Toby Carvery Woodford in Redbridge

The food was lovely and the staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially our server Nancy she was very polite and attentive.

I had breakfast here with my family on my birthday this week, and I had such a lovely time. As always the food was spot on. Joe, Louis and Alex went out of their way to make me feel extra special as well. I eat, or have a drink here regularly, and it's always great!

Had a voucher for £6 normal Carvery £7.99 for the larger plate, as we normally go on a Sunday this was a great opportunity to have a good old roast on a Friday for a lot less...Good service, nice food, comfortable surroundings and great company made for a very pleasant evening

Great Carvery, go to Toby quite often always have a good meal here. Looks great after their makeover! The staff are very friendly and approachable too we asked nicely for some fresh carrots and it really wasn’t an issue they replenished them within 2 minutes and then brought us over a bowl!

I had just taken my cat to the PDSA nearby and whilst waiting for my bus I stopped to get a drink. James served me and he was so friendly, helpful and nice when I enquired if I could go through to the garden with my cat. He went out of his way to find something for my cat to drink some water from and was more than helpful when I asked if rather than go to the ladies toilet I could use the accesible one. Excellent customer service skills and after what had been a worrying time for me and my cat being distressed made me feel at ease and comfortable which in turn so did my baby cat so a big thank you to him A lovley relaxing friendly pub and great staff.

Had such an amazing experience and great service from Conor, food was great too love the roasties, would 100% recommend !!

Food was fab, parking was good and clear, host was very nice and so was all the waitresses ! Well definitely be coming back :)

The worst experience ever. Tuesday afternoon very quite Waited for 15 mins to get gravy? And another 7 mins to get a measly portion of apple sauce? All the veg and potatoes were cold? Then waited 12 mins for a desert? Luckily I ordered the bill at the same time as the desert. Absolutely disgusting food and service. Would not recommend to an enemy steer clear.

The food was very dry and not hot the waitress ask if everything was ok we said no the food is only warm, so she said i will put it in the microwave for you I have never known that in a carvery . Then the couple at the next table ask if she would do that with there meal to , I just can’t believe if the food should be hot all the time

Went to Toby Carvery Woodford with my best friend for a catch up. We had a table booked for 2 o clock. I was slightly disappointed on this visit as the food was dry and the vegetables hadn’t been replenished. Never experienced this before and we always book at 2 at Woodford as Snaresbrook is always too crowded. Great service by Maddie though. She bought our drinks, dessert menu, desserts and bill promptly and was able to inform us on the seasonal sponge and crumble available. Asked Jill for a dessert menu as she was passing and was waiting ages and still did not receive it.

Amazing, we'd booked for 12.30pm, on Christmas Eve. We were surprised, when we walked in, at a bit before 12.30pm, there were a few groups/individuals there, but not packed out. There was a party of 8 of us, including an almost teenager, 2 teenagers, and 5 adults. Our server was Tamar, who was kept busy, however she came over a few times. I hate the OTT customer service at some places where they come over every quarter of an hour or so to check on you and interfere with your dining experience. This is NOT one of those places. To me Toby Carvery is always a winner, nice meats, help yourself to veg. Get a king-size plate for an extra £1.99, lovely. Conor the Bar Manager was also good. I do feel sorry for the Chef though, who said tomorrow (Christmas Day), he's having to cook about 1000 Christmas Dinners! Thankyou for helping to make it a good day, and a good early Christmas Day.

Excellent carvery very nice staff..Not many people very relaxed place to party well worth a visit to see for your self please give it a try if you like carvery places

7 adults. Roast dinner lunch. Drinks (non-alcoholic) all for around £9 pp (with discount voucher). What more is there to say? Food fine. Never going to win awards but perfectly edible. Staff were pleasant. My first time in a Toby carvery for about 30 yrs. It was a lot better than I remembered!

I visited for breakfast, always warm and plenty to choose from. Food is good for the price. The staff here are very attentive and keep the place tidy when I’ve visited. Overall a very nice place to eat and drink.

We enjoyed our breakfast. We like we can pop in and breakfast buffet is hot and food is cooked well. The staff were welcoming and helpful. A pleasant relaxed breakfast with friends without having to clear up.

Went here one Friday (4/10/24) with a group of friends, the staff were all lovely, there was a wide variety of food available where you get the carvery which were all very delicious honestly 10 outa 10 would recommend

Stood at the bar for 20 mins trying to order food to be told the one person who was working there that he couldn't serve us as he couldn't use the till. We was here fory 40th birthday and they totally spoilt the evening. We was told to go back to our table and someone would come and serve us but they just carried on ignoring us. Don't come here if u want something to eat and drink

We had booked at Snaresbrook but they had a power cut and were closed for the day making Woodford busier than usual. I know it is cheap and cheerful food, made cheaper by our Groupon vouchers but we had 5* service. One of the ladies with us has an autoimmune disorder that means her diet is limited and the staff could not have been more helpful. Our server got the manager to come chat with her, then the chef came and said he would cook all her vegetables separately to avoid contamination. The lovely young lady serving us said not to get refillable drinks as the syrups contain gluten, something I did not know! Our friend was thrilled and as it was her first day visiting from NZ it left a lovely impression. Well done Toby Carvery, you were brilliant and we were very grateful.

We lunch here at least once a week, as always the staff namely Jill, Donna and Chefs Louise and Alex ensure our dining experience is second to none. Food is served fresh, hot and tastes delicious. Thank you all at Toby Woodford.

Had a lovely day with my family at Woodford, very lovely service from Louis-very smiley :)) 100% stars *** Came before and was served by Louis on another bank holiday and he was rushing around like a maniac very well done to him!

Excellent! Friendly! Welcoming and not to busy so service was great. Chefs were lovely talking about the food and the manager didn’t seem to stop making sure everyone was okay and clean! Great job and a great place to go!
