Oporto in Leeds

Oporto is a great spot for a drink, a bite to eat, or to get PISSED! 10/10. Great staff, great music, great bar!

Our household of four ordered four different dishes but were equally appalled by what was delivered as so called food. Everything we bit into tasted deeply offensive - an insult to the senses on a molecular level. The tofu scramble was saltier than the dead sea, the seitan shockingly rubbery and tasteless, the fried bread soft and dripping with oil, the vegan cheese cold and unmelted. The beans were edible but definitely underwhelming and even the single mushroom tasted as though it's been fried in rancid oil. If we didn't have to pay up front for this smorgasbord of underachievement we wouldn't have paid at all. AVOID AVOID AVOID this breakfast /brunch horror show.

Salí con algunos amigos y me encantaron los cócteles y pasé una noche increíble. No reservamos, pero el portero ordenó nuestra mesa, su nombre era osmin y es un crédito para su empresa para la que trabaja, absolutamente encantador y realmente profesional. El personal es amable y servicial. Tuve una noche brillante y no me puedo quejar de nada. La barra sigue las reglas y pautas de Covid, pero aún tiene un ambiente brillante. Un lugar absolutamente fantástico que recomiendo encarecidamente ir. Personal increíble, gorilas brillantes y cócteles fabulosos. ¿Qué más se puede pedir?

Cocktails and vegan nosh... lovely staff... junk food but tastes amazing. Been back a few times can’t complain. Defo worth a visit

Allowed to book two separate tables on the same booking then told we couldn't talk to each other. Bouncers aggressive and obstructive for no apparant reason. Avoid at all costs the bouncers are a disgrace, will not be visiting again.

Nos quedamos unos 30 segundos antes de que la fealdad única del entorno nos hiciera girar sobre nuestros talones y partir.

Llegamos 3 minutos tarde y nos saludó con "oh, solo te estaba llamando", sin sonrisa ni bienvenida. Caminé hasta nuestra mesa donde había una silla colgando del borde de las escaleras, afortunadamente lo noté antes de sentarme. No nos explicaron nada, tuvimos que preguntar dos veces cómo conseguimos nuestras bebidas. Como no estábamos seguros de si había una aplicación o si te acercaste al bar. En ambas ocasiones nos dijeron que alguien estaría "contigo en 2 minutos nena", lo cual no sucedió, esperamos unos 20 minutos. Antes incluso de que termináramos nuestro pedido, el camarero se alejó. Se trajeron bebidas y no recibimos un "disfrute sus bebidas", la comida fue llevada a la mesa y básicamente tirada. Nuevamente, no recibimos un "disfrute su comida".Me parece repugnante que gastemos más de 40 y tuviéramos que pagar un cargo por servicio, no recibimos un buen servicio y con gusto acepto un reembolso completo, ya que estoy consternado por la forma en que nos trataron. No estaba ocupado, había mesas vacías. Hay una excusa para un mal servicio al cliente.

Rude staff and would appreciate a warm welcome and a smile. Decent food but overall nowt special and not worth the price

Been a few times and the food has always been to a high standard and really delicious. There’s a great range to choose from and their seasonal menus are beaut too. Portion sizes are just right and value for money. One of my favourite spots in town for vegan food!!

Met friends for the festive menu.We had the burger and boxing day fries as sharers. Ideas and presentation was great. And to share worked. The salt level and carb beige overload did make the eating a sleepy experience. Atmosphere in place great. Eaten here a few times and always sadly feel everything is too heavy. Hopefully the spring menu will introduce a few more healthy bits. Or I just need to realise I'm not a junk fan.

This place has a great vibe. Late night you can dance or sit in the next room with a nice atmosphere for a drink. Came here on the weekend and it was great. Haven't seen any live music but I've heard it's good!

Female staff member was so rude and had a go at my partner over literally nothing and then two other times came near to where we were sat to make a big song and dance over the thing she had a go at her over. We left our beers and went somewhere else. Please don’t go here, thank you.

I have been to this bar on many occasions. The atmosphere is amazing, the bar staff are sooo friendly and happy , the music is top notch and the drinks prices for a major city centre venue are reasonable. It is my go too bar when I need a pick up , oh and they serve fantastic, tasty and healthy food in the kitchen . If your visiting leeds please check out Oporto you won't be dissapointed

La mayoría de nuestras salidas nocturnas incluyen un viaje a Oporto. Gran bar con excelente personal y excelentes personas. En un momento, mi compañero de trabajo fue al bar y las dos damas que estaban detrás de la barra casi la PIERDEN INCONCIENTE, balanceando las luces del techo de un lado a otro. Ese personal estaba claramente intoxicado y nos hizo sentir EXTREMADAMENTE. l INCOMPARABLE. Arruinó por completo nuestra noche. NUNCA volveremos a este lugar. NO RECOMIENDO, NUNCA.

Place was quiet, but drinks were good, and the food was fantastic. Would definitely go again. Would recommend the crispy chilli chickpeas in particular

So delicious vegan food. I would love to try everything on the menu. The chef is so friendly and accomodating. You cannot give this place a miss. The portion size is enough and the price is not too much. Defiately good value for money.

We both have never been in this kitchen it’s AMAZING I can’t believe I haven’t gone sooner. Definitely will be going back soon.

I had the vegan equivalent to a donner kebab with chips. It was delicious, and the portion to price ratio was fair too.

I used to drink in this bar all the time when I lived in Leeds. Happily returned on a Saturday afternoon for a couple of drinks. Friendly staff & good atmosphere with good music. They also serve vegan food.

Friendly bar and vegan eatery. A small range of vegan burgers and wraps, everything we ordered was delicious. Hosts live music. A great place!

Hemos estado queriendo visitarla por un tiempo, después de probar Knave's Kitchen en un evento de comida en Halifax. Finalmente logré llegar a Leeds para el almuerzo de esta semana y fue excelente. Muy buena comida chatarra vegana con papas fritas particularmente brillantes. Recomendaría la envoltura de "pescado" y el kebab, vale la pena intentarlo.

Tienen una gran selección de comidas veganas durante el día. Tenía una deliciosa envoltura que honestamente fue genial! Y también he estado en la noche para tomar una copa y tienen una gran variedad de música. We went for the set menu vegan Christmas dinner which was very fairly priced, as were the drinks. The staff were lovely. The starter was brilliant, we had kholrabi tempura which was nice and spicey, the corn fritters were debut a little bland. The main course though, the mushroom and seitan Wellington, was disappointing. For one thing, seitan is not needed, it's easy to make a lovely mushroom Wellington without weird fake meat products, and the seitan wasn't well flavoured and there was so much of it that it was hard to enjoy. The highlight of the main was the broccoli, which is disappointing. The ice cream with pudding was nice but the custard with the Christmas pudding truffles (just Christmas pudding covered in chocolate, hardly a truffle) was thin and flavourless. Wouldn't eat again but would happily go in for a drink.

I was really happy when I saw that the menue was fully vegan. I ordered Tofu katsu curry, potato wedges and a soft drink which cost about £11. I then treat myself to a cheeky beer which came in a huge pint glass. Win Win.

Recientemente fui a Oporto para un club de cena, que se celebró en su sección de restaurante, Knave's Kitchen. The Kitchen ofrece sabrosa comida chatarra basada en plantas todos los días, y ahora organiza clubes de cenas mensuales (este mes fue sobre Halloween). 5 platos emparejados con cócteles para 31. Mi favorito era el kimchi 'alas de murciélago'. ¡Barato, delicioso y completamente libre de animales, no puede ser mejor que eso!

I recently visited this bar and was appalled at the bar staffs lack of response to the abuse I got from a male at the bar. He was sexually and verbally abusive making lude comments. I told the bar staff and they said to leave it. I then went to the toilet and the male in question decided to throw me the one finger sign. This resulted in me being thrown out of the bar as I caused confrontation. It’s not ok for females to be insulted and their voice not heard. I will avoid this bar in future. It’s really concerning that this behaviour is acceptable.

Very nice bar to have a few relaxed drinks. Not too loud, busy or dark. No loud groups spoiling the atmosphere.

Great little venue for listening to local bands - great atmosphere cosy bar area - staff made us feel very welcome.

Bank holiday Sunday night place was empty, three gents walked up for their first drink of the night and we were turned away because there wasn't a lady in our party.

Fui muchas veces a Oporto y tuve días que se ve que tuve suerte y la pase muy bien pero las otras veces no estuvo bueno. Una de las veces estaba sentada con tres amigas tranquilas tomando algo en una mesa de la puerta y viene el de seguridad a decirnos que nos teníamos que ir porque estábamos molestando y estábamos muy borrachas. Estábamos por nuestro primer trago y estábamos sentadas hablando y actualizándonos en nuestras vidas ya que hace meses no nos veíamos. Nos echaron agarrándonos de los brazos como si hubiéramos causado problemas. La segunda vez, fui con una amiga que vive allá y nos habíamos separado por un rato y ella pensó que estaba en Oporto, fue a buscarme y le pregunto al señor de la puerta si me había visto y le dijo que estaba en el baño, el señor bajo al baño atrás de ella y la hizo pasar por una situación incomoda. Los tragos están buenos, y tienen buena música pero las personas que tienen de seguridad en la puerta no son buenos. Tendrían que considerarlo. Definitivamente no voy a estar volviendo a este bar.

My girlfriend and I were up from London for the weekend and stumbled in here by chance and had an absolutely incredible evening. Hot dogs are some of the best we've had.

Estuve en Oporto con unos amigos a ver a mis amigos que estamos en una banda tocar en vivo. El lugar en sí es muy agradable, aunque los precios de las bebidas son bastante caras con £4 siendo el más barato para una pinta de cerveza. Con los precios elevados Diríais que podrá pagar para limpiar los baños, las mujeres eran absolutamente repugnante y inutilizable. Así que por lo general no me impresionó y probablemente no volveremos.

A great night out will be had by all at oporto, the bar staff are friendly and informed and there's loads of seating and room for socialising. One of Call Lane's best.

I have to say I was looking forward to coming here during our recent visit to Leeds. We arrived at the door at around 900ish on Saturday the 8th August only to be met by the doorman telling us we couldn't get in as there...

This place had very good live music. They have a bar that has all the drinks you would need. The sofa's are very chilled out.

I am a regular visitor of Leelexs many bars and restaurants but this is one I WONT be visiting again, the door staff are awful and I got charged £30 for one drink by a bartender who then refused to give me the difference back. It's alright to go here if your a local but if your from out of town don't even bother the bouncers won't let you in for no reason at all! Brought my cousin here last weekend and got told he couldn't come in because he looked like he was from Wakefield, he's not but so what if he was?!

I only go here for the music - it's awesome! Can be a bit expensive but I don't mind it's worth it! They always have good gigs going on here too mostly mid week and I highly recommend checking them out for Leeds talent.

Went in for a few drinks with friends, it was expensive and the drinks were under poured. Received a cranberry juice with no vodka, should have been a double.

Yes it's got bags of ambience, a great range of beers & cocktails in its cosy two rooms but it's the people who make the difference. I think Leeds has a number of impressive bars staffed by real professionals and this is certainly one of them. Whether it's knowing exactly who is next to be served without looking up or mixing four different cocktails in double quick time this is the place to pop into at some point during your evening out.

Pretty good bar, however drinks are not cheap, and the atmosphere is slightly lacking. Music is okay though.

We went to this bar for a quick drink after dinner, and actually got talking to a lovely couple in there all evening!The place feels cosy and warm, with wooden chairs and tables and large windows at the front.We had hot rum cocktails for about £7 each which were great for a cold night! We didn't spend a lot of time here but it seems like a great bar for quick drinks before heading out.

Went to Oporto early November, the atmosphere was great and the bar staff we're outstanding, Pippa and Alison in particular, great customer service, will definitely go back in the future!

This bar is one of my favourites (if not, THE favourite) in Leeds. Great place to hang-out, bar staff are really on top of it too. Never, never had a bad night in this great bar. Fantastic music too. I love it.
