Took my parents for a Friday lunchtime roast. We got a warm welcome, were seated conveniently (my leg was in a pot). Drinks orders were taken and the Guinness was fab. The food and service from the carvery were brilliant, took a while as they were so busy dealing with takeout orders too, but worth the wait. Good value for money, plenty of parking outside. Thanks, we’ll be back again soon.

Manic mum massively appreciates how the mega staff saved the day and totally looked after all our hungry teens. Excellent breakfast and hugely kind staff. Thank you so much

So the food wasn't the best tonight. Turkey was not ready and some my party only eat Turkey, so had to try Beef but that was very tough and fatty. The roast potatoes were very hard. And the yorkshire were a bit over cooked.However our server Katie was fabulous, she spoke to her manager and we got some free deserts. Thanks to Daniel, for the deserts and Ryan for the food served.

Amazing place we turned up with umpteen teenagers on spec, no reservation for a celebration GCSE results breakfast 15 minutes before breakfast finished. The staff didn't blink an eye and made sure we had everything we needed (including for those who eventually joined us at 10:55!) We all had more than we could possibly eat and drink and it made a perfect end to GCSE results morning. Thank you to everyone working there this morning. Incredible service. Highly recommend.

Had a lovely meal and great service from Kiki! Nice hot,fresh food. Pork was a bit fatty (1slice was just fat :-( ) but everything else was great.

Went for dinner, quite busy and a few of the veg pots were running low. Only fad tiny yorkshire puds but what we got was lovely. We keep getting surprise offers sent for money off etc and these do tempt us to go often, reasonable prices for a decent meal so we tend to visit quite often now.

The service was out of my expectation. It was my first time to Toby Carvery and I didn’t know the setting was kind of a semi-buffet. Special thanks to server Uahe who was attentive and kind to explain the details for us. Carver Ryan was also friendly and introduced us the meat options in a nice way. Food was delicious and I highly recommend this restaurant.

Ive been having breakfast here on a Saturday for a few months now, thanks Dan, Ross C and Ross W for excellent food and service every time.

It was a tragedy that i can only describe as a scam i feel cheated and i feel like i did not get my money wroth.i am warning you to under no circumstances order the breakfast surprise box because the food is cold and small and just is not worth our hard earned money.I am tempted to go back just to demand my deserved refund.

Yorkshire puddings cooked to long was really hard all 3 of us left them. We told the person who came to check that everything was ok, all they said was oh ok

I have been quietly going here for about 8 years,.. its a hidden gem,.. It's unassuming, but the staff are very friendly, professional and attentive. It has a great mixed customer base of individuals, families, local employees and friends,.. all day long. You can get a good home made cup of coffee and decent breakfast from 08:00. Pubs are shutting across the country, so it makes sense to me to support local long lived establishments like the "Queens" as it was,..especially where it is true that they working really hard to provide a real social and economic service by providing a social hub, food and drink all day at prices that are a lot cheaper than other types of cafe, restaurants and pubs in the area... its also a little quiet haven with a vast garden and yard at the rear which is a great place to gather your thoughts,. do your own thing or enjoy with family and friends. After 8 years I can honestly say that everyone is welcome and there is never a reason not to pop in. If you are not using the Queens you are missing the point ;)

I specifically asked for no cabbage and ended up being given it wish they would read the notes

Could do with more gravy as it always ends up being dry and sometimes the potatoes are burnt so I don't think I'm gonna be ordering here anymore

First time coming here for a carvery but it certainly won't be my last. 2 adults 2 kids. Front of house very welcoming and couldn't do enough to please. Food was amazing and a variety of different things to try. The different roast potatoes was a bonus. The chefs on today were very polite and they actually chatted with customers that's always a bonus. Thoughrally enjoyed the day give yourselves a pat on the back for a job well done. And see you all next time

Booked a table for 2pm today, we were seated quickly, no queue for for the food. The young lady behind the Carvery was very helpful, I have very serious dairy and egg allergies and everything was checked out for me. The food was beautiful and service was excellent. We will definitely go back. Well done everyone

Ordered a carvery as we could not get out to eat. The pieces of meat they sent were abysmal. Each piece so small it was literally just a mouthful. Requested no cauliflower, they sent cauliflower "stem", roast potatoes absolutely cremated. Disappointed with this service online order from somewhere we regularly visit.

The man who greeted us,and showed us our table was so good and helpful. I assume this is Daniel the manager. Our waiter John Paul was also very good as well. I had the carvery king size, but Steven the carver is very tight on the meat and it wasn’t worth paying the £2.00 extra as I had no more meat than my wife’s ordinary dinner. The dinner itself was lovely.

Speed of reaching our table was great. The speed of the chefs was fast. The atmosphere was cosy but the choice of music wasn't fitting. Food was high quality and good value. Plentiful amount of food. Lots of variety in drinks. Staff were organised and kind. Bill wasn't pushed on us too fast. Breakfast is a very different case, where you are provided with a minimal service buffet arrangement, paying first and being left to it. The food is alright and you are able to purchase bottomless soft drinks and filter coffee.

Usually you more or less know what you're getting with a Toby. However, this is the best one I've been to by far. Food was great, the place was really clean and tidy and bright, the staff were really welcoming and attentive and it was just an all round really nice experience. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Great food, atmosphere and cleanliness. Maybe not quite enough staff to tell when tables were looking to leave/pay.

To whom this may concern The experience was shocking I won’t lie and say I haven’t been before and I enjoyed it as I have however on this occasion not only was the food shocking the service was also terrible our server was Jean I can’t remember the manager on duty’s name however upon wishing to speak to a manager I had to ask 5 times before I even saw the server go over to the manager and grab his attention the manager I would understand had the server been busy taking orders but he was stood gabbing to another female member of staff who I had also asked to get me a manager on to why I had asked to speak to a manager there was a hair in two members of our party’s food i understand accidents like this happen however upon requesting to speak to a manager other party members including myself had gone to the toilet I notified Jean not to clear the plates from the table however when we had returned to the table all the plates had been cleared furthermore we had ordered pigs in blankets which we were assured would come not long after our we collected our carvery’s by time they had came the rest of the table was who had no issues had already finished their food I would like a GM or a manager with some understanding to contact me to discuss this further as I am really unhappy about this experience

Had a nice meal at the Carvery.. spoilt only by 2 loudmouth young mums on the next table who were on top note all the way through our meal.

Service was slow. We were seen by 4 staff who said nothing upon seeing us. Had to ask to be seated at the bar after 15 mins. Overall carvery was good, although the gammon extremely salty and roast potatoes bitter. Maybe it was an off day.

This is the best carvery I know and all the food is lovely and hot and tasty. Staff great. Good value for money. Pudding are gorgeous.

Decent place for breakfast. Go here when I don’t want to spend an arm and a leg on an English breakfast. Nice and convenient here 👍🏽

Working in Leeds found this Toby opposite side of the city to where we are stopping,,well worth the travel over excellent food and service and as always reasonably priced 👍👍 ,

Food was good but the chef was stingy with the cut portions and wasn't able to cut properly it was more like a butcher job. It tasted okay but it wasn't a great experience

Went there for buffet breakfast , was met by cheery staff and food was top notch , only complaint i had is the toasting machine is set to warm bread lol . Lovely decor and good food , what more can you ask for ?

Fantastic meal. Popped in for lunch with mates after a long drive. What really stood out was the service from Yacub. Really went the extra mile with us!!

Fantastic venue,visited the Queens on Sunday 30th June with my 2 sons and Mother we all had the carvery, absolutely fantastic homely food. All staff are very friendly and helpful, our waiterJ-Paul is a very busy and happy waiter. A really pleasant experience .

Me and my kids fave place to eat Jean paul is the best!!

sausage was burnt, bacon was stuck together in one lump, not separated before microwaving, no hash brown, eggs rock hard and one was just a hard yolk with very little white like it was cut off, beans and tomatoes was just juice with a teaspoon of beans.

Fresh food which was hot and tasty. Plenty of choice of both meat and vegetables. Only thing that let them down was not serving Earl Grey Tea

Does what it says on the tin, good value and for the cost a reasonable standard. No moans here.

Our server Jean-Paul was really lovely and had great customer service!

Booked online and was seated within 5 minutes of arriving. Had to wait over 5 minutes for the carver to come and serve us. Again there was no Lamb, it was only 7.30pm, the meat portions have certainly been cut down but what we got was nice. Good selection of potatoes and vegetables. Jean Paul our server was very polite and attentive and made sure we were OK. Good for the money but a little bit more meat would be nice.

Great food, but the queue ropes for the carvery were set too narrow for my wheelchair and no staff were around to help, so I had to move them myself. When the staff were around to help me they were lovely and very helpful and kind, but they seemed a bit understaffed.

Speed of service was excellent we was able to be seated straight away and we'd arrived slightly earlier than our booking time. Highly recommended the beef 👌

Went at 3:40 and the everything was dried out and shrivelledto the point where we couldn't eat it. kids had theirs but even they was complaining about it, we spoke to a member of staff who said they would replace what was there but by that time we was ready to go and it didnt look much better so we left. it's a shame as we were looking forward to it as we have been many times before but this time was really appalling.

My wife and I are regular diners at Toby Chapel Allerton Leeds. We wouldn't keep coming back if we didn't like the food and the service. Sometimes the plates are cool/cold. The restaurant does not seem to have plate warmers. If these were installed the food would remain hotter for longer and slow eaters would benefit. This is not a problem for me ! My wife says I eat too quckly !

We had a family meal here to celebrate my daughters birthday and there was a large group of us. Kiki greeted us straightaway and was super attentive and helpful. She was run off her feet all evening but found time to cut my daughters birthday cake for us and made it a very special evening. She was so friendly and went above and beyond. It was a hot night and there was no air con where they placed us so we couldn’t really enjoy the carvery as it was so hot in there.

Pork was excellent and good service lots of choice for vegetables some different from the normal ones

Normally we really enjoy our meals at Toby, but last night was disappointing. Meagre portion of meat (even though from where we sat we could see the chef being much more generous to certain customers), limited vegetables (or at least not the usual vegetables you would expect for a roast dinner, particularly the lack of parsnips), which was just about warm enough, so had obviously been sitting in the not so hot service dishes for awhile. Not particularly friendly staff serving the meat and vegetables, but other staff were very friendly

It is a place where people who live in the area dine, not a tourist area in my opinion. But you eat well.

I regularly visit for weekday lunch with my elderly mum. The food is always excellent and the staff are very friendly and attentive. We always look forward to our visits.

The front of house male member of staff was very rude, obviously not a people's person. I will not be returning for this reason you are lucky I gave you 1star. Only good thing was there was plenty parking.

Carvery dinner was lovely. Smaller portions available for children or small appetites. A starter plus chips for one guest with a little appetite was no problem at all.

First time here and there was very good service from Ross C, lovely food selection, and good atmosphere. Overall very lovely :)

They ran out of meat and didn't inform us upon arival or when we were placing our order. The meat that was left was cold and very fatty. The veg was also under cooked and cold. I appreciate it was busy and they may have had low staff members and problems in the kitchen but doesn't excuse how bad the food was. 5 of us left hungry and not very impressed.

unfortunately the service was a bit slow, i had to wait a few minutes to be served. however, the chef was very kind and apologetic. the food was delicious. our waitress kiki was polite, friendly and checked in frequently, she is a true star to this establishment. overall a lovely dining experience.

Waiting staff excellent. Host failed to explain clearly why we couldn’t swap tables to the one behind us. Had he been clear I wouldn’t have been so insistent. Food better than usual standards achieved with other branches. Wonderfull food cleen all the time always made welcome by all the staff takes time for you no matter what they are doing my family come to chaplealaliton at least 3 times a week pleas try for yourself and find out for your self you won't be disappointed we never are Diane krylczuk manning.
