a huge difference when you feel welcome, especially with dietary challenges. Thank you!

Stopped here guided by The Extra Mile while heading up the M40 to Stafford. Mid morning quite quiet weekday, two or three other tables on the go,. 'English' breakfast and a stack of pancakes. Two decent coffees. Pleasant, slightly relaxed service, well cooked food. Decent coffee. £30 for two including half a dozen eggs Clean loos, quaint farmyard setting, a good reuse of an old barn. Just our sort of thing. A good pit-stop close to the motorway

We arrived at 1:30pm for lunch for family of 5. After an hour of waiting I chased up our food to find out that our order hadn’t gone through to the kitchen properly. A problem they were apparently aware of from previous experience (so why didn’t you check earlier!). We waited another half hour and chased food again to be told it was just coming. Most of us were half way through our meal by the time the last meal came out. The food itself was lovely. But the service was terrible. It really spoilt our lunch as everyone was grumpy by the time it arrived and we were late for an afternoon activity. Really disappointed. We were discounted for 4 drinks for the trouble. I wouldn’t recommend this cafe and we won’t be back. I asked about putting in a formal complaint. We left at 3:20pm.

I’ve been here three times so I believe I have a fair enough experience to review. The staff are so very friendly and they’re really accommodating for children too. The decor has been well thought out and you feel very welcomed, beautiful food and produce and great great coffee, which is the main thing! I love that you can order a glass of Prosecco and a cheese board for one too, this is my idea of heaven ! A few bits of produce to buy too, it really is a lovely place to visit with a lovely area for a walk with what looks like a potential fairy house 😉:) can’t wait to come again.

We were a mature group of three and on arrival we asked the young girl behind the counter if it was table service and she told us that it was. In all we saw four girls on the cafe floor and one lad in the kitchen. We waited and waited and failed to get any service. There were two other tables occupied and one girl was slowly cleaning tables. I asked her if we could be served. She went off to the counter where the other three were. We waited a further 10 minutes and left as no one served us. 5 members of staff and hardly any customers. Sadly Ill motivated and poorly trained young staff. I could not recommend this place to anyone

When travelling long distance we always try to avoid Motorway service stations, unless it’s Gloucester or Tebay which are excellent. We have a really useful book called: The Extra Mile. It gives reviews and locations of good places to stop not far from the motorways. As on the M40, we perused the book and it recommended Limes Farm cafe. We weren’t disappointed. Lovely food and wonderful cakes in particular. Very friendly people also. Really pleased to have found the cafe and will definitely stop there again when on an M40 journey. Only a few minutes off the motorway and definitely worth a stop. Highly recommend

We absolutely love this place since it’s been under new management and visit regularly as it’s only a 10 minute drive from Kings Sutton. The food is delicious, mostly home made from quality ingredients and is always super tasty with generous portions that are very reasonably priced. They know how to fry an egg with a runny yoke and make a sausage roll that’s pretty hard to beat. Snacks, brunch, lunch it’s all good. The cake and sweet treats selection is vast and everything we’ve tried so far has definitely hit the spot. Especially nice when you just want a coffee and a catch up with a friend with a little something extra on the side. It’s a beautifully laid out, warm and cozy country cafe with a thoughtful small play table area for young children. Tables have plenty of space between them, perfect for more than one high chair so you don’t feel crammed in, and dogs are welcome too! The staff are always very friendly and welcoming, highly accommodating to any requests, nothing is ever too much trouble. Give this place a try and see for yourself, you won’t regret it! This cafè is gorgeous. It’s so magical and warm inside. I would’ve never thought that this gem was hidden in Farthinghoe. My family and I live in Banbury and driven by and haven’t noticed it until I’ve decided to pop in and try it. I must say it’s truly cute😍. It was the perfect place to read my book and gain peace and quiet. The food I ordered tasted so delicious, as was the chocolate cake. The staff are attentive, kind and engaging. This will be my new break away coffee spot away from my generic Starbucks spot.

We had high tea here, the place is gorgeous and the service was fabulous.. the food was let down by rock hard stale tasting scones, we had to return them, sadly they didn't have any left but without hesitation took some money off the bill. I'm not sure what went wrong today but given the competition in the area for similarly priced high teas I would be reviewing your scone provider and maybe warm them up to before serving..the devil is in the detail. Otherwise we had a lovely time..not sure I could confidently recommend the high tea at this point though.

We had a great experience at the Roade House Hotel when we were here recently for a work trip. The family that works here is so welcoming and lovely, the rooms were large with some beautiful original features while still being modern. They have a restaurant on site which had lovely homemade meals and the breakfast was great.

Went with family for dinner, really nice room upstairs, food was all great, good choice of beers, we were looked after by the staff there and we will definitely be back.

A really good roast dinner with more than ample portions. Walked in off the street but would advise to book. Friendly and cosy and in one area you can take dogs.

Staying at Hilton at Silverstone and decided to pop in for something to eat Friday evening. Found staff to be very friendly and service good. Son and I ordered a pizza each, which were excellent.
