One star because although it's lovely the toilets are always quite grim.

Staff very polite and helpful. Food good but unnecessarily expensive but the entrance floor vinyl tiling and sticky tape is shameful and more importantly a safety hazard. It’s been like it for ages. Spend some of your profits looking after your customers and staff!! One star given for Atmosphere due to the state of the vinyl floor tiling. I have a photo of the floor but cannot see anywhere to post it. The Costa Quality Auditor was there when we visited. He confirmed that he had taken a photo of the flooring aswell so let’s hope it gets renewed. A poor advertisement for a successful chain.

It was very expensive to dine in, but good customer service

It's not possible to give this no stars .the place is run down you get your drink made their way not necessarily the way you've asked like extra hot wet .if you complain you are given attitude from the many kids that work there .they are rude unprofessional and are always moaning .it's like a playground and you'll get your drink when they can put their phones down .I've been in there at 4.45 and told we are shut and refused a drink .no darling your opening times are 7.5 which tells customers they can get a drink up to 5oclock .not you want to be walking out the door at 5.

Love Costa, but Towcester's branch on Watling Street is my number 1. Great cheery team, warm welcome and bright, airy cafe / seating areas. Popping in to get my coffee is always the highlight of my day. Thank you Team Towcester.

Costa coffee is always my preferred choice. This branch is nice looking, clean and staff are really good whenever I visit

Greatest staff ever. Michaela and Jo are the best people you could hope to meet during the early-morning rush hour battle for coffee, let alone in life in general.

Surprisingly, this costa has more seating at the back of the building and has separate male & female toilets. Staff were friendly as usual.

friendly welcome. Very helpful team. limited but adequate food selection. little natural light so head office could improve lighting as impractical to read paper / book etc. Like many Costas, the swinging a/c units make it feel draughty especially as many seats are close to wall. Very limited parking close by, though convenient location amongst the high street shops.

On the way back from the garden centre on a rather warm day we passed here and decided to stop for a cold drink, I haven't had Costa for a long while so I thought it was time to try one of there cold drinks. I have no fault with how they made the drinks or served me at the till, the only thing I didn't enjoy while I looked at the menu was both girls were staring at me which made me feel I needed to hurry up and decide what I wanted, I will also add we were the only ones in the cafe, no one behind or in front.

Disgusting food - soggy toasted sandwiches. Iced tea was served WARM. Toilet area was DISGUSTING. Staff extremely rude...will not be visiting again.

I like a costa, it's a treat for me as prices higher that most places. But I go for the atmosphere and wonderful smell of coffee in the air. Only thing I don't enjoy is the time spent in the queue. I always feel like leaving half way into the queue. Its not the staff's fault they work hard, and the drinks and food are worth it in the end 😃.

Coffee was average , something has changed with costa it used to be a regular place for me but the independent coffee shops offer a better coffee and better customer service

This place is always bad, feels bit grubby and 1 in 5 staff is genuinely polite. I love Costa coffee but when they make it here, it’s not so good 😔 Also they tend to just change their closing time sporadically and without warning so careful if you’re heading there for an afternoon visit!

Very dark inside. Lady on till very slow and had to ask 4 times! What I would like. It was only 2 drinks! Drinks were very slow in being made. Very frothy and bubbly milk. No breakfast baps available at 10am for Costa meal deal. Asked at till told don't know if any. Really not impressed. Go elsewhere for a coffee.

Costa has always been my go to coffee shop however yesterday the service was so incredibly slow with only 1 customer ahead of me in the queue. There were 4 staff present at the time - 3 stood around doing nothing leaving 1 to make all the drinks on her own. I appreciate there is only one coffee machine but 2 people could be using it at the same time as it's big enough to cope with it. Not sure why the other 3 were just standing back watching, as they didn't appear to be doing anything else at the time. It wasn't a great experience considering that I was in a rush and it wasn't exactly busy......

Convenient coffee shop for shoppers. Service can be slow at times, and counter staff inexperienced. Today I was served by a trainee who did not seem to know how to tamp the grounds correctly in the portafilter, or to warm the cup. Costa tarts are great! Passion fruit today.

Typical Costa's in need of a revamp a little bit tired

I went to this Costa last Wednesday to work on my laptop but wireless connection was so poor. I ordered a latte to drink in. 1/4 of the latte came as foam. Thanks to Heili all these problems sorted out. Really appreciated to her help and welcoming

Staff reasonably friendly and if you go at the right time not the usual Costa crèche. More seats that it looks as well as you continue to the back. Air conditioned when they pit it on in the summer. No views if not sat at the front so a bit of a cave. Opening hours are poor compared to ones in MK.

Had to clear a table, disorganised staff & no toilet paper!!! Gone right downhill.

Same as any other Costa but with nice staff and in a nice building.

Really bad, coffee was too milky to start with and then the one they remade for me taste burnt. Very disappointing, I now have to travel to Northampton sixfields if I want a Costa as I'd rather make the journey and know its going to be nice then drive 5 minutes down the road to be disappointed.

Stressful Sunday afternoon. Ordered a flat white with almond milk; good thing I spot the Barista frothing full fat milk in there...I've never had to wait 30 mins for a flat white and tea (which they got wrong) even in the City during the mornings! Very questionable service when there's enough staff and not that busy.

If you like Luke warm coffee then this would suit you. Not for me though. Won't be going back

Went on Tuesday at 1100am and it was closed. Assume they can't get staff due to Brexit/Covid, and only paying minimum wage...

Perfect for a nice cuppa and snack. In all honesty it is a little overpriced but it's also good for a treat. Though short staffed they are doing an amazing job, I urge you to treat them with respect and be patient :)

This is a shame, very slow service and just not very friendly staff.

Coffee great, staff delivery good and exactly as asked I.e. hot latte. Decoration and general cleanliness especially toilets just not good enough. Needs good clean and possibly repaint. Door broken swings open to each passing lorry.

Food + drinks are amazing, it is a bit pricey but is worth it. The hot chocolates are amazing, I recommend.

Consistent from the point of that they always get something wrong! Today was me ordering a large hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows but ending up with a medium without the marshmallows! I couldn’t be bothered to put it right due to the large queue behind me. Will only be using the self-service Costa in the local Tesco from now on.

It's another carbon copy Costa. Coffee is OK, place is cleaning and staff are trained to smile the uniform Costa smile.

Visit weekly. It could do with more coffee machines and staff to work them. Sometimes my wait for coffee I consider too long.
