My friend and I had a toastie and milkshake each. I had the vegosauras and my friend the maccy t, we both had a chocolate milkshake. The Toasties were amazing, not your average toastie but better! Less cheese, more cheese sauce, which I personally prefer. The milkshakes were delicious too. The prices are very reasonable, however I did find this place online through an offer which I purchased making it a steal. My friend and I both reminisce about how good the toasties were. We will be back.

Loved the concept, didn’t love the food. Had a veggiesauras which included avocado and halloumi but there was very little filling and the special cheese sauce which is in every toastie didn’t compliment the fillings. The chips were far too greasy and over cooked or cooked in old oil. The other toastie was chicken, lettuce, tomato and gerkin (normally has bacon too but we asked for it without). Again this lacked filling and the cheese sauce was unpleasant. The chicken also seemed poor quality. We love toastie a but this didn’t match up to toastie’s we enjoy normally. Also 2 black coffees had a burnt taste. Real shame as this could be a great little independent cafe. Sorry we won’t be back.

I bought a groupon deal, 2 toasted sandwiches and 2 milkshakes. We got there quite early and were the only people in there. There’s a good selection of toasted sandwiches. I had mushroom, blue cheese and onion, and my son had tuna, cheese and red onion, both were tasty. The milkshakes came with squirt cream and sprinkles on top and were really nice too. It was only after wed ordered that I realised there was a chalk board with other stuff on! Next time I’ll definately be trying the home made crisps! It’s quite quirky inside and small. You eat off packing crates! The staff seemed really cheerful. They were polite, friendly and effecicient. Especially the lady! If your in boscombe I recommend trying it out!

This was a favourite bustling place with cakes & pastries to die for plus a great breakfast. Now on what would have been a busy day it’s half empty, self service & nothing to tempt us on the cake counter. Only good point is it’s still dog friendly!

The atmosphere in the Spyglass is perfect and the service great. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The prices are great and value for money. The Senior menu is just perfect for those who don’t want a huge plate of food. Can’t wait for the Summer so that we can sit outside whilst eating our meal.Always look forward to going there if only for a coffee and a piece of Carrot cake. Wow.

I have been here a couple of times over the past few weeks. The first time I had lunch which was lovely. I then had a coffee and cake on my second visit but the coffee was probably the worst I had experienced in a while. Today will be my last visit to the tea gardens for food. The service is always good but today the food was not satisfactory. I ordered a prawn sandwich in marie rose sauce, which was what I ordered the previous time. There was no sauce so to speak and what there was made the bread too soggy pick up or eat. I was in a rush so just ate the prawns and salad and mentioned it to the waitress who was lovely. She came back and said that her manager said it was because the sauce was watery. Who says that to a customer? The manager did not come out to apologise but left it to her young waitress to deal with. Shocking customer service. Why would you serve something knowing full well it would make the bread soggy. Poor inferior products are being used as I have never experienced this before. The tea gardens are in a lovely setting but I would only visit for ice cream.
